Beth Chatto was the amazing gardener who said "Right plant, right place." meaning there is a prefect plant for each circumstance, you just need to do the research. Well you can also think of this when your creating a garden, what is it that the landscape is already telling you? Is it dry and sandy? Or maybe wet and shady? All of these things can drastically change the kind of garden that you'll want to create, but we can walk you through it. This episode Emma and Beth talk about the different gardens we've had to make on the farm and how to be creative with the space your given.Instagram:@abllominggoodtimepodcast@crowleyhouseYoutube:@crowleyhouseflowerfarm

In this weeks episode of Master My Garden podcast I am giving you an update from my garden the little wins and some areas of frustration that I have. My polytunnel is filling up and is starting to produce some beautiful vegetables and flowers. Most seeds I grew have been very successful but there are also some that have failed such as celery. This successes and failed are all part of growing your own and each one provides something to learn from. Each year throws different weather patterns at us and this year has been no exception with an exceptionally wet and cold April & May meaning the gardening and growing year is about 6 weeks behind other years. The growth has really started since the start of June and from here it should all kick off into what hopefully will be a long and productive summer. There will be a blog post on this episode very soon on my website. This blog and previous blogs along with all podcast episodes are be available on my Website :https://mastermygarden.com/If there is any topic you would like covered in future episodes please let me know. This show takes a look at some of the aspects of Detroit's green environment. Our guest is Sue Hudnut, who works for the Greening of Detroit (link to their website). It is a not for profit organisation which has played a significant role in panting tens of thousands of trees right across Detroit. As well as making a significant positive impact on Detroit's ecology it's programmes also encompass adult job creation through training programmes and involving young people in environmental work through its Youth Green Corps Leadership. It also looks after beautiful green spaces such as Lafayette Greens which lies right at the heart of downtown Detroit. Sue looks after the beautiful garden, which is a gorgeous green space for people to sit and socialise. During the summer, Sue organises yoga classes and meditation sessions. In this show, we talk about the gardens, the nature of Detroit's green environment and how Sue made a dramatic career change moving from the international corporate world to following her lifelong dream.

Today Joe and Jimmy are talking about the “Fall of Man, of Sin, and of the Punishment Thereof” from the 1689 Confession, chapter 6, paragraph 1. The guys consider man’s original state of righteousness, the covenantal context of life in the garden before the fall, the fall of Satan, the nature of satanic temptation and deception, and God’s purpose in it all. And how should these truths impact us experientially? In this episode I interview Dr. Richard Barcellos, pastor of Grace Reformed Baptist Church in Palmdale, CA, about his most recent book - Getting the Garden Right: Adam's Work and God's Rest in Light of Christ.
How important are the first chapters of Genesis to our understanding of the whole of Scripture? What happens to our perspective if we isolate Genesis 1-3 from the rest of God's Word? Richard Barcellos drops in. He's written Getting the Garden Right: Adam's Work and God's Rest in Light of Christ. The book is a sharp analysis of both the covenant of works and the Sabbath. Was Adam called to simply tend the Garden of Eden, or was there a greater goal given even before the fall? Richard paints the big picture, applying Scriptural proofs along the way.
