WWE could not have found an easier way to annoy Mav, Maz and 'Plan if they tried than forcing Brock Lesnar back into their lives, so they spend the first half of this week's show bemoaning the return of the Beast. They then have a look at where the shotgun booking might be going, before switching gears to praise the AJ Styles vs Seth Rollins match, have a debate about the night the women's division had, and think about what would constitute a breaking point for their WWE fandom.
In this week's edition of Sports Entertainment is Dead, ‘Plan presents the traditional Performance Art Review of this last Sunday's biggest pay per view – Money in the Bank 2019! Refusing to cover the malignant main event and its horrible conclusion, ‘Plan instead focuses first on the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladders Match that opened the show, specifically as a piece of genre wrestling. He then moves onto the shared universe storytelling of Becky Lynch’s night and wraps up with a look at the sublimely wrestled and nostalgically styled Seth Rollins vs. AJ Styles encounter. Impact Wrestling returned to The Asylum in Nashville Wrestle Kingdom weekend, but due to the company's PPV model, the guys are just getting around to covering it. The Lucha Bros took on LAX, the vacant X-Division title was decided in an Ultimate X match, Taya Valkyrie and Tessa Blanchard battled it out for the Knockouts Championship, and in the main event Johnny Impact defended against Brian Cage. The guys also watched EVOLVE 127, so will discuss that, as well. Plus, All Elite Wrestling have their first official event, Double or Nothing, this coming Saturday. What are the guys' final thoughts on it?

This week, The Doc is primed and ready for an intriguing WWE Money in the Bank card. Rollins vs. Styles and Owens vs. Kofi provide an excellent one-two punch of title matches, with the signature gimmick bouts providing back-up; the rest of the card has filled out nicely, as well, with plenty of depth to further the reputation of Money in the Bank as the defacto fifth pay-per-view in a "Big 5." Doc offers a quick-hitting but still densely packed preview ahead of tonight's event. Then, he transitions to talking about All Elite Wrestling's first show coming up next Saturady. Double or Nothing comes with tremendous enthusiasm and high expectations. What does Doc want out of it besides great wrestling matches?

This week, 'Plan and Mav have a look at this weekend's Money In The Bank pay-per-view in the light of one of the poorest months of creative in recent memory. The boys begin by going into their thoughts on why the television has been so bad, and what they make of reports surrounding Vince's increasingly bizarre handling of creative. They then look match by match at the card for Sunday, pick some winners, and talk about some of their issues with the booking and writing of the show.

There are no big events this week, nothing absolutely shaking the wrestling world apart, and the guys didn't plan anything in particular, but that doesn't mean they can't bullshit about professional wrestling for a couple of hours. The Best of the Super Juniors is underway, Ring of Honor and NJPW also just finished up the War of the Worlds tour, and supposedly an announcement is coming on Wednesday regarding All Elite Wrestling's television home and viewing options for Double or Nothing. On a show that Jeff has constantly accused of being ADD, this will likely be the most ADD of them all.
This week, The Doc is joined by 2018 LOP Columnist of the Year, Sir Sam, for the Sunday Wrestling Conversation. Sir Sam, borrowing an idea from LOP Columns legend, Prime Time, suggested that they look to their favorite sports to find possible WWE storyline opportunities largely unutilized in sports entertainment lore. The Doc, for instance, looks to his spring-time obsession with playoff basketball for one of his ideas, which frankly would allow the often laborious stretch between post-WrestleMania and the start of Summerslam Season to engage the audience with matches that matter across television and PPV. Sam counters with an idea that would send John Cena's legendary status to a different level, particularly with diehard wrestling fans who have often been repulsed by the concept of him breaking Ric Flair's World Title record. It is a fun, spirited, and rather timely chat by The Doc and Sir Sam given the events of the week that brought us "The Wildcard Rule" for Raw and Smackdown, and they hope you'll join in on the discussion using social media.

This is a huge deal and the boys discuss the potential effects of the upstart promotion getting a big platform to grow here in the UK, and what that might mean for competition in the industry moving forward.

In this week's edition of Sports Entertainment is Dead, ‘Plan discusses the issue of WWE’s overloaded raft of characters in the event rumours of the Brand Extension ending prove true! With news that both USA and FOX are pushing for an end to the Brand Extension in the wake of dismal ratings, ‘Plan sits down and takes a look at the fact that WWE is overloaded with characters that will need rearranging should a single-roster system take hold once more. He starts by listing the three characters that would be first in line for cutting should the Extension come to an end, before going on to look at three he believes should be developed further and allowed a more central position in the same scenario. This week, The Doc is continuing his enjoyment of the overall health of the professional wrestling industry. He attended the NWA/ROH collaborative Crockett Cup last weekend and shares with you today his thoughts on the show's presentation and general vibe. His attention then turns to last year, when Impact Wrestling bounced back from a hugely disappointing 2017 to gain back a lot of the good will it had lost; Doc gives his impression of the year that was for Impact in 2018. Finally, Styles vs. Rollins for the Universal Championship gets a spotlight, as does the Money in the Bank card in general and the recent heel turn of Kevin Owens to set-up a WWE Title bout against Kofi Kingston.

