Or when a 90-year-old yacht mechanic decides it's time to auction Jackie Kennedy's wedding dress he's kept wrapped in tissue paper since the 1960s? On this episode we talk about all this & more – the absolute treasures that fall under Marissa's specialty for auctions at Bonhams –  let's dive right in! We sit down with the second half with the legendary Janice Dickinson—Supermodel, author, reality TV icon, and an unapologetic truth-teller—for a conversation that's as wild, real, and iconic as the woman herself. From the moment she enters the room, Janice doesn't hold back. She opens about her past relationships and the betrayal she faced when a close friend—none other than Christie Brinkley—was caught up in a shocking cheating scandal with her then-partner. With unfiltered honesty, Janice dives into heartbreak, girl code, and how she found the strength to move on and demand better. But love wasn't done with her. Janice recounts the serendipitous moment she met her soulmate, Dr. Rocky Garner, on a blind date set up by his son. From their dreamy Chateau Marmont first meeting to his romantic rainy-day proposal over In-N-Out burgers, this real-life love story could be a Hollywood rom-com—except it's all real. Patrik shares the glamorous tale of how he proposed to Pol'—shutting down Rodeo Drive in true fashion—for their televised engagement on E!'s New Money. (Yes, it's now streaming on Peacock!) The conversation then turns to her reality TV resume—from America's Next Top Model to surviving in the jungle on I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! (three times!). Janice spills tea about fellow castmates, grueling stunts, public votes, and why she refused to eat certain local delicacies (bull eyeballs, anyone?). Of course we get into Hot Topics and Janice weighs in on Kanye West's wife Bianca Censori's controversial “outfits,” Jaden Smith's Grammys headpiece moment, and the AI-generated accents that landed Adrian Brody and Felicity Jones Oscar buzz. She's got strong opinions—and she's not afraid to share them. We also talk cancel culture, problematic past tweets, and whether artists like Carla Sofía Gascon should still be celebrated despite offensive remarks. Janice shares her own painful history with Bill Cosby, her role in the early days of the Me-Too movement, and how speaking her truth became part of her healing. Finally, we test her knowledge with a “Supermodel Pop Quiz” where she reveals behind-the-scenes stories about icons like Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Kate Moss, Heidi Klum, and Anna Nicole Smith. We reflect on Anna's tragic death—and how deeply personal that loss still feels. As always, we close with a fashion Runway Rundown and a coffee ground reading from Pol' who sees exciting things ahead for Janice, including global travels, new ventures, and a long-overdue moment of public recognition that will put her right back on the throne she deserves. From fashion and fame to heartbreak, healing, and hilarious truth bombs, this episode is pure Janice: raw, radiant, and relentlessly real. This is another Hurrdat Media Production. Obviously I was not. My Proof of Work is that I did not do any. Alas, I felt like John Mayer wandering through the halls of the Javits Center, wanting to scream at the top of my lungs, there is just no such thing.   Is there no more deeply offensive question than “What are you excited about in crypto right now?”  Such a statement to me indicates you cannot differentiate wine varietals, do not have a subscription to Barrons and your porn collection is not international.  In veritas- I'm excited about its impending doom to smithereens with a side order of Depinned Tokenized Real world perps all over my body on a new L2 rolled up on SUI on an AI bot money laundered on a hooker in Miami at the Penthouse in the Faena. Alas, the plethora of stupidity within the web3 ecosystem continues to amaze and inspire me to pivot to something real and pure, like Tether. But I digress. My guest today is the striking barbie doll former Duchess of the Surf Lodge turned career crypto Degen Ms Jessica Rossman.  Do not be fooled by her French manicure and blonde tresses; her pipeline is longer than your term sheet as well as your you know what. I have been a fan of Jessica since the Bush administration, and how could you not, what with her Jewish persuasion, pithy vocabulary, her ana Kate Moss high cheekbones, Bera Baddy accessories and her ability to have every low tier L2 founder salivating at her feet for a .. job at any waking side event- is where her magic only beginsHer illustrious career began where every good story should, working for Diet Queen Tanya Zuckerbrot Dietician to the star as her diamond right hand where Louboutins and size 0 was the office aesthetic, much like Binance.. As a wannabe elitist rich skinny bitch like yours truly,  I followed Jessica's every move and every bite in an attempt to have the lifestyle that I deserved . Until of course, she was horrifically wrongly accused of being an ADHD pill frontrunner of Ms. Zuckerbrots entire operation by the Diet world's SBF equivalent named Emily Gellis in a Federal Lawsuit in a pathetic attempt to take Queen Zuckerbrot down. Luckily, like SBF, Emily did not succeed and Jessica escaped unscathed reputation intact and found salvation in being a hot Degen girl in crypto alongside the wisdom to know that the truth, like code, and like Trust Fund always prevail. Jessica now serves as the Business Development Lead at Kadena, a Proof of Work Token that horizontally scales. Jessica is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to conference survival tips, Degen trading, Panel outfits, telegram organization, not letting Federal lawsuits get you down, and most importantly that routine is the death of any existence. Most importantly, Jessica stands by that it is harder to get off the waitlist for a Birkin than to understand building on Kadena.

