SEASON FINALE "Sex Unmasked" 6 episodes, 6 Much Needed Conversations, and countless memories made! This season our goal was to have "Pillow Talk," so we could form a more comfortable and transparent space for ALL. Thank you to all including Top Shelf Mobile Bar for collaborating with your homegirls and bringing us the BEST drinks for the night. We came FULL CIRCLE with the season finale episode by discussing what sexual freedom meant and how we as women should not only aim to please our partners, but we should always aim to fulfill ourselves, as well. Thank you to everyone for joining the conversation via LIVE or coming to the studio. We can only hope moving forward we as a community can continue to have tough conversations and most importantly, come together to share our thoughts and opinions! SEE YOU NEXT SEASON!!! WE LOVE YOU ALL !!!!! - THE HOMEGIRLS YOU NEVER KNEW YOU HAD!
"Pillow Talk" Episode 4 WAS NOTHING SHORT OF AMAZING! We talked orgasms and fulfillment for women and prior to this episode airing we had to balance a lot of thoughts to get a breakdown of our objectives. Thoughts such as "are women as sexual as men?", "Do women need orgasms as much as men?", "Is it a common thing for an orgasm being difficult to have?", or "Should women expect to be satisfied in the bedroom every time?". In my (Meme) early years people would warn me to keep my sexual expectations low, and I wanted to SCREAM! I knew nobody wasn't saying that to my man at the time. From then I felt that every sexual encounter we had would begin with expectation of his orgasm and end with the success of it. However, Where is that attitude about my pleasure?? Stay tuned to Episode 4 to get the full out review of my perspective, Sams, and our live audience. Every week we put our all into not only the conversation but the full Sentiments2Self experience! Be ready to speak your mind, if you want, but KNOW your homegirls are going to give you the true experience of GIRLS NIGHT OUT!
Y'all Already Know wasp! Our Friday nights are G-N-O GIRLS NIGHT OUT!!!! If you missed last week that was then and this is NOW! WE BACKK serving you a new audience, new drinks of the night, a new conversation, and much more! This episode we took the conversation to THE NEXT LEVEL and explored a man or even women biggest fantasy which is THREESOMES and much more! Stay tuned for A MUCH NEEDED CONVERSATION.
Whew Chile....we really opened up a conversation with this one. We discussed the general idea of age while dating. Does age matter? Does it help to date younger or older? We addressed so many questions surrounding the topic of age and dating. Check out this episode to see what age group most women fall for on the age bracket. Be sure to comment, share, and tap into the rest of the season on your preferred podcasting platform!
As we approached the end of the season, we got into action with actually dating, and kicked this episode off with our first ever blind date on the show. The growls really made it a point to find Meme a man this season, so it was only right that Meme be set up on the blind date. Sam did all the arranging and had both Meme and Trent @1skeebo (Instagram) meet at a bar for drinks and good conversation. Thank you again to Trent (@1skeebo) for joining the conversation and being open to the topic this season! Tap into this conversation now to see how these two hit it off for their first blind date experience. Be sure to share, comment, and listen to the rest of this season on your preferred podcasting platform.
This episode starts off quite interesting with Meme calling up her ex-boyfriend out-of-the-blue to ask questions about their relationship post break up. Although this conversation serves as the icebreaker for the night, it truly primes the conversation for both Sam and Meme to ask each other questions pertaining to boundaries that they have while dating. What's really the dilemma with dating? Several juicy questions are asked and the ladies truly give their honest opinions. Be sure to share, comments, and check out the rest of the season on your preferred podcast platform.
Episode one opened this season's "Dating Game," and we literally gave the entire run down for the season. Both Sameerah and I shared what was important to us when it came to the topic of dating in general, but more importantly in the black community. We share how we are going to dive into different topics like blind dating, virtual dating, considering age while dating, and many more types of dating that we as a people aren't generally that comfortable with. Tap in and join the conversation. Please be sure to comment, share, and subscribe to our podcast on your preferred platform!
WOW! We really had our first virtual date on 4/8 with @kelseyalexus and @thrizz13 (both Instagram handles). The point of this virtual date was to mainly shed light on how we date in the black community. We habitually date with comfort; we don't necessarily try different forms of dating and we do believe this is why we as women sometimes end up with the same types of men. Same for men. Therefore, we created a dating experience where our two guests could get to know each other, while also shedding light on how easy and beneficial it is to try different forms of dating!
