On paper, “Furious” sounds like something we've all seen before. An FBI agent. A serial killer. A cat-and-mouse chase stretched across eight episodes. That's technically what the show is, but it's also not really what the show is. The cat is carrying around a mountain of old trauma. The mouse has a disturbingly decent argument. Neither one is behaving in a way that makes it easy to decide who deserves your sympathy. That is where Liz Meriwether's (“New Girl,” “Dying for Sex”) new Hulu series gets its hooks in. Loosely inspired by the 1987 thriller “Black Widow,” “Furious” follows FBI agent Alice Black (Emmy Rossum) as she hunts Catherine (Lola Petticrew), a serial killer targeting powerful men. Very quickly, though, the pursuit starts to feel less like a standard case and more like two damaged people slowly realizing they may understand each other better than anyone else does. That is not necessarily a good thing for either of them. The series also stars Scoot McNairy, Quincy Tyler Bernstine, Jake Lacy, Rob Delaney, Rob Yang, and Steve Way.

Previous record releases include Needles (EP), Pretty Town and Life of Luxury (including tracks produced by Jim Rondinelli [Wilco, Matthew Sweet]). His work has appeared on dozens of TV shows and several short film soundtracks. One song, “Rendezvous,” figured prominently (and dubiously) in a movie that The New York Times labeled “an unpalatable mush.” The film wasn't great but it wasn't all that bad–Emmy Rossum was in it. "Summer Surprise" rolls along, and this time around our online randomizer has chosen a film from perhaps our most dreaded cinematic genre - a "supernatural romance" YA adaptation! That's right, 2013's Beautiful Creatures was another studio attempt to cash-in on and replicate the success of Twilight, and upon its release it was roundly dismissed as such by both critics and audiences. But could this Southern Gothic tale of love and witchcraft possibly work its magic on us? If nothing else, will we fall under the spell of one of the most impressive ensemble casts we've encountered so far, with Alden Ehrenreich, Alice Englert, Jeremy Irons, Emma Thompson, Viola Davis, Emmy Rossum, Margo Martindale, Zoey Deutch, and Lois Lane herself, Rachel Brosnahan? Or will we once again be left "cursing" the fates that caused us to watch yet another YA adaptation?  Our Twitter Our Facebook Our Instagram Our YouTube Trev's Letterboxd Chris' Letterboxd

BUSINESS INTERVIEW: From Pain to Power: The Fascinating Journey of Fascia Health Pioneer Anna Rahe Welcome to another exciting episode of Join Up Dots, the podcast that delves into the stories of remarkable entrepreneurs who have turned their challenges into triumphs.   Today, we have a truly inspiring guest whose journey from pain to empowerment will leave you motivated and ready to tackle your own obstacles head-on. Anna Rahe is not just a successful business owner, but a pioneering fascia health and wellness entrepreneur who has transformed thousands of lives, including those of celebrities like Robert Downey Jr., Emmy Rossum, and Charlie Hunnam. As the founder of GST Body, Anna has built a thriving online business, helping over 10,000 people find lasting change by restoring their bodies. But Anna's story isn't just about her current success. It's about the incredible journey that got her here. In her teens and early 20s, Anna was plagued by chronic pain and undiagnosable IBS-like symptoms. After years of searching for answers, she discovered the vital yet overlooked organ known as fascia, and this revelation completely reversed her pain and changed her life. Determined to help others, Anna created GST Body, and over the past 25+ years, she has faced numerous challenges, including a failed attempt to open a studio in New York City, where she was unfortunately swindled. Yet, these setbacks only fueled her passion and resilience, shaping her into the formidable entrepreneur she is today. So, what does it take to turn personal suffering into a global wellness revolution? How does one overcome such significant setbacks and still rise to the top in their field? So let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Anna Rahe.

Anna Rahe is a FASCIA-NATING guest to introduce to you (ha ha ha)! In her 20s, Anna suffered from chronic pain throughout her body that manifested as tension and IBS-like symptoms. Even as a dancer with a range of motion better than most, she still suffered from tightness and pain, with no clear answer as to why or how it could be solved. Anna spent thousands of hours searching every discipline from East to West to find a fix. Every professional she approached said the same thing – “it's too complicated.” She left their offices with nothing until finally, she took healing into her own hands – literally. Anna followed the connections to and from the pain in her body, and through this process discovered fascia, the “secret organ” that, when damaged, causes many of the body's complications and complaints we suffer from. She mapped her entire body, and it was then that the sun finally rose on the dark night of pain she'd been in for so long. As the founder of GST Body, Anna has worked with celebrities such as Robert Downey Jr., Emmy Rossum, and Sam Esmail, while also being featured in various publications, from The Wall Street Journal to goop.Find Anna at- https://www.annarahe.com/IG- @gstbodyYT- @TheGSTBodyhttps://gstbody.com/DISCOUNT!!!
