“Asshole is the right word…” - Steve, on Paul Blart's attitude toward hotel staff On this week's SBE episode, we welcome back our good friend, Ben Worcester of Hooked on TJ Hooker to chat about the absolutely abysmal comedy sequel, Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2! Why did they insist on making this guy so cripplingly pathetic? Why can't we do better by Neal McDonough in Hollywood? Were people holding their breath over whether the Sandman would cameo? Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 stars Kevin James, Raini Rodriguez, Daniela Alonso, Eduardo Verástegui, David Henrie, Gary Valentine, Ana Gasteyer, Nicholas Turturro, Loni Love, Shelly Desai, Vic Dibitetto, D.B. This week on Just Jack & Will, Sean & Eric employ a new attitude for a new year as they break down “Terms Of Employment.” They talk about the real workplace training that inspired this story, stage combat, reminisce about just how great Gregory Hines was, and Eric shows off his epic warm-up tongue twister. Then, they welcome character actor extraordinaire Bob Clendenin to talk about shooting multiple takes of the training video, getting a compliment from Jim Burrows, and why it's not such a bad thing to be typecast. Okay, so we're in that head space.Have a question about Will & Grace, especially Season 2? We want to hear them! Starting April 22, 1935, and again in May 2022 the strip was adapted into The Amazing Interplanetary Adventures of Flash Gordon, a 26-episode weekly radio serial. I talk with Bob Clendenin about his work on the comedy web series "Vice Force Action Squad". Find it here. We also discuss his thoughts on finding a comfortable place in Hollywood while facing ruthless competition. Bob has an interesting perspective on the importance of staying grounded and true to his convictions and goals within acting and entertainment, and on how to handle debate with people who have opposing political views on Twitter. Bob Clendenin has appeared on numerous TV shows and films and had recurring roles on two of Bill Lawrence's TV shows, Scrubs and Cougar Town. Episode Reviewed: "Murder at the Webb Ranch"Created by Nancy Hower and John Lehr Quick Draw was one of Hulu's first forays into original programming, though a large portion of the show is unscripted and improvised. The show follows Harvard graduate Sheriff John Henry Hoyle (John Lehr) and his attempt to gain acceptance into the town of Great Bend, Kansas as well as convince the uneducated townsfolk of the benefits of his learned "forensics sciences" to help solved various crimes commit by the Cole Younger gang. His deputy Eli Brocias (Nick Brown), unrequited lover Honey Shaw (Allison Dunbar), and undertaker Vernon Shank (portrayed by frequent Hower and Lehr collaborator Bob Clendenin) offer little to less help. After the review, the boys are treated to an interview with co-creator John Lehr himself. Download. Listen. Enjoy.
GENERATION GAB! It's the show where a millennial (Chase O'Donnell) and a gen X (John Lehr) talk about the differences of their generations. If for no other reason than to make each other laugh. You asked for it, and we got him. This week we have the very talented and hilarious Bob Clendenin as a guest. He lies right on the cusp of Gen X and Baby Boomer, but technically is a boomer. Obviously we discuss the ever so popular 'Ok Boomer' phrase but quickly transition into John and Bob's time on the hit show 'Ten Items Or Less' together. Here's a clip of them dancing on set... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dRwpA00TPgWe gab about our best and worst 9-5 jobs and even do some improvisation. Yup. You heard correct. It's a fun ep. As usual, please comment and subscribe! We love hearing from you!
This is our second visit with the ever-entertaining Bob Clendenin, the guy you don't know, but when you see his picture, you go, "Oh, yeah, that guy!" On his first visit, we did not get a chance to talk about his adventures as a giant nose. And we talked a lot more about improv and discovered he is a woodworker and makes a mean Adirondack chair! Enjoy another fun, funny, and oh so interesting 20-ish minutes. And if you haven't heard the first interview yet, click here.
Bob Clendenin joins host Elias on this week's podcast. You have seen him on Scrubs as Dr. Paul Zeltzer, Cougar Town as the wacky neighbor that was always outside by the window Dr. Tom Gazelian, and the famous Zoltan scene in Dude Where's My Car. We talk about his career in the acting world, living in Australia and being a little league coach for his son's teams.
