Carnival of Lies ////// Part 4 Part 4 of 4 www.TrueCrimeGarage.com May 25th is National Missing Children's Day. President Ronald Reagan proclaimed May 25, 1983 as the first National Missing Children's Day. He established the annual observance to bring national awareness to child safety and encourage communities to prioritize protection efforts. The date was chosen to mark the sad anniversary of the disappearance of Etan Patz, a six-year-old who vanished from a New York City street corner on May 25, 1979. Twelve years after Etan Patz disappeared and on National Missing Children's Day 1991, a five-year-old boy named Timothy Wiltsey vanished from a Carnival in Sayreville, New Jersey. This week in observance of National Missing Children's Day, we take a look at a case that will never leave the hearts and minds of many. This is the unsolved case of Timothy “Timmy” Wiltsey. In June 1988, 24-year-old truck driver David Churchill Jackson walked out of his Pembroke Pines, Florida apartment and completely vanished. He left behind a loving mother, a complicated past, and a young son who would grow up wondering what happened to his father. For fifteen years, David's disappearance remained a frozen mystery—until a cold case detective's vision board caught the eye of an unexpected visitor. In this chapter of The Book of the Dead, I explored the life of David Jackson, the devastating silence left in the wake of his disappearance, and the jaw-dropping twist that finally brought a hidden killer to justice decades later. This isn't just a story about how David died; it is about who he was, the family that never stopped looking for him, and why his memory matters.Connect with us on Social Media! You can find us at:Instagram: @bookofthedeadpodX: @bkofthedeadpodFacebook: The Book of the Dead PodcastTikTok: BookofthedeadpodOr visit our website at www.botdpod.comAFTER 7 YEARS, DISAPPEARANCE STILL MYSTERY. In the summer of 1997, fear spread across the campus of Arizona State University as reports surfaced of women being attacked while walking home alone at night. Students were warned to stay alert, travel in groups, and avoid being out after dark. But no one expected the danger to strike in broad daylight. When 21-year-old Fiona Yu was found brutally murdered inside her own apartment, investigators described the crime as a frenzied blitz attack. With little physical evidence and only the belief that Fiona may have known her killer, police scrambled to stop whoever was responsible before they struck again. Then, two more women were attacked in eerily similar ways, raising fears that a predator was targeting women near campus.Connect with us on Social Media! You can find us at:Instagram: @bookofthedeadpodX: @bkofthedeadpodFacebook: The Book of the Dead PodcastTikTok: BookofthedeadpodOr visit our website at www.botdpod.com12 News (KPNX). 29-year-old Katie Haley arrived home on a Friday night in March 2018 after a long shift at a Melbourne tavern. Her partner Shane had been messaging throughout the day, calls, accusations, jealousy, and control that had continued for hours... After reaching her limit, Katie stands up and starts packing a bag. She tells him the relationship is over. She’s leaving with their daughter. But she never makes it out the door. Today, we’re speaking with Katie’s sister, Bianca Unwin, who has since become an advocate for domestic violence awareness following her sister’s death, and who now speaks openly about coercive control and the warning signs that were not fully recognised at the time. In this episode Jeff tears apart the latest assassination attempt against Donald Trump and the staggering security failures that allowed it to happen. From an armed suspect getting dangerously close to the president to the laughable claims that the system “worked” Jeff explains why this was a complete disgrace and why the response afterward was even worse. Jeff then breaks down the war with Iran and how what started with clear objectives quickly unraveled. Bad advice, unrealistic expectations and a fundamental misunderstanding of the enemy have led to a situation where Iran is now dictating terms. Trump's focus on markets and public perception over actual victory has turned a position of strength into an avoidable mess. The bigger problem is what this moment represents. Jeff argues this was likely the last real chance to cripple the world's leading terror regime and instead the United States blinked. The result is a stronger more emboldened enemy and a future that looks far more dangerous than it needed to be. Receive new episodes directly in your inbox: https://beyondthelegallimit.com/subscribe

One year after Johnny Gosch went missing, Danny Joe Eberle was abducted during his early morning paper route. Send Kris and Rob a Text Message! In March 2022, Eric Richins was found dead in his Kamas, Utah bedroom. He was 39. He had four children. And he had enough fentanyl in his system to kill four people. His wife, Kouri Richins, told investigators she found him unresponsive. But prosecutors told a different story — one involving forged documents, fraudulent mortgages, multiple life insurance policies, and what they alleged was a prior poisoning attempt months earlier. Then came the detail that stopped the country: while awaiting trial for her husband's murder, Kouri Richins published a children's book about coping with loss. It was called "Are You With Me?" This podcast covers the full arc of the Richins case — from the marriage that unraveled into financial ruin, to the trial that transfixed Utah in 2024. In this podcast, Jeff discusses the attack on the Iranian terror regime by the U.S. and Israel — and the impact on the Middle East and the world. Will loud MAGA voices continue to do all they can to stop the fall of the mullahs of Iran? Or will they put aside their anti-semitism for the sake of America and the free world?

Justice was shockingly ripped from Leisl Smith’s family when her killer ended his own life. For more than 13 years, Jerildene Cane fought for answers over her little sister’s disappearance. And in September 2025, they finally got them when a coroner handed down her findings. Jerildene joins Gary Jubelin on this bonus episode of I Catch Killers to reflect on the unprecedented decision, fighting the legal system and how her refusal to accept “no” might potentially change the law for other families. Catch up on Jerildene’s past I Catch Killers podcast interviews. Part one is here, part two is here, and a bonus from the Coroner’s Court is here. Want to hear more from I Catch Killers? In 1942, two Abwehr German agents, including Johannes Eppler, slipped into Cairo to gather intelligence for Rommel's desert campaign, getting help from local allies like the famous dancer Hekmet Fahmy and Anwar Sadat. Despite their efforts to infiltrate British circles, the whole operation eventually fell apart once Allied intelligence caught on. My guest, once again, is Gavin Whitehead, creator of The Art of Crime Podcast. His sixth season of the show (all about espionage) is now available wherever podcasts are heard.
