The very act of coming out as Queer late in life, be it to oneself, or ones family and friends, informs us that the individual has achieved a level of healing that is allowing them to bloom; This may look like, self alignment, and forgiveness, and possessing just enough confidence to exist openly in a world that has taught us we'd be safer and better if we weren't who we are. And Coming out creates more opportunities for healing to take place. Which also means we'll experience further periods and moments of pain, and grief as is normal when we are approaching and in healing. But healing can also feel uplifting and magical.
