Two drafts on a Tuesday! Charlie Tilson & Chris draft teams for a sandlot ballgame from fictional characters from baseball TV/movies. Then, Will Leitch & Drew Silva draft "best speeches from movies" with Chris.
Former Cardinal prospect Charlie Tilson joins Chris to talk about a wild last six weeks that took him from the coaching staff of Northwestern University, to the Mexican League, to The Atlantic League, and now to the Philadelphia Phillies AAA affiliate. The guys talk about perseverance, Bartolo Colon's legendary motivational texts, playing for former big leaguers in a variety of situations, and making decisions on the spot when you're presented with opportunity. Then, Rick Gehman stops by to preview this weekend's DFS action on the PGA Tour & recap what it was like to be at the US Open at Torrey Pines.
You can focus on the Charlie Tilson signing, or Ben Cherington trying to avoid using the word "rebuild". It may be more productive instead to look at Mitch Keller, Ke'Bryan Hays, and Oneil Cruz. Where are the 3 biggest prospects in the Pirates organization when it comes to their development? And when can we expect them? Craig Toth writes for Sports Illustrated Inside The Pirates, while his buddy Chris sits at a basement bar speaking his mind. Listen as they get drunk with power at a 9-foot basement bar talking Pittsburgh Pirates Baseball. Listen. Subscribe. Share.
