Before Smallville, my favorite superhero TV show was The Flash. One of our Patreon exclusive podcasts this year (and beyond) will be Always Hold On To The Flash, where I'll be joined by Matt Truex to discuss each and every episode of the The Flash TV series that aired from 1990-1991 on CBS! We had such a great time talking about Birds Of Prey last year we decided to keep the lights on at the clocktower, albeit moving out of New Gotham! We'll be speeding our way through the streets of Central City one episode per month, with special episodes on other Flash media as we go. As is our way, we're releasing the first episode of Always Hold On To The Flash here on the main podcast feed as a preview to all listeners of what to expect from the show. If you like what you hear, join us for the rest of the journey on our Patreon! After a short delay, the boys return to the 'Summer of Superhero Shlock' as the duo go full speed into the feature length TV Pilot of the 1990's The Flash! Listen as Johann and Ed analyse all the ups and downs of this misunderstood gem, including its cheesy dialogue, the costume malfunctions, the big effects and the missed opportunities that stopped it from making this a classic. But is it good or did Warner Bros put too many eggs into their lightning speed basket? Will we remember it fondly? Is that the dad from Dawson's Creek?Keep on listening to find out! Gotta go fast! For more information on future projects and episodes, like our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/studioenigmatic/), Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/enigmaticproductions/) or explore our website at https://www.enigmaticproductions.co.uk/the-trash-tapes

Join Shawn and Scott as they discuss and review the pilot episode of the series about crime scene investigator Barry Allen and the freak accident that transformed him into the world's fastest superhero: "The Flash"! Listen as they breakdown every little detail and Easter egg of the episode, from references to DC Comics' New 52, characters from the comics you may have missed, and references to the classic DC storyline "Crisis on Infinite Earths"! They'll also discuss the complicated history of The Flash and the many characters that have taken up the Flash mantle throughout the years in the comic books. Plus, there's some talk about The Arrow and DC's Legends of Tomorrow, and how this shared "Arrowverse" might absorb the new CW acquisition Supergirl! Gene and Siike are back to discuss PS4 sales, X-Men: Days of Future Past reshoots, the Flash Pilot, and the upcoming Adult Swim animated series by Dan Harmon, Justin Roiland, and Starburns Industries, called Rick & Morty. The Nerd Nation Embassadors will also talk about the pros and cons of comic companies doing "event books" while also publishing books that feel like events themselves. It's Marvel's Infinity and DC's Forever Evil vs Superior Spider-Man and Batman: Year Zero. A new segment is introduced, the Deuce returns, and maybe, just maybe, Siike & Gene will get to the topic they've tried for two episodes to talk about; the summer movies of 2015. It's more nerdiness than you can shake a Tardis-shaped stick at. Tune in, nerd out!
