Does God sit up in heaven with a plan that is often terrifying and painful to us, while He remains emotionally unaffected by the things that happen to us on earth?Or does He feel deeply for his children who live in a world that is largely NOT the way He intended, even though He is working all things together for our good?Jesus is what God has to say. And what He says is, "I love you, I love you, I love you!"---Additionally - congratulations M'Niyah, on your baptism!

Theresa moved into her new smarthome with healthy skepticism. Here was a house with everything she could ever need or want—and more—for an affordable price on her nail stylist's salary. To her, the artificial intelligence inside was little more than a shiny gimmick, but one she'd gladly deal with to give her daughter Niyah a better life. There had to be a catch. Theresa's misgivings begin to fade with the smarthome's increasingly thoughtful gestures. But is their new home getting to know Niyah a little too well? Here is Jendayi Brooks-Flemister reading her story “Welcome Home.”
Bible Reading: 1 Peter 3:8-12"Taelyn is so mean!" Niyah said as she came into the kitchen. "She's been rude to me all week!" A tear slipped down her cheek as she slumped into a chair."I'm sorry," said Mom. "What's going on? Taelyn's been a good friend for a long time.""I don't know, but I'm getting sick of her snapping at me," said Niyah. "If she doesn't stop it, I'm going to--" The loud yipping of a dog sent Niyah and her mom running to the window. "It's Baxter!" Niyah exclaimed. "It looks like his paw is caught between the boards of the deck!" They ran out the back door."I knew we should have fixed the gap between those boards," Mom said as she knelt beside the whimpering dog. As she reached out to touch him, Baxter snapped at her hand. "It's okay, Baxter," she said softly. Once more she reached for him, and again Baxter snapped. After several attempts, Mom was able to pick up the little dog, and they took him to the vet. When they got home, Dad was home too. "I'm so glad Baxter's okay," Niyah told her dad when she explained what had happened. "He has a sprain, but the vet said he'll be fine. But he's still kind of snappy.""That's because he's still hurting," Dad told her. "He'll need some extra love and care for a little while." Niyah nodded. "Don't worry. I'll take care of him!""Good," said Dad. "By the way, I heard some sad news today. Taelyn's mom works in our office, you know, and she told me she's filing for a divorce. I thought you should know so you can pray for Taelyn and her family. She may need some extra love and care too.""Oh no!" Niyah took a deep breath. "I didn't know that.""Sounds like Taelyn is hurting, just like Baxter," said Mom. "No wonder she's been snapping a lot lately." Mom put an arm around Niyah. "It sounds like she needs someone to be there for her--someone who can remind her that Jesus loves her and will help her through this, even when she doesn't act so nice." Niyah nodded. "I'll take care of Taelyn too," she said. "Even if she snaps at me!" -Barbara J. WestbergHow About You?Is there someone who's been snapping at you? Have you thought about why they might be acting that way? It's possible that person is hurting. They may be facing problems they don't feel they can share with anyone. Such a person needs to know that Jesus cares about them and wants to help. So don't snap back. Instead, try to ease the pain with your love, kindness, patience, and prayers.Today's Key Verse:Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called. (NIV) (1 Peter 3:9)Today's Key Thought:Be thoughtful of others

I had the pleasure of speaking with Anna Nyakana recently. She is so incredibly talented. She is an Award-Winning and Bestselling Author, Motivational Speaker, and Business Owner of Niyah Zuri Books and Niyah Zuri Studios. Anna was born in Berlin, Germany in 1986 to a Ugandan father and German-Moldavian mother. Anna is the author of the Niyah Zuri series, and has released her second book. Niyah Zuri and The Pharaoh's Throne follows self-assured heroine Niyah Zuri as she and her best friends, Miguel and Hugo Gonzales, travel through time with the use of a mystical map. Readers are taken on an adventure with every turn of the page as the trio forge their friendship through exploration. The series begins its epic tale when Niyah and the Gonzales twins discover an enchanted map in their clubhouse & are accidentally teleported to the Triassic period. After evading carnivorous dinosaurs, the time jumping continues as they're sent back to Ancient Egypt in order to help a young Prince Tut overcome his fear of rule. The group race against time to complete their mission, returning to their time period in haste as the Pharaoh's sudden death has the royal guards suspicious of Tut's foreign visitors. And the story goes on !!! Anna is an inspirational speaker and – well, inspirational. Her latest venture is concerns hair, letting your natural hair go – natural and being yourself. She breaks through the stereo type of everyone fitting in one mold. I know you will love listening to this interview with her. She's a fun person. In today's episode, our guest is Anna Nyakana, an Award-Winning and Bestselling Author, Motivational Speaker, and Business Owner of NiyahZuri Books NiyahZuri Studios. She grew up in Connecticut and pursued writing and musical skills, but she ventured more beneficial for people's world. She started with children's books and is impacting not just kids but also adults. [8:23] Why should we listen to you? I'm a radical. I'm here to tell you that everything you may have thought is probably not true. The way that the world is formed against you. But I'm here to tell you that everything is working in your favor. So you're going to want to listen. [5:36]How did you get to the point that you are impacting lives? Understanding that I had a purpose and a destiny, and I was the only one who was standing in my way. Realizing that the only thing standing in between me reaching my fullest self was myself, [13:28] Aww Shift Bad Moments In the neighborhood where I grew up, somebody told me that I only have three or four options in life: to become a young mother, sell drugs or join a gang, or end up in jail or dead. There weren't a lot of options in the neighborhood that I grew up in. We did not have any options to choose life. I got all the rejections from publishers and everyone when I wanted to create change and the impact that I wanted to impart. [16:58] Critical Moment I was on Sirius XM radio and the Amazing Karen Hunter Show. That was so profound for me at that point in my career because she seldom had authors on her show, let alone someone who's an independent author that showed me that the work that I was doing so far, not only just in my state but now it's jumping state, nationally. People were paying attention, and it was making an impact. [19:58] How do you infuse your work with adults? Making sure I'm constantly staying active, tapping into the tribe, giving daily doses of gems and fundamentals, and empowering. The Nizari movement is a daily dose of encouraging everyone to get out of their way, create that shift, be purposeful in their lives, and understand the value they are mattering in everything they're doing every day. [25:23] What Mountains are you climbing now in your life? I've been creating a whole new set of understandings. When you reach that personal summit, you can now take a moment to look outwardly and see how far you've climbed. You look down at the value below that you're in maybe some months, or some years ago, you can see also who's underneath. I'm reaching a peak right now, personally, and I know once I get that peak, it's not going to be the end. For me, it's just the beginning. [31:31] What promise did God make to the world when He created you? I'm here to save the youth. But first, I need to learn how to save myself and teach others to do the same. Key Quotes [9:28-9:32] "the only thing standing in between me reaching my fullest self was myself" [16:02- 16:03] "In a sea of no, I chose to give myself the Yes."
