Super excited to share my origin story with you. I talk about my High School years, how being bullied my fuelled my determination to succeed, and what happened when I moved to Australia. Success is not final. Failure is not fatal. What matters is the courage to continue. Hit me up on Twitter if you enjoyed the episode!
Never give up. Never stop trying. You’re closer than you think. If you need to get up at 5 am each day to improve your chances of success, you’re going to make sure that you get up at 5 am every single day. If you want to live a healthy lifestyle, you’ll find ways to incorporate a proper diet & exercise into your daily routine. If you need to work 12 hours per day to maintain healthy finances within your business, you’re going to find ways to make that happen. “Being a true badass in life has no weight or gender — just a 100% commitment to greatness” — Dwayne Johnson. If your ambitions are genuinely important to you, you’ll find a way. If not, you’ll find an excuse. Hit me up on Twitter with your thoughts on the episode.
The only thing preventing you from accomplishing your wildest dreams is merely a lack of motivation & action. It is an absence of obsession within your daily life. Obsession is feeling grateful that you can do what you love each day. Obsession is what drives you to work on your passion every single day for the rest of your life. Obsession is being prepared to do what 99% of people wont, so you can achieve what 99% of people can’t. Don’t get complacent. There’s a difference between interest and obsession. When you’re interested in something, you only do it when it’s convenient. When you’re obsessed with something, you accept no excuses; only results. The reason why so many people lack the motivation to accomplish their dream is that they are not obsessed with achieving it. No hack can make your dreams happen instantaneously. Ghosting has undoubtedly risen in popularity over the past few years due to the rate in which technology is progressing. Without a standard way of communicating (such as Whatsapp or Facebook messenger), it has become effortless to drop everything and vanish out of somebody’s life. Ultimately, ghosting has become a coping mechanism for society to avoid awkward & uncomfortable exchanges over the internet. According to multiple scientific studies, social rejection is known to activate the same neural pathways in the brain as physical pain. It’s the reason why we feel depressed and emotionally hurt when somebody ghosts us, or we face rejection within a social setting. Although there is no proven way to avoid being ghosted, being honest & open about your feelings within a situation can help to encourage the other party to make their opinions also known. You see, ghosting is directly associated with how uncomfortable people are willing to feel. If they don’t want to deal with the consequences of something they have done/said, they will try and ignore you to avoid any negative repercussions. They are mentally wired to believe that preventing uncomfortable situations is the most efficient way to maintain their happiness or reputation. In a similar fashion to the so-called “real world,” people desire authenticity within digital relationships. If we do not believe that the person we are talking to will directly benefit our future, it can become commonplace to ghost them instead of putting in a continual effort to maintain the relationship. In these instances, they cease communication to avoid negative conversation with the other person about how they honestly feel. As a general rule of thumb, it’s important to note that if someone ghosts you, it says a lot more about their personality than it does about you. They are merely trying to avoid levels of discomfort. A great strategy is being honest about your boundaries with the other person — regardless of the context. Be honest. Tell the other person how you feel. Communication will help them to move on with their life so that you can move on with yours. Tweet me your thoughts on this episode & let's connect!
My future self is the reason that I'm able to avoid procrastination. Podcast, take a moment and think how your future self would be if you failed to act today on any of your goals. Do I wanna work on days where I’m unmotivated? Often nope. But I do it because I know that I need to be able to pay rent and continue to pursue my passion. Do I see the fruits of my labour immediately? Often not. But I work hard so that I can have continual success throughout my career. My future self is now the incentive for waking up in the morning. Why would I want to deny my future of opportunity? Especially when those opportunities can be created today. As a species, we ultimately have two choices: Do uncomfortable things now to please and improve your future self Make future self uncomfortable and trust they’ll rise to the challenge I prefer the first one. You do not want to make your future self uncomfortable. Because your future self is just you… in a few days, weeks, or months. If you procrastinate, you’ll just give your future self a lot of challenges that will be difficult to deal with. Tweet me @travelguideanz to let me know your thoughts on the episode! Elon Musk uses first principles to break down each idea. For example, if you want to teach your kid to walk, you first have to teach them to sit still, crawl, and stand on two feet. There’s a series of steps to get to the final outcome. Things to remember: What would it mean to master the skill? Can I break it down in small sub-skills? What resources can I use to learn it? How can I track my progress? Once you break down the theory of how to achieve a certain outcome, you simply need to put everything into practise. If you keep pursuing the skill every single day, you’ll be able to get better with every single hour. Tweet me your thoughts of the episode on Twitter. Have an awesome day!
