A place where reality and comedy combine.
Alright,. folks, I'm going to dispense with the pleasantries and just get this out of the way now. If you are expecting some type of plant-based news update or a lighthearted entry into topics that are on the same wavelength, sorry, but you'll have to tune into another episode for that. I have been away for awhile tending to real life and it has spilled over into this project. So, here we are! I hope you enjoy my semi-return! TUNE IN NOW!!
Greetings to everyone and happy 2022! Last year was tough; really tough. This year is off to a really shaky start so, everyone needs to buckle in and dig deep because the worst may yet be around the corner. Don't think it's all bad, though; I give you a little boost with news from the plant-based world and there is always something fun to talk about in it from KFC FINALLY releasing Beyond Meat nuggets to what amazing things kelp can do for us. Unfortunately, this all comes attached with some sad news; this may be my last episode, and I go into why with this segment, but that doesn't mean I am going away for good or if I have even decided to hang it up. Things must change and I want to thank everyone that has supported me in this endeavor so far; you people are AWESOME in ways I can't explain. On that note, there is a lot of information to absorb this time around so, what are you all waiting for? TUNE IN NOW!!
Hello to all my fellow leaf lickers out there! November is here which means Plantsgiving is right around the corner for you and me. Alright alright, not everyone celebrates with a vegan faux turkey day like me so, for all you that baste turkeys and do the traditional thing, I say eat, drink and have a happy upcoming Thanksgiving! This month, to kick off the inevitable consumption of mass quantities, I talk about my time at the first annual Vegandale festival in Los Angeles this past October and some of the vendors that I tried. I also bring up some upcoming products in the plant-based fast food world, celebrities being involved in vegan activism and the COP26 Summit complete with my two cents on the whole affair. As always, there is tons of fun-filled information in this segment with lots of surprises and tons of ranting so, crack open a brew, microwave that crappy freezer burned vegan burrito that has been in your fridge for four months and TUNE IN NOW!!
Greetings, creeps! Your ol' pal has a delightful treat in store for you! Do you like ghouls? Ghosts? Things that go bump in the night? Maybe the unknown tickles your funny bone! We have lots of the strange and unusual to go 'round because, I myself am, strange and unusual. Maybe specters, spirits and monsters aren't what you're craving? Maybe the REAL monsters are more your speed. I have that covered as well, freaks! You do not want to miss this spooktabular episode! TUNE IN NOW!!!
Greetings, ghoulish ones! October is a special time of year where you gear up for all things autumn and scary. What better way than to kick things off by talking about the upcoming season with a good ol' fashioned segment complete with rants about everything pumpkin flavored and why the super rich are assholes. I pull no punches in this segment letting the fur fly no pun intended. Oh, I cover the news, don't worry, but if you were expecting your run-of-the-mill reading of what is new in the plant-based world, you got another thing coming. The gloves are off, folks, and you better be ready for some pre-Halloween vegan rage!! Well? what are you waiting for? TUNE IN NOW!!
What's up, guys? It is October once again which means Oktoberfest and Halloween! This year, there is no staying indoors due to COVID; anything goes! To kick off the month, I brought back one of my oldest guests who is passionate, knowledgeable and an all-around smart lady. Jennifer Golden, who runs The Vreamery in Paso Robles, rejoined the program where we catch up while train and car sounds in the background lighten the mood. We also talk about how Bill Gates may be on the verge of great things with lab grown meat, why the dairy free cheese industry needs to not use casein in the new stretchable dairy free cheese and all the fascinating ways that veganism has shaped our way of thinking of the past few years. I thoroughly enjoyed having this fantastic woman back on and there is so much more to listen to so, what are you waiting for? TUNE IN NOW!! Website - https://thevreamery.com/
Hello to all my plant-based patrons! We're kickin' it with another episode showcasing everything current in the glorious vegan world. I have quite the tales to tell from Babybel releasing vegan cheese to your favorite frozen breakfast disc Eggo pairing with Gardein to make chick'n and waffles. There is also a lot of news regarding Michelin Star chefs making a push with more plant-based menus and how they are using more sustainability methods to lure in customers that are on the more upper-class scale. Be prepared for an epic discussion near the end of this broadcast as it is one of the more hard-hitting rants I have done. Tons of fun, information and unfiltered musings ahead so, what are you waiting for? TUNE IN NOW!!
