I Am the Bread of Life What are you feeding your soul with? In Episode 163 of 2 Minute Disciple, we meditate on John 6:35–40, where Jesus makes one of the most profound declarations in all of Scripture: “I am the Bread of Life.” The crowd has been searching for bread, signs, and provision. But Jesus reveals that their deepest need is not something He can give—it is Him. He is the true Bread from Heaven. He is the One who satisfies the hunger beneath every other hunger. Every human heart longs for something more: meaning, belonging, peace, purpose, security, and life that does not run dry. Jesus declares that these deepest longings ultimately find their fulfillment in Him. But this passage offers another remarkable promise. Jesus says: “Whoever comes to Me I will never reject.” Not sometimes. Not conditionally. Not only when we have everything together. Whoever comes. For weary believers, struggling disciples, and those wondering whether they truly belong, these words offer profound comfort. The invitation remains open, and the welcome remains secure. Jesus goes even further. He promises that those who belong to Him will not be lost. The Father's will is that Christ preserve and raise up all who trust in Him. Our hope rests not in the strength of our grip on Jesus, but in the strength of His grip on us. In this episode, you'll discover: • What Jesus means when He calls Himself the Bread of Life • Why our deepest hunger can only be satisfied by Christ • The comfort found in Jesus' promise to never reject those who come to Him • How spiritual security is rooted in God's faithfulness • A practical habit for turning toward Jesus throughout your day Scripture John 6:35–40 (NLT)

Are You Willing to Speak Up and Share, Publicly, Your Relationship with Jesus? MESSAGE SUMMARY: Are You Willing to Speak Up and Share Publicly Your Relationship with Jesus? (Resurrection Anglican Church; Woodstock, GA) To what extent are you willing to share with others your relationship with Jesus? What price are you willing to pay, personally, so that others may know the good news of Jesus – the Gospel? What are you willing to go through to advance the Kingdom of God? In Ephesians 3:1-2, the Apostle Paul summarizes the price that he joyfully accepts to carry the news of the Gospel to the Nations: “For this reason I, Paul, a prisoner for Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentile -- assuming that you have heard of the stewardship of God's grace that was given to me for you.". In Acts 26:19, Paul gives his public testimony, in his hearing before King Agrippa; and told the King and everyone in attendance that he, Paul, felt privileged to testify, to the Nations, about his conversion and his relationship with Jesus: “Therefore, O King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision, but declared first to those in Damascus, then in Jerusalem and throughout all the region of Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds in keeping with their repentance.". Paul was in prison facing a trial by the despotic Emperor of Rome, Nero. However, you may never have to go to prison or face death to communicate the Gospel; but you will face both physical and emotional discomfort as you become a visible follower of Jesus. While articulating the Gospel to others is important, the most effective way to communicate the Gospel is not by what you say but how you live – walk the talk and let others see Jesus in you. The world, the country, your friends, and your family have so many issues and hurts for which Jesus and His Gospel are the answer; but we keep this good news a secret by our unwillingness to live a visible life walking the talk of the Gospel and sharing the Gospel. Do you have the faith and courage and are you willing to share the Gospel? If you do, then pray for God's guidance to you for His will and role for you. TODAY'S PRAYER: Keeping the Sabbath, Lord, will require a lot of changes in the way I am living life. Teach me, Lord, how to take the next step with this in a way that fits my unique personality and situation. Help me to trust you with all that will remain unfinished and to enjoy my humble place in your very large world. In Jesus' name, amen. Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 129). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, I affirm that because of what God has done for me in His Son, Jesus, I AM FORGIVEN. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): Ephesians 3:1-21; Acts 9:15; Acts 26:12-23; Psalms 124:1-8. Before visiting a church or following an online pastor, make sure you ask the hard questions about who Jesus is, how salvation works, and whether the church stands on biblical truth or cultural compromise. In this episode, C.L. Whiteside breaks down five red-flag beliefs that should make you run from any church that twists Scripture, promotes deception, or leads people away from the truth that sets them free.
