This round, which brings CodeSignal’s total funding to $37.5 million, was led by Menlo Ventures Founded in 2015 CodeSignal is disrupting the traditional recruiting market, helping recruiters and hiring managers conduct unbiased pre-employment screenings for technical roles more efficiently and at scale. The company’s Coding Score™ allows companies to quickly evaluate technical qualifications at the very top of the funnel, just like Credit Score for the lending industry and SAT scores for college admissions. Fueled by 3.5X year-over-year growth, and with millions of assessments conducted on the platforms by customers including Brex, Databricks, Instacart, Robinhood, UpWork and Zoom. CodeSignal will use this round of funding to continue the rapid expansion of its go-to-market team. The new funding will also enable CodeSignal to partner with key players in the technical hiring industry to deliver a more holistic hiring solution. CodeSignal’s Certified Coding Assessments provide an objective measure of a candidate’s qualifications, enabling recruiters to compare several scores and strengths at once before hiring decisions are made. The platform allows companies to set their own threshold for qualifications and customize assessments with comprehensive testing options for each team and job opening and safeguards against cheating. By standardizing the technical assessment process, CodeSignal is changing hiring culture and focusing on the applicant who can do the job and do it right. https://hrtechfeed.com/codesignal-closes-25m-series-b-to-make-hiring-less-biased-and-help-the-world-go-beyond-resumes/ SYDNEY and TEL AVIV, Israel, —myInterview, a smart video interview platform prioritizing personality in the hiring process, today announced a $5 million Seed round ...The funding will be used to expand the company’s sales, product, and R&D teams as it continues to grow in the US and UK markets and around the world. myInterview had previously raised $1.6 million in pre-seed funding, which included investment from former LinkedIn executive Cliff Rosenberg. Video interviews – conspicuously absent from the standard application process in this video age – enable companies to rethink how they find their most important resources: their employees. By highlighting candidates’ personalities, soft skills, and workplace compatibility with company culture – key features missing in one-dimensional resumes – myInterview enables character to feature more prominently in the application process. The platform streamlines recruitment for businesses and applicants alike by utilizing pre-recorded (asynchronous) video interviews that allow candidates and reviewers to fit the interview into their schedules. The demand for video interview tools has climbed sharply in the wake of remote working and social distancing norms, and helped fuel myInterview’s rapid growth, including a significant rise in new users on the platform and a 500% increase in Annual Recurring Revenue since 2019. myInterview is already being used by over 2,000 companies globally including Ocado, B&M, and P&O Ferries. myInterview has also worked with Facebook Career Connections and has a strategic partnership with reed.co.uk, the UK’s #1 job site. “The way companies recruit talent is outdated and doesn’t provide the necessary level of insight into applicants required by HR professionals,” said Benjamin Gillman, CEO and Co-founder of myInterview. “A video is worth a thousand resumes. By utilizing video interviews, we help businesses prioritize personality and cultural fit, optimizing the screening and selection process by ensuring that the applicants who are the best fit are moved to the head of the line. We use video in so many facets of our lives – recruiting and hiring are finally catching up.” https://hrtechfeed.com/video-interview-platform-myinterview-raises-5-million-seed-round/ Lastly another company out of San Fran got funding last week and I think it might be one of the strangest startups to get funded in our space. This one is called CODI... Codi thinks many people find working from home a challenge due to a shortage of space, roommates, partners, children, and lack of work/life separation. In response, Codi, the first company to offer daytime workspaces in private homes, announced today that it has expanded to New York, where the company is working with employers to arrange for safe, private working spaces in employees’ own neighborhoods, enabling them to walk to work and avoid long commutes. Codi also announced that it has raised $7M in funding from several investors ...that includes a previously announced 2018 pre-seed round of $1.65M. Codi says they are sparking a walk-to-work movement by providing people with access to workspaces right in their neighborhoods. Companies can have dedicated Codi workspaces that exclusively serve their teams – allowing single employees or small groups to work together, locally but privately. To start, Codi is offering its service in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Northern NJ. Already, Codi has lined up 100+ hosts and hundreds of members, who have access to Codi via their employers. I dont know about you but I’m not sure why need a platform to go work at somebody else’s house...maybe it just me. https://hrtechfeed.com/codi-raises-7-million-to-offer-daytime-workspaces-in-private-homes/

In case you missed it, Google For Jobs launched in 2018 and is quickly shaking up the way your candidates look for jobs. In fact, 73% of all job seekers start their job search on Google. But, if you’re like most employers, you’re still missing this massive opportunity to engage directly with highly qualified candidates. Unfortunately, the process for posting jobs to Google For Jobs requires deep coding expertise and access to the page code for every job post. Until now. Based in Woburn Massachusetts, Jobiak created the industry’s first AI-based recruitment marketing platform specifically for Google For Jobs. Jobiak’s platform scans your job posts, identifies the attributes that Google requires, and structures the Google tags—all without touching the underlying code. Jobiak is the brainchild of Founder & CEO Venkat Janapareddy. Previously, he founded Gozaik, the social jobs platform which helped employers engage with job seekers on Twitter & Facebook. Monster Worldwide acquired Gozaik. In this 20-minute conversation, Venkat reveals everything you need to know about Google For Jobs and how to get the most out of this powerful & free resource.
In this episode, Matt Alder talks to Venkat Janapareddy from Jobiak about how employers can increase their success from Google For Jobs