For episode three the girls got a little transparent as they dived deeper into the dating topic. Sam and Meme were both tasked with coming up with their top five rules when dating. Although they did bump heads quite a bit on each other's rules, both ladies genuinely shared rules that they believe could help on today's dating scene. Episode three was recorded via @sentiments2self Instagram live; therefore, please enjoy the live commentary as you tap into this conversation. Please be sure to subscribe, share, and comment on this MUCH NEEDED CONVERSATION! See you guys on IG LIVE April 1st.
This past Thursday, hair guru @daisydoesmyhair (Instagram,) joined Meme and me for what was definitely "A MUCH NEEDED CONVERSATION!" We talked levels amongst women and how it's really important to stay on your hustle as a woman. With such chill vibes, we were able to share opinions and really give women something to take away from, which is the goal each week! Tap into this conversation and be sure to SHARE!
This episode was one for the books! We were so grateful to have Youtuber/entrepreneur, @thekaylab_ join the conversation. We opened a conversation that all came from the thought of sororities and their purpose. We really wanted Kayla to share her thoughts and opinions on what she felt it meant for a woman to be confident. We also dissected the lines that can so easily be crossed when women confuse confidence with cockiness. Overall ladies, this conversation is fundamental and every woman and friend group should open a similar conversation after listening to this one!
HEYY everyone and Welcome back to sentiments2self #AMNC with Sam and Meme! This episode was titled "Why you so green?" on this episode we had a very special guest by the name of Courtney Kyles! This episode we listened to OUR AUDIENCE to come up with our topic and it got DEEP! When you think about "being green" that could bring a number of things that come to mind including jealousy, envy, or even weak minded!
WELCOME BACK episode one was what I like to call a Homecoming episode! Sam and I both brought HOT LOOKS and HOT TOPICS. In this episode we had our narrator and friend Preston Howard on to host with us and play a special little game of exposing how we feel on some of the upcoming conversations!
A very controversial topic came about this week on sentiments2self that was so important to us that we not only had to use this as our season finale episode but we also HAD to bring this one to THE SHOP! Every girl knows that you get the best talk, tea, and advice from the women that help make you beautiful at your favorite hair salon! We had three special guest join us to share their respected thoughts on how they feel about the subject. This episode was definitely A MUCH NEEDED CONVERSATION #AMNC & it got deep! We could all admit that we LOVE our black men to the core and we are proud of how far they have come since past years. We also acknowledge that in some to most cases black men and women struggle through similar if not the same pain from the past! However, black women always seem to love our black men through the good and the bad days and always through the highs and lows!~ Why don't y'all love us back? Why don't y'all publicly protect us and show the world what we mean and MATTER to you? We hit key sensitive topics such as pro-creation, protection, and as always ACCOUNTABILITY! We love and support everyone who returns that energy! hope you enjoy and see you next season !!!!!
This episode was all about the recent news in the media from Porsha Williams. We were so happy for have had @pellethepimpm(Instagram name) join the conversation and give her perspective on this brewing hot tea!
Last week's episode was all about the difference in short terms relationships, situation ships, and long terms relationships. More importantly we discussed the woman's role in each of those scenarios. Thank you to our special guest, Sha Palmer, owner of Pop Stylez Boutique, for joining the conversation. Your perspectives and opinions were valued and we so appreciate you for adding to this community! Check out this convo and be sure to share and comment your thoughts!
This episode was all about women that partake in activities during their relationship that screams they are begging for the ring. Tap into this much needed convo to see if you are tripping for the ring, girl! Be sure to share and comment your thoughts!
Last week, we talked about a woman's relationship with other women. We wanted to extend the conversation by discussing women's relationships with self. How you see yourself and speak about yourself is a reflection of your reality and we wanted to make sure we gave our listeners a conversation that spoke on something as real as this. Check out the conversation and be sure to join every Friday by tapping into our live conversations via Instagram @ 8PM EST. New episode on ALL PODCASTING platforms, every Monday.
WE'RE BACK! After season III ended, we took about a month to recharge and get our thoughts together about the new season! We are so excited to be back this season with a theme entitled "Sentiments in the City." With both Sameerah and I moving to Georgia in the last five years, we thought it would only be right reflect on our experiences here, by starting conversations with different women and men in the city of Atlanta. Some of these conversations will be personal and with people we know, but the goal is to get to introduce the city of Atlanta to Sentiments 2 Self! Check out the conversation and be sure to join every Friday by tapping into our live conversations via Instagram @ 8PM EST. New episode on ALL PODCASTING platforms, every Monday.
