HEY HEY HEY! Welcome back to Teachers Talk Crime. We hope you have your drink ready, because you might need one. Today's lesson starts at 13:36. Peter James Smith kidnapped Amanda Behning from the parking lot of a Subway restaurant after she went off campus to grab lunch. He ordered her to drive him to a Ramada Inn in Charlotte and rent a room. He later forced her to drive him to buy beer and crack cocaine which he forced her to take part in. Hi everyone, welcome back to Teachers Talk Crime. Today's episode begins at about 17:10. If you fast forward, we understand but wish you wouldn't. Felicia LoAlbo-Melendez was just 11 years old when she tragically passed away. It is reported that she took her own life after being bullied at school by her peers. This is a conclusion her mother Elaina LoAlbo isn't ready to accept, and rightfully so. Felicia attended sixth grade at FW Holbein School in New Jersey, where she was found unresponsive in the school bathroom. Listen for insight on this case. This week in lieu of our normal episode, we are going to do two feature drops of some fellow podcasters that we love from our network. For todays feature drop, we are introducing Live Laugh Larceny, formerly Seriously Sinister. Trevin and Amanda do a fantastic job discussing lighter and less murdery types of crimes such as scams and petty crimes in a super serious and dramatic fashion. I never fail to crack up when I'm listening because - who would have thought something like a wardrobe malfunction would lead to intense dramatization? Anyway, This podcast is amazing and I feel like this is right up your alley because we all need a break from the super serious at times. I personally love them because it's a humorous type of irony and these are actual crimes. You can find Live Laugh Larceny on Apple podcasts, spotify or anywhere you get podcasts. Thank you Trevin and Amanda for giving us this episode to drop on our feed. Anyway please enjoy! The scammers are everywhere. Leave no clues and keep your identities to yourself. It's another criminal Wednesday! This week, Trevin is annoyed by other people expressing joy while Amanda shares the Top 5 movies with the most jump scares. Then, the crew shares two stories about big time scams. Hello Everyone and sorry for the two day delay... you know LIFE kicks your butt sometimes. This is our very first "high profile" case on Teachers Talk Crime and it still baffles me that Ashleigh did not know about the Natalee Holloway case prior to this. So, we hope we did it justice and as always DM us with your own thoughts and theories. Natalee Ann Holloway was born on October 21, 1986 and disappeared in Aruba on May 30, 2005. This made her only 18-years-old when she was last seen. This All-American young woman's mysterious disappearance made international news after she couldn't be located by her classmates the next morning. She is still considered missing to this day (17 years later) and although there are many theories and speculation no one has yet to be charged in her vanishing. If you have any information regarding Natalee Holloway please contact your local FBI office. Episode 17 besties! We hope you had a great weekend and are well relaxed on this Monday! Brooke is bringing us today's episode and as you saw from the title we are discussing one of the youngest American serial killers, Harvey Robinson. This is again a case of nature vs. nurture, because Harvey grew up in a troubled home that was full of abuse and abandonment. Harvey's father was an alcoholic and also convicted of murder before Harvey was born. However in the early 90's Harvey went on his murderous rampage and murdered three females varying in ages and left two survivors before being arrested while covered in blood and baked beans. This week Ashleigh is bringing you the case of Paris Lee Bennett. This case was circulating TikTok and it DEMANDED our attention and opinions. Paris Bennett was only 13 years old when he committed the horrific act that led us here today. He was sentenced to 40 years in prison and has remained in jail since 2007. IT'S HAPPY HOUR & THE MOON IS FULL! LET THE CRAZINESS BEGIN! Welcome to our second bonus episode, where we drink, curse, and talk about true crime! However on this episode, we have our first guest and it gets a little chatty. So, everyone welcome Kristyn to Teachers Talk Crime and awayyy we go! On this episode, Brooke will be covering the murder of Sara Starr, a young teacher with four kids who was brutally murdered in a hire for murder plot. This case takes place close to home, almost a little too close for Brooke and Kristyn. Sara Starr, who was shot execution style in her driveway, loved the teaching profession, her church community and her kids. So, grab your drink and let's get into it! Welcome to our first episode of Teachers Talk Crime. This podcast is about the two things Ashleigh and Brooke can't seem to stop talking about: True Crime and Education. Follow along with these two teachers who met on TikTok to discuss crimes committed by teens and maybe even teachers themselves. They hope to bring you a new perspective on the education system. This episode follows the case of Nicole Kasinskas. A 14 year old girl who plotted to kill her mother with her 17 year old boyfriend, Billy Sullivan. The pair met online and attempted to kill Nicole's mother, Jeanne Dominico multiple times over the course of their relationship, due to the fact she would not let the teens live together. A tale of teen love turning deadly in a matter of months.
