The term Hardcore means different things to different people. For Jimni Cricket, Hardcore means obnoxiously happy. For over a decade, Jimni Cricket has been an EDM DJ with a focus on the Happy Hardcore genre, releasing content online, streaming elaborate fan-fueled sets on Twitch, spinning at raves, and is more recently a weekly Radio host on c89.5 fm in Seattle. Recent High School grad J Cool joined Jimni to discuss how she represents herSELF with intention particularly in an industry dominated by men, the state of mental health in alternative or underground communities, how her eye-popping fashion choices can impact and enhance daily life, destigmatizes specific subcultures of the Rave scene, and shares advice for people who have a hard time being themselves. Co-presented by 4Culture, Coping 101's Artist Mental Health Stories amplify voices from King County's cultural sector to empower individual artists, uplift the creative community and destigmatize mental health from a teen's perspective. No matter our age or background we all face challenges, and there are many healthy ways to find balance. Meeting people where they are, you learn more about what they really need. Stephanie Sarantos and Karina Gasperin have applied this philosophy for the past few years in building Well Being, a Youth and Family Resource Center based in Bothell, Washington. Stephanie comes to us from The Clearwater School, an alternative school with an exciting model. Karina is the CEO of Mujeres con Actitud Latina, providing resources and information for immigrants and latinas. Student host J Cool discusses what it means to take community creation and development into your own hands, and how lives outside of traditional structures can lead to healthy growth. Presented by c89.5 in partnership with Seattle Children's, Coping 101 is an ongoing series led by students in Nathan Hale High School's Podcast Club that destigmatizes mental health from a teen's perspective, made possible with local support from The Community Foundation of Snohomish County, Hansmire Builders and Compass Health - NW Washington's Behavioral Healthcare leader. Politicians, with the exception of Donald Trump, should stay away from the rap scene. They aren't cool. They've never been cool. And they're certainly not LL J-Cool.

Myf and Zan are catching up on the week that was, and whether Harry is still doing shoey's. W Magazine has just unveiled a phenomenal cover shoot with woman of the moment Jennifer Coolidge, as crafted by Directors of the moment “Daniels”. Yep, the people who put together Everything Everywhere All At Once have made a magical world for J Cool and it's as good as it sounds. Meanwhile the King has Coronation Party anxiety, Ted Lasso is back soon with some more hints at S03, and a long read on the age we think we are is one of our faves in a while. This week, The Doc is joined by long-time friend of the podcast, J Cool "The NXT Guru," to discuss what some are calling the Wednesday Night War. NXT vs. AEW is nearly upon us. Real or perceived, this battle for Wednesday night supremacy is the kind of head-to-head competition that wrestling fans have clamored for since the Monday Night War ended in 2001. J Cool, who has written weekly recaps for WWE's yellow brand for years on Lordsofpain.net, offers his insight into what we could expect from NXT when it moves to a live, 2 hour format. Doc has some pointed questions he hopes The Guru can answer, including what the expectation should be for the early victor in the ratings battle. The pair also discusses All Elite Wrestling, which has already announced several key matches and features for its first month or so of programming leading into its next pay-per-view. There is more ticket demand for Tony Khan and his band of merry men and women, but in a division vs. division comparison to NXT, which brand appears to be the overall strongest? J Cool is one of Doc's favorite wrestling discussion partners, so they hope you enjoy their chat!
This week, it's the Sunday Wrestling Conversation, and on this occasion The Doc is joined by LOP's long-running recapper of NXT's weekly Network show and writer of the Cool Points rankings columns dedicated to the yellow brand, a good friend of the program, J Cool. Much has happened in NXT since the last time JC and Doc had a conversation on this podcast ahead of Takeover: Brooklyn IV. NXT is heading back to New York next weekend; what to make of the latest Takeover card is certainly at the forefront of the discussion today, but they also tackle such topics as the main roster call-up process and whether or not a change is coming to off-set the generally poor transitions initiated by WWE proper in the last two or so years. The conversation seems destined to dovetail into many asides, so join Doc and JC and listen to how it all plays out! Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/lords-of-pain-radio/donations

This week, The Doc is feeling pretty good about the world of professional wrestling! Yes, seriously. After a weekend spent reconnecting with his purer fandom of sports entertainment, he is ready for Summerslam, in spite of its borderline intelligence-insulting main-event. There are a lot of good things to like about this Big 4 weekend, thanks as usual to the influx of potential weekend-stealers from our friends down in NXT. LOP's resident NXT guru, J Cool, joins the first half of the show for a spirited discussion about Takeover: Brooklyn IV, and then Doc flies solo for his rundown of the Summerslam card, about which he asks and answers some intriguing questions, including but limited to whether or not Bryan vs. Miz will go down as an all-time Summerslam classic.
