Shayne and Matt discuss the high school sports "off season" or summer break. On the heels of a Kentucky High School Athletic Association decision to implement a mandatory no contact period in the summer, we discuss whether or not that's a good idea for Ohio and/or individual school districts. The discussion also goes into what should parents, players, and coaches expect out of the off season.

Summer often promises freedom, rest, and joy— but reality doesn’t always match the dream. Between busy parenting schedules, financial constraints, and constant demands, finding rest can feel like just another to-do. In today’s devotional, Amanda Idleman reminds us that rest isn’t a luxury—it’s a spiritual necessity. Even Jesus paused. And He invites us to do the same. Whether your summer includes an exotic getaway or quiet backyard mornings, this prayerful reflection urges us to shift our mindset and embrace intentional stillness. Rest doesn’t require a plane ticket—just a willing heart and open spirit. ✨ What You’ll Learn: Why rest is not selfish, but sacred How to find soul-level restoration even if you can’t take a vacation Simple practices to help slow down and reconnect with God this summer Encouragement for parents and those feeling weary from daily demands

Natalie is joined by sex educator Erica Smith to talk about how our obsession with purity culture affects the quality of sex education we are given. Sex education should be something that is delivered to people without bias and without the idea that virginity and religion should be at the center of your sexual identity. Erica is the creator of the Purity Culture Dropout program that aims to provide support to people who are wanting to de-program from purity culture and take part in sex education that is queer inclusive, safe, and informative. The episode will center around how we became so purity driven when it came to sexuality, the consequences we face when sex is only viewed from the lens of religious morality, and what steps we can be taking to make sure we are talking about sex in ways that everyone has the knowledge to make decisions based in how they actually feel.Follow us at @menivetoleratedpod on Instagram!https://www.patreon.com/menivetoleratedpod on Patreon for bonus content! If your business stops the second you do, you don't have a business. You have a very expensive job. Wealth and financial freedom aren't about how much you make, they're about how much choice you have. True freedom is the ability to go deep with your clients, or take a step back, without your revenue or team falling apart in your absence. And as we roll into summer, I know stepping away might sound like a luxury you can't afford. In this episode, I share the tactical ways you can create time freedom in your calendar this summer to take some much-deserved time off… without your business falling apart.

1:25: Last week, Mike Vrabel talked about the message he wanted to deliver to the players before they left for the break. What was the prime directive Hogan and the rest of the team got from Bill Belichick before they left for the summer? “Don't be an assh*le.” 4:30: How do you as a player get away from the game, but also want to try and stay sharp? Are you running on a beach somewhere at 6 a.m. at a resort? “I remember taking my wife to Turks & Caicos and we were doing hill sprints at 7 o'clock in the morning.” 7:15: We asked Vrabel what he was going to do over the next four weeks or so, and he talked about time with family. He also said you sort of got cranky over the last 10 days or so, because you were just ready for things to start. What did you do during your time away, and did you get squirrelly at all in those last 10 days or so before the start of camp? “Yeah, you get anxious,” said Hogan. 10:00: Training camp is all football, but there's also anxiety and excitement and anticipation. “I'll see you at Thanksgiving.” What is the best thing and worst thing about this time of year for a player? 16:00: Price is working on a story on John “Stretch” Streicher, Vrabel's No. 2 guy who has been described by some as the new Ernie Adams. With this in mind, what is Hogan's favorite Ernie Adams story? “Ernie was always a damn mystery to me. For the first year and a half, I didn't know who the guy was. … He was a really interesting individual.” 21:15: Ernie was a one-man analytics department in Foxborough. 21:40: On Drake as a leader. Does he have the capability to take that step from rookie quarterback to captain/leader? “He can't be afraid to be an assh*le.” 27:10: On Maye leading the spring workouts. He would call out a cadence and if the team jumped, they'd run again. He had the reins. “I think that's a good sign. …. For this team to be successful, [Maye] needs to continue to mature into a genuine leader.” 30:25: On Brady telling Gronk he wouldn't throw him the ball if he kept making mistakes. “I don't care how good you are.” Brady was “so detail-oriented.” On building trust with pass catchers. 35:12: Over/under on Stefon Diggs. We take 70 catches, 950 yards, and five touchdowns. Over or under on all three?

This Summer Break Replay is in honor of Taylor Swift owning her entire music catalogue.f you haven't heard, Natalie went to the Eras Tour. That means she has been doing a deep dive on her favorite songs from Taylor Swift. Which means that she has also been reflecting on how misogyny plays into the songs she has written and how widespread everyday misogyny is reflected throughout Taylor's career. Elizabeth Kyle is the perfect Swiftie to help guide Natalie through this conversation. The two women discuss the social dynamics that goes into being a Swiftie, the focus on the men she has had relationships with, and how she has been treated as a professional in the music industry. Between the two of them, they go straight from a Lover to their Midnights Era, and talk about how being aware of how internalized misogyny and widespread cultural misogyny affects people on a larger scale. Topics that are confronted are the way we view success among women creators, to the way we talk about women who have had bad relationships, and how we talk about other women's bodies and our own bodies.