Hello to all you plant-based patrons out there! For your esteemed host, it has been one hell of a month and, despite my best efforts, I was unable to secure a guest. That doesn't mean I don't have a back-up, though. I figured I would go in the archives and pull up a segment I recorded on my other podcast a few years ago that seemed to fit the mold of this program which is community and my love of beer. Excuse the poor audio and light editing; this was back when I was just starting. The interview was top notch, though, showcasing a very talented man by the name of James Claus who is one of the partners and head brewmaster of 3 Disciples Brewing in Santa Rosa, CA. This is easily one of my favorite guest encounters because of how passionate this man is about his career and all the insightful information he has regarding the industry. We discuss crowler vs. growler, if the industry is facing a bubble and what it takes to own your own brewery. Those of you expecting a vegan segment will have to wait, but those of you who love brew talk and just happen to be vegan, you're going to love this. I hope to have James back on at some point, but, until then, TUNE IN NOW!!
Greetings, everyone! It's that time once again where we take a trip around the world to see what is happening in the plant-based world and put some smiles on your faces knowing that Earth isn't completely messed up and that there are those out there trying to make a difference. Of course, not all is unicorns and rainbows, such as Nestle trying to muscle into the "sustainable" market as will be discussed. However, for every corporate glutton out there attempting to make a mockery of veganism in the name of profits, there are independent movers and shakers really making headway to produce quality products in the name of truly good intentions for the planet. From the UK to the US, this week covers it all and lots of surprises thrown in for good measure. You definitely don't want to miss this exciting segment. TUNE IN NOW!!
Greetings one and all! Summer is in full swing and that means it is HOT HOT HOT! Speaking of which, I have the extremely talented recording artist Arizona Lindsey returning this week to discuss in depth her album The Process which was just released and her take on what it means to her as well as my interpretations on the songs are. As a strong advocate of mental health, Ari is always striving to improve herself and the state of mind of others and it shows in her songs. We talk about this, how veganism is in her neck of the woods and a little bit of everything in between. Always a blast having her on the show so, you don't want to miss this episode. TUNE IN NOW!!
Happy summer to you! I hope all of you out there are staying cool because this may be one of the hottest seasons on record. Forest fires are making their rounds, but so are vegan innovators, restaurant owners and conservationists fighting to keep this sludge ball we call Earth from completely self-destructing. That being said, this time around, I have a tons of different news lined up from Jaden Smith & Ariana Grande thinking they can offer plant-based merchandise while lining their pockets to a revelation that sharks may be the key to controlling climate change. Near the end, for all your science lovers out there, you'll definitely want to stick around because there is a surprise recording from a well respected expert in the field of astrophysics that may shock and surprise you. Don't worry, though, because there is still plenty of laughs and great planetary news that you'll be really excited to learn about so, what are you waiting for? TUNE IN NOW!!
Happy Belated 4th of July! I hope everyone was safe and had lots of holiday fun, but all good things must come to an end, going back to work and all that jazz. To get you through the week, I have rejoining me music producer and musician Here On Mars to talk about his latest album "Allein" that is a definite tribute to classic, psychedelic and grunge bands alike with a twisted galaxy feel. We also discuss how independent artists have become more and more overshadowed by the industry and what the future holds for those struggling to make it in this modern age. The audio quality might not be the best due to technical difficulties, but the content is definitely there so, do yourselves a favor and start off your Monday the right way by TUNING IN NOW!! I have returned! After a very hectic month, and recovering from surgery, I bring you new plant-based information from around the world. This week, I discuss what is happening with Burger King and their epic leap into veganism, what some celebrities are doing to reduce their carbon footprint and how one company is shaping the future of vegan cheese. This is one of my longest segments chalk full of hard hitting knowledge guaranteed to grab your attention and get you talking at the water cooler. What are you waiting for? TUNE IN NOW!!
