Eric Drysdale has climbed a mountain and is now seeking new vistas. It was so interesting to hear how he kinda wound up naturally as a late night television writer, contributing to over 1500 hours of late-night television as a staff writer for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (2000-2005), The Colbert Report (2005-2015), The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (2015-2016) and Full Frontal with Samantha Bee (2016-2019) He also contributed to the Daily Show's best selling America: The Book, The Colbert Report's I Am America and So Can You and its sequel America Again. He is the recipient of 14 Primetime Emmy wins and 18 nominations. With all that, Eric continues to look for new challenges, which is probably why he got to where he is anyway. Eric is also a serious collector of of amateur 1950s three-dimensional photography was featured in 3D: Double Vision, a survey exhibit at LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art). He also contributed an essay to the exhibition catalog. He continues to share his collection with small groups in his Midcentury Stereopanorama shows, which are often held at The City Reliquary. Eric's 3D work has been profiled in the New York Times and Atlas Obscura. More about Eric and his work HERE.

It's a minute of revelations as Indy learns that his dad is his ex-girlfriend's ex-boyfriend and that Donovan was the one trying to make the castle seem haunted. And he's going to get away with it, despite our meddling guest Eric Drysdale of Full Frontal with Samantha Bee. Enter Sallah, the best digger in Egypt, but what does he DO? And Indy's a handsome houseguest, but would our guest Eric Drysdale want him at his house? Also, there's a monkey.
Toht disappears, Marion gets edited, and Indy gets annoyed as we fly from Nepal with our guest Eric Drysdale. Bonus: It's unanimous. Captain Stubbing is a jerk.
Not only is Toht a Nazi and a pyromaniac, but we find that he is in breach of contract. Our guest Eric Drysdale joins us again in this never-ending roughhouse!
Tom learns to count thugs, Pete rethinks those candle holders, Gerry laments a henchman's plan gone awry, and our guest Eric Drysdale confirms that Marion is, in fact, a badass.
In retrospect, Toht is the last guy who should be playing with fire, Gerry and Tom are not as close as they thought, and Indy better be ambidextrous. Luckily, Eric Drysdale joins us to explain some Henchman 101.
Eric Drysdale is a man of many talents not the least of which is the writing of materials suitable for inclusion in the category of televised comedy/variety. On Thursday, December 18th Eric and his co-scribes ended their long run writing for The Colbert Report on Comedy Central and with any luck he'll will soon be employed at the network that for some odd reason has a weird eye as its logo. Eric's life in comedy began at an early age. He seemed destined for creating comedy in one form or another and he's fortunately been able to test those waters in many forms. From movies shot on film as a teenager to an actual paid comedy writing job for a Canadian TV show just one year out of high school to a European "walkabout" to The Daily Show and then to Colbert, Eric's journey has been long, exciting and fruitful. And now he's a guest on Writers' Bloc! Talk about moving up!! I'm happy to have him as a friend and thrilled to have him as a guest on the podcast. Hear it with your ears asap! Listen on iTunes.

It's time for a "juggernaut of melancholy" with the most horrific episode of Beginnings yet! Three minutes into this baby, I creep myself out, and the shame train kept right on going as my fantastic guests stand-ups Bonnie McFarlane and Max Silvestri, The Colbert Report's Eric Drysdale, Todd Goldstein of ARMS and guest co-host Mike Pace told tales of inappropriate adult/teen relations, and (maybe less creepily?) what it's like to grow up on a farm, Usenet Star Wars fans fanfic, the most criminally negligent camp counselors in history, Lobot's International House of Funk, building a museum in your house, a Don Rickles puppet, high school mail order bride screenplays, and a long conversation about audio tape brands.Check out the website for Beginnings, subscribe on iTunes and see some live dates: on Aug. 31st we'll be live at the Out of Bounds Festival in Austin with director Todd Rohal, Ramesh Srivastava of Voxtrot and more, and the next live episode will be September 3rd for the Beginnings "Writer's Panel" featuring Jackson Publick (The Venture Bros.), Annie Mebane (Community, The Michael J. Fox), J.R. Havlan (The Daily Show), and guest co-host Opus Moreschi (head writer of Colbert Report) and more!
Eric Drysdale (The Colbert Report, The Man with F.E.E.E.T.) introduces Craig to the 1970s sci-fi crap-fest "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century." Learn about Eric's affinity for bad sci-fi that involves music, meet a wise-cracking robot that wears another robot around his neck and hunker down in a trash duct for this week's episode FROM THE 25TH CENTURY.
Eric Drysdale from the Colbert Report joins Jordan and Jesse for a discussion of egg nogs, Jewish holidays, teenaged hobbies, clown skills, and the sad state of biker culture.
Hi everybody! Happy Father's Day, almost! And happy Bunheads Premiere Week. This week, Julie is not ready to talk about Bunheads, then talks about Bunheads. She also welcomes two fantastic guests! First, Eric Drysdale, a comedian, friend and television writer (Colbert Report, Daily Show) joins Julie to talk about Canadian things, 3-D photography, his first job, and other things that float his boat. He also does us all the TREMENDOUS favor of recapping the Queen musical for us! This is an unmissable summary. Then, Adam Pally, the charming, funny and handsome gentleman best-known for playing Max on Happy Endings (the gay one), is here to pick apart his Wikipedia page and tell us what is true and what is false. He also has stories about David Duchovny and Mischa Barton, and reminiscences about improv class with Julie! And what's more, he sports a red beard and has sired an adorable infant. Are you on board yet? Also! Julie ponders the depressing phrase that is "One for Dark Horse, please," explains who Kelly Bishop is and finds out what Supermanning can be, Diet Mountain Dew is tasted, The Belz is Belzified, and other things are considered and celebrated as well. Enjoy this show, featuring three fine Jews, if you include Julie, which of course you must do!
writes for and I wasn’t too dorky about that. But I wanted to be. Instead I let him dork out about his freaking love of 3D and the Viewmaster and how it’s all come together for a live show that he does (here in LA March 16, 2011 downtown, details on the website). You can also just get a viewmaster and the “reels” on that website to enjoy in your own home. I learned stuff about cameras and the history of the Viewmaster. It’s a great ep.
