THE (MAGAZINE) DOCTOR IS IN — Megan Schertler wants to help you make magazines. Yes, you … and you … and you too. But she also wants to ensure that once you make a magazine, you make another one. And then one after that. She wants to make sure that you know it's not easy to create a magazine or to run one or to publish a second one or to sustain a magazine or media brand or to run a business. Megan is big on print. She's one of those extremely rare people who's held down numerous magazine jobs while never working on the digital side of things. Yes, really. People like her exist. So she knows more than many her age that print is more engaging, produces more loyalty, and creates a deeper and more meaningful connection with the message on the page than any other medium. And so with her partners, Megan now helms In Real Life Media to help would-be magazine makers sure, but also some of the world's largest brands navigate the realities of the magazine world. Because while we all love print here, it's hard, it's expensive, and it is, quite frankly, a pain in the ass. But it also results in something glorious, and Megan travels the world speaking at conferences and to people like me to spread the word.. — This episode is made possible by our friends at Freeport Press. This past weekend, Argentina, led by Messi, in what could have been his final World Cup appearance, lost to Spain 1-0. It was a crushing loss, one that, understandably, left Messi looking more reflective and appreciative than full of joy. Ok, now let’s rewind to 2022. Messi won the World Cup and, in the midst of his elation, the look on his face shifted from unbridled happiness to perplexed discomfort. The kind of face Curb Your Enthusiasm has made famous over the years. That’s because, in Messi’s biggest moment, surrounded by teammates and being watched by millions around the world, he had his moment stolen by an internet celebrity. Salt Bae, the internet’s most infamous social media chef, grabbed the trophy and somehow made Argentina’s, and Messi’s, World Cup win about himself. Welcome to REAL DEAL! I’m Tony Reali, and I’m so happy you’re here. Today we’re diving into a moment that felt like a cross between a Mad Lib and a fever dream. Helping us make sense of it all is The Athletic’s Nick Miller, who has covered Messi and his dealings with Salt Bae extensively. It all boils down to one question: Was Salt Bae inserting himself into Messi’s celebration the most hijacked moment in sports history? Let me know what you think in the comments.

In JT's Mix Tape #89, JT is joined by Brian of Demon Erasers and Aaron of Tune Thy Heart to examine the growing problem of “conspiracy slop.” The conversation begins with CERN and the latest Mandela Effect claims before moving into celebrity alien videos, demonic imagery in children's entertainment, deceptive social-media advertising and the spiritual cost of sacrificing truth for influence. The guys also confront sensational stories spreading through Christian deliverance and supernatural podcasts. Are these testimonies leading people toward Jesus—or creating fear, pride and dependence upon self-appointed deliverance ministers? Finally, the discussion turns to theories connecting America with Egypt, ancient Israel and the biblical Promised Land. Could America contain remnants of the Old World, or are creators forcing biblical geography to fit viral narratives? In this episode:CERN and the newest Mandela Effect claimsThe difference between being wrong and knowingly lyingWhy false information spreads so quicklyJames Franco's alleged “alien” videosThe demonic symbolism surrounding the MinionsHow social media rewards deceptionChristian deliverance ministries and spiritual fearKatie Souza's supernatural claimsChrist's authority over demonsKathie Lee Gifford's appearance on Blurry CreaturesThe corporatization of independent podcastsWas ancient America connected to biblical Israel?Utah, Judah, the Red Sea and Mount NeboEvidence surrounding Mount Sinai and Sodom and GomorrahHow to explore mysteries without abandoning discernmentThe goal isn't to mock everyone who gets something wrong. Are those “small business owners” selling trinkets on Tik Tok actually real? Are those ripped gay hunks on Twitter just AI? Do people even care about the distinction between “fake” and “real” in the content they see online? In this episode we dive into the various ways people are deploying AI entities on social media: from the scammy, to the benign, to the sadistic and abusive. Travis unpacks the recent controversy over an Australian influencer who was caught using AI to promote her dubious charity as well the strange trend of videos of fake belt buckle makers. Later the boys are joined by Ej Dickson, senior culture writer at WIRED and author of One Bad Mother: In Praise of Psycho Housewives, Stage Parents, Momfluencers, and Other Women We Love to Hate. Dickson shares the perspective she's gained on reporting on influencer culture, parasocial relationships, and AI manipulation. Along the way the crew ponders