This episode also provides practical strategies to build and nurture supportive friendships - emphasizing the power of vulnerability and engaging in local/community based activities. It doesn't stop there, we offer actionable steps to overcome challenges that hold us back as we make and keep our friends. 2022 was my 8th return to Burning Man and my 4th year camping and building with DISTRIKT. It's always a lot of blood, sweat, and beers being part of such a massive camp that provides so much. It is rewarding in ways I can't describe despite this year being particularly difficult. As for my set at DISTRIKT, I decided to go with a darker style than usual and the crowd seemed to love it. I wanted to represent the sound from my Shadow Wulf record label and I included a few grooves from the label. It was a blissful experience for me to see all the happy faces getting down in the heat with me. I hope you all enjoy this recording over and over again. I am looking forward to seeing you all in the dust once again 2023! ~Aaron Jacobs // Follow Aaron Jacobs @aaronjacobswulfpack facebook.com/aaronjacobswulfpack instagram.com/djaaronjacobs/ // Follow DISTRIKT NonProfit distrikt.org @distrikt-sound facebook.com/DISTRIKTorg instagram.com/distrikt_org DONATE - distrikt.org/donate // Follow DISTRIKT Sound Record Label distriktsound.com @distrikt-sound facebook.com/distriktsound instagram.com/distriktsound Photo by Delaney Rhoads

When Augustine Tang's father passed away, Augustine decided to inherit his taxi medallion – the license that had allowed his father to drive a yellow taxi cab in New York City for decades. But the medallion came with a $530,000 debt trap and years of struggling to escape it. Augustine's friend Kenny, a fellow taxi cab driver, committed suicide. So did several other drivers who were crushed under the weight of these impossible debts. In hopes of preventing another death, Tang joined a push by the local taxi drivers' union, to campaign for debt relief. And eventually, city resistance to worker demands culminated in a 15-day hunger strike to convince City Hall that immigrant taxi drivers deserved a fair deal. The drivers' struggles for livable working conditions showed how political power doesn't just come down to votes. It's a reminder how strong collective will can be, especially for those often silenced and ignored by our imperfect democracy. We are naturally storytellers and listeners. We connect through stories that deliver an emotional punch. For your current coaching clients, they can deepen your relationships, increasing success. For your potential clients, they can increase your memorability and attraction. Videos that incorporate storytelling work incredibly well for this. But what if you're camera shy? Uncomfortable with being vulnerable? What if you feel you're no good or don't have any stories worth telling? In this episode, I talk with Aaron Jacobs, CEO at Storied Coaching and OMH Creative about the power of stories in coaching. We discuss how stories are all around us, you just need to recognize and apply them. One of the best applications is by creating videos. It's really not as scary as it sounds, I promise. Aaron shares the uplifting fact that making stories more impactful and memorable can be learned. He even has a free guide to help you choose the right video equipment. I urge you to give it a try. You truly can uplevel your coaching through engaging storytelling, both on camera and off. “It's not a talent to get good being on camera, it's actually just a set of skills that anyone can learn.” – Aaron Jacobs What You'll Learn You already have a story Building confidence on camera Jarring your sense of self Marketing through vulnerable connection Directing your brain to recognize stories Moving from default stories 3 ways to up your camera game The “Wonderbra” of production Contact Info and Recommended Resources Connect with Aaron Jacobs FREE Ultimate Video Gear Guide: https://bit.ly/UGearGuide Learn from Aaron: The Storied Life Coaching Podcast StoriedCoaching OMHCreative StoriedTeams Linkedin - Aaron Instagram - Aaron / Storied Coaching Instagram - OMH Creative Linkedin - OMH Creative About Aaron (in his own words)… No Risk, No New Story. No New Story, No Change. I have completely re-written my story, stepped into a new version of my life, and now I know exactly how to help others do it as well. I can help you create a new story for your life too. I have helped hundreds of professionals learn how to identify current stories in their life that are holding them back from reaching their full personal and professional potential. People just like you who felt burned out and stuck. I lead an amazing team that helps businesses sell more by learning how to tell compelling stories and differentiate themselves by using the camera. Because you should be inviting your audience to engage with you. Encouraging them to laugh. Helping them feel a connection with their own personal identity that makes their world better than before they started watching you and hearing about what you offer. Then they become your evangelists. They help you achieve your business goals. You can learn to tell your audience a story worth listening to. Do it. Do it now. I am happy to help. DISTRIKT has become my mainstay the past few years around Black Rock City. Being on the build crew has really taught me a lot and I have really connected with my DISTRIKT family. Everyone kicks so much ass to make DISTRIKT ignite for one glorious week a year, all the effort is gratefully appreciated. I count my blessings every time I play and this year I had a nice Monday afternoon set. Here is a nice blend of funky-weird-retro-grooves to get you moving in time. ~Aaron soundcloud.com/aaronjacobswulfpack

