Chop the Onion, Celery, Red Bell Pepper, Green Bell Pepper, and Green Onions. Drop two Sticks of Butter into your hot pot and melt completely. Add the chopped vegetables to the pot and raise burner to a medium. Add the Cajun Seasoning, Cayenne Pepper, and Salt. Sauté for about 20 minutes. Meanwhile chop the four cloves of Garlic. After 20 minuets of sautéing, add the garlic and sauté for another 10 minutes. After 10 more minuets of sautéing, push the vegetables to one side of the pot, add the 1/3 cup of flour and blend into the butter. Once the flour is mixed in well, stir everything altogether. Sauté for another 30 minutes. Be very cautious during this time. If fire seems a little high, lower it. Around this time you want to begin cooking some rice. With about 3 minutes left of sautéing, begin heating 2 cups of water in the microwave. Add a little bit of the hot water to the pot, and stir until it's a creamy mixture. Add the Crawfish and rest of the hot water to the pot. Blend evenly. Raise the heat to where you see a slight boil. Cover, and lower to a simmering heat. Cook for about 15-20 minutes. If you feel as though you would like a thinner sauce, just add a little more water. However, taste to see if you need more seasoning. Enjoy Dat!

Welcome back to the studio. This is My Day of Play, where you're taken into the real events and actions of how it happens long before the process of editing or cleaning up. The original purpose of these episodes was to give my broadcasting students something to edit, to practice with and to call their own. Then I realized that you are just as important. Share the reality of how it really went. We begin things with Stephen Riggio the former CEO of Barnes and Noble. What an amazing he's presently on. He's translating Italian classic novels into English. It's not as easy as you think. Then we'll wrap things up Tara Teaspoon whose cooking techniques have been shared on Martha Stewart, The Today Show and The Food Network. Her latest cookbook is title Feast Deliciously. I stumbled over a simple method to cure Hay fever or Seasonal Allergy…Just consume every day 2 - 5 Teaspoons of bee pollen as an adult and as a kid 1-2 Teaspoons on an empty stomach. Why is that working for a pollen allergy? When your body digests the pollen, your body gets used to the pollen and finally, the allergic reaction is over. You expose your body to a very small portion of pollen and the body will reject less and lesser pollen. You start with 1 Teaspoon of pollen per day and each day/week you increase that until you consume 2-5 Teaspoons per day on an empty stomach. You can divide it into smaller portions during the day.The best is to start with the pollen during the winter time until spring or summer until fall. You do this one or two times per year…Take probiotics every day.In addition, you can take QuercitinBromelainNAC Supplement (N-Acetyl Cysteine)Alkelising vitamin CAllergies are connected to the liver and gut…When you consume junk food, alcohol, and fatty food, your liver is overwhelmed and these described remedies will not work. The best would be if you get bee pollen from your locality.Or you can also try in a smaller portion of bee bread… My Video: Get Relief from Hay fever. https://youtu.be/I-9nyQdr7AoMy Audio: https://divinesuccess.net/wp-content/uploads/2021/Podcast4/Get-Relief-from-Hay fever.mp3
Join us on January 16th at 7pm for a panel on Media in the age of war and resistance. The panel will feature Flashpoints host Dennis Bernstein, Nora Barrows-Friedman with Electronic Intifada and Green and Red Podcast co-host Prof. Robert Buzzanco. We're living in challenging times with crises around war in the Middle East, renewed McCarthyist attacks on free speech, corporate domination of everyday life and escalating climate disasters. We're also living in a time where large numbers of people have taken to the streets to confront those responsible for these crises. For decades, independent media has told the stories that corporate media has kept hidden. It has shined a light on the elites and corporations making profit from destruction of people and the planet. As we enter another Trump administration, radical independent media will be more important than ever. We had a fantastic interview w/ Dennis Bernstein, host of KPFA's "Flashpoints" and longtime journalist on the Left who's inspired and helped so many of us. Dennis talked about his start on radio, including fascinating recollections of his role in covering the U.S. war on Central America and the Contra-CIA-Cocaine scandal in the 80s. We talked about his role in Left media, and how he's been at the forefront of so many issues of importance to us--war and peace, justice, labor, immigration, and so on. Importantly we discussed the renewed "McCarthyist" attack on free speech, Dennis's thoughts on being a Jewish peace activist amid charges of anti-semitism, and we had a great conversation about his poetry and how important that's been to his own career. Turmeric is one of the best anti-inflammatory herbs in the world… Even it has so much more benefits for the body that are essential…If you don't believe me, just put Turmeric on a wound or a wound that is inflamed…Even 1 g of turmeric is enough per day. When taking turmeric, it's important to ensure proper absorption to maximize its benefits. Turmeric can't be dissolved in water because turmeric is fat soluble, so it's best to take it with fats like nuts, coconut/almond oil, or avocado to ensure proper absorption into the bloodstream.Or take turmeric with a little bit of black pepper because piperine is in black pepper.Taking turmeric with piperine can increase its absorption into the cells of our body by up to two thousand percent, allowing it to effectively repair and heal. You can buy Turmeric supplements from 500mg to 2000mg which includes piperine. Or you heat it with vegetables and water for 10 to 12 minutes, which increases the absorption up to 12 times.Or you take Turmeric with your meal or directly after your meal when your meal has fatty components.Drinking warm milk with turmeric before bed not only provides anti-inflammatory benefits but also increases tryptophan, serotonin, and melatonin levels, promoting better sleep.Turmeric contains curcumin, an active compound that has medicinal healing properties and can help with various health issues such as diabetes, depression, viral infections, and premenstrual syndrome.Turmeric can also help with various health issues such as irritable bowel syndrome, headaches, stubborn skin disorders, and fatty liver, while supporting overall metabolism, immunity, digestion, and detoxification.Turmeric can help regulate blood sugar levels and aid in digestion by creating, transporting, storing, and releasing bile into the intestines.Helps with heart diseases, and reduces inflammation in the brain.Turmeric supports liver function, aids in detoxification, and promotes healthy digestion and gut health.Turmeric helps our colon to stay healthy and that is crucial for our overall health. The connection between the colon and the brain is crucial, with 90% of serotonin production happening in the colon, impacting mood, sleep, and cognitive function. If the hormone Serotonin is not regulated, we get a foggy brain or get depressed. The mitochondria of our cells and our gut microbiome consist of trillion ions of bacteria that inhabit the digestive tract and play a crucial role in our overall health including colon Health. If our colon is inflamed then turmeric helps immediately. Turmeric is a pre-probiotic component that feeds our probiotics.Autointoxication and constipation can cause abdominal discomfort, bloating, and straining during bowel movements, leading to rectal pain and discomfort… And that prevents Turmeric.Turmeric increases bile production for the absorption of fatty nutrients in our body. All of our skin problems like Psoriasis come directly or indirectly from our colon. The guts affect our immunityIf you have autoimmune problems or allergy problems, you need to look at your guts.My Video: Turmeric, 1/5 of a teaspoon protects us. https://youtu.be/5ybQ4TYpJFEMy Audio: https://divinesuccess.net/wp-content/uploads/2021/Podcast4/Turmeric-1-5-of-a-teaspoon-protects-us.mp3
