Homily from the Third Sunday of Advent In seasons of waiting, do we complain or praise? While we are waiting, it can feel like nothing is happening. And yet, faith tells us that God is at work even when we can't yet see the fruit. Rather than complaining while we wait, there is another option. Mass Readings from December 14, 2025: Isaiah 35:1-6a, 10 Psalm 146:6-7, 8-9, 9-10 James 5:7-10 Matthew 11:2-11
This episode of Fed by the Fruit with KB takes you on a rich, Scripture-soaked journey through the life of Moses—from his miraculous rescue as a baby in Egypt to his leadership over millions of Israelites in the wilderness. KB walks through the major moments of Moses' story: his upbringing in Pharaoh's palace, his impulsive actions and flight to Midian, the burning bush encounter, the plagues, the Red Sea crossing, the giving of the Ten Commandments, and the establishment of the Old Covenant with God's people. You'll also learn how the tabernacle, sacrificial system, and the Day of Atonement all pointed forward to Jesus and the New Covenant. But this isn't just Bible history; it's deeply practical for your everyday walk with God. KB unpacks what Moses teaches us about waiting on God's timing instead of forcing our own, being faithful in the “valley” and the mundane, allowing God to shape our character in hidden seasons, and stepping out in courage when He calls—even after failure. You'll be reminded that God's ways and timing are better than ours, that His presence is what sets us apart, and that He is still writing redemption stories through imperfect people. If you're in a waiting season, wrestling with calling, or needing fresh encouragement to trust God, this Moses episode is for you. This episode serves as both an informative guide to embrace a healthier, more balanced lifestyle, encouraging listeners to embark on their journeys with renewed vigor and compassion.Reach out to KB on Instagram and share your thoughts.
Worth the Wait invites our church into the four Sundays of Advent, reflecting on Jesus' first coming and anticipating his return. Each week centers on one of the traditional Advent themes, marked by the lighting of the Advent wreath. We'll be guided by The Bible Project's Advent material and are sharing their daily devotional with our community as we explore what it means to live faithfully in “the in-between”—remembering Christ's arrival in Bethlehem while looking forward with hope to his coming again.
John the Baptist had a unique calling. He came not to give people what they'd always wanted—the good news of Jesus—but to help people wait well for it. Which, if we're honest, is kind of weird. Why wait? What good would that be? That's probably what we think when we hear that. But if we can understand God's intention, we can begin to understand how necessary waiting actually is. John's ministry shows us two values in waiting: In waiting we hear God's voice, and in waiting God prepares us for what we're waiting for. In this message, Pastor Joel explains how we can learn from John how to celebrate advent this Christmas season, and how we can learn to wait well for Jesus to return one day, too.
Homily from the Second Sunday of Advent. We worry while we wait. Advent teaches us not just to wait, but to trust while we wait. When we surrender worry and remember who God is, waiting becomes a place of grace instead of frustration. Mass Readings from December 7, 2025: Isaiah 11:1-10 Psalm 72:1-2, 7-8, 12-13, 17Romans 15:4-9 Matthew 3:1-12

This Advent we are journeying through the book of Matthew, his gospel in particular highlights how Jesus is the fulfilment of the old testament prophecies of the Messiah. This week Joren gives us a fantastic introduction as he reflects on the time between the old and new testaments, a season of waiting on God and how we remain in the waiting for the final fulfilment on Jesus' return. Joren asks us, are we waiting well and shares wisdom to secure our anchor of hope in Jesus. 4:15 The message begins

Waiting. None of us like it, though it seems to be an important part of human life. Join us as we explore the spiritual significance of waiting and how it connects us to the greater story of God. Advent is a time to pause and remember the deep longing that preceded the arrival of Jesus the Messiah. We'll unpack the history of the Israelites, who waited thousands of years for deliverance, and discover that waiting is not wasted time but a period where character is formed and trust is deepened. Learn how to "wait well" by actively trusting God, staying connected to community, and surrendering your desire to control outcomes in relationships, work, and finances. Finally, discover how to renew your strength and find hope in Jesus, the promised Savior who understands our struggles and remains with us through every delay Speaker: Angela Beise

Homily from the First Sunday of Advent. The process is the point. When we are waiting, we often want to be "done". We want to be "there". We want our waiting to be over so that we can start living. But life happens right here and right now. And God is doing something right now. We do not simply endure waiting, we engage during the waiting. The declaration of faithful waiting is: I am confident that this moment is crucial. Mass Readings from November 30, 2025: Isaiah 2:1-5 Psalm 122: 1-9Romans 13:11-14 Matthew 24:37-44

Do long waiting seasons leave you feeling anxious, disoriented and discouraged, particularly when they involve something for which you deeply long? Obviously, we can't "hurry" God along or "force His hand," but we can learn to wait in a way that strengthens our faith, deepens our relational intimacy with Christ, and prepares us for the very good plans He's forged uniquely for each of us. In this episode, Dove Award nominee, singer/songwriter Jamie Jangochian shares how God used her long battle with Lyme disease to bring about growth and reveal the new dreams He had for her. She also shares how to recognize the lies that hold us back, find inner healing through our interaction with Christ, and view our waiting seasons not as disappointments but divine appointments that prepare us for our next assignments. Ever feel like God is silent when you're praying for something close to your heart? In this message from 1 Samuel 1–2, we look at Hannah's story and discover that God's “delay” is actually patient preparation for something far greater than we imagine. When the provoking voices of doubt rise up, the truth is that God hasn't forgotten you—He's forming you. This sermon will help you see waiting not as wasted time but as the very place where His promises are matured and multiplied.

“We're active in our waiting, we're not passive. And part of being active is having a positive attitude and having a trusting attitude.” When we have to wait on something that we desire or need, does God want us to put our life on pause? No! In His Word, God describes many ways that we can wait well, staying active as we both live life to the fullest day by day and work toward our goals. Join Heather Malinowski as she interviews two ministers in this episode, a married couple, Edgar and Lindsey Mendoza, as they talk about how they have waited well in their own life's delays, and how they saw God at work for them when they trusted Him in the process. Presented at Curwensville Alliance on 7/6/25 by Pastor Steve Shields. Listen as Pastor Steve goes through Luke 19:11-27 and the parable of the ten minas. Waiting is more of an art than a science. Science has predictable events and repeatable outcomes. Art is more open-ended. Perhaps more from the heart. We play a role. We manage our mina. How do we play our role without a script? By knowing the Director. By knowing the big picture and the flow of the story. By knowing yourself. By being aware of need. By listening to the Holy Spirit.

When God writes your love story, it looks different from the world's version — and it's worth the wait.In today's episode of In Totality, I sit down with two of my dear friends, a married couple whose very first kiss was at the altar on their wedding day. We talk about their individual journeys of salvation, the seasons of preparation God led them through, and the faith it took to trust Him every step of the way.Their story is powerful, but it's important to remember: while this may not be exactly what God is specifically calling you to do in your waiting season, He is calling all of us to live lives of obedience, faith, and consecration. We dive deep into what it means to honor God not just in dating, but in every part of our walk with Christ. If you've ever wondered if it's still possible to live set apart in relationships today, this conversation will remind you: it is, and it's beautiful.Whether you're single, dating, or already married, I pray this episode encourages you to trust God's timing, obey His leading, and believe that His plans for you are better than anything you could write on your own.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
