She sold for $88M, almost bought a lake house she didn't want, and spent $340K on Knicks playoff tickets — then gave two away because it felt better. We're still surprised people did this but... 50+ founders worth $10M to $4B reveal their personal finances. Here it is: https://joinhampton.com/mw-wrWhy do we do this? Because if you're an aspirational person or someone who runs a business and is making money, it's incredibly challenging to figure out what to do. Information is impossible to find — and that's what we put together: the net worth reveal and why we do this podcast, Moneywise. Also, this podcast is made by Hampton, which is a community for founders doing on average $20 million a year in revenue. We saw a lot of these money conversations happening privately behind closed doors and we thought, "Why not, let's make it public." If you are a founder, apply here: https://joinhampton.com/mwAnne Mahlum built Solid Core from $175,000 of her own savings into an $88M exit. Two years later, her net worth is $115–120M, with $65M in public equities and $15M in a single stock alone. But the numbers are the least interesting thing that's happened since. After the sale, she secretly launched a second fitness company, had panic attacks she's never talked publicly about, shut the whole thing down, and spent two years in legal fallout. Then she had a baby, pulled an accepted lake house offer the morning after making it, and started forcing herself to spend $200K a month just to stop the money from piling up.This episode covers the full portfolio breakdown two years post-exit, why she's done with private investments, the Ambition story she's never told, what a baby did to how she thinks about money and time, and what she actually wants to be remembered for — which has nothing to do with net worth.Sponsors: Daily Body Coach - achieve your dream body with https://moneywise.dailybodycoach.com

“What if a single book could become your most powerful capital-raising tool?” In this episode, Chandler Bolt reveals how he scaled his company from zero to over $65M by leveraging books as a “silent salesman” that drives leads, sales, and investor trust at scale. Chandler breaks down why a book is more than content—it's a strategic asset for authority, how niche positioning and clear messaging make writing easier, and why aligning your book with a specific outcome (like raising capital or generating leads) changes everything. He also shares frameworks like the “four P's” and the “more writing method,” explains how to combine AI with human insight to create a high-quality book, and outlines how books can be used to attract, nurture, and convert investors through every stage of the funnel. For investors and entrepreneurs looking to stand out, build authority, and scale their business, this episode delivers a powerful blueprint you can't afford to ignore.5 Key TakeawaysA book acts as a “silent salesman” that scales trust It generates leads, referrals, and investor interest without requiring constant effort. Niche positioning makes your book—and business—more powerful The more specific your audience and message, the easier it is to stand out and convert. Clarity of purpose determines success Defining the exact outcome of the book (leads, capital, authority) guides the entire strategy. AI should enhance—not replace—your voice Use AI for structure and speed, but rely on your experience and story for authenticity. Books can drive both lead generation and investor nurturing Giving away books and integrating them into funnels builds authority and warms up prospects at scale.About Tim MaiTim Mai is a real estate investor, fund manager, mentor, and founder of HERO Mastermind for REI coaches. He has helped many real estate investors and coaches become millionaires. In this episode, we dive into one of the most overlooked strategies in entrepreneurship: buying businesses instead of starting them.Kasey Cotulla, owner of Delta Print Group, built a $65M+ company (on track for $75M+) not by launching startups—but by acquiring and scaling existing businesses across Northern California.Starting as a forklift driver in a Sacramento print shop, Kasey worked his way up, eventually buying into a struggling company during the Great Recession. From there, he executed a powerful M&A (mergers and acquisitions) strategy, acquiring more than a dozen companies and building one of the largest commercial print and mail operations in the region. In this conversation, we break down:• Why buying a business can be smarter than starting one • How to find and evaluate acquisition opportunities • Financing strategies (SBA loans, seller financing, partnerships) • How to integrate and scale acquired companies • Lessons from building a $75M business in a “mature” industry If you're an entrepreneur, investor, or operator looking to grow, this episode will change how you think about building a business.Learn more here: Website: www.deltaprintgroup.com/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/deltaprintgroup/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/deltaprintgroup/LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/delta-print-group/______________________________________________________________If this episode inspires you to be part of the movement, and you believe, like me, that entrepreneurs are the answer to our future, message me so we can join forces to support building truly great companies in our region. -Subscribe to my channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCom_... -  Mark Haney is a serial entrepreneur that has experience growing companies worth hundreds of millions of dollars. We believe all neighborhoods deserve to be covered in a meaningful way.We amplify positive stories, cover development and local school council meetings and serve as watchdogs in neighborhoods often ostracized by traditional news media.Ground-level coverageOur neighborhood-based reporters don't parachute in once to cover a story. They are in the neighborhoods they cover every day building relationships over time with neighbors. We believe this ground-level approach not only builds community but leads to a more accurate portrayal of a neighborhood.Stories that matter to you — every daySince our launch seven years ago, we've published more than 30,000 stories from the neighborhoods, covered hundreds of community meetings and send daily and neighborhood newsletters to more than 150,000 Chicagoans. What if the secret to saving a mission wasn't a merger but building something big enough to protect it? In this episode, Ryan Dewey Smith shares how frustration with traditional merger models led him to incorporate Inperium on January 12, 2016, from a firehouse office in Reading, Pennsylvania. What started as a bold experiment in nonprofit consolidation has since grown into a constellation of 34 companies across 20 states, approaching $1 billion in annualized revenue and serving roughly 300,000 people a month. Inperium operates as a behind-the-scenes parent organization providing capital, HR, IT, finance, and general administrative services at scale, driving costs down so that affiliated organizations can invest more into the people they serve. Ryan honors Jay Depper, his Chief Development Officer and the man whose early belief in the model set the trajectory for Inperium's first five years. Met through a broker just nine months after incorporation, Jay came in as a potential affiliate CEO and stayed as a partner. Their relationship survived a three-year disconnection following a post-COVID disagreement, was restored over four days in Ryan's home, and has since produced four new deals in a single year.   [00:03:46] What Inperium Does and Who It Serves Aggregator and orchestrator of behavioral health and human service organizations across four primary service areas Currently 34 companies across 20 states serving roughly 300,000 people a month Behind-the-scenes parent providing capital, HR, IT, finance, and G&A at scale so affiliated organizations can invest more into the people they serve [00:05:34] How Ryan Got Into This Work Started his first company in 1993 in the intellectual and developmental disability space and grew it for nearly two and a half decades to $65M in revenue Hit a crossroads where rising costs were outpacing their ability to serve their population Explored traditional mergers and acquisitions in 2014 and 2015; found every option reduced autonomy and stripped organizations of community standing Created Inperium as an alternative: scale the back office, protect the mission, keep the culture [00:08:11] Incorporated January 12, 2016 Organizations keep their own boards, cultures, leadership, assets, contracts, and community standing Philanthropic dollars stay with the organizations rather than being absorbed by a parent Just over 10 years later: nearly $1 billion in revenues, 34 companies, 20 states [00:09:04] What Inspires Ryan Most Every new partner added to the constellation drives costs down for existing partners and brings new subject matter expertise, geography, and service acumen Serves populations that are in most cases underserved with limited alternatives Calls it "impact squared" and then some [00:10:13] Saving Resources for Human Development Last major transaction closed December 2025: Resources for Human Development, founded 1970, on the brink of insolvency with bank loans called and 1,800 jobs at risk In six months, Inperium recapitalized the business, retired the debt, and moved it into tax-exempt public municipal markets Reduced general and administrative costs from nearly 25 cents on the dollar to 9 cents on the dollar Organization is now solvent, growing, and expanding into new geographies [00:13:25] The Relationship That Changed Everything: Jay Depper Met Jay Depper in September 2016, just nine months after incorporation, through broker Kevin Fee