Time for another Rest Stop. And we're back in Hohenwald! What are the chances? This rest stop is a little different than previous episodes. In this rest stop, I'm sharing (for the first time publicly) about my struggles recovering from a major spinal fusion, why I believe it doesn't take a professional dancer to make it in this industry, and why pole dance is so important to me. We talk about how she got started in the pole industry, moving from a home studio to a commercial space, creating You Know You're a Poler When..., and working with different brands. Jax has been dancing for 13 years. She fell in love with pole dancing while working in a club. She mentions working at the club and then going home to practice new moves. Other dancers took notice and began asking Jax for lessons. She started her space as a home studio but was given the push she needed to move into a commercial space. The Pole Academy has been open in Greenville, South Carolina and has been actively thriving for 5 years!
