Pastor Roger's Sunday morning message.
The Feast of Unleavened Bread, a seven-day Jewish holiday following Passover, commemorates the Israelites' hasty departure from Egypt, emphasizing their liberation and the need for spiritual purity by abstaining from leavened foods, which symbolize sin.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is primary. The demonstration of the Spirit and of power are secondary. The demonstration of the Spirit and of power do not replace the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus. The demonstration of the Spirit and of power affirm the truth of the Gospel.
Our wrong view, or shallow understanding of angels: Seraphim or Seraphs, Cherubim or Cherubs & The Four Living Creatures. Each have important roles in heaven serving God.
Love is the very identity of God. The holiness of God is the declaration of His completeness in every way. He is perfect in love, wisdom, and everything else. His love is His power. Anytime, anywhere, when a person truly encounters Jesus Christ in a personal way, they know in their heart that He is love, and that He means them no harm, but has planned the best for them.
Churches considered "not Christ-centered" often prioritize aspects like personal self-improvement, social activism, or cultural relevance over the core teachings of Jesus Christ, potentially downplaying the centrality of his sacrifice and resurrection in their messages, with examples including some forms of the "prosperity gospel," "social gospel," and churches heavily focused on motivational or therapeutic sermons that may not explicitly preach the gospel regularly.
While experiencing brokenness can feel difficult, it doesn't equate to personal weakness; it can be a sign of vulnerability and willingness to acknowledge one's imperfections.
Authentic means something is genuine, real, and true to its origin. It can also mean something is true to one's own personality, spirit, or character.
Without consulting anybody, God takes a nobody and turns them into a somebody in front of everybody.
All the Treasures in Christ are designed to empower you to bring old things to a conclusion so that new things can begin.
We serve the God who makes all things new. He starts from the inside of our lives and works his newness through us to the outside. He starts small within us like a seed and as we nurture his life within us, it grows up and pours out of us in the form of generous blessing to others by way of mercy and grace empowered by the Holy Spirit.
Jesus-The Mountain of the Lord. The same yesterday, today and forever.
In the Bible, the Garden of Eden is depicted as a mountain where God is present and Heaven and Earth overlap. The prophet Ezekiel refers to Eden as "the garden of God" and "the holy mountain of God“
Hebraic perspective- In the early church, the "mountain of God" was understood as a symbolic representation of God's presence, most often referencing Mount Sinai from the Old Testament where Moses received the Ten Commandments, signifying a place of divine revelation, encounter with the divine, and a call to ascend spiritually to reach a closer relationship with God; essentially, a place of holiness and transcendence where one could experience God's power and majesty.
You can learn to abide in His love for you. You will learn that His love is freely given and that it is the foundation of your new life.
Recalibrate -To readjust or change your aim or measurements to hit a mark or desired outcome.
Live with the Knowledge that Deception will be very seductive and will increase. One thing you need to know right off is this: anyone can be subject to deception. No one is immune.
Changing the understanding: speaks of the way unbelievers perceive the Church. Today many see it as out of date and irrelevant in contrast to how it was viewed in the book of Acts.
Research has shown that across a wide array of psychological events, people tend to focus more on the negative as they try to make sense of the world. Pay more attention to negative events than positive ones. Learn more from negative outcomes and experiences. That's our negativity bias. We humans have a propensity to give more weight in our minds to things that go wrong than to things that go right—so much so that just one negative event can hijack our minds in ways that can be detrimental to our work, relationships, health, and happiness.
What does the Gospel of Jesus Christ bring us? Through the crucifixion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the debt of our sin payment has been paid in full by the blood of Jesus at the cross. The Holy Spirit indwells us giving us new life in Christ. We are eternally alive in Him.
1. Spiritual Preparation is the #1 Key 2. Biblical Preparation: Knowing the Word of God 3. Natural Preparation: Preparing as you can for the coming days

It is not enough just to study the Word—we are meant to talk with God as we read it. Bible study is meant to create an active dialogue in our hearts with God. One way in which we gain strength in our prayer lives is by feeding on the Word through engaging in conversation with God as we read it.
The Word of the Lord Shall not return void but will accomplish. Is our Daily Bread / Manna. It is like fire shut up inside us, and a Word in due season.
From Paul's moment of salvation in AD 34 to his imprisonment and martyrdom in AD 66 Paul served the Lord 32 years. He did not waver in his commitment to Christ. He kept the flame in his heart on fire.
Paul is going to answer the questions that the Thessalonians are asking regarding the death of their loved ones, what will the resurrection of the dead look like, and who will rise first? Again, Paul's taking theology, and using it to speak to real life issues (this is theology's purpose).
Reimaging the Church is not just finding new clever ideas how to do church or utilize technology but is more a rediscovering the grassroots of the New Testament Church , a building of a covenant community of fellowship love and unity. A community that is very diverse but has a singleness of heart and purpose which is to love God and create an environment where people can be discipled, be held accountable, and care for the needs of one another.
We (you) are chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world. In his love, we (you) are predestined for adoption to himself as sons.
The Kingdom of God is identified by only 3 characteristics: Righteousness (Goodness), Peace and Joy. It is found in the Holy Spirit! If there is no joy, or if there is depression, it is a sign that the Kingdom is not being manifested in our lives by the Holy Spirit.
The term “bosom” (kolpos) refers to the front of the body, between the arms. Kolpos was used to refer to the fold in the shepherd's robe – that is, the hollow formed by the upper forepart of a rather loose garment bound by a girdle or sash. It was used for carrying things and is where a shepherd would tuck a hurt or scared lamb that needed a shepherd's care. It is the place closest to the heart, denoting intimacy.
A son mentality in the kingdom of God is that father God is your daddy and he has provided everything for you, and the relationship with him gives access for you to receive everything he has to pour out and he will release through your life what he wants you to do in the world.
The very nature of Father God is generosity.
Father God is FOR us. Jesus is WITH us. The Holy Spirit is IN us.