whether humanity will actually have to lose a war to AI in order to get plugged into an illusory Matrix-like world or if people will walk into it willingly so long as they can interact with their favorite synthetic influencers. This week on the Straight White American Jesus Sunday Interview, host Annika Brockschmidt sits down with extremism researcher Eviane Leidig, author of The Women of the Far Right: Social Media Influencers and Online Radicalization, for an in-depth conversation about the women reshaping today's far-right movement. Together they explore how female influencers have become some of the movement's most effective communicators, using lifestyle content, tradwife aesthetics, motherhood, religion, and social media to normalize extremist ideas for mainstream audiences. From Lauren Southern and Lana Lokteff to the emerging "womanosphere," Leidig explains how these figures bridge fringe ideologies and conservative politics while building powerful online communities that extend far beyond national borders. Annika and Evian also examine the relationship between gender, Christianity, anti-feminism, transnational organizing, and white nationalism, unpacking the contradictions that allow women to thrive within deeply patriarchal movements. The conversation closes with a look at the international networks connecting the American and European far right, including the role of influencers, social media platforms, and digital propaganda in shaping contemporary extremist politics. Welcome to the weekly MormonNewsRoundup where Al & Dives ruminate on the great and spacious Beehive!
Jasmine Rappleye has quickly become one of the most recognizable voices in online Mormon apologetics. After spending years with Scripture Central, she built a growing audience by presenting faithful answers to difficult questions about Mormon history, doctrine, and Church leadership. In this episode, I take a closer look at Jasmine's rise, her background in the LDS apologetics world, and why her content resonates with so many believing members of the Church. I also explore some of the criticisms frequently raised by former Mormons and skeptics who argue that apologetics often prioritizes defending institutional truth claims over following evidence wherever it leads. Is Jasmine simply a sincere believer sharing her faith? Or is she part of a broader ecosystem designed to keep members committed to Mormonism? We'll examine:• Jasmine Rappleye's work with Scripture Central• The role of LDS apologetics in modern Mormonism• Why her content appeals to faithful audiences• Common criticisms from ex-Mormons and Church critics• The relationship between apologetics, doubt, and beliefWhether you agree with Jasmine or not, there's no question that she has become one of the most influential Mormon content creators on the internet today. What do you think? Is Jasmine providing valuable answers, or simply repackaging institutional narratives? Jordan and Nate open with a genuinely wild AI experiment: Nate ran his genetic data through an AI tool and got a full cognition, energy, and hormone report back. From there they dive deep into psychedelic therapy, celebrating RFK Jr.'s new HHS VA partnership researching psychedelics for veterans while flagging real concerns. Big Pharma is already circling, with Eli Lilly dropping billions to patent DMT based compounds, and the guys unpack a tragic Miami retreat case that shows why sketchy wellness grifters are just as dangerous as pharma control. They also roast a Wired writer who tried to "debunk" RFK's high protein advice by eating nothing but protein powders and pop tarts, dig into the mysterious diarrhea causing parasite showing up in lettuce, and cover a UK lab's synthetic fiber designed to hijack your GLP1 hormones. Rapid fire news on daylight saving time, baby formula ingredients, and a scary new screen time study rounds things out.

Quran Garden - The Holy Quran Explained in Clear English (English Tafsir)
Did you know that some Muslim influencers on social media are spreading false ideas that go against Islam? They infiltrate schools, TV, and online platforms, often making their message harder to spot. Today, we continue our discussion of misguidance and uncover the different tactics enemies of Islam use to attack our faith.
In this episode, we unpack the lawsuit against prediction market platform Polymarket, which accuses the company of orchestrating undisclosed influencer campaigns, promoting simulated betting videos that appeared to show real winnings, and using viral “clipping” tactics designed to make paid content look organic. The case serves as a timely reminder that, even as FTC enforcement priorities evolve, consumer groups and private plaintiffs are increasingly stepping in to police influencer marketing practices. For brands working with creators, the message is clear: transparent disclosures, authentic content, and compliance with endorsement rules remain essential to avoiding legal and reputational risk. Hosted by Simone Roach. Based on a blog post by Gonzalo E. Mon.
