Jeffrey Epstein maintained a close professional relationship with Leon Black, co-founder of Apollo Global Management, from 2012 to 2017. During this period, Black paid Epstein approximately $158 million for financial services, including estate planning and tax advice. An independent review by the law firm Dechert LLP revealed that Epstein's strategies potentially saved Black at least $1.3 billion. Despite Epstein's 2008 conviction for soliciting a minor for prostitution, Black continued their association, citing Epstein's expertise in complex financial matters.The extent of Epstein's access to Black has been a focal point of scrutiny.
