Today is a special Edition of the show and podcast. This weekend America is remembering an d commentating the 100 year Anniversary of the Black Wall Street Massacre which took place between May 31 and June 1 1921 in Tulsa OK or the Greenwood District.  Black Wall street was the epitome of Black empowerment and wealth creation of a Black community of some former slaves that many turned from rags to riches.  It proved that it can be done and done again and again.  Building a prosperous community and economy with no outside help is what make this story so inspiring for us today…it removes the excuses! This exciting and vibrant community came to an abrupt halt when jealous race angry mobs came in to kill, steal and destroy this community.  But like every powerful story, it has a good ending.Today on the show we will share clips from interviews of survivors of the massacre such as Dr. Olivia Hooker, storytellers including Hannibal B. Johnson the author of BlacK Wall Street From RIOT to Renaissance and even an interview with Actor and Author Hill Harper with a future Black Wall Street endeavor that is pretty exciting.  I hope that the sounds and voices in this show will not only entertain but also educating you, Encourage and Empower you to perhaps build something yourself refusing to use the excuse of lack of opportunity.Build YOUR Black Wall Street! If you can, visit Tulsa OK for its 100 year Anniversary events and new museums this weekend.Well lets jump right in and I hope you enjoy the show!

On May 31, 1921, white mobs attacked a prosperous Black neighborhood in Tulsa, Oklahoma, known as “Black Wall Street.” As many as three hundred people were killed, and more than a thousand homes and businesses were destroyed. Olivia Hooker was six years old at the time. She remembers watching white men with torches come through her family’s backyard, and hiding under a table with her siblings. Radio Diaries interviewed Olivia Hooker about the massacre in 2018. Six months later, she passed away at age 103. Today, to mark the centennial of the Tulsa Race Massacre, we revisit our interview with Olivia Hooker and speak with Kavin Ross about why the story of the massacre was buried for decades. **** Radio Diaries is a proud member of Radiotopia, a network of creators who are able to follow their curiosity and tell the stories they care about the most. Dani is accused of covering attractive slayers, and she does it again this week. She covers wife, stay at home mother, Sunday school teacher, and slayer Brenda Andrew. Brenda seemed like she led the perfect suburban life until her husband was murdered, and she became a suspect. She didn’t exactly look innocent when she fled the country with her lover. Tune in to find out how this one ends. In honor of Black History Month, Carly covers the Tulsa Race Massacre of 1921 and survivor Olivia Hooker. She educates all of us about Tulsa's Greenwood district, which at that time was the wealthiest black community in the US. Unfortunately that all changed when white mobs attacked the black residents of Greenwood during one of the worst incidences of racial violence in American History. 6-year-old, Olivia Hooker, was woken on May 31, 1921 by white men breaking into her home with torches. By morning Greenwood was destroyed. Listen in to learn more. If you have any personal slay or survive (SOS) stories please send them to slayorsurvive@gmail.com. I also delve into the lack of justice received by the family of Willie Jones Jr, who was found hanging in MS back in February as well as the MURDER of Emantic Bradford Jr. This episode, I brought back one of my favorite segments, Politricks as Usual, as I discussed the death of the 41st president as well as his legacy as far as Black folks are concerned. I also talked about the happenings of his funeral as well as the upcoming death of Toupee Fiasco's presidency thanks to Robert Mueller and his investigation. The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly Compensatory Call-In. We encourage non-white listeners to dial in with their codified concepts, new terms, observations, research findings, workplace problems or triumphs, and/or suggestions on how best to Replace White Supremacy With Justice ASAP. We’ll use these sessions to hone our use of words as tools to reveal truth, neutralize White people. We’ll examine news reports from the past seven days and – hopefully – promote a constructive dialog. #ANTIBLACKNESS Whites dedicated the week to celebrate the annual Thanksgiving holiday. Hypocritically, a number of "progressive" Whites are allegedly working to speak truthfully about the holiday's connection to genocide. Speaking of White Terrorism, Mississippi's U.S. Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith remains embroiled in a contentious runoff election. A video shows the White politician saying she would be front row at a hanging. She's standing by her remarks, has refused to apologize and, of course, had no shortage of White character witnesses to swear that she is most certainly not a Racist. A National treasure and living documentarian, Olivia Hooker died this week at the age of 103. She was one of the last known survivors of the infamous 1921 Tulsa Oklahoma pogram of White barbarism that left untold black citizens dead and dispossessed of property. A new Frontline documentary, "Documenting Hate: New American Nazis," suggests that White enjoyment and dedication to violence against black people remains a core component of White culture. #PilgramsAreTerrorists INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE 564943#

On today's episode of Loud & Clear, Brian Becker and John Kiriakou are joined by Jacqueline Luqman, co-editor-in-chief of Luqman Nation, and Sputnik News analyst Walter Smolarek to talk about this week’s biggest news stories. Olivia Hooker, the last survivor of the 1921 Tulsa Massacre, died over the weekend at the age of 103. Dr. Hooker described the notorious 48 hours of death and fire at what was known as the Black Wall Street, as a “catastrophe” that began when a white lynch mob descended on the county courthouse where a black teenager was being held. Brian and John speak with Dr. Gerald Horne, an author and professor of history at the University of Houston. An Israeli court has ruled in favor of a settler organization seeking to evict 700 Palestinian residents from the Silwan neighborhood in East Jerusalem. The steady expansion of Israeli settlements -- illegal under international law -- continues. Journalist and filmmaker Dan Cohen joins the show. There’s a new international challenge to the Trump administration’s trade policy that disputes the “national security” justification the U.S. government cites as a pretext for tariffs. David Ewing, chair of the San Francisco chapter of the US-China People’s Friendship Association, joins Brian and John. More than 80 activist, political and labor organizations are signing on to a call to action, organizing demonstrations in cities across the country to show solidarity with the migrant caravan as it begins to arrive at the U.S.-Mexico border. The actions will be held this Sunday. Juliana Musheyev, a member of the Board of Directors of the Peace Education and Action Center who is involved in this weekend’s activities, joins the show.Again this week we’ll look at the worst, most misleading, funniest, and the just plain wrong headlines of the past week. Brian and John speak with Steve Patt, an independent journalist whose critiques of the mainstream media have been a feature of his blog Left I on the News.