Another month, another round of plant-based stuff that you need to know about! This week, I discuss everything from Starbucks making the vegan push in their product line-up to some of the more less reputable organizations like Tyson trying to pretend to be sustainable. I also take a look at some of the happenings going on with celebrities such as Kris Jenner making a move in organic beauty products and what states are making waves by tending to the well being of animals. A lot of information to absorb this time around so, do yourself a favor and TUNE IN NOW!!
Greetings one and all! This week, I have a bit of a throwback for you back when I was rocking my old podcast. Alright, I'm going to level with you; I had a rough month and couldn't secure a guest, ok? Cut me some slack! That doesn't mean I don't have a back up plan and that back up plan is Tommy Marudi who is the owner and operator of The Middle Feast food truck! He won season five of The Great Food Truck Race which is no easy feat! If you've seen that show, you will know how hard it is to secure being one of the finalists let alone winning the whole thing. We discuss his time on the show, his business running a food truck, his restaurant background and everything in between. Definitely want to check this out, folks. TUNE IN NOW!!
Hello one and all! Another glorious month packed full of plant-based bulletins guarantee to get your noggin workin'! This time around, I get a bit introspective and rant-like, but make no mistake, my words come from a place of genuine concern for my world. As always, I add my usual verbal spice and lay on a flair for the dramatic soap box in the form of celebrities posing as vegans, Joe Biden's plan and what my take on what people can do to further grasp the idea of being vegan. What more do you need to know? TUNE IN NOW!!
Happy April Fool's! No, I won't tease you about going back to meat or suddenly becoming a full-blown carnivore because I hate animals. Although that would be fun, I like to keep things as straight forward as I can which is why I am excited to have my first medical expert on the show. Dr. Stephanie Peacock is a former professional swimmer that decided to go into the field of chiropractic medicine and help those who need specialized treatment with their overall well being. Recently hired at The TrueNorth Health Center in Santa Rosa, she works alongside some of the nation's most sought after experts in the field of acupuncture, reflexology and water fasting. We discuss her background, what it means to be a chiropractor, combining plant-based nutrition with new age medicine and some misconceptions on what it takes to become certified in her field. There is a lot of valuable information here for those looking to join the vegan lifestyle and for those just curious about it. You won't want to miss this so, TUNE IN NOW!!
Another month, another round of plant-based news! This month, there is quite a lot of buzz revolving around the fast food world and how the vegan market is starting to encroach on it. Slowly, but surely, our eating habits come closer to being meat and dairy free. Is there a hidden agenda to it all? Maybe. There is plenty to hear and learn, but that is a small piece of the news; we still have Starbucks, UK grocery chains making dietary changes and much much more! What are you waiting for? TUNE IN NOW!!
Another month, another podcast! This month, I have my friend Here On Mars rejoining me to discuss pretty much everything under the sun from conspiracy theories, cults, Art Bell, why veganism makes sense to mental health, delving into the psyche of serial killers and other juicy topics that I am sure you'll be on the edge of your seat to hear about. He may be a producer and very talented musician, but this guy knows his stuff so, if you want to start your month, week and Monday off the right way stimulating your mind, you definitely want to check out our crazy conversation. What are you waiting for? TUNE IN NOW!! Also, be sure to check out his Youtube channel & Bandcamp links below where he has his merchandise and music on sale! Youtube Bandcamp Spotify
Greetings one and all; it's time for more vegan news! This month has lots and lots of uplifting bulletins from all over the world from IKEA to Starbucks; all the brands you know and don't know that are making a difference in the plant-based market. Definitely want to check into this one, folks. TUNE IN NOW!!!
