La presidenta de la Asociación de las Víctimas Mortales de la Dana del 29 de octubre, Rosa Álvarez, ha criticado duramente en 24 horas de RNE la actitud de Alberto Núñez Feijóo tras conocerse el auto judicial que le solicita que facilite voluntariamente los mensajes que envió a Carlos Mazón el día de la tragedia. Álvarez ha defendido que “los autos de la jueza son siempre impecables” y ha cuestionado que Feijóo alegue problemas de agenda para no declarar: “No viene porque así lo ha estimado”, ha asegurado, añadiendo que quizá “no le debemos de parecer suficientemente importantes las familias de 230 víctimas”.Álvarez ha puesto en duda que el líder del PP cumpla su palabra de entregar los mensajes completos y ha recordado que, según sostiene, “ya han mentido en otras ocasiones”. En este sentido, ha afirmado que no se trata de opiniones, sino de “un hecho objetivo” respaldado por los WhatsApp ya conocidos, aunque solo de forma parcial. “Todo lo que se aporte va a dar luz al hecho”, ha señalado, reclamando que se entregue “todo el volcado” de mensajes y preguntándose: “¿Quién nos dice que no hay más WhatsApps?”.Durante la entrevista, la representante de las familias ha mostrado su dolor por las palabras de Feijóo elogiando la dimisión de Mazón y ha subrayado que el caso trasciende cualquier debate político: “Aquí no estamos hablando de política, estamos hablando de 230 vidas que fueron cegadas por la negligente gestión de un gobierno autonómico”. 24 horas de RNE ha hablado esta tarde con Diana Morant, secretaria general del PSPV-PSOE y Ministra de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades, sobre los mensajes que Alberto Núñez Feijóo ha hecho llegar a la jueza de Catarroja que instruye el caso de la DANA. "Se pueden sustraer muchas cosas, el tono con el que se habla... Expresiones muy poco adecuadas al que se tiene que hacer responsable de un drama de estas características".Morant y el PSOE pide la dimisión del líder de los populares. "Cuando Feijoo pisó Valencia el día 31 lo primero que dijo fue que había estado informado puntualmente por Mazón. Eso es mentira. El PP ha ido con la mentira por delante y se ha dedicado a atacar y culpar a otros [...] El PSOE le pide la dimisión a Feijóo por mentir en una tragedia tan grave."Sobre la selección de los mensajes que Feijóo ha hecho, ha señalado lo siguiente: "El señor Feijóo nos secuestra la realidad. Feijóo envió a la jueza el acta notarial con sus mensajes con el expresidente valenciano el día de Nochebuena, cuando fue alzada dos días antes. El acta revela tres horas y media de comunicaciones exclusivamente por Whatsapp, las mentiras de Mazón y que Feijóo no pidió elevar el nivel de alerta.

Across 10 deployments to Iraq, East Timor, the Solomon Islands, North Africa and three tours of Afghanistan, he held command at troop, squadron and senior staff levels, carrying responsibility across tactical and operational decision-making within the Special Operations Task Group (SOTG). Brett came into special operations through law and intelligence. He first served as the principal intelligence officer (S2) at 1 Commando Regiment and later as the S2 for SASR, before transferring to the Legal Corps. In that role, he advised special operations forces on the laws of armed conflict, rules of engagement, and some of the most complex legal and ethical challenges of the Afghanistan war. His five deployments included Kosovo, three tours of East Timor and an extended tour of Afghanistan. Together, they reflect on their involvement in the award-winning documentary ‘Bravery and Betrayal', unpacking how sustained operational tempo, political decision-making, legal constraints, and leadership silence shaped the war in Afghanistan and what those choices cost individuals, families, veterans, and institutions.