There are many critical factors that must be considered when drafting or reviewing a proposed subrogation release. For example, many insurers are reluctant to agree to any indemnity, hold harmless, or confidentiality provision in a release, which are commonly requested by a settling defendant. On this episode of Subro Sense, Aaron Jacobs with guest speaker, Matthew Freiman of Craig/is Ltd, will explore potential difficulties that may be presented in a subrogation release and recommendations on how to approach and resolve release issues. *This podcast has been hosted by Butler, and is not intended to, nor does it, create the attorney/client privilege between our host, guest, or contributors, and any listener for any reason. If you ask anyone on the playa about DISTRIKT, they immediately smile and say, best day party on the playa! I am proud to be with a kamp of snarky folks who work hard to deliver a full bar 6 days a week and with a music line up that is always on point. I was on the build knew this year and now know a bit more of what it takes to get everything dialed in. A lot of blood, sweat, and middle fingers get this all done. There isn't room for sensitive Sally's and that's why I fit in. I am most grateful for my involvement with DISTRIKT and this year I got to play on my Burnthday, Saturday, September 1st with so many of my awesome friends there with me. The crowd was gathering for my good friend, colleague, and badass DJ Ben Annand and I was ecstatic to follow his flow. I am very happy with this mix and I invite you to enjoy the journey of sounds and moods. Love and respect! ~Aaron Jacobs @aaronjacobswulfpack Tracklist: Today is Forever - L V Super Bell (Matthias Tanzmann Remix) - Philip Bader, Re.you Temporale - Markus Klee Funky Track (Powda Remix) - Powda, George Smeddles Stanblow - DJ Lion, Markus Klee Play and Stop - Rico Martinez Normal Kids - Natch Ikandi - Green Velvet, Alexis Raphael Put Your Sunglasses Off - DJ lion, Jose Diez Miss You feat. Building DISTRIKT at Burning Man is a lot of work and it is a year long process to raise funds and prepare for one week of shenanigans. I am always happy to help out whenever I can. The DISTRIKT BM LA Fundraiser at Union was bananas and I was happy to play an opening set in the Noise Room to warm up the long night ahead. I started slow and chill and built up the energy to allow Dance Spirit to get things going. Thanks for listening and especially thanks for supporting your DISTRIKT family. - @aaronjacobswulfpack
"Here is my set recorded from DISTRIKT 2017, Tuesday 3 pm. It was a record hot Burn this year and the day already blazing. With 10 minutes before my set, a mob of clouds rolled in to save the day. The crowd started filling in quickly. I kept it weird, deep, dark, light, techy, minimal with a splash of dub, and always fucking groovy. The Funkworks Funktion One's are always a pleasure to play on, especially with Cody Kane dialing the sound. And the stage this year was so dope. Camping with DISTRIKT was an awesome experience. The amount of energy, blood, sweat, and love that goes into this camp is incredible. Much respect to my DISTRIKT family. You are all crazy and I love you all! I am blessed to share my passion with everyone. This year was full of challenges and many rewards. This moment was one of the highlights of my existence." @aaronjacobswulfpack
Welcome to the 5 Deep Guest Mix, a spin-off series that invites local and international DJs, Producers, and Artists to share 5 of their favorite new tracks that are emerging in the House music scene today! No tricks, no extras, just 5 great new tracks that my guests feel that you should hear, feel, and fall in love with. Now, let’s go 5 Deep with… Aaron Jacobs is one of my Wülfpack brethren from the depths of the musical mecca known as Los Angeles, although we were frequently found with our pack under the desert skies, DJing and dancing till all hours of the morning! His style has grown to transcend the usual Deep & Tech House worlds, as Aaron leads his dance floors down a rabbit hole on dank, melodic, minimal, shamanistic voyage that cleanses the soul. Tracklist: 1) Rampa - The Touch [Keinemusik] 2) Eddy Romero - Infusion (Aaron Jacobs Remix) [Lonely Owl Records] 3) Joeski - Roots [Poker Flat Recordings] 4) Ellroy - Sentinel [Suara] 5) Tim Engelhardt - The Myths Of You [Poker Flat Recordings] Aaron Jacobs Wulfpack/Liquid Grooves/Lonely Owl www.facebook.com/aaronjacobswulfpack www.soundcloud.com/aaronjacobswulfpack Aaron Jacobs' love for music has run deep through his soul since he first heard his parents records. Growing up, he couldn't stop discovering a vast array of musical greats spanning the genres. As a DJ, Aaron has dabbled in hip-hop, drum n bass, breaks, tech house, deep house, techno, and anything with a bouncy minimal groove to dance to. Aaron is an underground gem who manages Wülfpack with a label mate Jamie Schwabl in Los Angeles. This mix explores some of his current favorite flavors that he has been playing out on his busy DJing schedule.

Aaron Jacobs, originally from the enchanted high mountain deserts of Santa Fe, New Mexico is easily one of the most adaptable DJs around. His thirst for hard to find grooves became an obsession while collecting vinyl records. Aaron has played on many platforms that have molded his range of style and tempo over the years. This gave him the ability to control the mood while staying true to his unique flavor. Currently based in Los Angeles, he is a co-founder of Wülfpack Records. Aaron and the pack have quickly become a SoCal staple in the underground community. Experience the beautiful, deep, groovy, and slightly dirty dance floor he creates that will keep you asking for more. Tracklist: Existe feat.