Welcome to Mona Lisa Overpod, the show that asks the question "What is cyberpunk?" On each episode, hosts Ka1iban and author Lyda Morehouse dive into the genre that helped define sci-fi fiction in '80s and they break down its themes which remain relevant to our lives in the 21st century. Pull on your mirrorshades, jack into the matrix, and start your run with us today! There is movies before 1999's The Matrix, and there is movies after The Matrix and those two worlds are not the same. Into a cinematic landscape of TV adaptations, potbolier thrillers, and Oscar-bait dramas came a film that kicked open the screen doors of the public's perception and changed movie-making forever. The Matrix is so ingrained into our idea of technology and culture that it's hard to imagine its absence, but we're here to try and pick apart its contribution to culture, misunderstanding the red pill, and the film's status as the ultimate cyberpunk artifact. In this episode, we discuss the inspirations behind the universe of the Matrix, its forebears in sci-fi and Hong Kong cinema, the trend of reality-questioning media in the 1990s, the power of the series's practical effects, the intentions of the creators, our fan theories and headcanon, and how it's ultimately a spiritual film. We also talk about "Who shot JR?", cool European AIs, high-caliber flipping, digital goulash, being more Dicky than Gibsonian, the Google Agent Smith AI, 'punkin in the '90s, Happy Meal levels of cultural penetration, Kate Moss kicking ass, fascinating straight people, killing a car with a sword, and a heist PLUS a rave cave?!Matthew Lillard is the One!The new edition of Lyda's book, Ressurection Code, is out now!https://wizardstowerpress.com/books-2/books-by-lyda-morehouse/resurrection-code/Join Kaliban on Twitch weekdays at 12pm for the Cyber Lunch Hour!http://twitch.tv/justenoughtropePut Just Enough Trope merch on your body!http://justenoughtrope.threadless.comMLOP is a part of the Just Enough Trope podcast network. Fáilte ar ais chuig eagrán nua de Ar An Lá Seo ar an 16ú lá de mí Eanair, liomsa Lauren Ní Loingsigh. I 1979 fuair siad amach gur tháinig níos mó bainne as na mbó má raibh na daoine deas chuig na mbó. Tháinig an staidéar ó Dr Martin ó Ollscoil Nottingham. Rinne sé comparáid idir dhá bhó ag an am agus tháinig níos mó bainne as an mbó a láimhseáil na daoine níos fearr. I 2002 tharla scaoileadh gunnaí ag Ollscoil I Meiriceá. Mharaíodh triúir duine ann. Ag an deireadh beir ceithre mhic léinn air agus tháinig na gardaí. I 2002 bhuaigh mic léinn an Chláir deich ngradam ag an Young Scientist. Fuair scoil I Lios Dúin Bhearna an méid is mó ghradam ar an lá. I 2013 tháinig ionadaí áitiúil an Chláir amach ag lorg áit chónaithe do thionóntaí frithshóisialta, cosúil le cad a bhí ag dul ar aghaidh in Amstardam. Was Diddy Trying to Drug Kate Moss? The Resurfaced Photo Sparks Outrage

At first glance, the photo seemed innocent enough: a moment frozen in time from a glitzy 1999 birthday bash at a New York City hotspot. Sean “Diddy” Combs, one of the most recognizable faces in music, fashion, and entertainment, stood beside supermodel Kate Moss. His arm reached out, casually draping across her neck, and his other hand clutched what appeared to be a small, white pill. But now, in 2024, that same image has reignited a firestorm of controversy. A Cultural Flashpoint Public reaction to the photograph has been swift and scathing. The internet, with its penchant for unearthing forgotten relics, is abuzz. Why did no one notice this before? What else was lurking in plain sight? The timing of the photo's resurgence could not be more critical. Diddy, once an icon of success and reinvention, now sits behind bars, awaiting trial on charges that include sex trafficking, drugging, and the assault of multiple victims. The allegations against him span decades, painting a picture of a man who wielded his power and fame in horrifying ways. The 1999 image, unearthed at this moment, feels less like a coincidence and more like a damning piece of a much larger puzzle. Kate Moss and the Shadows of the Past Kate Moss, unaware of the object in Diddy's hand that night, was herself a tabloid fixture at the time. Fresh off a breakup with actor Johnny Depp, Moss's hard-partying lifestyle and associations with Hollywood's elite were constant fodder for the paparazzi. Decades later, Moss has distanced herself from that chaotic period, embracing a healthier and quieter life. Still, this resurfaced photo has raised uncomfortable questions about her proximity to Diddy during an era now cast in an