After missing a conversation last week, we decided to approach this week a bit differently by not choosing a particular topic, but instead, we decided to ask each other a series of questions related to all things women, relationships, and day-to-day life. We had a really great time discussing each question over our "Tangy Teila" signature drink, while we engaging with our live audience via Instagram. Check out the conversation and be sure to join every Friday by tapping into our live conversations via Instagram @ 8PM EST. New episode on ALL PODCASTING platforms, every Monday.
This week's conversation was much needed for friends, family, and even intimate relationships. We explored the topic of "subliminal hating," slick comments, and overall underlying shade from people that are supposedly close to you. From there, we posed the question, "Is it helpful or hating?" Sometimes people close to you say "little things" that can rub you the wrong way, but more than likely when it's addressed, it's said to be advice or help, but in all actuality it was SIMPLY HATING! Ashara , also known as @sharnecole via Instagram joined the conversation to share her perspective, which was an amazing addition to the episode, because she is a woman that knows her worth and does not settle for less. Therefore, when speaking on this topic, she was sure to keep it real and entertaining. Be sure to share this episode and let us know what you think!
What a conversation.....If you listen to our podcast then you know it gets real, but this one got really real. So real that Sameerah and I had a disagreement and a weekend long conversation post the actual conversation lol. I say that to say, sometimes you don't agree with your people, but figuring out your differences is essential to growth and understanding. However, we brought two female rap artists, T.B. Tiarra and Billie G from our home town, Mobile, AL to the conversation. Both of these ladies spoke their truth and gave very honest opinions on how they feel women should move after heart break. So, ARE YOU GETTING ON TWO KNEES WITH CIARA'S PRAYER OR MOVING THE HELL ON WITH LORI'S FINESSE? Check out this convo. Be sure to share, comment, and repost!
A Much Needed Conversation is committed to allowing our guests and audience the opportunity to give their complete opinions on the different topics that we do bring to each convo. Therefore, it was only right that we brought Carlos back to the conversation to express his opinions on the difference between women being a hoes and just having fun. We expanded the topic and talked more about telling the truth and being completely transparent about the things that you are doing!
This conversation was all about money and ambition. We have the utmost respect for women getting to a bag and we wanted to have a conversation where we could really talk about the difference between that and simply chasing clout or something that looks like a "bag." Not everyone is going through every phase to get to the top, so if you are, you are doing it the correct way! We will see all you at the top, but in the meantime, be sure to comment, share, and subscribe!
This conversation was all about our real take on how to react when life hits! We're bringing all of our darkest moments to light in a positive way. No-one is perfect and a bad situation is something we have all experienced, whether with a man, a friend, or family. If it took you out of character, listen to this conversation! This was our moment of transparency; we truly hope that it helps anyone going through some shxt right now! Be sure to comment, share, and subscribe!
What's the definition of a player? Can you fall in love with a player? Can a player really love and commit? We finally had A Much Needed Conversation about the word "player" or "playa." This conversation is not your typical player talk. We dive a bit deeper into the meaning and technically come up with our own definition. Check out this conversation-be sure to comment, subscribe, and SHARE!
This was a conversation that we will always vividly remember. We wanted to show our audience who we really are, so we brought two other sister duos to the conversation. We wanted to open up a conversation about the dynamic relationship between little and big sisters. We talked about investing with sisters vs our men; we talked about having our sister's back right or wrong and so much more. This conversation truly gives insight into our BOMB sister relationship.
This episode we managed to have a real girl talk. We finally took a dive in the deep end and talked SEX with Carla Cannon, creator of Creative Junkie. If you don't know Carla, you will after this episode. We couldn't think of a better woman to speak on sexual confidence, because Carla whole heartedly embodies confidence not only sexually, but outside room as well. She shared some of her infamous "Story Time" escapades with us and I promise you will leave this conversation motivated to do what needs to be done in the bedroom! Be sure to COMMENT, SHARE, AND SUBSCRIBE! Catch us on IG LIVE (@sentiments2self) every Friday 8 PM EST for live episode recordings!
This conversation was all about educating ourselves more on same sex relationships, more importantly lesbian relationships. We were excited to bring one of our home town favorites, Weenie, to the conversation. As a gay woman, Weenie exudes confidence on a different level and we knew that the conversation needed someone as real and raw as her. Weenie educated us on all things lesbian and I can say that we left the conversation knowing a lot. Take the time to learn more about the people you live in this world with! Thank you Weenie and Lay!