What's up podcast... What you're able to listen to is a mashup of my thoughts & ambitions over the next 5, 10, 50 years. I don’t want something to be easy. I never do. I need it to be possible. Every single day, I’m trying to figure out this game called life. I’m trying to understand behavior, attention, and how to deploy it in the best possible way. Every single day, I’m learning the algorithms of platforms, networking with influencers & CEOS, and putting out content surrounding my thoughts… my truth. Every single day, I’m becoming a better version of myself. I’m happy. That’s what matters. I have the intestinal fortitude to work every single day, 365. Because if I'm not, I’m suffocating. I need to be doing what I’m talented at. What makes me happy. I need to be focusing on all of my strengths to get closer to each of my goals every single day. Gary Vaynerchuk, Dwayne Johnson, Elon Musk & Richard Branson. They’re the four people who inspired me to start this dream — this vision. And I’m the person who’s going to make it all a reality. Shoutout to the kids in high school who said I’d never make it — shoutout to all the parents & teachers who laughed at me for having such big dreams. I achieved them then, and I’ll reach them now. I’m not just thinking about the next ten years. I’m thinking about life. 2019 is the best year ever. If you have a dream, a passion, an ambition, it’s achievable if you have the right mindset. And I’m going to help you accomplish whatever it is that you want to do. If you’re a part of my fanbase, my following, my community, I’m going to help you fix your mindset, have a more optimistic attitude, and try to enable you to become more self-aware. Together, we are going to crush any excuses that may arise. Together, we are going to develop a work ethic that will help you accomplish whatever you desire. Together, we will build an empire. Together, we will become legends. Tweet @travelguideanz to let me know what you thought of this episode!

Each evening, I say that I am grateful for being able to live my life feeling extremely fulfilled. The impact which those two words have is absolutely incredible. As a society, we have been conditioned to say “thank you” whenever somebody does something meaningful. It has become the accepted norm. But saying that you are grateful for somebody’s actions & kindness tends to leave a much stronger impact. Elon Musk is a visionary. With SpaceX, The Boring Company, and Tesla to name a few of the companies he's involved with, it's certainly fair to say that he's inspired a generation. Elon recently appeared on the Joe Rogan experience. After discussing the effects of Artificial Intelligence and Tunnels in Los Angeles, I decided it would be a good idea to study him. This is what I learnt.