We're coming to you from our time in downtown Omaha at the Omaha Baseball Village during one of the biggest sporting events of the year to talk about what it means to carry light into every sphere of influence. Surrounded by the energy of the Road to Omaha, passionate fans from across the country, and thousands of people coming together through sports, we reflect on why changing the game requires us to step outside our comfort zones and take our purpose beyond the four walls. From simple conversations and unexpected connections to people recognizing that there is something different about what we carry, this episode explores how one interaction, one word, or one act of encouragement can create a lasting impact. We discuss the importance of standing firm in your values without withdrawing from culture, supporting those who are courageously living out their convictions, and being willing to enter unfamiliar spaces so your light can be seen. If you have a vision, purpose, or dream that feels bigger than where you are today, this conversation will encourage you to control what you can control, remain committed to what you believe, and use the gifts God has given you to bring people together and create positive change. You don't make an impact by avoiding the darkness; you change the game by carrying the light directly into it.

On Wednesday's Mark Levin Show, the Woke Reich and certain influencers claim that Israel can't stop going to war but it's the U.S. who has been bombing Iran since the ceasefire, sidelining Israel. These Influencers are being paid to undermine President Trump and blame Israel for conflict with Iran. These influencers push the narrative that if only Israel made peace with the Palestinians, then there would be no more conflict. Who do these influencers think support terrorism? Why don't they criticize Qatar, who spend millions buying influence in America? Also, Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) seeks to eliminate the U.S. Senate and Electoral College to advance their agenda, though both require constitutional amendments. These institutions exist to protect smaller, less-populated states, ensuring they have a meaningful say in government so they would join the Union during independence. Similarly, the Electoral College ensures smaller states influence presidential elections, countering domination by a handful of large, populous Democrat metropolitan states and cities. Removing these safeguards would enable mob rule, open borders, non-citizen influence, and a centralized Marxist government. Later, Bruce Blakeman calls in to discuss his run for New York Governor. Under Gov Kathy Hochul New York ranks dead last in economic outlook, driving out high-net-worth individuals and businesses through anti-business policies, high taxes, and overregulation. Blakeman pledges to cut taxes and electric rates, welcome businesses, ensure safer neighborhoods, and build a vibrant economy. Afterward, Todd Blanche is a proven leader who effectively represented Donald Trump in the private sector and who is serving as acting attorney general at the Department of Justice. Democrats oppose his nomination because they preferred Merrick Garland who protected Joe Biden by invoking privileges to block the release of his testimony audio or video, hired rogue prosecutor Jack Smith, and approved the Mar-A-Lago SWAT raid and other attacks on Trump's liberty and due process. Democrats would never accept any nominee chosen by Trump. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

This week on Discover Ag, Natalie and Tara share what the McBee Dynasty cowboy had to say about farming on Fox News — and why he might not be the best person for the job. Then there's the influencer who recorded their trip to a small-town grocery store, and it blew up in the worst way possible. Ep. 214 - Kimberly addresses the universal struggles of building a personal brand, focusing on three major social media pain points: not knowing what to post, struggling with consistency, and fearing the camera. To overcome these blocks, Kimberly introduces the concept of "content pillars"—authentic anchors derived from your actual daily schedule, such as her own mix of media building, motherhood, and tennis. She encourages listeners to stop over-curating their lives and instead share the micro-details that make them unique. Furthermore, she tackles camera shyness by advising creators to stop judging themselves and shift their focus entirely toward the value they are providing to their audience, treating the lens like a conversation with a trusted friend. The episode also highlights a massive cultural shift in the digital landscape: the rise of the "expert influencer." While high-level professionals historically remained private, Kimberly explains that audiences are now hungry for real-world experience over empty theories, giving executives and founders permission to step into the light and share their leadership insights safely. By consistently showing up and sharing authentic expertise, business owners can leverage attraction marketing—drawing in clients naturally and joyfully rather than chasing them down through cold outreach. Ultimately, Kimberly emphasizes that embracing your true self on digital platforms is the most efficient, cost-effective, and enjoyable way to build a successful business and an iconic life.