In this sermon from John 17:3, we explore the heart of eternal life: knowing God. Jesus did not die merely to give us information about God, but to bring us into a real relationship with Him. As believers, we are invited near—not to remain distant spectators, but to know Christ deeply and personally. This message examines how Christians grow in their knowledge of God through His Word, through prayer, through suffering, and through the encouragement of His people. As we learn to crave the pure spiritual milk of the Word and pursue intimacy with Christ, we discover that true spiritual growth is not about empty religion, but a living relationship with the God who saves.Key Points:1. Crave the pure spiritual milk of the word2. Through prayer3. Through suffering4. Through his people

In Your Personal Relationship with Jesus, Fast and Feast with Jesus to Drink Heartily of His Word as Jesus Satisfies and Nourishes You MESSAGE SUMMARY: Most of the time when you are fasting, you are thinking about what you must give up in the fast. Rather, in your fasting, than focusing on “going without” you should think of fasting as a call by Jesus to come to Him and feast with Him. Paul's example for us, in Acts 14:22-23, occurs after he had been stoned and left for dead after preaching the Gospel in Antioch. Rather than leaving the field of discipleship in fear, Paul returned the next day to preach the Gospel and: “strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying that through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God. And when they had appointed elders for them in every church, with prayer and fasting they committed them to the Lord in whom they had believed.". In your feast with Jesus, you can drink heartily of His Word to let Jesus satisfy and nourish you. TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, help me to grab hold of you today. I need you. Set me free to begin reorienting my life around you, and you alone. Help me to pay attention to and honor how you have uniquely made me. Thank you for the gift of rest. In Jesus' name, amen. Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 122). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Anger. Rather, I will abide in the Lord's Forgiveness. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5). Today’s Bible Verse: “But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.” — Luke 8:15 Luke 8:15 highlights what it looks like for God’s Word to truly take root in our lives. In the parable of the sower, Jesus describes different responses to truth—but here, we see the result of a receptive heart. It’s not just about hearing the Word; it’s about holding onto it. “Want to listen without ads? This is message 30 in Gospel Record of John John 10:1-21 True security and abundant life are found only in the One who knows His people personally, leads them faithfully, and gives Himself for their sake. Unlike false voices that seek to use and destroy, He calls, guides, and protects with perfect care and love. His authority is not forced but recognized by those who hear and trust His voice. The greatest proof of His goodness is that He willingly laid down His life so that others might live, offering both safety and a lasting relationship to all who follow Him. On this episode of the In The Room podcast, Naomi, Pastor Billy, and Reed, discuss Pastor Troy's conclusion to his Power of Prayer series, emphasizing that gratitude is the seed of increase and that breakthroughs can come through thanking God for what He has already done, including unseen protection. They reflect on how comfort can reduce thankfulness, and highlight 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18. The conversation explores why people default to complaining, the power of the tongue, taking responsibility, and how gratitude can counter anxiety by focusing on what God has given. They encourage practicing thanksgiving in small trials, discuss discipline through endurance experiences.

What do you do when you've committed to daily prayer, you've fasted, you've begged God, and your husband still doesn't believe? This episode is for the wife who loves her husband deeply and is trusting Jesus with something she can't control. I'm sharing six real, practical things I did during the many years before my husband came to salvation, things the Holy Spirit led me to one step at a time. These aren't a formula or a checklist, but they are rooted in scripture and in surrender, and I believe they can encourage you right where you are today. One of the most powerful moments in our journey actually involved my son praying over his dad at the dinner table, and what happened next is something I'll never forget. This is spiritual warfare in its most quiet, faithful form, and it is so worth tuning in to hear the whole story. If you've been carrying resentment, fear, or the weight of feeling alone in your faith at home, I pray this episode brings you hope and some very real, biblical encouragement for the road ahead. I'd also love for you to join me for our three-day fast and prayer happening now through Friday. It's not too late. Come worship and pray with us even if fasting isn't where you are right now. In this episode of Faith & Family Bible Study, Steve Wood explores how prodigal sons and daughters can return to a living relationship with Jesus through true repentance. Focusing on Gospel of Matthew Chapter 3, Steve explains John the Baptist's call to repentance as an inner change of heart that leads us back to God the Father. Drawing on Psalm 32 and the Parable of the Prodigal Son in Gospel of Luke Chapter 15, this episode shows that repentance is not despair, but hope—a movement from sinful self to the Father who welcomes His children home with mercy and joy. A powerful encouragement for anyone who feels far from God or longs for a fresh start in their faith. For more resources, visit us online at www.BibleforCatholics.com.