Christian and Josh are joined by the supremely talented comedian Nat Harris for Patch 131! Nat is about to perform a replay of her Melbourne International Comedy Festival show "Lathered" at Comedy Republic on Tuesday July 16. Purchase tickets through the Comedy Republic website! We kick off the episode by fighting about who has a better 'natural' reading voice before Nat reveals that she bleeds from the eyes and gums due to a stigmatism. Hot start alert! Christian expresses his dislike for people who engage in loud activities on the other end of the phone, Nat opens up about her tendency to speak to herself and Josh takes aim at people who type while they're talking to you. Josh then considers whether his home teaspoon policy (leaving it turned upside down on the edge of the sink) can translate into the office. Will his colleagues scratch their neck with his spoon? Nat struggles with using a single teaspoon across different substances and Christian breaks down over an oily teaspoon in soapy water and suggests Josh invent a half spoon half pen. We also ask what you do after spilling a few drops of coffee or tea on the floor? Nat closes out the Patch by telling us about a very important recent purchase of hers, fabric softener. Christian remembers sniffing a great smelling teacher, we agree that Napisan is a trusted brand, Josh spruiks Hegs Pegs and Nat asks whether we put folded clothes away immediately. With very special guests "Previously on Lathered with Pussy Willow" and "Nursery Rhymes". You can hear more Nat every weekday morning in Melbourne by tuning into Breakfasters on Triple R or listening online via https://www.rrr.org.au/ Follow us on Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Twitter and Facebook to see clips from the show: linktr.ee/welcometopatchwork For a couple of dollars a month you can sign up to our Patreon page and get a bonus Patch every off week! This episode is about power of our subconscious mind and how to tap into it to heal our past trauma, help with anxiety, shift our mindsets, and remove blockages to achieving our dreams! I chat with Dr. Tara Perry, clinical hypnotherapist and doctor of acupuncture and Chinese medicine. She has extensive experience helping individuals access their subconscious mind to remove old, unwanted programming and rewrite it. We chat about the usefulness of meditation to tap into the subconscious. We also discuss how hypnotherapy can help us access our subconscious mind, even deeper than meditation can. Dr. Perry describes the process of hypnosis, dispels myths about it, how patterns become clearer, and how this can help us shift our lives and heal our childhood trauma. Find out more about what Dr. Perry does and how to work with her by visiting consulttara.com or nashvillehealer.com. If you message her by clicking the "Let's Talk" button on her website, and say that you heard her on A Teaspoon of Healing, Tara will send you her relaxing audiotape called "Unzipped" as a free gift!
Chronic sinus infections can be frustrating and uncomfortable. While many people turn to antibiotics for relief, they may not realize that these medications only target bacteria and can worsen the situation if the infection is fungal. Fungal infections can be even more problematic, particularly those caused by the invasive fungus Aspergillus. This fungus can break down the lining of your sinus cavities and potentially damage bone and tissue in other areas. It also thrives in environments with oxygen and moisture. If you have a weakened immune system due to conditions such as diabetes, HIV, or a poor diet high in sugar and refined carbs, Aspergillus can take advantage and cause further harm. In fact, it has been known to target and downgrade vitamin D receptors in the body, leading to a compromised immune system. To combat this fungal issue, you can try incorporating natural remedies into your routine. One powerful remedy is garlic oil, which has been shown to inhibit the growth of fungus and bacteria. Oregano oil is also effective in fighting bacteria, yeast, and mold. Both can be diluted with coconut oil which contains compounds that boost the immune system and have anti-fungal properties. Add 5 drops of garlic oil and 5 drops of oregano oil to one teaspoon. Then, add just enough coconut oil until you have one full teaspoon of this mixture. Consider taking this daily for one month to allow it to gradually balance out your body's microorganisms. You can also include xylitol, curcumin, or aloe vera for added benefits. Blue light therapy may also be beneficial, as well as red light therapy if you've had surgery on your sinuses. DATA: https://turnontheblue.com/safe-blue-l...