Jay was CEO of Edison Court in Bucks County, PA; affiliated with Inperium and spent the next four years building the model together Jay's early adoption and belief in the concept set the trajectory for Inperium's first five years of growth After COVID, the two disagreed on direction and Jay resigned; they disconnected personally and professionally for three years [00:15:30] Four Days That Rebuilt a Partnership Over a year ago, Ryan brought Jay to his home for a four-day in-person meeting to unpack everything before agreeing to move forward Jay returned as full-time Chief Development Officer; together they consummated four deals in the year since his return Ryan describes their dynamic as "an unstoppable force" in developing Inperium [00:16:27] Scaling to $2-3 Billion: The Vision Plan to expand from four to roughly ten total services verticals including higher education and arts Goal is to drive back office costs to 5 or 6 cents on the dollar at that scale, down from 9 cents today Agnostic to size, geography, and services; evaluates all comers and starts with yes [00:20:14] First Deal Outside Pennsylvania Inperium started Pennsylvania-centric; first out-of-state deal closed in New Jersey, followed by Raleigh, North Carolina North Carolina was the epiphany: proof of concept beyond the Commonwealth, now operating in 20 states Nothing preventing expansion to all 50 states; already has 13 companies in Pennsylvania alone collaborating across service spaces   KEY QUOTES "People are paying attention. People are showing that there's proof in this concept. That was an epiphany for me that this is bigger than just Harrisburg to Philadelphia." - Ryan Dewey Smith "Our assets remained ours. Join Nick Lamagna in this raw, no-holds-barred episode of The A Game Podcast: Real Estate Investing for Entrepreneurs, where he sits down with real estate powerhouse Dave Payerchin - a man who's done over 1,000 deals, owned 400+ rental properties, raised $65M in private money, and then lost it ALL… twice. Dave is an investor, an educator and entrepreneur that doesn't hold back: the bankruptcies, the IRS wipeouts, the waiting tables after making $180K his first year, the full-blown alcohol and drug addiction that nearly destroyed his family, and the internal demons that almost ended his comeback for good. He is the founder of Sale House Columbus, Columbus Turnkey Houses and runs a national and local organization known as The CREAM, spreading the knowledge of cash flow, real estate and money with RJ Pepino. But this isn't just another real estate investing podcast. This is the conversation about why information alone doesn't make you rich, why self-sabotage is built into your DNA, and how the real game is won (or lost) between your ears. Topics from this episode include: ✅ How to rebuild self-worth after losing everything ✅ Why your daily habits are more important than your deal flow ✅ The spiritual and psychological reasons high-performers self-destruct ✅ How to channel addictive personalities into unstoppable drive ✅ The exact non-negotiable routines that rebuilt his trust in himself and his lenders ✅ Why ego, comparison, and "how many doors do you have?" culture is destroying investors  Whether you're a real estate investor trying to scale without blowing up, an entrepreneur tired of the boom-and-bust cycle, or an athlete who knows the mental game is everything - this episode will hit you in the soul.  If you've ever made money, lost money, battled your own mind, or wondered why you keep getting in your own way… this one's for you.

What do you do when doing the right thing gets you fired? That's the question at the center of this conversation with Keith Leverentz. Keith started his career as a high school science teacher before being recruited into a captive financial firm. He quickly became the number one producer in the organization—but he was doing something most advisors weren't. He was putting clients first, even when it meant recommending solutions that were less profitable for the company. In 2012, that decision cost him everything. He lost his business, his clients, his niche, and spent a season wondering if he'd ever get back on his feet.Keith didn't just bounce back. He rebuilt—this time with intention. Today, he leads a 25-person firm that's on pace for more than $65M in new assets this year. He's done it by building a real team, integrating his entire family into the business, and putting purpose, generosity, and client outcomes at the center of everything. If you're a founder who's been knocked down—or you're carrying a weight that feels heavier than it should—Keith's story is a powerful reminder of what's possible on the other side.3 of the biggest insights from Keith Leverentz…#1.) The Cost of Doing What's Right (And Why It Paid Off Later)Keith was the #1 producer in his captive agency — until he refused to sell products that weren't in his clients' best interest. That decision got him fired. Keith explains the ethical dilemma that forced him out, the fear and isolation that followed, and how starting over with nothing eventually led to building a 25-person firm. If you've ever felt tension between growth and integrity, this part will hit close to home.