Welcome one and all! I strive to always get the very best for my listeners and this month's guest is definitely in that category. Edyn Blair is a prolific adult entertainer starring in numerous pornographic films as well as nude modeling. We discuss the in's and out's of the adult industry, some of the pitfalls of being a performer in a virtual world and how the landscape has changed over the years forcing some performers to turn to websites like Onlyfans in these trying times. Aside from her illustrious career, she is also an accomplished make-up artist and is passionate about DIY projects. With the help of her husband, her current undertaking is converting a school bus into a rolling whiskey distillery! I had a great time talking to this sexy, smart and accomplished woman and I know you will all enjoy hearing our chat. TUNE IN NOW!! Hello all you beautiful vegans out there! My schedule, as of 2021, will be a new guest segment at the beginning of every month AND a news segment on the 15th of every month. If some of you aren't familiar, I basically run down what has been happening in the plant-based world for the past few weeks and share my opinion on each piece of information. It is always fun and always informative so, JOIN ME AND TUNE IN!
Happy 2021 everyone! It has been hell for everyone this past year, but hopefully things will get better and the future will bring more fortune and good health to us all. To kick off the new year, I have a very special guest joining me. Arizona Lindsey is a musician, actress and model who is nailing it up with her songs about mental health as well as covers of her favorite artists to get everyone through tough times. Her journey is one that has seen success, failure and lots of struggle, but making music is all about the journey and how you handle the ride and this talented woman is cruising towards a great career. Apart from being a very talented vocalist, Arizona is also a fellow vegan which we talk at great lengths about, but we also dig deep into our own psyche embarrassing ourselves through stories and anecdotes that is sure to leave you smiling and laughing. Jump start your 2021 the right way by giving us a listen, commenting by letting me know what you think of the new intro and outro for the program and TUNING IN NOW!!! What a year it has been and by that I mean thank the flying spaghetti monster that it is over. We're not out of the woods yet, though, but things are looking up albeit at a very slow snails pace. Gotta be optimistic in these dire, uncertain times. Getting down to it, I deliver to you the latest year-end vegan news for you to digest and plant-based articles showcasing positive aspects of the plant-based world that is to come. This is for one and all vegan or no so, if you're curious about what the vegan movement has in store for next year, as well as my two-cents, then join me in ringing in 2021 on this very unusual new year's eve and TUNE IN NOW!!
Micro-dosing. Hemp talk. Fungi. Even weed. These are the topics that Shadi Ramey is most passionate about. An author, chef, professor and proprietor of all things sustainable, not to mention the release of her book on all hemp paper called "Hemp Can Change the World," Shadi is one fascinating, far out woman and we talk about it all, but the time flew so quickly that we didn't get the chance to go into too much detail on any one topic, but that just means the conversations never stuck on one focus for too long! I could discuss ways to shape and mold this floating rock with this incredible person for hours and someday we'll properly cover everything, but, in the meantime, enjoy our in-depth back-and-forth for awhile and start your week off the right way. Greetings all you beautiful plant-based people out there! On this program, we strive to bring you the best whether it be stellar guests or hard-hitting educational material, but sometimes, you also have to bring the hellfire…and Brimstone! Yes, my guest is the man and the myth Will Kaye, aka Brim, the host of Grindhouse Radio which is a vastly syndicated show that airs all over the world. He is also a very prolific public figure that has action figures, portraits, comics and other licensed likenesses of his brand that you can find all over the internet as well as his publishing company, Hound Comics, that produces Brimstone and the Borderhounds among other great independently produced titles. I was so happy to have this accomplished charismatic individual on to talk about everything from vegan vs. meat, his time as a professional wrestler, pro-tips on how to gain a better podcasting audience, some of the struggles of being a host and everything in-between. We had a great conversation and, for a change, someone else does most of the talking! Sadly, there were a lot of topics that we couldn't get into due to time constraints, but, trust me, he will be back on very soon so we can remedy that! You do NOT want to miss this segment and be sure to check out his radio show that airs every Thursday 7 P.M. EST/4 P.M. PST wherever you get your podcasts. Welcome to an all new format of The Valley Vegan Podcast where I interview on another planet! Nah, just kidding. Wouldn't it be great if that were possible, though? The next best thing is my old friend from Twitter who produces his own beats, plays guitar AND sings going by the moniker Here On Mars. This man is really something else and we cover everything from music, how pop culture has warped our brains, Spoony (yes, that reviewer guy) and, more importantly, his history with music. There is definitely a lot of grey matter floating around on this upload and you seriously need to check it out to believe it. TUNE IN NOW!!!