Road Trip time!! We took What to Drink on the road to the Napa Valley to interview industry legends Barbara & Bruce Neyers, owners & founders of Neyers Vineyards! The married duo recounts the story of their journey into the world of wine, starting in the early 1970's in the Napa Valley. All of their wines are delicious and leave you wondering, "Am I drinking Old World (European) wines right now, or could these indeed be Californian?!" The Sage Canyon Red blend is a delicious Rhône-style blend (Carignan, Mourvèdre, & Grenache) & will pair with most dishes, but we eventually singled out roast chicken because the two mentioned the perfect marriage of these two several times. What makes Neyers Sage Canyon Red special: Winemaker Daniel Brunier of Chateauneuf du Pape winery Vieux Télégraphe remarked that the Central Valley of California was not much different in temperature than the Rhone; why couldn't the Neyers' grow their favorite Rhône grapes in California? Bruce and Barbara started purchasing Carignan, Mourvèdre, & other Rhône-style grapes from Central Valley winemakers with specific instructions: 1. the grower must reduce their grape yields to prioritize quality over quantity, and 2. they had to employ Old World winemaking techniques like pigeage (stomping grapes by foot) & stem-inclusion. Bruce's wines are a perfect example that California & the 'New World' can achieve 'Old World' elegance, savoriness, and body! BONUS RECIPE: Barbara's Couscous Salad with Chicken Breast Recipe (Serves 4) INGREDIENTS: 2 cups dried couscous 2 cups cherry tomatoes, cut in half – Sweet 100 and Sungold tomatoes 1-2 Cucumbers, Persian or Armenian — peeled and sliced ¼ to 1/8-inch thick 2 chicken breasts, boned and skinless 1 cup canned chickpeas, rinsed 1/3 cup crumbled feta cheese Fresh basil torn into pieces for garnish Kosher salt and fresh ground pepper VINAIGRETTE INGREDIENTS: 1 Tablespoon minced shallot 2 Teaspoons fresh squeezed lemon juice ½ Teaspoon paprika ½ Teaspoon coriander ½ Teaspoon turmeric ½ cup extra virgin olive oil PREPARATION: Cook the chicken breasts on a grill using mesquite charcoal. Cook the couscous as directed on the package. Refrigerate the couscous if not using immediately. Combine the vinaigrette ingredients and set aside. Cut the chicken breasts in half lengthwise and then into ½-inch pieces. In a bowl combine the couscous, chicken breasts, chickpeas and vinaigrette. Season with Kosher salt and fresh ground pepper to taste. Serve the couscous with cherry tomatoes and cucumbers on top and garnish with basil and feta cheese. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/what2drink/message
In today's podcast, Tawana Lowery provides transformational insights on the importance of Unstoppable Desire and the critical role it plays in planting a mustard seed of hope. Listen as she encourages you to never throw away your desire; it is the key to receiving what you are hoping and believing for. Desire is where Faith begins. We don't need a large shovel to plant a mustard seed. We can plant a Mustard Seed of Hope with just a Teaspoon of Desire! Taken from “Miss Overcomer Empower Moments.” All content is Copyrighted by Tawana Lowery and Women World Leaders and cannot be used without express written consent. A few weeks ago, I was praying about some close relationships that never panned out the way I had hoped. Although God has completely healed my heart from the pain that was created, I was still curious about the choices others had made concerning me. And so, I asked God, “Lord, what was their reason for NOT including me and NOT accepting me??? I wasn't lamenting or demanding and answer. I was simply trying to connect the dots on the rationale behind it. He said… “They didn't Want to. They just didn't want to.” Truthfully, I was a bit surprised at the simplicity of God's response…. I guess I was expecting to hear some deep spiritual answer. But he just said… “They simply didn't want to.” And then he said, “What I told you is profound when you think about it. In fact, it's very insightful… spiritually speaking”. Want = Desire And Desire is where Faith begins! Conversely, the lack of desire is where Hardness of Heart begins… because it means we've given up hope! Immediately my mind went to the story of the Lame man at the Pool of Bethesda (as recorded in John chapter 5). And I realized why Jesus chose the words he did when engaging the lame man. By the time Jesus came on the scene, the Bible says this man had been in the same condition for 38 years. That's a lifetime when you think about it. But Jesus question was intended to expose the man's heart and where he was in his ability to believe for a miracle. Jesus said, “Do you WANT to be healed.” He was basically asking the man… “After all this time… after all the disappointment… after all the waiting… after watching others receive their miracle… Do you STILL WANT IT, or have you Given up? In other words, “Do you still have a Desire? Do you still have a little bit of want to?” “Because if you have just a teaspoon of desire… I can work with that!” I also believe Jesus was showing us the Heavenly equation on Faith. He is saying that our Desire, even if it's small, is where faith begins.” I believe this perfectly aligns with what Rabbi Paul (or the apostle Paul) admonishes in Hebrews 11:1. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” In other words: Desire produces Hope and Hope produces Faith! And although our Desires are not immediately visible, they can be made visible if we don't give up! So, you could say… “Now Faith is the Substance of things Hoped for… the evidence of our Desires!” I think we can also see this in the story about the Women with a Bleeding Disorder (Luke 8:43-48). After years of suffering and tons of disappointing results, her self-talk is quite remarkable. And gives us insight into the results she experienced from Jesus. She said, “If I can only….” WOW. Those are the words of “Desire.” She was saying… In spite of it all, I still Want It! And her my desire fed her hope that provided the strength to DRAG herself away from a place of hopelessness and onto the highway of life. Jesus said to her, “Your FAITH has made you whole.” But it started with her teaspoon of Desire! Her teaspoon of DESIRE kept hope alive… And it positioned her to COME ALIVE with healing!!! Let's look at one more example found in Luke 5:17-26. When we think about unstoppable Desire, this story should get the POSTER award! You know it well. Four Men are trying to get their paralyzed friend to Jesus in the HOPES that he will be healed. And there are a lot of obstacles in the way… Lots of reasons to give up and go home! But, because of their strong desire, it fueled their hope. The scriptures tell us that when Jesus saw THEIR Faith. When he saw their unstoppable desire, their friend was made whole. You know… sometimes I think we make our faith walk harder than it needs to be. Sometimes we think it takes a whole lot of faith just to have faith! Sometimes we think it takes a giant shovel to plant a Mustard Seed. But that's not true! I believe these passages tell us that we can plant a Mustard Seed with a Teaspoon! I believe it is telling us that our DESIRE (even if it's small) is the key to receiving. But, let's go back and visit the first example about the man at the Pool of Bethesda in John 5. Because his story is slightly different from the others. This man didn't pursue Jesus. Jesus came to him. But WHY? I'm sure there were other infirmed people by the pool that day. So, why this man? Well, I think we can learn something from the question Jesus asked him. Jesus already knew what his answer would be. I think Jesus came to this man because Jesus knew there was still a teaspoon of Desire in his heart. The problem was, he had been placing his HOPE in others. His initial response was, “Lord, when the waters stir I have no one to help me!” This poor man had spent all those years hoping in others. WOW! How many of us can relate to that? And this is how the enemy tries to kill our Desire. He tries to kill it through Misplaced Hope. Because if we take our desire FOR something, but put our hope IN something or someone other than God, we will experience disappointment, heartache, etc. And, if we do that long enough, we'll be tempted to GIVE UP. We'll be tempted to throw away our Desire and our Want To! Possibly the other people around the pool had already given up and had given themselves over to hardness or heart. I also believe Jesus is showing us that Hardness of Heart is the real danger. And it happens when we stop Desiring, when we throw away our Want To! But what this also demonstrates is that we need to be Vigilant to Guard our Hearts from growing cold and indifferent. We can bypass the hard heartedness if we commit our Desires to Jesus. If we place all our Hope in him only. HE and HE alone is the Author and the Finisher of our Faith. The scriptures say… the Lord will give you (Freely give you) the desires of your heart. He is the one who initiates the Desire and He is the one who brings it to completion. Galatians 6:9 encourages us to, “Not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we don't give up.” In other words, when we seek God to keep our heart's desires, and if we ask him for continued strength to forgive and to think on things above, we will reap a harvest from the mustard seed we have planted (with our Teaspoon of Desire). Proverbs 4:23 says, “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.” Sisters, we must resist the temptation to give up on our Desires, because it will determine our line of thinking and believing and receiving! So, you might be thinking, “What about people who