Are you preparing for the eventual collapse of the economy? The US government shutdown has exemplified why people need disposable income in case of emergencies. The vast majority of people are living paycheck to paycheck. This is RAW audio in the streets of Bangkok, Thailand. During this episode, I talk about some strategies to prepare for a recession and the collapse of the economy. 2008 was horrific, and it's likely to be even worse this time around. After all, it's been extremely prosperous for 10 years... - Ensure that you have a financial cushion of at least 12 months salary. - Go to a low cost region and live there. Money goes further. - Identify parts of the world which aren’t suffering as much financially. Market your business there. What's up guys? During this short episode recorded in Bangkok, I speak about how being grateful can unlock a happy & prosperous life. - Start telling yourself what you love about yourself. - Focus less on winning the approval of others. Make yourself happy. - Distance yourself from those who bring you down. - Show gratitude for who you are and what you have right now. During this episode, Matt dives into how a strong work ethic is absolutely essential to success & why you should be relentless with your ambitions. Despite what some people seem to think, my life is not lazing around on a beach drinking coconut water whilst watching the world go by. I do not want that. I would much rather work on my passion every single day for the rest of my life. The defining factor of success is not where you are born. It is not how wealthy you are. Instead, It is how hard you are willing to work. How much you are willing to overcome whatever adversity you may face in order to fulfill your ambitions. That is my definition of greatness. Whether it’s The Boring Company, SpaceX, Tesla, Elon Musk is undeniably one of the biggest & brightest minds of our generation. With the aim to build a large colony on Mars over the next decade, his passion for putting the human species on another planet is something truly incredible. It’s no secret that we have a constantly increasing population on planet Earth. By the end of the century, it’s predicted that we will have over 10 billion people in the world. Therefore, natural resources are undoubtedly dwindling. Also, global catastrophes such as nuclear war or a volcano eruption can to cause a global extinction event almost instantaneously. By allowing the human species to become multi-planetary, it would enable the species to thrive and continue no matter what circumstances happen here on Earth. As we move towards a more complex, connected and developed society throughout the globe, it is very easy for humanity to potentially go extinct. Becoming a multi-planetary species is the only way to prevent that. In order for me to improve the podcast, feel free to leave an honest review on iTunes (or your favorite platform). Have you ever been on a business trip & found yourself watching hours of TV on the plane when you should be focusing on a new assignment? Or maybe you're currently traveling the world & are unable to focus on your ambitions due to the sheer beauty of the destinations in which you find yourself immersed within. Before you know it, the day is over & you go to bed feeling depressed due to a lack of accomplishments. This is what happens when you are unable to manage your time effectively whilst working remotely around the world. Due to the different timezone, the lack of a schedule, and an occasional lack of communication whilst traveling, it's easy to get caught up in the new location or to escape from reality with a bit of Netflix. We've all been there. So here's what's gonna happen: I'm gonna give you some practical advice, and hopefully you'll be able to execute on it in order to give you a better sense of time management whilst working remotely at an airport or on an airplane. You gotta do what you love every day. People ask me how I get motivated. The answer is doing what I love. It’s waking up knowing I can pursue my passion. I openly admit that I’m trying to be a recognizable figure in culture. And so that’s what I’m doing. But likewise, if you wanna be a music producer or a photographer, do that. Elon Musk talked about how you can’t change the world on a 40 hour work week. It’s true. And although he got a lot of criticism for it, I can agree. If you wanna make a giant impact in the world that will change culture, the way we live, or whatever your dream is, you should be putting in the work. Now, it may not be 100 hours sure. But you gotta figure out how much it will take to achieve whatever your ambitions are. So many people out here having the audacity to ask for a life of 1%. They want the financial freedom, the fancy cars, mansions, whatever. I get it. Good for you if that’s what you want. BUT. They don’t wanna put in the work. They want a 1% lifestyle on the work ethic of the 99% of the population. That’s fucked up. If you TRULY want it. If you genuinely want to achieve your dreams, it should be your passion, your obsession. Every possible moment that you can dedicate towards your dream, you should. That said, you need to figure out your work life balance. For me, my work is my life. And so I can dedicate more time to it. But I’m empathetic towards the fact that some people wanna watch Netflix or chill with family. I get it. Do you. I’m putting in the work. I have a strong work ethic. And I don’t pander to