Welcome to the Valley Vegan Chillcast! I know I've been doing electronica and dubstep, but I dig all kinds of music. Hell, I grew up on classic rock, alternative and grunge so, it should be no surprise that I create a playlist featuring some of those said genres most prolific artists that shred, harmonize and tear it up with their lyrics. Non-stop kickassery with this segment and I guarantee you'll dig it. There are even some lesser known artists on here that don't get the respect or attention that they deserve so, if you like what you heard, please support them and give their other tunes a chance. The newest segment of The Valley Vegan Chillcast is LIVE! Previously, I have been giving you some of the newest dubstep, electronic and a journey through each genre in the past decades. However, I wanted to do something a bit different. Growing up, I played on all different types of video game systems from Nintendo and Playstation to Sega Genesis and Xbox. When I grew up, I started getting into PC games as well. The things that stood out to me were not the stories or the characters, but the music. The soundtrack of a game makes or breaks the experience. It sends you to a place outside of your reality and gives you goosebumps, nostalgia and even a majestic sense of wonder to explore. It encapsulates everything and nothing and you're never the same again. This week, I bring you some of my childhood tunes from the games I played from retro to modern from all walks of electronic life. There is definitely a lot of emotion floating around these tracks and, as always, there is something for everyone guaranteed. TUNE IN NOW!! Sure, mellow is great and all, but every now and then you need sounds that rattle your brain, shake up your senses and make your ears beg for mercy. Shout out to all medical healthcare professionals; this segment is for YOU. When the pandemic hit peeks of craziness, it was all of you at the forefront. When people are flooding the hospitals and waiting rooms, you are taking care of business. As the madness dies down and we slowly descend to normalcy at some point, it will be all of you that hold fast and continue to provide well-being, care and medical services to the masses. There will be further insanity, people, and it is high time we all realized who has our back; let's have theirs as well. I get on my soapbox for this one, folks, and it is for a worthy cause. TUNE IN NOW!!!
Welcome to the Valley Vegan jam session! I know it has been a rough few weeks for everyone and I feel you on the isolation blues, but fear not! I have you covered to bring your spirits up and get you out of your funk; at least for a little bit. This week, I thought I'd bring out the beats and get some of you moving, grooving and exposed to some tunes that you may or may not have heard before from artists that work with synthesizers, keyboards and other tools to create some sick tracks. This is my first attempt at creating a podcast playlist, and I took a lot of pains to get some good ones, so, tell me what you think by leaving me a message in the comment sections, messaging me on Instagram or drop me an e-mail; I love hearing from my listeners! Keeping up with the latest in coronavirus news, I have some very interesting articles that I looked through and it has come to my attention that the American people just weren't aware of what was in store for them. We may have been able to stave this off. I talk about how that could have been done. I also get to news that relates to how the virus is affecting us as a society and what kinds of impacts it has made to media and what YOU as Americans should know regarding wages and your economic security. This is one for the books, folks. TUNE IN NOW!!