gave up their desire and didn't realize the cost involved? What if someone put their hope in others because the enemy seduced them into believing a lie? What does the Bible have to say to those people?” We're basically asking, “Will God redeem the unbelief?” In a word, YES! And the scriptures confirm it! Isaiah 1:18, the Lord invites us to talk with him about anything that separated us from him on any level so we can be made new again! “Come now, let's reason together (lets talk about this thing that tripped you up!) Though your sins be like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. (Even though the unbelief and dooms day thinking left a stain on you heart and mind… give it to me and I will replace it with a resurrected heart and mind!)” 1 John 3:20 reads, “If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything.” In other words, he is compassionate and understands our weakness and is always there to bring us out! Maybe you're feeling weary right now? Maybe you're feeling tempted to throw away your Desire? It could be because of your vocation… Or you might feel weary concerning a special relationship. Maybe you're disheartened because of a life interruption that you weren't prepared for. Or maybe you still have a little desire, but you're growing weary because of Misplaced Hope. Possibly you put hope in the performance or acceptance of a spouse, a child, a friend, or even a religious leader. It is a common snare. We've all made that mistake before! Lastly, you might be the person thinking you need HUGE Faith just to have small faith. In other words, maybe you devalued your simple Desires… not realizing how much God can use it. Maybe you feel overwhelmed at the thought of Mustering up hope because you think it requires a giant shovel to plant a mustard seed? That's okay… because our sense of lack is the perfect place to start. Just think about the miracle of the Loaves and Fishes. Whether we use a shovel or a teaspoon, we must place it in God's hands if we're going to reap a harvest. If any of those scenarios apply to you, then with your permission, I'd like to lead you in prayer. Heavenly Father, I bring this weariness to the cross in the name of Jesus. You've told me to cast ALL my care upon you… because you care for me. And Lord, this weariness is more than I can bear. Forgive me for trying to carry it on my own. And Lord, where I'm tempted to give up on the desires of my heart, forgive me… I know you don't condemn me… In fact you are always ready to rescue me from any temptation that might separate me from your perfect love. And that includes feeling alone and isolated and hopeless. Father, reveal to my heart any area where I have been tempted to put my hope in someone or something other than you… Forgive me for putting my hope in another person, or in myself or a certain outcome. I bring the misplaced hope… this temptation to despair, the unbelief and giving up to the cross of Jesus. I asked that this part of my heart that's been wounded would be made dead on the cross, crucified and buried… and the wine skin that's contained it all these years. And any area of my heart that has exchanged the truth for a lie… I asked that it would be made dead this very moment… on the cross of Jesus. Father of glory… I ask to be Resurrect in Jesus with a NEW heart and a NEW mind and a NEW wineskin. Lord… fill me with new wine that I can live a brand-new life!! In Jesus mighty and glorious name…. Amen. Copyrighted by Tawana Lowery and Miss Overcomer Global and cannot be used without express written consent. July 2023

Fennel 1/3 bulb Sliced very finely. I learnt this from Bill's (the Aussie /Sydney chef) in London. I think the addition of fennel is where the magic happens. 3. A lot of coriander. Chopped up. 1/2 bunch. More. Go crazy. Mint is a lovely addition or substitute if cori not in season. 4. Chopped celery. 1-2 sticks 5.A handful of currants. 6. Teaspoon of orange rind. 7. Vinaigrette. You can use Praise French dressing. (Perfect for this dish) Fiddle with the quantities. You can't go wrong. We eat it all the time! The trick is to go very fine with all shredding. Pharmacy in a Bowl. This season of Ad Blocking we explore inspiring tales of taking risks, challenging convention and becoming brave. Stories that may inspire us or perhaps remind us we must choose our hard on the road to becoming whole. In today's episode, I speak with former advertising leader at Unilever, Pizza Hut, Google, IAS and Cover FX Skincare – Ben Hsi. Since our last conversation, Ben has taken some unconventional risks, left the advertising industry to become owner of Austin, TX Franchise Teaspoon and challenged the conventional wisdom of “reinvention”. Our discussion is a timely one as the industry endures a wave of layoffs, continued ageism, and an everchanging battle with it's own identity.