ominous light. While there is no suggestion that Moss was involved in or even aware of Diddy's alleged actions, the image's viral spread has placed her back into a conversation she likely thought she'd left behind. The Dark Allegations Diddy, on the other hand, has far bigger concerns. His legal troubles began making headlines in September, with allegations that read like the darkest of Hollywood's horror stories. Victims, both men and women, have come forward with accounts of being drugged, assaulted, and then silenced through threats and blackmail. One lawsuit alleges that Diddy raped a 13-year-old girl at an MTV Video Music Awards afterparty in 2000, an accusation that also implicates rap legend Jay-Z. Both men have denied the claims, with Jay-Z's legal team denying the allegations. The internet has latched onto every detail of the case, dissecting not only the allegations but also the culture of impunity that may have allowed such behavior to go unchecked for so long. Legal experts describe the lawsuits against Diddy as part of a growing reckoning in the entertainment industry, where victims are finding the courage to speak out despite the power and resources of their alleged abusers. This cultural moment, driven by a new wave of accountability, has reframed how power dynamics are discussed in public spaces and placed heightened scrutiny on the actions of those in the spotlight. Complicity and Industry Silence One particularly chilling claim involves a male victim who alleged he awoke to find Diddy sexually assaulting him. Another victim recounted being drugged and assaulted by Diddy and associates at a party in the Hamptons. These stories, graphic and deeply disturbing, have turned public perception of the once-beloved mogul into something far darker. These accounts not only speak to individual acts of cruelty but also reveal an alleged system of control, manipulation, and exploitation that raises questions about who else might have been complicit in enabling such behavior. As more lawsuits are filed, Diddy's legal team has responded aggressively, denying the accusations and criticizing the credibility of the lawsuits. Meanwhile, the public's appetite for answers has only grown. Social media has become a battleground, with heated debates over the credibility of the claims and the broader implications for celebrity accountability. The polarized discourse underscores the complexities of separating personal fandom from ethical accountability, as some fans continue to defend Diddy while others demand justice for the alleged victims. The 1999 Photo as a Symbol The unearthed 1999 photo has only added fuel to the fire. Many see it as a symbolic moment, encapsulating the unchecked privilege and power of a man who, by all accounts, considered himself untouchable. Others view it as a reminder of the cultural norms of the time, when the behavior now described in lawsuits was too often ignored or excused. For some, the photo serves as a haunting artifact of a time when excess and recklessness were glamorized, and the actions of powerful men were rarely questioned. Kate Moss's representatives have declined to comment on the photo, and there is no indication that she will publicly address the matter. For her part, Moss has been open about her struggles in the past, including a stint in rehab in the late '80s and the fallout from the infamous “Cocaine Kate” scandal of 2005, when photos of her using drugs surfaced in tabloids. That controversy cost her several high-profile contracts but ultimately led to a resurgence in her career. In recent years, she has cultivated an image of stability and discretion—one she may be reluctant to disrupt by revisiting her connections to Diddy. An Industry Reckoning The legal and cultural fallout surrounding Diddy, however, shows no signs of slowing. The lawsuits continue to pile up, with new accusations surfacing seemingly every week. Each new claim paints a more damning picture of a man who allegedly used his wealth and influence to manipulate, harm, and silence his victims. Legal analysts predict a lengthy and highly publicized trial, one that could expose not just Diddy but also the systems and enablers that protected him. The entertainment industry's history of shielding powerful figures from accountability may soon come under intense scrutiny, as victims and advocates push for systemic change. In the midst of this unfolding scandal, the entertainment world has begun to reflect on its role in perpetuating cycles of abuse and silence. Questions about complicity are being asked not just