The fastest way to spot a confidence dip is not in what you say, it's in what you do next: the overexplaining, the defensiveness, the mental replay of a one-minute interaction that suddenly feels like a life review. If that sounds familiar, you're going to feel seen here.We unpack the sneaky signs your self-confidence is slipping and why it often happens during big life transitions. I share what's been lighting up my own “seeds of doubt” lately, from parenting choices and toddler tantrums to the weird emotions around starting daycare, balancing work and family, and even stepping into an updated personal style and rebrand. When we're not fully grounded in our decisions, other people's opinions can shake us fast, even when they mean well.We also talk about the reality that everyone has opinions, and how the Let Them perspective can help you stop making those opinions your responsibility. The goal is not to become louder or tougher. It's to build self-trust, get clear on the season you're in, and practice responding in a way that keeps your peace. Think of it as watering confidence instead of watering doubt. If you're ready for a mindset reset that's practical and honest, press play. Message me your 'Takeaways'.How to build confidence that actually lasts: stop waiting for it and start building conviction instead. For years I thought confidence was the starting line. That some people just had it and I didn't. I was confident running 800m races, but everywhere else I carried myself like someone waiting for permission. The breakthrough: I wasn't lacking confidence. I was lacking conviction. In this video I break down why confidence is a feedback loop you can't shortcut, how conviction builds the foundation confidence needs, and the exact documentation method I used to go from mumbling on camera to keynote speaking. This applies to every area of life performance: your body, mind, purpose, and relationships. The segment discusses Tua Tagovailoa's reaction after being benched, noting that he acted professionally with the media despite a season full of questionable press conference comments. Joe and Dave explore whether Tua has lost confidence in himself, if Mike McDaniel has lost confidence in him, and how the game plan has reflected that. They also touch on WR Jaylen Waddle's apparent frustration and highlight broader organizational issues, including the need for better scouting from top to bottom and a history of missed draft picks.

In this episode I talk about something I've seen a lot lately. People tell me they want to move forward. They want to start the thing, launch the idea, reach out to the person, publish the content, say yes to the opportunity. But they're stuck because the unknowns feel too big and the confidence simply isn't there. The problem is that confidence doesn't show up at the beginning. Confidence is the reward for taking action. It only comes after you've stepped into something new, realized your worst fears didn't come true, and built enough real experience to trust yourself in that environment. Even after all these years, I still feel that tension when I'm introduced to someone new. Especially when their online presence is polished, impressive, and perfectly curated. My old patterns pop up. Who am I to talk with this person? Will I bring value? Will I land with their audience? There are three important words that I share in this episode: Courage, Confidence, and Curiosity. Courage. The willingness to say yes even when the outcome is unknown. If I am courageous enough to take the step, then something interesting happens. My worst fears usually don't come true. I learn something. I grow. And over time, with enough reps, I develop confidence. But the confidence never comes first. Recently, though, I've added a third ingredient. And it has been the biggest shift of all. Curiosity. Curiosity dissolves fear. It lets me walk into a new room without the burden of needing anything to happen. Instead of pressure, I enter with wonder. Why was this introduction made? What could come from this connection? What can I learn from this person? How might I serve? Is there resonance here? And if not, what clarity does that give me? Curiosity brings me back to presence. It clears the anxiety that shows up the day before a call, or the hour before it starts, or the five minutes before we go live. Curiosity lets me move forward without being attached to any particular outcome. I don't have to prove myself. I don't have to impress. I simply get to explore what is possible. In this episode I break down how these three ingredients work together. Courage gets you moving. Curiosity keeps you grounded. Confidence grows from experience and repetition. If you have an area in your life where you've been waiting for confidence before you take action, my hope is that this conversation frees you from that waiting. You won't feel confident before you begin. You'll feel confident because you began. I'd love to hear what this brings up for you. You can email me at Cliff@CliffRavenscraft.com. In this friendly episode of Homeopathy 247, Mary chats with homeopath Morris Tuffery about the powerful and essential remedy, Staphysagria. Morris, joining all the way from New Zealand, analyzes how this remedy addresses deep-seated issues stemming from suppressed anger and emotional pain, often acting as a profound starting point for healing. Homeopathy's Strong Roots in New Zealand Morris begins by discussing the practice of homoeopathy in New Zealand. While its origins were grassroots—brought over by English settlers in the 1900s—it has gained professional status thanks to mentors like Bruce Barwell. It is now well-regulated under the New Zealand Homeopathic Council, with approximately 80 registered homeopaths adhering to mandatory professional development. Morris stresses that a major part of his work involves public education to increase awareness and encourage the use of homeopathy for home first aid. Understanding the "Staphysagria" Type: Anger Swallowed The core theme of Staphysagria is the profound effect of anger and humiliation that cannot be expressed. Suppressed Emotion: The remedy is indicated when a person has been subjected to abuse (sexual, physical, or emotional), bullying, or intense humiliation (like being unjustly fired). Because the person is unable to retaliate or stand up for themselves in the moment, they "swallow the anger." Volcano Under the Tablecloth: This type is famously described as a "volcano under a Laura Ashley tablecloth." They are often seen as the nicest people or "ultimate caregivers" who put others' needs first, but internally, they are seething with suppressed rage. A small provocation can sometimes cause a sudden, passionate burst of anger. Lack of Confidence: The long-term suppression of anger leads to feelings of unworthiness and a lack of confidence, leaving them vulnerable to victimization. A Remedy for Trauma and Physical Intrusion Staphysagria is also highly valuable for physical ailments that relate to the body feeling violated or irritated: Wounds and Surgery: It is a key remedy for healing lacerated and