When you study the etymology of the English word "worry," you'll discover that it is an Old English word that literally means “to strangle or to choke.” Have you ever dealt with worry before? Have you ever experienced anxiety that strangled the peace right out of your life? Just because worry is common, it doesn't mean it has to be normal. Philippians 4:6-7 says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
