We all know it takes millions of streams to make a decent income from music, but what most producers don't hear about is the new music industry. The new music industry is a place where producers are creating their own economy. This is an industry that smashes the old narrative of “you need a record deal to be successful." For example, if you sold a license at $500 for an artist to use your beats in his or her song, it would only take 2 sales to generate $1,000, and it would only take 200 sales to make $100,000!So if your wheels are TURNING right now and you want to learn how to profit from your music the EASY way, without having to suffer through months or even years of trial and error, don't worry, we got you! In this episode, guest host and founder of the Music Producers Alliance Adam Reifsteck shares the 3 keys to attracting artists who will pay premium prices for your beats so that you can turn your skills as a music producer into a profitable business.Click here to download the PDF GuideThe Modern Producer Secrets Podcast is brought to you by Music Producers Alliance®--an online community and professional development platform that provides learning resources, networking opportunities, and mentoring to music creators at all skill levels. New Zealanders have always been good at looking after the little guy. We’ve prided ourselves on our charity. Remember Telethons? We’ve reached out to the dispossessed.Remember it was John Key who first offered to take Manus Island refugees off Australia’s hands, and now we have a refugee from the Papua New Guinea island here. Berhouz Boochani is revelling in his first week of freedom in six years. At the UN we’ve stood up to the superpowers on the Security Council who use their veto powers to keep smaller nations in misery.Around the world our Prime Minister and our country are lauded for the way we reacted to a terrible atrocity against a minority. And our Government has been studied by other countries as we introduce wellbeing into our budgetary system. We give goodwill goodwill to the downtrodden and dispossessed and the suffering. Yet we have limited compassion for our own disabled people.A new report on funding for disability support shows we give limited and rationed help to 60,000 families. It also finds that 15,000 more families need funding and help and yet receive nothing. The people who receive nothing are predominantly poor or rural, or Maori and Pasifika. The system focuses on rationing demand rather than reaching out to help. The report calculated that the funding shortfall is over half a billion dollars. The Government’s mantra when it comes to disability is “Enabling Good Lives” yet the report shows when a disabled person’s need rises the funding stays the same and when it stays the same the funding decreases.Wellbeing, this Government crows. Well, how about the disabled people’s wellbeing. Just as the previous government’s funding priorities were benchmarked by the money they blew on the flag debate, this government’s benchmark is their first year free tertiary.Over 600 million has spent so fat to help 47,000 students. Over the first year of the scheme, just more than 47,000 students and trainees received free tertiary education.Among those were 74 students who had their Scuba training funded at a cost of $909,041. all up, 52 students who received their Certificate in DJ and Electronic Music Production, and five students who completed a Diploma of Yoga for $30,000.The same money would help 75,000 families struggling with disabilities. I know where I’d rather have money go.It’s an outrage really. The Wellbeing Government needs to match action with their words.

Dancing around the living room to music videos on a Saturday morning as a toddler, Cami Jones has been a lover of all things music since a young age. Springing from the home of renowned artists including Motez, Juliet Fox and Groove Terminator, the soundtrack to her childhood consisted of 90s house music with a mum who played Ministry of Sound CDs on the drive to school. She began creating ‘mixtapes' at the age of 9, recording her favourite songs from underground radio station Fresh 92.7 to tape after school in her bedroom. This obsession only grew, and during her early teens her favourite time of the week was Saturday night when she'd keenly listen to DJs on Fresh, playing the best club house music each week. A few years later and surrounded by a blossoming house music scene in Adelaide, her early clubbing experiences began to further define her musical tastes. Her fun- loving personality meant she was a constant at the clubs contributing to the growing Australian house music scene. Fast forward a few years and a move up north to the sunny state of Queensland, Cami began her DJing career making waves with her signature style of thumping house and techno in her adopted town of Brisbane. After competing in DJ competition Your Shot, she performed in local venues such as Bowler Bar, Wasteland, Empire Hotel and Family Nightclub (now known as Venue EI8HT). Satisfied