The Michigan Court of Appeals has ruled that some evidence against the man accused of killing Danielle Stislicki can NOT be used.  In a unanimous decision, the Appeals Court upheld a lower court ruling that excluded Stislicki's keys, fitness tracker and some security video that put the suspect, Floyd Galloway, in the area of the murder.  Four juveniles have been charged as adults following a robbery attempt and shooting in Warren that left a man critically injured. In December of 2016, a 28-year-old woman left her insurance job for the night and disappeared. The next morning, her car was found, but the location of her body remained a mystery. Danielle Stislicki left her Southfield office on December 2nd of 2016, and hasn't been seen since. While her body has not been found, a security guard from Stislicki's office, Floyd Galloway Jr., was charged with her murder.  He appeared in court today. This week, we’ll investigate the case of a 28 year old woman from Michigan who disappeared after work in December 2016. Authorities quickly pieced together what appears to be a solid case against one of the victim’s acquaintances from work, and all signs pointed to murder. But, in the four years since Danielle Stislicki was last seen, her body has never been found and the prime suspect isn’t giving anything up. On December 2nd, 2016, twenty-eight year old Danielle Stislicki made dinner plans with her best friend. She left her office building, located in Southfield, Michigan, at 5pm, and sent a text saying that she was going to be stopping at her apartment, and would meet for dinner around 6pm. Danielle never arrived. Within 24 hours, friends, family and police were conducting exhaustive searches for Danielle. Her Jeep was found parked just feet away from her apartment door. Her wallet and ID were found inside, but her cell phone and keys were missing. Investigators began to believe that Danielle was not the one who parked there, and foul play was suspected. Over the next year, their investigation would lead them all across the state of Michigan while witnesses would name a suspect - a man who worked as a security guard in the building where Danielle worked and who was seen talking to her the night she vanished. A man who would later be convicted of an attempted sexual assault which took place just four months before Danielle vanished. While investigators collected evidence, including a mattress and floor boards from his home, he has never been named an official suspect and is only a person of interest. The community rallied around the Stislicki family, and to this day, they are searching for the answers. May 24, 1990. Livingston County, Michigan. After dropping her mother off at Detroit Metropolitan Airport and spending the afternoon with a friend, 30-year old Paige Renkoski starts driving home. That evening, her abandoned vehicle is discovered with the engine running on the shoulder of Interstate 96, but Paige has vanished without a trace. Before she went missing, witnesses recalled seeing Paige speak with a man outside her vehicle at that location, but he is never identified and Paige is never found. In addition to Paige Renkoski’s story, this week’s minisode of “The Trail Went Cold” will also be covering the recent unsolved disappearance of 28-year old Danielle Stislicki, who vanished after leaving her workplace on December 2, 2016.