This was a true "fun girl" episode. After sitting in a hair salon the day before and hearing all the women speak on the infamous "Birkin Bag," we thought it was only right to shed a little light on this topic. We discuss fashion trends and how those trends can be detrimental to younger women, who believe that they must have certain things to be a "bad bxtch." Check out the blooper convo and let us know what you think!
This episode was all about the difference between doing hoe shxt and simply having fun. We brought our first male into season two for the infamous male perspective and that is exactly what Carlos Jones brought to the table. More than often, women find themselves being judged for having fun or honestly, just doing the same thing as men, but where do we draw the line? When does the fun turn into flat out hoe shxt? Is there a such thing as even being a hoe? Find out what Carlos' viewpoint was by checking out the conversation. Again, all of our conversations are raw and real, which is why we are enjoying bringing guest to our Instagram for LIVE recordings. Please be sure to share, comment, and subscribe.
This episode was recorded via Instagram live, October 2, 2020. Meme and Samaiyah discuss their personal experiences with "Daddy Issues," and offer advice and encouragement, as they navigate through a very personal conversation. This was not a bashing session, but more a growth session. Both ladies were able to reflect and show listeners how they are moving forward and taking on the issues that they possess or may have possessed with their fathers. Please be sure to share this conversation. There are so many women out there that need this conversation! Our community needs to continue speaking on this topic, because this conversation was not only needed for women, but for men, as well.
This week Meme and I brought Ms. Kalibaby to the Conversation. If you don't know Ms. Kalibaby now, you definitely will before the end of this conversation. We talk about making money during a pandemic and some of her goals when it comes to what she is currently doing. This conversation was not meant to be cute and sweet. It was held because it is time to get comfortable with daily life things that we as women experience or simply want advice on, like sex, threesomes, and just how to become more comfortable in your skin. We definitely pull back a few layers on our own experiences and things we want to try. Leave your opinions at home. It's time you open up your mind to simply respecting the hustle of every woman, whether you agree with it or not. Such a fun conversation that it's good to have every now and then with the girls!
Before you assume, ASK! Far too often do we assume certain things about the next woman, versus simply getting to know that woman or asking. Therefore, Meme and I brought Alize Ringold to the conversation to discuss assumptions she has dealt with and how she has navigated through those situations, while creating multiple streams of income. Not only is Alize a recent graduate of Tuskegee University, but she has also managed to start and operate a women's clothing boutique coined Meilleur Ami, with her best friend. However, it doesn't stop here...join the conversation now to gain insight on how this independent woman is creating different streams of incoming and helping other women along the way, while also remaining positive and motivated in a world full of opinions and assumptions!
Being that The Career Maven was created to help women find their voice within their career, I thought it would be amazing to speak with Adrianna about women who find themselves spreading themselves too thin. I call this the "Multifaceted Woman;" the woman that has a million great ideas, but can't execute on even one of those ideas. Sometimes we as women have ideas and we never get one accomplished because we don't commit. This midweek spill with Adrianna is meant to help you think through being multifaceted, by providing tips and valuable experience on how she has managed her corporate position, while also growing a brand.
Welcome back to Sentiments 2 Self's podcast, A Much Needed Conversation. This season please join me in welcoming Sameerah Rice, who prefers to be called “Meme,” as the new co-host. She is a recent HBCU college grad, From Alabama A&M, but age means nothing when it comes to this girl's wisdom. This episode is all about laying out our true intentions when it comes to women and our podcasting journey. Get to know the real us and why we do this, as you listen to this episode. We actually have our first debate lol, so excuse the explicit language. Understand that although we are sisters, we do not, I REPEAT, Do not agree on everything. She was brought on to this podcast to introduce a new perspective and also give more insight into who I am as a woman that is eager to make a lasting mark in the podcasting industry! Please share this episode and all episodes to follow this season! Thank You in Advance! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

I think working out, drinking water, staying active, and living a healthier lifestyle sounds and looks good, but it's not really what people want to do. I am so over the cute pics in workout clothes with zero sweat being displayed. I find it crazy how society promotes these really nice and curvy bodies, but propose no real “how to.” Whether you have a nice body by working out, hitting the table, or doing nothing, I think it's important to talk about how we take care of it. Now-a-days, the things that make you a bad bxtch are just crazy. I want to talk about how important it is for the woman to take care of her body. We carry and nourish the children, prepare the meals for the family, and ultimately, we are the ones looking out for the family health wise. How can women take better care of their bodies? My friend, Mo Bey, joins this conversation and really drops knowledge. Not only is Mo living a healthier lifestyle, but she owns two businesses, Empress Skin and Herb Muva, and both promote wellness. Mo is like the older sister I never had and I truly appreciate the advice and support that she selflessly gives anytime I am in her presence! This conversation was just another example of how you have to find women around that are like-minded and trying to better themselves, because they can help you along the way!
