In today's episode of The Daily Voice, Sam discusses the main headlines from Wednesday and asks the question, 'does the market need a new driver to continue pushing higher?'.
It took two attempts, but German conservative leader Merz was elected chancellor by parliament on Tuesday after an unprecedented defeat on the first attempt got his coalition government off to a wobbly start. Market sentiment took another U-turn yesterday, with global equities falling back for a second day ahead of today's US Federal Reserve rate decision. News that trade negotiations are going well and that initial US and China trade talks will take place this Saturday did little to improve investors' mood. Richard Tang, Head of Research in Hong Kong, discusses how markets reacted to the news and provides more details on Beijing's policy measures as well as the geopolitical tensions between India and Pakistan.00:00 Introduction: Bernadette Anderko, Investment Writing00:28 Markets wrap-up: Jan Bopp, Investment Writing06:09 Asia update: Richard Tang, Head of Research Hong Kong14:29 Closing remarks: Bernadette Anderko, Investment WritingWould you like to support this show? Student Bodies (1981) is a horror-comedy that parodies the popular slasher films of the late '70s and early '80s. It follows a high school plagued by a mysterious killer known as "The Breather," who targets students in a series of absurdly over-the-top murders. The film pokes fun at horror tropes, including jump scares, suspicious characters, and the cliched behaviors of horror victims, making it a playful satire for fans of both horror and comedy. Mark Newton, Global Head of Technical Strategy at Fundstrat Global Advisors, expects the market to go through a brief correction after the election, but to have turned that into a buying opportunity by the time December rolls around, bringing with it a Santa Claus rally to end the year. Newton says that for all of the worries investors have about the market, the numbers remain solid and while it may not support continued gains like we have seen in the last two years, it should keep the market from a major, protracted downturn. John Cole Scott, President of Closed-End Fund Advisors digs into his firm's data to break down a stellar third quarter for closed-end funds, which saw a significant narrowing of discounts but where he still sees buying opportunities now. James Abate, Chief Investment Officer at Centre Funds — manager of the Centre Global Infrastructure Fund, the top-performing fund in its peer group year-to-date — talks infrastructure investing in The Market Call, and Chuck talks about how the trick-or-treaters at his house on Halloween took to deciding between cash or candy in his annual trade-or-treat challenge.

It has become a well-accepted idea that breathwork can improve health, enhance athletic performance, and even help those with mental health issues. There are so many protocols and devices that it can be overwhelming to know where to begin. The idea of Respiratory Muscle Training is the foundation of them all, and it's what Breather-Fit does best. Like training any other body part in the gym, the stronger and more within your control the muscles responsible for your breathing are, the more capable you will be to use them in the way that suits you and your goals best. The Breather is the world's first drug-free, evidence-based Inspiratory/Expiratory combined Respiratory Muscle Training (cRMT) device, used by children and adults interested in health, wellness, and human performance.
