Welcome back to Nicholas Cage November and this week we're discussing the Michael Bay action 1997 film Con Air.It's the story of a former Army Ranger who accidentally killed a man while protecting his wife, who has become eligible for parole, and ends up on a plane full of the worst criminals in the world. Featuring a stellar cast of Nicholas Cage, John Cusack, John Malkovich, Steve Buscemi, Ving Rhames, Dave Chapelle, and Danny Trejo. It's Michael Bay unleashed, so there's plenty of explosions, slow motion hair, and Nick Cage's deep fried southern accent that has to be experienced to be understood. What are your thoughts on the film? Next week, we continue with our Nicholas Cage November with Pig. As always, you can reach us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Did you miss the video premier of this episode? Writer/director Glenn Danzig has returned to the silver screen with his new western horror film Death Rider in the House of Vampires! In Episode 53 of the Lodgecast we attended the LA premiere of Danzig's directorial debut Verotika (2019) with Danzig in the house for a Q&A. This time it was a more subdued affair as we traveled deep into the San Fernando Valley to the Regency Theatres Van Nuys Plant 16 to catch the last screening of Death Rider with an audience of about four other people. We were very curious as to how Danzig would follow up his hilariously puzzling debut Verotika. We shall let you know! Devon Sawa plays Death Rider, and the film also stars Julian Sands, Kim Director, Ashley Wisdom, Danny Trejo, Eli Roth, and Glenn Danzig himself!

Everyone knows the tragic story of Bruce Lee's son Brandon dying during the production of the first Crow movie. Well the even sadder news was they kept making Crow movies and boy did they end up being terrible. This one stars Edward Furlong, stars might be stretching the term, he is the guy that stands in front of the camera and delivers the lines that are attributed to the character designated as the Crow. David Boreanez is here too, as is Tara Reid and Dennis Hopper and Danny Trejo, they try and fail too. This movie is a train wreck that crashed into a second train wreck. Oh yeah its October so we are doing all horror/Monster/scary movies - this movie wishes it were those things but instead it is just lame.Hate Watching is the show that is here to take cheap shots.#DavidBoreanezUnderpants #TaraReid #EdwardFurlong #theCrowWell we just had the big Facebook/Instagram shutdown. It was interesting to experience the loss of a tool that I use all through the day. I am a big fan and user of Instagram and am worried that Facebook is going to destroy its functionality. They did it to Facebook and you can feel them slowly making Insta worse and worse. But that is the thing with tools, when they are no longer needed, we can just find new tools. I used Flickr for many years til they ruined it and then I left it. I will miss Insta when it outlives it usefulness but it won't be my fault that they screwed it up. Not that anyone pays attention to customer dissatisfaction....

Tarantino playing a foot loving serial killer is the least shocking bit of this film. The first joint feature (but not the last) between Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino finds two criminals on the run from the law and in search of solace across the border. Unaware that a sinister force awaits them with a secret centuries in design open from dusk till dawn.

An LA native, Arrow is also an artist and model. In this episode, Arrow and hostess Pleasant Gehman talk about Starcrawler's most insane road stories-including audience members who had to be rushed to the hospital and backstage ghost encounters and achieving altered states on stage. Die, go insane or go to jail: these were the options Danny Trejo saw for himself as a young man growing up in the Los Angeles neighbourhood of Pacoima. Under the wing of his career-criminal uncle, Danny became addicted to heroin and spent most of his twenties in and out of high-security prisons across California. A decade after being released from prison for the last time and whilst working as a drug counsellor he had a chance encounter that set him on a path to the highly-successful Hollywood movie career he now has. Danny Trejo has over 400 on-screen credits, the record for the most on-screen deaths and has starred alongside some of the biggest actors in the business. He still lives in Pacoima and now gives back to the community he once terrorised. He's written a book about his life and career called Trejo: My Life of Crime, Redemption, and Hollywood. Falling victim and feeling helpless is not about being weak or strong, but it is about self-awareness and making a mental shift to see what is possible. Stepping back and asking yourself, what is in your control and deciding how you want to respond is critical. Viktor Frankl says in his book, Man's Search for Meaning, “Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.” Danny Trejo, an actor and Hollywood Icon, joins me today to discuss a few of the stories from his new memoir, Trejo. Hearing these stories should remind you that it never matters where you are or how you start in life, it only matters how you decide to respond. Yes it's hard, yes all excuses and reasons you have to not try and give up are valid, but ultimately the choice is yours to make. Danny's story is beyond inspiring when you see someone come from a mindset and situation that consumes and devours over 90% of the people engulfed in that life. Which really means, anything is possible and your potential is nearly limitless. Danny Trejo is a legend with over 380 acting credits to his name. He is the “most-killed” actor in Hollywood history with roles in Blood In Blood Out, From Dusk Til Dawn, Desperado, Heat, Con Air, Machete, Spy Kids, Breaking Bad, and Sons of Anarchy. He is one of the world's most recognizable and adored character actors but before he wandered onto the set of Runaway Train attempting to help a young drug addict and was asked to step in as an extra on the film, Danny Trejo was a convicted felon who served time in some of the country's most infamous prisons to include San Quentin, Folsom, and Soledad. In his brand-new book, Trejo: My Life of Crime, Redemption, and Hollywood, which releases this week, Danny tells his personal story of drug addiction, violence, incarceration, sobriety, spirituality and eventual success at the pinnacle of the film industry. It is an honest and emotional memoir with lessons of hope and the transformative power of forgiveness for us all. On this episode of Danger Close, Jack and Danny discuss his journey from inmate to number one on the call sheet, his encounter with Charles Manson in prison, working with Charles Bronson and Robert DeNiro, being recognized as Machete by President Obama, his battle with cancer, his recovery from a subdural hemorrhage in his brain, Danny Trejo Day in LA, Trejos Tacos, and a lot more. But as his new memoir highlights, Danny went from being a criminal and a drug addict to a ubiquitous actor and an inspirational force in his community. Danny and Marc talk about family secrets, toxic masculinity, Charles Manson, and tacos. And Danny's son Gilbert joins in to explain how their personal struggles became intertwined.
