What’s On Disney Plus Q&A

To get you into the spirit for the spooky season, Disney+ has a wide selection of films and shows available that either are set during the Halloween season, or just have that little spark that feels right at this time of year.    I've pulled out five titles from Disney+ that I'm planning on watching during October to get me ready for the spookiest night of the year.  Here are my top five things to watch on Disney+ this Halloween:    #DisneyPlus   VISIT ONLINE -  http://www.WhatsOnDisneyPlus.com If you enjoy my content, please consider supporting me by becoming a YouTube Channel Member for as little as $5 a month and get access to exclusive content and much more.   https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC99lFugkkvslALTl_RLVn_Q/join FOLLOW ON TWITTER -   http://Twitter.com/DisneyPlusNews   FOLLOW ON INSTAGRAM -   http://instagram.com/WhatsOnDisneyPlus LIKE ON FACEBOOK -  http://facebook.com/WhatsOnDisneyPlus

After subscribing to Disney+, loading up the app on your device and seeing a wall of rectangles offering a wide selection of shows and movies from the past hundred years, it can be a little overwhelming to decide what to watch first.  With hundreds of different movies going back to the 1930s, childhood classics, epic blockbusters, iconic moments and the most recent theatrical releases, picking a movie to watch on Disney+ can be tricky. So I've put together a list of ten movies I think any new Disney+ subscriber should consider adding to their watchlist.  Now, no doubt you will have some other movies to suggest, and feel free to do so on social media to me, but I've picked out some of the biggest franchises, along with some fantastic original films that can only be seen on Disney+. Here are my suggestions for films to watch on Disney+ after subscribing:   #DisneyPlus  VISIT ONLINE -  http://www.WhatsOnDisneyPlus.com If you enjoy my content, please consider supporting me by becoming a YouTube Channel Member for as little as $5 a month and get access to exclusive content and much more.   https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC99lFugkkvslALTl_RLVn_Q/join FOLLOW ON TWITTER -   http://Twitter.com/DisneyPlusNews   FOLLOW ON INSTAGRAM -   http://instagram.com/WhatsOnDisneyPlus LIKE ON FACEBOOK -  http://facebook.com/WhatsOnDisneyPlus

With the release of the latest Spider-Man film, "Brand New Day" in cinemas this summer, many comic book fans around the world might be looking to get in the swing of things by checking out some of the previous adventures of your friendly neighbourhood superhero.   I've pulled together a list of the live-action movies featuring "Spider-Man", ranking them from worst to best. For the purposes of this ranking, I've also not included the animated films, nor the Marvel "Avengers" and "Civil War" films, or villain spin-off films.  Unfortunately for Spidey fans, due to the complicated licensing rights for the character from a deal made years before Disney purchased Marvel, Sony owns the rights to the "Spider-Man" movies, though Marvel Studios does collaborate with them on the latest films with Tom Holland.   This also means that Sony distributes the movies, resulting in these films being available on Disney+ around the world in different ways from country to country due to licensing contracts.   So not every film on this list may be available on Disney+ in your country.  #disneyplus   VISIT ONLINE -  http://www.WhatsOnDisneyPlus.com If you enjoy my content, please consider supporting me by becoming a YouTube Channel Member for as little as $5 a month and get access to exclusive content and much more.   https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC99lFugkkvslALTl_RLVn_Q/join FOLLOW ON TWITTER -   http://Twitter.com/DisneyPlusNews   FOLLOW ON INSTAGRAM -   http://instagram.com/WhatsOnDisneyPlus LIKE ON FACEBOOK -  http://facebook.com/WhatsOnDisneyPlus

This summer, the second season of the hit animated series, "X-Men '97", arrived on Disney+ around the world, and recently, I got to speak with the composers of the music for the show, The Newton Brothers, Andy Grush and Taylor Newton Stewart. Building on the emotional aftermath of the first season's shocking finale, the composers crafted a score rooted in loss, resilience, and hope. Familiar themes return transformed by what the characters have endured, while new characters introduce fresh musical ideas that expand the sound of the series. Drawing from the rich sonic palette established in Season 1, including vintage and modern synthesisers, drum machines, choir, orchestra, guitars, solo voices, and percussion, The Newton Brothers push the music into bold new territory while honouring the legacy of the beloved animated classic. The result is a score that can be dark and intimate, thrilling and heroic, heartbreaking and inspiring, often all within the same episode. I also spoke to them about their work on the hit Marvel Disney+ Original series, "Daredevil: Born Again", including them sharing what the difference is between working on live-action to animated Marvel shows.

On the evening of Friday, 14th August 2026, Disney takes over the Honda Centre for a two-hour-long Disney Entertainment Showcase event. Guests attending the showcase can expect surprise celebrity appearances, exclusive first looks at upcoming films and series, exciting new announcements, and unforgettable musical performances. The star-studded presentation will celebrate the stories audiences love while offering an exclusive preview of what's coming next across Disney's movies, television, games, and live stage productions. In previous years, we've seen many new films and shows announced to be heading to Disney+ in the future, especially in the run-up to the release of Disney+ in 2019 and then again in 2022 and 2024. And it's important to note that this is a two-hour presentation covering not just Disney+, but also the theatrical movies, video games and even its live stage productions.  So this will drastically reduce the amount of time given to each project, and it does mean we are very likely to see far fewer Disney+ Original announcements than in recent D23 events. However, that doesn't mean we won't be getting anything!   So here are my predictions for what could be revealed for Disney+ during the Entertainment Showcase panel.