other people’s opinions of perfection. You do you. Find your idea of happiness and reverse engineer your actions around that. But don’t complain when you don’t achieve 437 million dollars on a 37 hour work week. All I ask is that you make your actions map your ambitions. Simple. The chances are that you’re aged 13-32. You may be living in Australia, Mexico, South Africa, Philippines, or any other incredible place on this planet. You may be going through school, college, or have a job which takes up the majority of your week. It’s tough. It’s difficult. But I get it. I really do. You tell yourself that’s the reason why you are unable to travel the world. You tell yourself that’s the reason from stopping you from achieving your dreams. You may see photos on Instagram of these amazing places, and you tell yourself that you want to go there. You want to travel the world. You want to explore the planet. To try new foods, visit new counties, and meet amazing new people. My intuition says that if you genuinely want to travel the world, you can. You can literally buy flights for the cost of a Starbucks coffee. You can literally stay in a hostel on the beach in Thailand for the price of a sandwich. It’s cheap. It’s actually affordable to travel the world. But I see a lot of you are buying fancy things. You’re buying Gucci Bags for several hundred dollars, going out to the club with friends blowing $354 on a few drinks and a table, and then complaining you have no money. The reason why so many people can’t afford to travel is because they’re spending money on dumb shit. And I’m sorry for cursing - but it’s the truth. I know it. You know it. We all do. Instead of buying that Louis bag, new headphones, or pair of Yeezy’s for several hundred dollars, spend that SAME amount of money on an experience. Book a flight & hostel for a couple bucks and travel the world. With several hundred dollars, you can literally live for a month in another part of the world in a villa with a swimming pool. It’s crazy. But it’s true. Don’t believe me? Go look at AirBnB in Bali or Thailand. We have technology. If you have the capability to watch this video, you can literally exit Facebook RIGHT NOW and book a flight, hostel etc to a totally new country. So many people spend their entire lives not accomplishing their goals. But the reason they’re scared to do it is because they’re worried about the opinions of friends & family. Maybe you’re worried about what they’ll think if you travel solo, or if you visit a new destinations that you’ve never been to before. Instead of pandering your entire life to the opinions of others, go and chase what you believe in. Travel the world. Do whatever you wanna do. The last thing you wanna live with is regret. I’m gonna say it once more. I want this video to give you the confidence to go out & travel the world. After all, so many people believe they can’t. Go and achieve your ambitions. Go and visit that country, that city, that temple, whatever you wanna do. Wherever you wanna go. The only person stopping you from traveling the world is yourself. This episode defines my beliefs on the current state of the entertainment industry & entrepreneurship. I don't want it to motivate you. I don't want it to make you feel pumped up for a few minutes. Instead, I want to give you 3 things: Happiness, Gratitude & Perspective. Prioritize what makes you happy and where you want to take your life. Reverse engineer your actions around that. We need to talk about mental health. We need to talk about work ethic, and excuses. We need to have these conversations. 1. Find somewhere quiet. One of the fears that many people have is simply holding up a camera in front of their face whilst in public. However, if you’re able to find a relatively quiet park, road, or beach, it will slowly give you the confidence to vlog in public, and gradually build up the number of people around you. 2. Realize that people don’t care. Something which holds a lot of back is the fear of what people think of them because they might look weird. The truth is that people don’t care. They have their lives to get on with, and you have yours. The fear is only in your head. Unless you’re doing something absolutely ridiculous, they probably won’t even pay attention to you. 3. Be confident in your voice and actions. When starting out, a lot of people are extremely shy when first vlogging in public. I don’t blame them. I have empathy for that. However, a bold & confident attitude will reflect in the quality of your content, and will keep your viewers much more entertained. 4. Do It. Similar to any new skill, it takes practice. As often as you can, go out of your comfort zone and vlog in public in order to increase your confidence. Doing it over & over again will make you much more confident to the point in which it’ll feel natural. As Will Smith said, Fear is simply a great opportunity to Face Everything And Rise. The only reason I’m writing this is to recall it in 2,3,4 years when everybody is calling me an overnight success. During the past 3 months alone, I’ve managed to build up a social media following of over 130k people, met with multiple government ambassadors, and am about to collaborate with some of the biggest names within culture. I’m not just some random dude in the entertainment industry. Slowly but surely, I’m becoming “that guy” which is on everyone’s mind. Many many people will call it an overnight success. But for me, it