Hey Captains, it's nice to see ya again! We had to jump back on the mics to talk through Signing Day / Signing Week / Signing period updates and reactions - our FIRST PVF offseason! Since all players in the league signed on for 1-year contracts in 2024, the signing period is chaos and we're here for it. Happy to see some of these players sign on for bigger salaries in 2025 (of course, we don't know who's being paid what… yet… But we expect a good number of these intraleague transfers are for increased salaries and/or playing time, so get your money, athletes!) We talk through the confusingly disparate marketing tactics for these teams' announcements, as well as PVF's cute little non-announcement announcement that we'll only see 8 teams in 2025, rather than the previously promised 10. Excited for Indy to get going, and hoping for some good news from Dallas and Kansas City for 2026. During this episode we talk about an organization that we love - LOV! You can find more about them to get involved or donate at: lightsoutvolleyball.org Keep track of PVF 2025 signings with us on our Google Sheet, which you cannot edit because you don't have permissions, but if you could, we'd advise that you not edit them on your phones: PVF '25 Commitments Watch List - by Court Captains Follow us on Instagram for our commentary and updates: @courtcaptainspod Got a question or a reaction to the signing period? I don't know about you, but I spend way too much time creating content. I'm always looking for a faster way to get it done so I can get back to the part of my business that actually generates revenue. If you're struggling with those same issues this conversation with Aaron Witnish is just for you. Aaron introduces a three-step process for generating thirty days of content in just ninety minutes. To start the process, do a bit of research. Use Google's "People Also Ask" feature to identify questions real people are asking about your product or service every day. Once you have the questions record the answers. You can gather a wealth of material in a short video that can be repurposed into clips for social media or longer written posts. Using AI Tools like Opus Clip you can easily cut long videos into short clips, saving time and effort in the editing process. Using Chat GPT to summarize the transcript creates content that is still authentic because it started with your words, not a generic search Aaron also shared some of his favorite production tips and suggestions for collaborating with podcast hosts. About Aaron Aaron Witnish is the Co-Founder of contentonly.au which specializes in an extraction system that creates 30 Days Of Content In 90 minutes a month.
Chris Logan's journey into the real estate industry is a classic tale of ambition, strategy, and timely decision-making. With limited financial resources and lacking an extensive network, Chris was introduced to the concept of wholesaling during a real estate class. This approach, which involved flipping contracts for substantial profits, immediately resonated with him due to its accessibility and potential returns.Eager to capitalize on this opportunity, Chris immersed himself in learning through courses and quickly put his knowledge to the test. Despite initial challenges, he successfully closed his first real estate deal six months later, an achievement propelled by his commitment to taking "massive immediate imperfect action."Two years prior to the pandemic, Chris made a pivotal decision to transition his business to a virtual model. This strategic move not only streamlined his operations but also positioned him advantageously when the global crisis began, underscoring his foresight and adaptability. Paul Lawler helped me test using Google Meet to record a podcast using its built-in recording feature. It was supposed to be a 3 to 5 minute effort. Unfortunately, one of the extensions in Google Chrome blocked video from me and audio from Paul to me. Fortunately, it occured to me to run Google Meet in a Chrome Incognito window which would not have any extensions. This worked. However, we noticed well into the mini-podcast recording session that Paul's video was not transmitting. This was fixed by his turnng video on his end off and then back on. This was not exactly a frictionless exercise. Fortunately, it was a valuable learning exercise. We also discussed the friction involved in using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Apple Facetime, Descript, Riverside.fm, and Adobe Podcast Studio beta to record podcasts with remote participants.

In response to the growing popularity of ChatGPT and other numerous AI tools, Google has thrown their hat into the ring with the addition of an AI-powered search generative experience for its users earlier this year. To compete with the information exchange that is experienced when using AI softwares such as ChatGPT, Google aims to "reduce the number of steps it takes for the searcher to accomplish a task or complete a goal with this new tool." When considering the primary goal of your law firm website, which is to deliver information and give potential clients a way to get in touch, it prompts us to wonder: what can lawyers learn from Google's latest tool? In this episode of the Law Firm Marketing Decoded podcast, we will review the basics of Google's generative AI search tool, which I will be referring to as Google SGE, and explore how lawyers can take a page from Google's playbook to improve the conversion power of their law firm website.