of Diddy's immediate circle but of the broader culture that allowed such behavior to fester. Industry insiders have noted how power dynamics, fear of retaliation, and financial incentives create environments where abuse can thrive unchecked. The emerging narratives from Diddy's accusers have become a rallying cry for others to come forward, further illustrating how the ripple effects of a single case can challenge an entire system. Conclusion: The Reckoning Continues The reemergence of the 1999 photo feels like a haunting reminder of what went unspoken for so long. As the case against Diddy unfolds, it forces a reckoning—not just for those directly involved, but for anyone who turned a blind eye to the troubling dynamics of power and privilege in the entertainment industry. The photo is a snapshot, yes, but it is also a symbol: a small, potent reminder of a culture long overdue for change. It serves as a powerful metaphor for the hidden and often ignored truths that are finally coming to light. For many, the ongoing legal battle against Diddy represents not just an individual's quest for justice but a collective demand for accountability and transparency in an industry that has too often operated in the shadows. My guest today is the fashion designer Bella Freud. Bella launched her eponymous label in 1990. Over thirty years later it remains resolutely independent, one of the very few that hasn't been subsumed by a fashion conglomerate.  Bella's clothes are for wearing and have become a byword for women who want to be glamorous but not girly with a bit of added wit. Her iconic word jumpers are one of the most covetable individual fashion items bar none. (As her instant-sell out collaboration with M&S proved.) Bella has always played with her heritage (her father, the artist Lucian Freud designed her famous dog logo and great-grandfather was Sigmund Freud, widely credited as the inventor of psycho analysis) and now she's launched a podcast - Fashion Neurosis with Bella Freud - where she literally puts celebrities on the couch to analyse their relationship with style. Eric Cantona, Zadie Smith and even Kate Moss have succumbed and, I have to say, it's an eye-opener. I met Bella at home in North West London to talk about growing up outside convention and how she finally shook off her childhood coping mechanisms. We discussed the “wonderful feeling of progress” that's come with ageing, what we can gain from unravelling life's knots and the impact of losing both of her parents in one week. Bella also told me how her body image shaped her designs and how she's learnt to appreciate her body as she's aged. Fashion is a magic carpet, she says, and she's the living proof. * You can buy all the books mentioned in this podcast at The Shift bookshop on Bookshop.org, including the book that inspired this podcast, The Shift: how I lost and found myself after 40 - and you can too, by me. * If you enjoyed this episode and you fancy buying me a coffee, pop over to my page on buymeacoffee.com. • And if you'd like to support the work that goes into making this podcast and get a weekly newsletter plus loads more content including exclusive transcripts of the podcast, why not join The Shift community, come and have a look around at www.theshiftwithsambaker.substack.com • The Shift (on life after 40) with Sam Baker is created and hosted by Sam Baker and edited by Juliette Nicholls @ Pineapple Audio Production. Gen X can be funny about food. A lot of us were raised on a diet of Kate Moss, cigarettes and coffee. We were happy to talk openly about skipping meals, cutting carbs, and cabbage soup cleanses. We swam in a sea of celebrity diet tips, fads and…shame. In today's episode of MID, Holly is talking about food and the absolute necessity of small joys with Virginia Trioli. Virginia Trioli is one of the most highly-regarded journalists and broadcasters in Australia. She's a two-time Walkley Award winner, and her voice, on radio, on television has lent authority and comfort to some of the most difficult moments we've lived through as a nation. And this has given her a lot to say about…joy. That's what her new book, A Bit On The Side, is about. Because for her - and for Holly - food is part of that joy. And allowing ourselves to lean into the small pleasures that make a life, without guilt or shame, is a radical act, really. Particularly for women, when we have been taught that self-sacrifice and deprivation are our life's lot. So please feast on this conversation between Holly and Virginia - talking about food, love, and hard-fought parenthood and step-parenthood and losing your parents and wisdom and age and work and friendship and pleasure and letting go - and those times when you just have to… grow up, apologise and eat a shit sandwich. VIVE LA CREATIVITE!