 Fertility Docs Uncensored is hosted by Dr. Carrie Bedient from the Fertility Center of Las Vegas, Dr. Susan Hudson from Texas Fertility Center, and Dr. Abby Eblen from Nashville Fertility Center. In this episode, the docs welcome visiting physician Dr. Shelley Dolitsky from Shady Grove Fertility in Towson, Maryland, for an in-depth conversation about recurrent pregnancy loss. Dr. Dolitsky begins by reviewing how different professional organizations define recurrent pregnancy loss. The American Society for Reproductive Medicine considers two or more losses—including very early biochemical losses—to be recurrent pregnancy loss, while the American College of OB/GYN defines it as two clinical losses under 20 weeks. The docs discuss how age dramatically affects miscarriage risk, with up to 75% of women over 40 experiencing miscarriages, compared with an overall rate of three to five percent. They walk through the full evaluation, which includes assessing the uterine cavity for abnormalities such as scar tissue, polyps, or congenital malformations; ensuring the fallopian tubes are normal and ruling out tubal damage; and performing chromosome analysis on both partners. Testing for antiphospholipid antibodies and lupus anticoagulant is also essential, as these can contribute to placental clotting issues. The conversation highlights the importance of screening for chronic medical issues that might be undiagnosed. About half of patients with recurrent pregnancy loss will have an identifiable and often treatable cause. Finally, the team discusses recommendations for patients whose workup is normal but who continue to experience losses. This podcast was sponsored by Shady Grove Fertility.

Episode 349 features Love Nut, the mid-90s Baltimore indie pop band that almost broke big but got lost in the major-label shuffle. Formed in the gritty heart of Charm City by dual-threat axe-man/vocalist Andy Bopp, guitarist/vocalist Max Mueller, bassist Dave Vespoint, and drummer Tom Sabia, Love Nut blended raw emotion with razor-sharp melodies on their 1996 debut Bastards of Melancholy. Snapped up by Interscope Records after a local indie release, the album earned rave reviews for its melancholic bite but sadly fizzled commercially. Fast-forward to now: After nearly three decades, Love Nut is coming back for a triumphant 30th anniversary reunion show this Friday, December 5th, at The Recher Theater in Towson, MD, just a stone's throw from downtown Baltimore. Special guests Splitsville join the fray for what promises to be a nostalgia-soaked explosion of guitars, harmonies, and that unmistakable Charm City swagger. They're connected in a way we haven't seen recently, and that is becoming very clear with ball movement and defensive communication. In all, we touch on Gavin Walsh getting comfortable in his role, Christian May finding a rhythm as a two-way player, Makoi's major leap forward, and a character-building win on the road over the Highlanders. Plus, a look ahead to the six games at Trask Coliseum this week as Navy, Southeast Louisiana, and Gardner-Webb come to town. We close it out with a look around the CAA, where Towson got a couple of much-needed wins for the league.

Happy Thanksgiving from Glenn Clark Radio! We'll celebrate with a would You Rather Wednesday edition of the show and talk plenty of Ravens-Bengals before the big showdown tomorrow night, Lamar Jackson and Kyle Hamilton both returned to the practice field yesterday which can only be a good thing, but we'll examine the matchup from all angles as we check in with our friend from WLW out in Cincinnati at 11:10am, the former NFL Player, now radio host and College Football Analyst Rocky Boiman as we ask him how healthy Joe Burrow really is, how (if?) the Ravens can slow him and Jamarr Chase down, the Bengals lack of defense and what it's been like having Joe Flacco in town the last several weeks. It's Feast Week so we have to of course talk some college hoops and we'll do that with our guy Patrick Stevens of the Washington Post at 11:30am, get his thoughts on the late night Terps who took down UNLV at about 2:30am ET on Tuesday before following that up with an extremely lopsided loss against potentially the best team in the country in Gonzaga, plus we'll talk about Towson going for three wins in three days down in Florida and all the other local hoops teams in action this week. Then at 11:50am, we'll make our picks for the week with Ken Zalis, from Memphis-Navy on Thanksgiving night, the Big Game in Ann Arbor on Saturday and of course Ravens-Bengals–also on Thanksgiving! It feels like forever ago the Seahawks tipped off the 2025-26 season with a win over Mount Olive! Uncle Bill and TeacherBracket are here to break down the season-opening win, including a huge night for Big Pat Wessler, Madison Durr's attacking speed, Nolan Hodge's confidence, and what was up with that second half. Then, a look ahead to a great mid-major matchup with Kent State on Monday night. The Golden Flashes play fast and come into this one averaging 103.5 points through two games while allowing 99.5. The Seahawks are likely to try to slow things down and dictate the pace. Finally, a look around #CAAhoops, where several teams let big opportunities slip away against mid-major peers and Towson looked great in a battle with Houston.