stretched tissue. This makes it ideal for recovering from surgery (which can feel like an intrusion), dental work (especially a strained or dislocated jaw), and a lacerated perineum after childbirth. Inflammation and Irritation: It is a primary remedy for recurrent styes and chalazions (inflamed eyelid nodules) and for colic in children who are fractious and angrily throw things. UTIs: Staphysagria is a major remedy for recurrent Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs), particularly those related to the first experience of sexual intimacy (historically "Honeymoon cystitis"). Morris shares a powerful case where the remedy brought about an immediate return of joy and self-worth to a patient suffering from recurrent UTIs and low self-image following a rape. Understanding LM Potencies (Gradual Healing) Morris and Mary discuss the difference between various homeopathic potencies. For the public, it's important to know that professional homeopaths use methods beyond simple first aid prescribing: LM Potencies: These were the last potencies developed by Hahnemann. They are preferred for long-term chronic conditions because they produce a gradual and permanent improvement without the strong aggravations (healing crises) sometimes seen with high C-potencies. Chronic vs. Acute: While first aid often uses 30C or 200C potencies for quick action, complex, long-standing, or chronic conditions (like the effects of past abuse or chronic fatigue) benefit greatly from the sustained, gentle action of the LM scale. Confidence is a cornerstone of growth, whether in your personal or professional life. It is keeping you from growing.” [6:05] “Greater awareness equals greater choice, and it is really important to get to the bottom of what you need to be aware of now.” [17:38] “Kind, loving, and generous people are usually the same way to themselves. They're accepting and they're forgiving of themselves.” [18:08] “What consistently repeats is not random. In this heartfelt episode, Christine coaches Marie, who is navigating transitions in both her career and personal life. As Marie opens up about feelings of inadequacy and fear stemming from her childhood, Christine helps her uncover the deeper roots of her lack of confidence and offers powerful tools for healing. Together, they explore how childhood wounds manifest in adult relationships and career dynamics, and how embracing vulnerability can lead to greater self-worth and confidence. If you've ever felt held back by old patterns or struggled with confidence in relationships or at work, this episode will provide clarity, hope, and actionable insights for your journey. Consider/Ask Yourself: Do you struggle with speaking up for yourself or setting boundaries at work or in relationships? Are there moments from your childhood that might still be influencing your confidence today? Do you find that a lack of confidence in one area of your life impacts other areas? Are you ready to uncover and heal old wounds to step into your full potential? Key Insights and A-HA's: Childhood wounds, like parental separation or taking on a caregiver role too early, can create patterns of self-silencing and people-pleasing. A lack of confidence often stems from not being allowed to express emotions or needs as a child. Healing involves doing for yourself now what you couldn't do as a child, such as using your voice and setting boundaries. Confidence grows through radical self-acceptance and addressing unmet needs with compassion and clarity. How to Get Over It & On With It: Reflect on how past wounds are showing up in your current relationships and career. Allow yourself to express repressed emotions, like anger, in healthy, somatic ways. Practice asserting your needs and opinions in situations where you typically remain silent. Use moments of discomfort as opportunities to break free from old patterns and embrace growth. Sponsor: This episode is brought to you by AquaTru, the revolutionary water purification system that ensures your drinking water is clean, safe, and free of harmful contaminants. I've found that this is very true throughout my career. There are lots of reasons to be doubtful, reasons that, if you let them, will stop your creative pursuits before you get underway. It starts with the dive into photography itself. You may feel like you are not artistic enough to become an artist or the very thought of learning all of the things that you will one day need to know might seem overwhelming. Then, as you progress, it can be challenging to work up the courage to display your images, to ask for constructive criticism. Photos might languish in a folder on your computer simply because you don't have the confidence to do much else with them... Hello to you listening in Cordoba, Spain!Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Wednesdays on Whidbey and your host, Diane Wyzga. Is my Origin Story work positioned as a Vitamin or an Advil? "Vitamins are nice to have but not urgent. Whereas if you're in pain you want an Advil - and fast!" These wise words came from my dear friend and colleague, Anke Herrmann (Strategic Partner, Author, Podcast Host & Dog Lover). To answer that question I need a little sounding board help because, as Anke says, “How do you expect to read the label when you're sitting inside the jar?”This much I know: each of us needs a sounding board. Perhaps I can be that for you. This is what else I know about how I can help:✓ Stories have shaped you and brought you to this point but you might need help to find the words you didn't know you had.✓ You came into the world with a voice. Your voice is your power. Your story is an expression of your power; but you might lack the awareness or confidence to express yourself or tell your story. ✓ Your Who + Your Why + Your How - in that order - sets you above the noise in the marketplace; but how do you get there? ✓ Much contemporary storytelling focuses on content at the expense of context; if you're telling just the facts you're missing the emotional story.✓ Stories must engage us with imagination, sensory images, and memories to be meaningful; I can teach you to teach yourself to be that storyteller. Question: What stories do you, your clients and audience need right now to ease pain, heal, and transform?CTA: It's time for you to take those steps to relieve the pain of confusion, anxiety, uncertainty, and lack of confidence about using your voice to say what you mean and mean what you say in any personal or professional setting, to nail that interview, clarify your ideas, and influence your listeners while transforming the lives of those you serve. In this breakout session from TGC23, Dan Doriani addresses the real concern of churches devastated by bullying, immorality, and narcissism at the hands of pastors. But he also addresses the challenges facing pastors as they endure disapproval, opposition, foot-dragging, sabotage, and whisper campaigns. He challenges pastors to cultivate humility, seek God's wisdom and mercy, and embrace servanthood while fostering appropriate confidence and resilience in their calling to pastoral ministry.