—There are many reasons for you to hate Fabien Baron (especially if you're the jealous type). Here are 7 of them:• He's French, which means, among other things, his accent is way sexier than yours.• He's spent an inordinate amount of time in the company of supermodels like Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, and Kate Moss.• He gets all of his Calvin Klein undies for free.• Ditto any swag from his other clients: Dior, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, or Armani.• When he tired of just designing magazines, magazines went and made him their editor-in-chief.• He was intimately involved in the making of Madonna's notorious book, Sex. How intimately? We were afraid to ask.• Also? Vanity Fair called him “The Most Sought-After Creative Director in the World.”With our pity party concluded, we admit “hate” was probably the wrong word, because after spending time talking to him, it's easy to see why Baron has been able to live the kind of life many magazine creatives dream of—and why he's been so incredibly successful. His enthusiasm is contagious. It's actually his super power. And it's a lesson for all of us. When you get next-level excited, as Baron does when he can see the possibilities in a project, his passion infects everybody in the room. And then, when you learn that Baron believes he's doing what he was put on this earth to do, and claims that he would do it all for free. You've kind of got to believe him.I never, ever worried about money. I never took a job because of the money. Because I think integrity is very important. I think, like believing that you have a path and that you're going to follow that path and you're going to stay on that path and that you're going to stick to that. And that's what I'm trying to do. Welcome to Season 5 of Print Is Dead (Long Live Print!)—This episode is made possible by our friends at Mountain Gazette, Commercial Type, and Freeport Press. We meet Mary McCartney, world renowned photographer, film-maker and sustainable food pioneer. As a leading British creative, her work covers multiple disciplines, but is always rooted in her passion for impactful storytelling. We meet at Claridges Art Space in London to explore her joint show 'Double Exposure' with photography legend David Bailey. Unfolding like a conversation between two friends, Double Exposure: David Bailey & Mary McCartney brings two era-defining British photographers into dialogue for the first time. Curated by Brandei Estes, this striking series of works spans the 1960s to the present day – exploring a shared aesthetic of reinvention, play and the art of portraiture itself.Mary McCartney's insightful gaze reveals enigmatic and evocative portraits of celebrity icons, from Kate Moss to Harry Styles. Like Bailey, there's a dash of the theatrical and performative in her photographs. But set alongside everyday moments – a ballet dancer ‘off pointe' or a woman hailing a taxi – she conjures the sense that anything, or anyone, could be a subject. As a portrait and fine art photographer, McCartney's work has been featured globally, with exhibitions taking place in London, New York, France and in 2015 was invited by Buckingham Palace to take the official photograph to mark Queen Elizabeth II becoming the longest reigning Monarch. Her work is held in major private and public permanent collections including the Victoria and Albert Museum, London; the National Portrait Gallery, London; The Royal Academy, London; and the Fondation d'entreprise Hermès, Paris, and has been commissioned by leading publications including National Geographic, British Vogue and GQ. In 2023, McCartney's first feature documentary If These Walls Could Sing, the untold story of the Abbey Road Studios 90 year history, was selected to premiere at The Telluride Film Festival. Streaming globally on Disney, and was nominated for a Critics Choice Documentary Award. McCartney has also been at the forefront of food sustainability for over 25 years, with a history and heritage rooted in her mother's pioneering work and creation of one of the first meat free brands Linda McCartney Food in 1991. In 2009, Mary co-founded the global collective Meat Free Monday with her father and sister, and is a global ambassador for Green Common Foods, a food tech brand in Asia that is focused on plant based meat substitute products.