#2.) Why Most Advisors Feel Overwhelmed (And How to Fix It)Keith explains why hiring an Executive Assistant dropped his stress by 40% — and why this role is one of the most overlooked leverage points in advisory firms. He also breaks down a hard truth about his own business: the org chart was “a mile wide and an inch deep.” This section is a masterclass on why founders become bottlenecks, how poor structure slows growth, and what it actually takes to scale beyond yourself.#3.) Why Undercharging Holds Advisors BackKeith shares how he realized he was undercharging — and why raising fees actually improved client outcomes instead of hurting relationships. You'll hear how expanding planning capabilities, trusting a bigger team, and clearly communicating value allowed him to move up-market with confidence. If you're worried about fee pressure, higher-net-worth clients, or whether you're “ready” for the next level, this section reframes the entire conversation.SHOW NOTEShttps://bradleyjohnson.com/148FOLLOW BRAD JOHNSON ON SOCIALTwitterInstagramLinkedInFOLLOW DBDL ON SOCIAL:YouTubeTwitterInstagramLinkedInFacebookDISCLOSURE DBDL podcast episode conversations are intended to provide financial advisors with ideas, strategies, concepts and tools that could be incorporated into their business and their life. It's just Kevin and Andrew this week, but that doesn't leave us lacking for content. this week, the guys watched Weapons, War of the Worlds, Trainwreck: Storm Area 51, and The Monkey. In a rare event, Kevin made it to the theater for a non-family film! But he still took a family member, so that's something. But I digress... He and his son ventured to the theater for the new film, Weapons. The latest horror flick from the director that brought you Barbarian is a really solid film and a must-see in the theater if horror is your jam. The story is interesting and creative, and the final act is absolutely nuts, being both horrific and laugh-inducing at the same time. Definitely see this one as soon as you can! Next up, the guys take you on a trip to sad town. Both of them watched War of the Worlds on Prime, and the consensus is... this movie absolutely sucks! How a movie was made for $65M and stars Ice Cube and Eva Longoria and is completely abysmal is almost baffling. There is really no telling where that money went, other than to Amazon branding. Someone is very rich after making this film, but the term we'd use for this sort of money-making scheme is embezzlement. Ok, that's an unsubstantiated guess, but we invite you to watch this film and figure out anywhere else that money could have gone. But actually, don't watch this film. This is one of those "we watched it so you don't have to" moments on APNC. In a much better turn, the guys watched Trainwreck: Storm Area 51. This one is the rare multi-part Trainwreck series and is well worth the watch. If you don't remember, several years back, a young man jokingly posted a Facebook event to storm Area 51. This somehow snowballed into a massive worldwide event and ended in... well, watch the episode to find out! It's a great cautionary tale of how something that should be inconsequential can take on a life of it's own become, possibly, even dangerous. Kevin closes out the show with a review of the movie, The Monkey, now streaming on Hulu. This is classic cheesy horror at its finest. The story isn't overly deep or complicated. The characters are fun but also not complicated. The kills have a very "Final Destination" feel to them, and the movie really is just a lot of fun. Theo James does a great job in dual roles, somehow being nerdy but also a total d-bag. If you like your horror fun and bloody, this is a great one! As always, thank you for watching. Spurs have identified Mohammed Kudus as a key target and there is a feeling he will be available for less than his £85m release clause, which is applicable to Premier League sides for the first 10 days of July. There is no asking price but £60m could be enough to get a deal done, in order to ease PSR pressure. Initial contacts have taken place with his new agents while there are more clubs also involved. Kudus is understood to be open to Spurs talks. Meanwhile Spurs interest in Eberechi Eze is understood to have cooled at this stage. Arsenal made contact with s camp over the weekend. Eze has a £68m release clause payable in instalments and is open to Arsenal should they proceed with a bid. Contacts are taking place for Crystal Palace star with Arsenal informed on deal conditions. Spurs at this stage are not expected to revive their Antonie Semenyo interest unless Bournemouth's pricetag of at least £65M is lowered.
