How is your enthusiasm? You might think it's pretty good, but at Sitkins Group, Inc, we like to use the ending of the word, enthusIASM - I.A.S.M. - and use it as another acronym, I Am Sold Myself. So, as a leader in the insurance world, are you sold yourself on what you're doing? There's three questions Brent asks you around this area of enthusiasm: The first one is purpose. Your actual purpose. Are you really sold on your mission or your purpose? In fact, do you have your own personal mission statement? Do you have a true understanding of why you do we do what you do? Why do the things that you do matter so much? Whether you're leading your team or you're leading your clients, do you have a personal mission statement? That's your purpose, because if you aren't really sold on what it is that you do, why should anybody else be? Number two is this, are you really sold on your partners? That's a broad term, and this could be a number of different people. When you think about an agency, the partners certainly are our people on our team, our colleagues, sales, and service and leadership and claims, professionals, our partners, as our carriers. Are you really sold on the carriers you're working with? Are you really sold on the people that you're talking to, to build brand and awareness out in the community? And then the last one is this, are you really sold on your performance? The value that you provide as an agency leader, are you really sold on knowing that someone's going to be in a better place after doing something with you and your team. There are certain things that really successful agencies do, and Enthusiasm is an often overlooked one. Is your agency one of the enthusiastic, passionate, ones? Is your belief system at a deeper level, with those last four letters, I am Sold Myself, the first sale in any transaction. Do you really believe, are you really sold on the fact of what you do increases performance and value to those around you? To learn more about our programs, visit www.sitkins.com

It was like if you don't do this within your heart, it's gonna tear you apart.” - Brent Kelly “Transformation starts in a mindset, and you've got to do things to build the confidence to do that hanging around with people that you'd be in an environment with, and then you got to start to do the things that are going to build your skills.” - Brent Kelly “I need you to hold my feet to the fire. Because without it, I promise you, I'm gonna screw up and I'm gonna get off and I make excuses for myself because guess what, I am a human being, and I've been there many times. (5:23) Brent mentions one of the foundational elements that they teach and show agencies, are the 80/20 rule. (7:39) Brent shares that when he works with agencies, the key point is understanding the levers that move things to free up time. Because that’s the only diminishing asset that we have. (9:13) Brent shares that most producers spend 80% of the time in activities and only get 20% results, and it should be totally flipped. (9:48) Brent thinks that being busy is all around us, and it’s difficult to go deep in the right stuff. Because depth requires thought, depth requires consistency, and depth requires a commitment. (10:40) Brent mentions that DEEP stands for, Delivering Excellence in Every Process. (12:02) Brent mentions talks about HAWG: Hysterical Activity on the Way to the Grave. (15:42) Brent shares that agencies can grow up to 25% to 30%, by getting people to understand the value of their time, and be more proactive with that. And then focus on the right clients versus every client. (17:23) Brent mentions that the best way to get out of debt is to stop borrowing money. (20:49) Brent shares that next week, they will officially release all of the inclusive models to agencies to where every one of our trading programs, all of our tools, and resources are available. (40:48) Key Quotes: “I do feel like you hear the hockey stick growth, and not just financial I mean, just as far as learning and growth as a professional. So it's been a great opportunity for me and I'm having a blast doing it.” - Brent Kelly “You can get back the money, you can get back things, you can even restore some relationships, right? But you can’t get back your time. So, a big part of that is how do you prioritize in the right way, and finding that 80/20 is critical?” - Brent Kelly “Now, PIG is Profitable Income Growth, and that's what we want for predictable income. whatever it is, Don’t be a HAWG be a PIG.” - Brent Kelly “You’ve got to have some kind of structure or rule. So you're going to have guidelines and guardrails, you're going to go all over the place. So, if I knew what my minimum account size is, or if it's a personal line account, I know that I simply will not write a model on the account.” - Brent Kelly Resources Mentioned: Agency Intelligence Reach out to Jason Cass Reach out to Katlyn Eggar LinkedIn- Brent Kelly Sitkins Group, Inc. It's a sobering fact for sure, that your skill doing "the thing" has absolutely nothing to do with teaching it. Really it might be a liability more than anything, because part of that success could have been a result of natural skill others lack. He provides a brief summary of what he calls The Seven Principles of Building an Agency and his personal experience regarding each of the seven principles. “If you're not hearing 'wow' from your prospects, then you have fallen into that bucket known as 'an insurance agent'.” – Roger Sitkins Today on Spot On Insurance: The seven principles of building an agency. Why having the right people is the first step in starting an agency. What does it mean to have a culture of accountability? What is the “unique selling proposition” of an organization? The effect of professionalism on building an agency. The number one complaint most consumers have about the agents they deal with. The percent of automation many agencies use today. Should you fix your processes even after you've already established your agency? The benefits of having a good pipeline process. The two types of perpetuation.