For those of you that have "self-quarantined" and are limiting your social interaction, do what you have to do, but don't put yourselves in such a state that you avoid all human contact thanks to what you read and hear. I recorded this to hopefully alleviate your concerned about the COVID-19 virus by slamming home some logic into your heads, jump start your common sense and get some of you back on the path to reality. Of course, if that isn't your cup of tea, I understand, but if you need that boost, TUNE IN NOW!!
It has been almost two years since I had Jennifer Golden of The Vreamery on my program and since then, I have switched gears from hosting a podcast that rants and haas lots of unfiltered social commentary to a program that deals almost exclusively with vegan news and guests. Having this wonderful woman back on almost feels like being home because, since we last talked, we have both grown in our ideals and learned tons of new information that has shaped our perception of the world for the better. Not only that, but she is now on the precipice of finally opening up her shop at the Paso Walk in Paso Robles! I couldn't be more excited for her and I had to get her back on the re-vamped show. Keep in mind that this was over the phone and I was recording in less than stellar conditions so, if you can make it past all the technical things, then this is definitely a segment that you won't want to miss. TUNE IN NOW!!
This is a throwback to my Word to the Wise Podcast days when I had a lot of different guests on. At the time of this recording, I was new to the vegan thing and this lady who I met in San Luis Obispo at a farmer's market was selling this plant-based cheese that looked delicious. I immediately liked it and her so, I gave her my card and we started talking shortly after I got home. One thing led to another and she ended up on my podcast! Jennifer Golden has come so far since then, but I wanted to share this with my audience to demonstrate how smart, genuine and talented one person can be. Having taken lessons at a renowned vegan artisan culinary school, that is now sadly defunct, Jennifer honed her craft and has produced amazing vegan cheeses that will make your jaw drop. This was one of my favorite recordings and I'm pleased to share it with you all. TUNE IN NOW!!
Have I got one hell of an episode for you this week. I tackle everything from Beyond Meat and vegan fast food to celebrities and vegan feminists. Yes, vegan feminists exist and there may be a conflict of interest there. When it comes to the betterment of humankind, you know how I feel about most movements. Some are good, but most are just people blowing hot air that produce limited results. Hey, don't worry, we got laughs thrown in as well; it isn't all serious. Around here, it never is! TUNE IN NOW!!!
Oh my, what a week I had! To cap it off, I got some great vegan news to share on top of a super cool recipe any beginning vegan cook can make! To end the episode, I take a hard look at our growing "gen z" and how they see the status of our world's problems and how NOT to approach them. There is information here that you all need to hear so, TUNE IN NOW!!
I hope everyone had a great weekend! This week, I cover tidbits in the vegan world plus I discuss the possibility of extending veganism to convicts. Yep, controversial stuff going on this time around. You don't want to miss this one. TUNE IN NOW!!
So much vegan news to cover this time around, not to mention I get down to discussing one rich man's journey to "redemption" followed by another who wants to do the right thing; question is does he know what he is saying? TUNE IN TO FIND OUT!!
What a wild weekend! This week, I take a trip up north to Sonoma County to attend the 16th annual release of Pliny the Younger! Created by Russian River Brewing, this is one of the most coveted beers in all of the craft beer world. Am I in for a ride? Think there might be a hell of a lot in store for me? TUNE IN TO FIND OUT!!
What a game! Was hoping the 49era would win, but they "dropped the ball" so to speak. I go over some of the highlights of the game and the commercials associated with the event. I also bring you the latest in the plant-based world including an update to the dairy free cheese world. Lots of good info going on in this segment. TUNE IN NOW!!
What a week it has been and what a way to end it with the death of Kobe Bryant. I am not a sports person anymore so, this man dying doesn't mean much to me. I have my opinion on his passing and it may come off as harsh, but it is more of a reflection on life and how some people act like it is such a huge deal that he is no longer with us. I also cover some big news in the artificial meat world with an unlikely financial backer plus some other equally exciting articles. You won't want to miss this episode. TUNE IN NOW!!
