Sourcing platform Findem has raised $30 million in Series B financing. This round brings their total funding to $37.3 million. Four Rivers and Quarry Ventures led the round, with participation from our existing investor Wing Venture Capital.

The new injection of capital will be used to scale operations, engineering, and go-to-market teams. Indeed Flex, the online marketplace for flexible and temporary workers is expanding into California.   The tech-first staffing platform, which was acquired by Indeed in 2019, is now available to job seekers and employers in Los Angeles County, Orange County, and San Bernardino County, with further expansion across the state planned in the coming months.

    CEIPAL, a talent acquisition platform,announced it has closed its Series B funding round, led by Camden Partners. CEIPAL secured $16.5 million in its Series B round with an additional $4.5 million in debt financing for a total of $21 million in funds. Transfr VR (Transfr), best known for pioneering the use of virtual reality to simulate on-the-job training, today announced $35 million in Series B funding as it expands into regions and industries most heavily impacted by skills gaps and unemployment. Job search engine Adzuna,, announced the acquisition of job search engine Getwork. (formerly known as Linkup) Fountain, the applicant tracking system (ATS) for high volume hiring, today announced an extension of its November 2021 Series C round by $100M, bringing the total to $185M. After decades of investment, Skillsoft decided to give up on the LMS market and sell SumTotal Systems to Cornerstone for $200 Million. This according to a report by analyst Josh Bersin

    Candidate Resentment on the Rise

    According to the Talent Board's North America CandE Research Report — candidate resentment is again on the rise.   The research found that, in North America, candidate resentment rose from 8% in 2020 to 14% in 2021—a 75% spike. That's the largest increase since Talent Board began its research a decade ago.   Why does it matter? Well Candidates reporting high levels of resentment are less likely to apply with a company again or refer others. They are also more likely to sever their relationship with that company altogether.