with the experience she gained and always one to reach for the stars, she ventured overseas to hit international waters. Since then she has DJed across several renowned venues internationally including headline slots at Sankeys (Ibiza), Ocean Beach Club (Ibiza), Jet Sundays (Ibiza), Es Paradis (Ibiza), The Rainbow Venues (Birmingham), Shelter (London), Rooftop 16 (Tirana) and 360 Lounge Bar (Ayia Napa). Cami has also kept busy by finishing her Bachelor of Public Relations university degree whilst drilling in to production work and studying a Diploma of Sound Production, majoring in Electronic Music Production, at SAE QANTM College. For the past two years she has also hosted her own weekly radio show-‘The Clubhouse with Cami Jones' -on 105.7 Radio Metro. As a DJ, Cami knows exactly what the crowd wants and when they want it. She takes her listeners on a journey, showcasing a variety of her favourite tunes whilst ensuring the mood of her dancefloor is exactly how she wants it to be- deep, dark and dirty. Her passion for each and every one of the tunes she plays shines through the energy of her sets and whether it be a thumping kick or a deep, dirty bassline, she brings a uniquely educated blend of underground house and techno to the decks. Cami's wide list of musical influences include Catz ‘N Dogz, Claude VonStroke, DJ Pierre, Mr. G, Nina Kraviz, Green Velvet, KiNK, Len Faki, Kill Frenzy, Shiba San, and Ciszak. Much like the multi-cultural country she comes from, she describes her style as a worldly blend drawing on the soulful elements of Chicago house, the pounding kick of Detroit techno, the underground feel of Berlin, the big basslines of London and the beautiful, deep melodies of the Balearic region. With her production work on the rise, a degree under her belt and a solid upcoming release schedule, 2018 has never looked better for this little dancing kid from the 90s.
She began creating ‘mixtapes’ at the age of 9, recording her favourite songs from underground radio station Fresh 92.7 to tape after school in her bedroom. This obsession only grew, and during her early teens her favourite time of the week was Saturday night when she’d keenly listen to DJs on Fresh, playing the best club house music each week. For the past two years she has also hosted her own weekly radio show-‘The Clubhouse with Cami Jones’ -on 105.7 Radio Metro. As a DJ, Cami knows exactly what the crowd wants and when they want it. Zurra is a 23 year old Electronic Music Producer/DJ from Cambridge. Having only started his journey as a DJ in September 2015 when he first began studying Electronic Music Production at The Academy Of Contemporary Music, Zurra has quickly spread his name over some of the UK's hottest line ups with his unique approach to the art of mixing, playing alongside the likes of DJ S.K.T, Chris Lorenzo, Redlight and many more. Production wise, Zurra specializes in a variety of genre's in the spectrum of House music, taking influence from the bouncy grooves of Tech House and fusing it with the hard hitting nature of UK Bass Music. His debut release, The Dance Machine (signed to TMTR) received support from DJ's all over the world: "I remember hosting a release party at Thirty3Hz when 'The Dance Machine' first came out. Seeing a whole crowd of people singing along to one of my productions for the very first time honestly gave me goosebumps, and it really did help to push me in the right direction with my music. It's these moments that make all the hard work and endless hours in the studio worth it." The past couple of years have been an exciting time for Zurra, playing at some of the most notorious venues in the country as well as landing the opportunity to play numerous International dates for the past two summers. His music has been receiving constant support from the best DJ's on national radio stations such as Danny Howard (BBC Radio 1) and Tough Love (Kiss FM), and has also been named "one to watch" by Mixmag following their sincerely positive review of his forthcoming single "Move Your Body". "'Move Your Body' could be the one that allows him to break through. It's got all the right elements to start gaining some serious traction, and could even facilitate Zurra's move into the big league." - Martyn Henderson, Mixmag Only half way through 2018 and Zurra has already released a variety of quality remixes and originals to further establish himself as a force to be reckoned with. His name continues to grab the attention of promoters all over Europe, holding down a long string of shows throughout the summer, including an overdue return to the White Isle of Ibiza. It's safe to say, now is certainly no time to sleep on the power moves that Zurra is making

Records for the likes of Sleazy Beats, KAT, Razor n Tape and his own Down in the Basement imprint have brought him to the attention of a global audience. He's about to launch a weekly show on the in-house radio station, Radio Teapot, at MAINZ - the music school where he leads the DJ and Electronic Music Production course.
