Dr. Snuggles and friends return for episode 41 of our spin-off show about the weird world of softcore skin-flicks! This episode, we go deep into the world of filmmaking! We check out Jag Mundhra’s 1993 dramedy L.A. Goddess - about a body double and her deeply romantic romance with a movie producer. Weirdly, Joe Estevez, Jeff Conaway and James Hong are all in it. But that’s not even the most exciting part: we were joined for this by Actual Filmmaker Paul C. Miller, writer and director of Maximum Thrust, which we covered back in episode 35. Find out the answers to burning questions such as, ‘Do actors really ask what their motivation is all the time?’, and ‘Was trombone Paul’s first choice of instrument growing up?’, and 'Has Paul ever been to Balboa Island, where Bruce Penhall grew up?'. Plus, we chat about the life and times of Kathy Shower, star of L.A. Goddess, and Playboy's Playmate of the Month for May 1985 and the Playmate of the Year for 1986. She had a surprisingly packed acting career on top of that too, with roles on CHiPs (always with the CHiPs connections on this show lately for some reason), Santa Barbara and even American Kickboxer 2. Reel45 Podcast with Greg Hancock and Stefan Juhnell - Speedway
This is the Episode that Greg has been waiting for. Well, we have have been building up to Episode 45 and trying to determine what guest we would approach. Of course it was an easy choice with 2x World Speedway Champion, Hollywood Actor and a great mentor/hero to Greg: Bruce Penhall! As a kid, Greg wanted the number 45 which came from his hero Bruce Penhall and has stuck with him throughout his career to date. In the world of speedway, most people know who the number 45 belongs to but what more lies behind it?? This podcast brought out some interesting yet truthful stories that many don't know and that includes Greg. Much success with racing, a great Hollywood career, and family man who had a hard time getting away from racing. Following the tragic accident with Bruce's youngest son Connor, life changed quickly for the Penhall family and you too should hear how. We could not make the trip to California to get this podcast with Bruce so it was done over a weblink which went pretty good most of the way but we ended with a severly disrupted signal at the later stage of the Podcast. We considered re-recording the podcast but the content that we got from Bruce relating to the family and accident involving his son Connor was so touching that we could not do that again and have it spelled out so clearly. Please, please accept our apologies with the late disruptions but do not be discouraged from listening to this touching story. Bruce Penhall is a true legend... Thanks for listening. Dr. Snuggles and friends return for episode 34 of our spin-off show about the weird world of softcore skin-flicks! We return once again to the films of the Sidaris family, this time with the final Drew Sidaris effort, The Dallas Connection! Debate rages over whether this is his best work, or whether Enemy Gold is the better movie, but it’s definitely sad to see him step back from directing either way - unfortunately, he’s never done another film since. After the relatively subdued mood of Enemy Gold, Drew is in full Sidaris mode this time around: double crosses, explosions, deadly remote control cars and boats, and a plot that’s really only totally comprehensible on multiple viewings! Plus, the debut of Julie K Smith in the Sidaris-verse™. We wave goodbye to a couple of long term cast members in this one, though. Most notably, Bruce Penhall, who did five films as Bruce Christian, and then two as Chris Cannon. So, we turn the spotlight on him this episode and take a look at his life and career. Did you know he’s the only American to win back to back World Championship titles in two completely different sports?! What a guy! Hey, why not call us on our hotline? (724) 2GO-GO69 or (724) 246-4669!
Life was about racing in the fast lane while going to school and working for his parents. Bruce Penhall talks about his years racing Speedway and what it was like to win two world championships in Europe and on his home turf. He had the chance to retire while on the podium with a job lined up as a star on the hit show CHIPs in the early 80's. Bruce went on to form a successful concrete cutting company that can be seen all around Southern California highways and major construction sites. Bruce also talks to us about losing a child and how to grow and teach others about the loss. Jim Riley your Podcast Host and CEO of Adventure.

Welcome to Episode 14 "The Real Sissy"! A cool family story that outlines the life of Carrie "Sis" Hancock and what it was like to be the youngest of the siblings and also the only sister to the Hancock Boys. She grew up like any young girl but you wouldnt find just Barbie Dolls and dresses in her closet. Sissy was with her brothers every step of the way riding dirt bikes, bicycles, skateboards, washing bikes and leathers. She was also probably helping them to do their homework from time to time. She had the caring, helpful, mother instinct from day 1 yet one of the hardest working women you can find. Growing up around the speedway tracks installed a large network into Sissy's world which led her to work with and run a business for American Speedway World Champion and legend "Bruce Penhall", business with another Speedway legend "Mark Cherry and curently plays a large role in a business called Baja Tours owned by former Honda HRC man and industry legend "Chris Haines". She is no slouch and still one of, if not the biggest fan of brothers Greg and Dave. You have to listen to her story of growing up with her brothers, watching Greg leave his homeland to pursue an international motorcycle racing career, watching older brother Dave make a move to Illinois and become the lone sibling taking on life in California.