was 20 years in the making. During high school, I hardly went outside. This wasn’t because I was lonely or had no friends. That wasn’t the case. Instead, I was focused on my dreams, my ambitions, and my future. From day one, I was putting in the work that would build the foundations for my success. I continue that philosophy to this very day. During college, I didn’t go out and play football like everyone else. As my classmates know, I often went into a secluded room in the music department, and worked on my craft. Every single day. Even as I write this now, I get messages from people I used to go to school with telling me how successful I am becoming. It’s not luck. I’m not lucky. All I did was actually put in the work to fuel my ambitions. The truth is that I’ve only just begun. My ambitions are ridiculously huge to the point in which they’re probably unhealthy considering the amount of work it will take to achieve them. It takes a lot of hard work, passion & talent to acheive something truly great. Writing this now, I don’t know the future. Heck, i don’t even know what country I’ll be in this time next month. But what I do know is that no matter where I am in the world, I have the strength, work ethic, and persistence to work hard on my dreams every single day for the rest of my life. Recorded this rant whilst in an Airport lounge. Bad quality audio but coming from a good place. Gratitude & perspective are the two traits which have got me through my toughest moments throughout my life. When I have been at my lowest points (Gary Vee calls them Dark Clouds), I have put every moment into perspective. The odds of being ALIVE are 1 in 400 trillion. Yet alone the odds of running a successful business whilst traveling the world at such a young age. Fake entrepreneurship is absolutely rampant during 2018/19. People are literally driving to airfields to take photos with a private jet - just so they can pretend it's theirs to sell others a $3000 course. In this short episode, I talk about why the economic crash will reduce the amount of people fronting on Instagram (and other social media platforms), and why entrepreneurs are held accountable only to themselves.
Elon Musk made the whole world aware of the possibilities regarding simulation theory, and the potential of us actually living in a simulated reality right now. Here are the 3 options: 1) humans go extinct before we are able to run a simulation of this size. 2) Humans are uninterested in running ancestor-simulations due to ethical reasons. 3) We are currently participating in the simulation. Given how many simulated realities there are likely to be, it is probable that the 3rd option is true: we are currently participating in the simulation. In this episode, I talk about my life plans: Using my cultural influence to impact the world on a massive scale, become President, and one day live on Mars alongside the likes of Elon Musk & other entrepreneurs. I have stupidly ridiculous ambition. I know. Sometimes I come across as egotistical. But someone's gotta achieve all that... why not me? On the 3rd of January, I am flying to Sydney on the East Coast of Australia. It is there I begin my challenge. As you probably know, I have an extremely strong belief that pretty much anything is possible if you set your mind to it. There are so many people out there saying that their dream is impossible. They are too scared to actually go after their ambitions because of negativity put in their head by other people saying they won’t accomplish it. That’s where I’m different. Which is why I’ve been challenged to travel the world. To push the limits of budget travel to see what is truly possible when you set your mind to something. So without further delay, here are the rules: I only have 180 days to complete the challenge in. So basically, I have to arrive back in Sydney by the 2nd of July 2019. I have to visit 6 continents on the planet. Being as Antartica is pretty difficult to get to, that’ll be Oceania, Europe, Asia, Africa, and obviously North & South America. I also have to visit a minimum of 30 countries during the trip. Oh, and the budget for the entire thing is £10,000. For all my friends in the USA, that’s approximately $13k. This will cover absolutely everything from flights, accommodation, food, activities etc. At the end of each episode, I’ll do a quick expense report so you guys can see exactly how much I’m spending. Obviously, I’m gonna be on the road a lot. But I’m gonna try and daily vlog it so you can follow the journey, and even be a part of it. And of course, if you’re in the same city as me, it would be amazing to meet some of you! So a round-the-world trip from Sydney. 180 days. 30 countries. And only £10k to do it. It’s happening! I can’t wait for this. It’s gonna be the craziest thing I’ve ever done.

Apologies for not releasing a new episode in a few months. It's back to a regular schedule of 3 episodes a week. In this feature-length episode, I talk about how I'm using my audience to impact the world, how I gained over 120k followers and my plans for the next few years. After a long debate with myself, I have decided to keep each episode as raw audio. I want it to be authentic. There are so many people on Instagram etc "fronting" and showing unrealistic versions of their life. I'm not like that. I want to talk about what I'm thinking, what I've been up to, and discuss some amazing topics with like-minded people during interviews.