Chelsea Nizana joined me for a much needed topic this week. We discussed the woman being multifaceted and how society has a hard time accepting that. I have found that it is not as easy for a woman to expand her portfolio in the way in which a man can. It's a fact that men don't have to deal with the pressures of society, as far as having a family and a career. I see a lot of the times how women with children and single mothers sometimes have to put their goals on hold and sacrifice in order to take care of family. I wanted to talk to Chelsea about this, because she is a woman that also faces challenges while being in America on a VISA, but it doesn't stop her grind. As a woman, she is doing the damn thing and working to have it ALL. Growing up with a single mother, I saw the sacrifices; I saw how it wasn't always fair for her, which is why I work so hard to manifest all of my goals. Chelsea not only drops gems, but she shows a level of transparency that gives you the ultimate form of respect for not only her, but for her business and all of her future endeavours. Women can and will have it all, as LONG AS YOU WORK FOR IT! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
For years, all I've heard is that yoga and meditation are the keys to unlocking a complete shift in mindset, of course for the good. Not to say I doubted it, I simply felt like it wasn't for me. I didn't feel like sitting in the same position for 15-45 minutes at a time would contribute anything to my ultimate goal, which is getting money and acquiring success. My thought process was that I needed to be actively putting in work, PERIOD! However, you can't work properly, if you can't think effectively. Meditation really sorts my thoughts and helps THE vision become more clear. When I actually gave meditation a real chance with Maria Hampton during our Live conversation via instagram, I realized I needed to possess more focus in my life. Although I can vividly see the life I want for myself, I am always all over the place because I think I can successfully do seven things at once. Throughout this journey, I intend to focus on organizing my goals and my thought process. Meditation has helped me realize I need to work on just that. Do what you have to do to grow. Try something new; you never know how it could change your life. Give this meditation with Maria and me a try, and let me know how you feel after. This is a journey and it's only the beginning; I promise we are going to the top together! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
For this week's conversation, Chanel Douglas of The Coco's Jewelry Collection joined, and we had a very uplifting and informative IG Live. The plan was to go live via Instagram and Facebook, and although I didn't make it to Facebook, the conversation was greater than I could have ever imagined. Chanel and I literally met through social media and automatically connected. Chanel and close friend Amber came to Atlanta one weekend and we had the chance to brunch and talk. After that weekend, I would say we have been tight since. She checks on me; we motivate each other, and more importantly, we found a way to bring our talents together with purposes of collaborating. I wanted to show women listening or watching the live that you can be just as beautiful and just as powerful in the presence of a woman who is the exact same, there is no competition. There is no reason to compete with others, we have to compete with old versions of ourselves every day! Instead, it's “collaboration ova competition,” every single time, no matter what. Check out the convo and be sure to share with another woman who could take something valuable away! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
This week's episode was all about diving into why I went on Steve Harvey's new Facebook Watch Series, asking a question, during the infamous “Hey Steve” segment, about marriage. During my time on set, Mr. Harvey interviewed Quality Control executives Pee Thomas and Coach K. These serial entrepreneurs are linked to music moguls such as The Migos, Lil Yatchy, The City Girls, and their company now manages Cardi B. I say this to say, I was surrounded by excellence and fully embraced this opportunity to learn as much as I could. I recorded this episode via my Instagram Live, due to the CO VID-19 virus, and honestly, this was a conversation much overdue. You will hear a little background music, so bare with me lol. Courtney Kyles, mother, wife, and entrepreneur, joined me for this conversation, and she definitely drops gems that every woman can benefit from. Her transparency and confidence radiated through the conversation and I am more than positive that YOU will be able to take something away from her perspective, even if marriage is not for you. Whether you believe in marriage or not, I simply want anyone listening to this episode to define your own version of marriage, while making sure you are happy, no matter what! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Episode 7 was done a lot differently than other episodes. For this episode, I decided to go LIVE via my Instagram, because with the Coronavirus crisis, it's been hard to have in-person conversations. Therefore, I decided to not only have one conversation, but I had a community conversation with women that probably have never even listened to my podcast, A Much Needed Conversation. This was an amazing experience for the podcast, because it gave me the ability to not only test a method of engagement, but it gave me the opportunity to spread the platform to people who aren't really familiar with podcasts. Although this was a community conversation, my sister and I led the convo by digging deeper into the question, “Is It Really the PXSSY with the Power?” My sister, Sameerah Rice, is way beyond her time. She strikes me as an older woman more than often, simply because of her mindset. She is the smartest woman I know when it comes to being a confident woman. Sameerah is my diary, because her actions and her talk align. Not only does she say what she would and would not do, but she actually backs it up. Most women aren't like this. They have the big talk, but are they really walking in that talk? NO. This conversation was all about embracing femininity and discussing other ways to use “PXSSY POWER,” in a positive way. Check out the conversation and let me know your thoughts! