Next, What can be done to protect reproductive rights? President Biden met with Democratic governors on that critical issue on Friday. One of those governors, Michelle Lujan Grisham of New Mexico, joins The ReidOut. Plus, Florida's dystopian "don't say gay" law has taken effect, causing havoc in schools and fear among LGBTQ teachers. We speak to Democrats fighting back against this and similar laws in Texas. Joy Reid leads this episode of The ReidOut with the historic transition of Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson to the highest court in the land, coming at the end of the most activist and destructive Supreme Court term in more than a century. Also tonight, The ReidOut examines what apparently amounts to more criminal exposure for Donald Trump and his January 6th enablers, including a potential criminal referral for witness tampering. But we begin with a look at how in the past month the conservative majority on the Supreme Court has successfully weakened Miranda rights, kneecapped state gun safety laws, betrayed indigenous sovereignty, begun to dismantle the separation of church and state, and curtailed women's right to privacy and liberty. Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse joins Joy Reid on what the Democrats may do next. Plus, Emmett Till's family wants the White woman who accused the 14-year-old Till of making improper advances, leading to his kidnaping and murder, arrested now that an unserved warrant has been unearthed 67 years later. Deborah Watts, cousin of Emmett Till, joins Joy Reid on this groundbreaking development. All this and more in this edition of The ReidOut on MSNBC.

Joy Reid and her panel of legal experts discuss. Plus, the Supreme Court's draconian decision to overturn Roe v. Wade is politically unpopular, with a majority of Americans opposing it. What will the Democrats do to press for the protection of women's bodily autonomy? Rep. Last year, President Joe Biden made Juneteenth the newest federal holiday. The day is said to commemorate slaves in Texas hearing the news of Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation and of their impending freedom on June 19, 1865. Let's set aside the fact the 13th Amendment wasn't ratified until December 1865 and was not officially banned in President Biden's home state of Delaware until 1901. June 19, 2020, was the first time that many Americans heard the word Juneteenth, but it wasn't in connection with freed slaves from a century and a half ago, it was a part of the protests following the death of George Floyd. Jason believes the connection to Floyd is problematic. “I suspect most people don't fully comprehend or get Juneteenth. It's a national holiday because of the death of George Floyd, not because our political leaders had a sincere interest in celebrating the emancipation of slaves in Texas or across the South.” Jason has an alternative to the polarizing, over-politicized holiday. “Fearless” contributor Delano Squires shares his thoughts and discusses the problem with the colors red, green, and black being associated with Juneteenth. "Fearless" soldier Dave Shannon answers the question of whether America will ever accept the holiday as a legitimate one. Then, Josh Koskoff, one of the lawyers representing the family of Uvalde shooting victim Amerie Jo Garza, who successfully sued the manufacturer of the AR-15 used in the 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting, joins The ReidOut on gun marketing to young people. Finally, we examine the tight Los Angeles mayoral race between Democrats Karen Bass, the six-term progressive member of Congress, and billionaire real estate developer Rick Caruso, who was a registered Republican until three years ago. Rep. Karen Bass joins Joy Reid on what this race says about the state of American politics. All this and more in this edition of The ReidOut on MSNCBC.

In this episode of The ReidOut, Joy Reid brings you a major development on the Jan. 6 front. On Friday, a federal grand jury indicted former Trump adviser Peter Navarro, who ignored a subpoena from the January 6 committee. Navarro has not been shy about divulging his role in the plot to overturn the election. He wrote a book, and talked to pretty much anyone with a microphone about it. He's now the second Trump ally indicted on contempt of Congress charges. But first, Joy leads the program with Rep. Mondaire Jones of New York continuing to speak out on the GOP apparently choosing guns over kids. Then joining us from Uvalde, María Teresa Kumar, president and CEO of Voto Latino, shares about attending the funeral of one of the victims of the mass shooting. She also brings us details on her hosting a call to action in San Antonio on Saturday, June 4, called "Stand With Uvalde." Then we turn to a chilling New York Times report details how the Proud Boys have infiltrated the formerly normcore Miami-Dade Republican home of Jeb Bush. Finally, Joy and friends end the show on a positive note with "Who Won the Week?!" All this and more in this edition of The ReidOut on MSNBC.

Then, Veronique De La Rosa, mother of Sandy Hook victim Noah Pozner, and Dr. Amy Goldberg, trauma surgeon and surgeon-in-chief for Temple Health in Philadelphia, who has treated thousands of gunshot wounds, discuss the idea that America wouldn't be so numb to mass shootings, if the public actually saw the tremendous destructive impact of semi-automatic rifles. We also bring you the lead up into President Biden making remarks to demand stricter gun control in an address to the nation on recent mass shootings. We bring you the president's full speech, then MSNBC host Lawrence O'Donnell of The Last Word, and presidential historian Michael Beschloss, join Joy Reid with their analysis. Joy Reid leads this episode of The ReidOut with news of another mass shooting, this incident occurring in Tulsa, Oklahoma at a hospital. Authorities say multiple people were shot and at least three have been killed. The shooter is also dead, according to police. Sadly, in Uvalde, Texas, memorials and funerals were also held on Wednesday for seven of the 21 victims of the deadly mass shooting that happened there just days ago. Meanwhile, in Washington, lawmakers met to discuss a possible way forward on gun safety legislation. The senator leading those talks, Chris Murphy of Connecticut, joins The ReidOut. But, Joy begins this episode with a hard conversation about the AR-15 and the industry that gives murderers the tools to succeed in devastating fashion. It was not always like this. Former gun industry insider Ryan Busse explains to Joy Reid how the AR-15 conquered the American market. All this and more in this edition of The ReidOut on MSNBC.

On Wednesday's Mark Levin Show, thanks to Big Media, America is engaged in a conversation on mass shootings, and mental illness with no real facts, or hard data. A word of thanks also goes to Mitch McConnell and the RINO Republicans for discussing pointless gun control measures in Congress, even though there isn't a single bill they could pass that would stop crazy people from hurting innocent people. We must thank President Biden for focusing his attention on 9mm pistols and revealing how senseless their gun-grabbing desires are, right? Then, the increased cost of every gallon of gas that you pay for is squarely Biden's fault. By limiting the production of energy, you increase the demand and the price. This was clear 14 months ago when this program noted that increased federal spending and decreased energy supply would drag us over the cliff to inflation and into a recession. All because of leftist climate ideology, not economics. Later, The Democrat Party and American Marxists never leave what's good alone; they create anarchy in energy production, our food supply, and our policies. Secretary Janet Yellen admits that she was wrong about inflation. Secretary Vilsack wants to transform agriculture. Democrats have destroyed our cultural history and economy. Afterward, according to FEC filings the Uvalde Police Chief, Pete Arredondo, donated to Democrat Beto O'Rourke's campaign in 2017. O'Rourke is famous for saying he was coming for your AR-15 if elected President. MSNBC host Joy Reid entertained commentary on her program that suggested that the police response was slowed due to the community being poor or Hispanic. Incidentally, this makes no sense as it is believed that Chief Arredondo, a Uvalde native, is also of Hispanic heritage. Finally, Andrew Pollack, whose daughter was murdered at Stoneman Douglas High School, calls in to tell parents to demand more security in schools.  Learn more about your ad choices. He added that the shooter abandoned his vehicle and entered Robb Elementary with a handgun and possibly a second firearm. Abbott added that the shooter was likely killed by responding officers, but that the events were still being investigated. Abbott, along with former president Donald Trump, and Senators John Cornyn and Ted Cruz are scheduled to speak at the National Rifle Association's 2022 annual meeting on Friday in Houston.
