Sarah Walsh and Geoff Wotton are raising funds to send musical instruments donated by Rocksteady in Liphook, to a school in Jamaica, in an area badly damaged by Hurricane Melissa. On Tuesday 2 March, Annie Jones provided the venue free, local stores donated food, 60 people attended and £1,100 was raised. With the £700 they had raised beforehand they are almost at their £2000 target (there is a just giving page - see below.) Shine Radio's Joffe Lacey, as it happens on the losing team that night, spoke to Geoff Wootton abut the project and the evening itself. A marathon of games. This week, we've actually played a ton of stuff. We'll start out with some opening thoughts on Resident Evil Requiem, Capcom's ninth main installment in the long-running survival horror series. After that, it's back to Arkham City for more Batman as we continue running through Rocksteady's superhero classics. There's also a little Super Mario 64, a revisit to the Haunted Mansion, and a small start to Grand Theft Auto 3. Then, some games that haven't come out yet in beta or demo form with Marathon and Pragmata, as well as Rave Racer, on consoles for the first time since it's arcade release over 30 years ago. Joey Remenyi explains why it can feel that you get worse before you get better when you start implementing neuroplasticity and learning how to regulate your body. EPISODE 339 - We take a look at the show that brought huge fame for the Turtle -- the original Saturday morning TV show.  Although primarily made as a way to promote the new toy line, the creators of this TV show also wanted it to be good. So there was a lot of thought put into this show. They took a lot of visual designs from the comic, but simplified the story considerable. They added new characters (Rocksteady and BeBop), half-new characters (Krang the talking brain) and gave April a more specific consistent personality.  We look at the first five episodes, which is the entire first season and which tell a single story.  The story gets complicated, but it's fun and thoughtful and... pretty darn good.  Hey, maybe these Turtles are gonna be around for a while. The King Family has been performing together (and with solo careers) since the 1920s: vaudeville, radio, musical films of the 1940s, kitschy sci-fi from the 1950s, tours across the country, recordings in musical genres from jazz and big band to Broadway and pop—even cartoons and video games. Cameron Arthur Clarke is an American voice actor who is known for voicing Leonardo and Rocksteady from the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon, Shotaro Kaneda from Akira, Freddy from the Barnyard franchise, Liquid Snake from Metal Gear Solid, Clay Kaczmarek from Assassin's Creed II and Simba from The Lion King franchise whenever Matthew Broderick is unavailable.  Cam is also known for being the voice for Snoopy (Snoopy the Musical/Talking Snoopy Doll),  Max Sterling in Robotech, He-Man in the 2002 He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, the tween idol, Heath Burns, in the original Monster High, and Professor X in several X-Men properties.    Want to watch: YouTube Meisterkhan Pod (Please Subscribe)