(NIV) 2 Corinthians 11:13–15 For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15 It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Jesus Followers' Personal Relationship with Jesus Comes from Humility as Sinners Through Seeking God's Mercy in Prayer MESSAGE SUMMARY: We do not deserve it; but we able to come to God, in a Personal Relationship with Him, because of His Mercy. We are all sinners. As Paul tells us in Romans 9:18: “So then he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills.". With God's Justice without His Mercy and His resulting Grace, you would face only eternal death as Justice for your sins. We can never enter God's presence for prayer when we are in our pride with our focus on ourselves. Also, Paul reminds us, in 1 Corinthians 1:30-31, that, in your Salvation through God's Grace, Jesus makes us “boast” only in the Grace provided us by God: “And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, so that, as it is written, ‘Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.'”. We can only enter God's presence when we humble ourselves in Jesus. Humility and penitence before God invite His presence – here I am, Lord; just as I am; have mercy on me a sinner. TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, everything in me resists following you into the garden of Gethsemane to fall on my face to the ground before you. Grant me the courage to follow you all the way to the cross, whatever that might mean for my life. And then, by your grace, lead me to resurrection life and power. In Jesus' name, amen. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, because I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Insensitivity. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit's fruit of Gentleness. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f). Jesus Followers' Righteousness Will Flow, with the Indwelling of the Holy Spirit, from Their Heart Through Their Personal Relationship with Jesus MESSAGE SUMMARY: You are called, as a Christian, to live a life that is deeply righteous and not shallow, superficial, or hypocritical. As Jesus tells us in Matthew 5:6: “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.". Your righteousness, as a Jesus Follower, should flow from your heart and from being in communion with the Holy Spirit. You should allow the Holy Spirit to create a clean heart and a pure heart within you. The righteousness of a clean heart is the righteousness that Jesus wants of His followers, as the Psalmist tells us in Psalms 51:10-12: “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.". TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, I affirm that because of what God has done for me in His Son, Jesus, I AM FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT. If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him! Maybe you feel like your relationship with God is slacking in some way because it doesn't look like your favorite Christian influencer's or pastor's "Christian Morning Routine." Perhaps you have felt disconnected from Him for a while and don't know how to get back to what you once had with God. Regardless of where you land on that spectrum, we all need to uncomplicate it. Living in Relationship With Jesus, 1 John 1:1-4
This Adult Faith Formation session focuses on how Christians can intentionally grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Fr. Will Rooney presents the heart of the Christian life as a response to God's love—received first as a gift and then lived out through charity, prayer, and daily faithfulness. Drawing on Scripture, the teaching of Pope Benedict XVI, and the wisdom of the Church, the talk emphasizes that growth in relationship with God is measured not by feelings but by growth in love. Participants are encouraged to deepen their relationship with Christ through daily prayer, fidelity to the commandments, frequent reception of the sacraments, and life within Christian community. The session also includes guided reflection on personal values and the creation of a practical rule of life. By setting concrete, realistic goals rooted in virtue, participants are invited to cooperate with God's grace and grow steadily in holiness, learning to love God, neighbor, and self more fully.
“Covenant Power: Transform Fear into Faith through the Power of Jesus Christ” explores how members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints can grow closer to the Savior through the covenants they make in the House of the Lord. As we start the New Year, you may be re-evaluating your priorities, habits, and goals for the year. What's most important? That can be a difficult question to answer! But for Paul, the answer was clear: his relationship with Jesus. In fact, he said he counts everything else garbage compared to knowing Jesus. In this week's passage, Paul talks about his desire for a growing relationship with Jesus.
Are you just going through the motions? Following others without testing the spirit? Don't let unhealed people, even social media gurus and high-level Christian entrepreneurs, sway you from the path God has laid out specifically for you. Discernment is key. The narrow path isn't easy peasy to follow, but always rewarding. Trust the Holy Spirit's guidance above everyone else's clamor. Others mean well, but your journey is NOT their journey ... I've learned this the hard way, my friends. A genuine relationship with Jesus is a continuous healing journey of repentance, persistence, perseverance, and resisting the enemy's attacks. A weak relationship with Jesus will cause everything else to crumble in your life. Many start relying on performance and man-made religions instead of a fruitful relationship with Jesus Christ. Learn the difference and strengthen your walk with Christ! TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Hatred. Rather, I will abide in the Lord's Love. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5). What if gratitude wasn't just something we practice — but a way of seeing our whole lives? This week, I'm sitting down with Virginia Wear Kujabi. She's seen firsthand how faith isn't limited to Sunday mornings — it's formed just as much in the workplace, the kitchen, and the quiet middle moments of life.Virginia shares what it looks like to trade a formula-based faith for a real, rooted walk with Jesus. We talk about learning gratitude as a posture instead of a checklist, finding God in our ordinary spaces, and the beauty that can grow in seasons of disappointment and transition. If you've been striving to “get it right” or just longing for deeper connection with God in your everyday life, this conversation will feel like a deep breath for your soul.“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18 To connect with Virginia, head over to @vwear and @theformedlife on IG!Listen to Virginia's podcast here: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-formed-life-podcast/id1826482126 Virginia's book, In Everything Give Thanks: https://amzn.to/4hVR0su SUPPORT BY WORDS: https://buymeacoffee.com/bywordsSHOP MY BOOKS:Waking Up: Living Open — https://amzn.to/3LusgrzLove Is Devotional — https://amzn.to/3S6OZhs FREE Path to Purpose Guide: https://hannahhughes.myflodesk.com/pathwaytopurpose My favorite Bible studies + devotionals - HANNAHHUGHES10 for 10% off: https://thedailygraceco.com?dt_id=300773 Connect: www.thehannahhughes.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/thehannahhughes/ https://www.instagram.com/bywordspodcast Shop my Amazon faves: https://www.amazon.com/shop/thehannahhughes