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Every month, I share a sentiment with you via the podcast, where I am not having a conversation with anyone, but talking straight to you! For the month of April, I felt it was only right that the sentiment have everything to do with YOU! After planning the relationship series, I realized that I had overlooked this one particular relationship in my life, and it dawned on me that this was one of the most important relationships in not only my life, but in everyone's life! The purpose of this series is to shed light on how we as women can be better women in the relationships that we do possess; therefore, before any other relationship is made, creating a solid foundation for the relationship discussed in today's podcast should be our number one priority. Enjoy! XO, Samaiyah --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
The second episode for the Relationship Series is now live! Alexis Nord joins me for a conversation as we discuss the woman and her relationship with female friends. We didn't want to make this a conversation about our meaning of friendship or put a heavy opinion on anything, because friendships mean different things to different people. Therefore, Alexis and I discussed adversities amongst friendships and how we can get through those without necessarily falling out with our friends. I am so grateful for Alexis sharing her sentiment, because not only did she share experiences, but she also gave advice about being open to new friends in this stage of her life. The conversation wouldn't have been right without a few giggles and laughs, which really helped ease a heavy topic of discussion. Check it out and let this be the start of a conversation that we as women expand on in the next few days. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
This conversation kicked off “The Relationship Series," and I truly wanted this conversation to be light, because I believe that people always add stress and added expectations on relationships, which make them heavy conversations. Therefore, I started with the topic of dating. Although this can be a heavy topic, essentially, I see it as a learning process, which means you receive valuable things from the experiences, which shouldn't make the conversations as heavy. Chelsie is a friend of mine that is very open to talking about her learning experiences and encounters, because she is free and stands in her truth at all times. Something I oh so love about her! Therefore, when it came to the topic of dating, it was a no brainer that she be a part of this conversation. Chelsie and I dove right in and discussed different levels of dating, her experiences with dating, some of her red flags in dating, and she closed with giving her sentiments on how and why she believes young, black females should be dating in 2020. One thing that I want to make the center of this conversation is Defining the Grey Area in Dating: Set the tone for what you expect, by standing for what you believe in from the start and use dating as a learning tool for finding love in a healthy and purposeful way. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Normally I am having conversations with others in order to bring light to issues and situations that our community as a whole should be talking about, for the purposes of unity and growth. However, sometimes it's just as important to sit back and reflect on your own actions and situations; therefore, you are able to identify areas where growth or nurturing of some sort is needed. That very thought has brought me to the purpose of my March sentiments to you: “Life is all about Turning L's into Lessons, and winning when it's all said and done!” This past Saturday, March 14, 2020, I had planned to host my first live podcast for Sentiments 2 Self:A Much Needed Conversation. The event was designed around my experience at Tyler Perry Studios for Steve Harvey's new Facebook Watch series. Although the event did not occur on March 14th, what I did learn along the way is that this is only the beginning and the lessons will only bring elevation --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
The conversation between Quantasia Hector and I was all about standing for something as a woman in this new century. I even brought in one of my good male friends, Preston Howard, to give his perspective as a man on standing for something. As women, it's ESSENTIAL to have moral and values and to stand for something at the end of the day. No longer is it cool to go with the flow. As women, we create the flow. You have to show people how to treat you, and you do that by standing firm on what you believe and never folding on your word. I hope what you get from this episode is the realization of how important it is to be you and believe what you truly believe in your heart, no matter who is around or what the crowd is doing! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
This first episode is all about how lack of confidence effects our relationships.