Welcome to the 2025 GCR College Basketball Preview Show! Always a fun morning when we get to go around the state and preview ALL the local college basketball programs, our good friend Patrick Stevens of Blue Ribbon and the Washington Post will be hanging out alongside us in studio as we chat with the Head Coaches from Loyola (MD), Mount St. Mary's, Towson, Coppin State, UMBC, Morgan State, and Navy! First up, at 9:20am, will be Head Coach of the Loyola (MD) Greyhounds Josh Loeffler as we see how the ‘Hounds are doing as they get ready for the season and prepare to compete once again in a tough Patriot League. At 9:40am, we'll head out to western Maryland and catch up with Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers and HC Donny Lind after Coach Lind led the Mount to a MAAC title and an NCAA Tournament appearance last season in his first year at the helm, we'll see how he plans to follow that performance up. At 10am, we'll go across the street here in Towson to see how the Towson Tigers are doing with HC Pat Skerry as they look to finally break through in the CAA, we'll talk all about bringing back reigning CAA Player of the Year Tyler Tejada and much more. At 10:20am, we will check in with HC Larry Stewart of the Coppin State Eagles in his 3rd season at his alma mater and how they're preparing for the MEAC gauntlet with yet another tough non-conference slate in November and December. At 10:40am, we'll hop on 695 and head to Catonsville and check in with UMBC HC Jim Ferry to see what the Retrievers are up to as they look to compete in the America East once again this season. At 11am, we'll see how the Morgan State Bears are doing with HC Kevin Broadus as the Bears look poised to make a run for the MEAC title this season. Finally, last but certainly not least, Navy HC Jon Perry will check in to let us know how his offseason went and what expectations are for the Mids' in Coach Perry's first season as Head Coach.

This week, Scotty Wazz talks about the Women's Crabpot and Navy's results there. The Navy and Towson Men's side did not have the best weeks, but the Terps Men split their weekend. Also, Towson's Women are back in action after a couple year hiatus.

Over the summer my family and I went on a vacation to Europe. We spent about 7 days in Spain before wrapping up in Portugal. During my time there I wanted to get a t-shirt for a soccer team from each city we stopped in. I got something in Valencia and Seville. But it's the shirt I got in Lisbon that has been creating a bit of an issue for me. I got a shirt for the team Benfica. Every time I wear this shift out in public someone stops me to comment about their love of Benfica. I had never even heard of this team before visiting Lisbon. It's been kind of wild to see what kind of fanbase they have here in America.One gentleman who stopped me was Billy Harte. He came up to me in a coffee shop in Towson, MD. We spoke for a few minutes and he started telling me all about his new soccer apparel company called The Pitch Performance. I mean, it's brand new. The brand officially launched earlier this year (2025). I thought his story was really interesting. I wanted to know more, so I figured you all would like to know more as well. Dr. Dassin Blackwell, a lifelong educator, coach, and athletics administrator with over 20 years of experience working across NCAA Divisions I, II, and III. Currently, I serve as the Assistant Director of Athletics Compliance and Director of Sprint Football Operations at St. Thomas Aquinas College, where I lead academic support, NCAA eligibility, and holistic development for more than 450 student-athletes. My foundation in athletics began on the field as a student-athlete at Towson University. That moment not only defined my playing career, but also deepened my belief in the transformative power of sport. As a coach for 20 years, I had the privilege of being part of two conference championship teams and coached for a national championship, helping student-athletes achieve success at the highest levels both on and off the field. Throughout my career, I've held leadership roles at institutions including Georgetown, Towson, Pace, Hofstra, Frostburg State, Iona University. My work has included everything from managing NCAA compliance and GSR reporting to implementing department-wide systems like SPRY and mentoring first-generation student-athletes. I earned my Ph.D. in Educational Management from Hampton University, and my passion lies in bridging the worlds of athletics and education. Stephanie Blackwell is a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Master Social Worker with a commitment to fostering positive change. Stephanie received her Master's in Social Work from Fordham University in 2024, along with receiving a Specialized Certificate in Crisis and Resilience and her CASAC-T Certification. She received her Bachelor's in Social Work at Molloy University in 2023. In 2022, she was awarded BSW Student of the Year by the New York State Social Work Education Association. Stephanie currently serves on the NYSSWEA Board as Vice President. She also serves on the Molloy University Alumni Association Board. Stephanie is the Lead Clinician at Lincoln Hall, where she supports adolescent boys who have crossed U.S. Borders unaccompanied, searching for a better life in the U.S.