With Money In The Bank just over a week away, Maz and Mav delve into the idea of there being a "big five" pay-per-views, with Money In The Bank arguably having assumed that "fifth major" status over the past nine years. The boys look back through the history of the show and the legacy of some of its greatest matches and moments, before switching gears to look at the event which was its equivalent in the 90s: King Of The Ring. Expect to hear discussion of why those shows are so fondly remembered, and why WWE would be well served to bring it back to the modern day audience. As ever, the discussion is lively and filled with mirth!

In this week's edition of Sports Entertainment is Dead, ‘Plan decides to take look at why now is the perfect time for WWE to stage the Rollins vs. Styles story. Starting with a little discussion about the importance of good pacing in the construction of a story, 'Plan goes on to explore the naturally conflicting characters of the defending Universal Champion and insurrectionist challenger – and why it is AJ Styles made a big mistake when he told Seth Rollins he was 'the next AJ Styles.' Theme Song: Max Flashback Artist: Lee Rosevere Album: Music for Podcasts

It seems like every wrestling organization on the planet was having a major show in the New York/New Jersey area G1 Supercard weekend. Everyone except All Elite Wrestling, of course. The guys covered nXt and G1 Supercard last time around and this time they will dig into Major League Wrestling's Battle Riot II, as well as their previous big show, Intimidation Games. Plus, the National Wrestling Alliance is still alive...kinda...and put on a joint show with Ring of Honor this past weekend, reviving the Crockett Cup to crown new NWA Tag Champions and all of their other titles were on the line, as well, including Marty Scurll trying to wrestle the NWA World's Heavyweight Championship away from the completely mediocre Nick Aldis. The guys will discuss that, as well.
This week, The Doc is in a reflective mood. The decade is fast coming to a close and it has been one of the most important of Doc's life. As per usual, he is struggling to extract the WWE decade from his overall life, so to the pod he has gone with the intent of fully contextualizing how we have reached this current point in pro wrestling history. Today begins a ten part journey that will conclude at the end of the year. 2010 goes under the bright lights first, and Doc finds it very interesting how the WWE decade began with a massive departure of all-time great wrestlers from the active roster and a consequent scramble to try and fill the various levels of void. Past topics written and spoken about such as the Lost Generations of WWE headliners come back to the forefront and the stage gets set for what happened later while also celebrating the many achievements of the decade's first year.

In this week's edition of Sports Entertainment is Dead, it's Dean Ambrose week! 'Plan takes the opportunity to sit down and wax lyrical about the now recently departed Lunatic Fringe. 'Plan looks back, first of all, on the tragic but inspiring nature of Ambrose's character, one of the most fully formed but subtly presented (yeah, really!) in all of WWE lore. From there, it's time to reminisce about some classic Ambrose and Ambrose-centric matches from over the years. And, as a final word, 'Plan takes some time to extol what he believes to be the true legacy of one of the most formative and important figures in all of recent WWE history Theme Song: Max Flashback Artist: Lee Rosevere Album: Music for Podcasts

This week, The Doc is joined for the Sunday Wrestling Conversation by two-thirds of the Outsider's Edge podcast hosted on the Chairshot Radio Network, Kyle Moores and good friend of the program, Rey Cash. The trio discuss the Superstar Shake-Up, specifically the matches that they are each most intrigued by (including one that Doc feels is this generation's Angle vs. Michaels). They converse at length about their temperature readings on All Elite Wrestling ahead of their first show next month, Double or Nothing, and bring up several unique talking points along with a name dropped that could be a game-changer, however unlikely his presence may be. Finally, conversation turns to the Kofi Kingston vs. Daniel Bryan match at WrestleMania 35, which Doc was not ready to stop talking about after a recent replay made him wonder, "Just how high up would I place that match in WrestleMania history?"

The WWE Hall of Fame got a bit of mention on account of one particularly memorable induction speech, NXT Takeover: New York quite frankly dominated with perhaps its all-time greatest card, and WrestleMania certainly delivered enough feel good moments to earn plenty of love too. While Doc was not over the moon about The Show of Shows, he acknowledges that it offered some frefreshing big picture decision-making. So, what made the list?
