Natalie is joined by sex educator Erica Smith to talk about how our obsession with purity culture affects the quality of sex education we are given. Sex education should be something that is delivered to people without bias and without the idea that virginity and religion should be at the center of your sexual identity. Erica is the creator of the Purity Culture Dropout program that aims to provide support to people who are wanting to de-program from purity culture and take part in sex education that is queer inclusive, safe, and informative. The episode will center around how we became so purity driven when it came to sexuality, the consequences we face when sex is only viewed from the lens of religious morality, and what steps we can be taking to make sure we are talking about sex in ways that everyone has the knowledge to make decisions based in how they actually feel.Follow us at @menivetoleratedpod on Instagram!https://www.patreon.com/menivetoleratedpod on Patreon for bonus content! And as we roll into summer, I know stepping away might sound like a luxury you can't afford. In this episode, I share the tactical ways you can create time freedom in your calendar this summer to take some much-deserved time off… without your business falling apart.

1:25: Last week, Mike Vrabel talked about the message he wanted to deliver to the players before they left for the break. What was the prime directive Hogan and the rest of the team got from Bill Belichick before they left for the summer? “Don't be an assh*le.” 4:30: How do you as a player get away from the game, but also want to try and stay sharp? Are you running on a beach somewhere at 6 a.m. at a resort? “I remember taking my wife to Turks & Caicos and we were doing hill sprints at 7 o'clock in the morning.” 7:15: We asked Vrabel what he was going to do over the next four weeks or so, and he talked about time with family. He also said you sort of got cranky over the last 10 days or so, because you were just ready for things to start. What did you do during your time away, and did you get squirrelly at all in those last 10 days or so before the start of camp? “Yeah, you get anxious,” said Hogan. 10:00: Training camp is all football, but there's also anxiety and excitement and anticipation. “I'll see you at Thanksgiving.” What is the best thing and worst thing about this time of year for a player? 16:00: Price is working on a story on John “Stretch” Streicher, Vrabel's No. 2 guy who has been described by some as the new Ernie Adams. With this in mind, what is Hogan's favorite Ernie Adams story? “Ernie was always a damn mystery to me. For the first year and a half, I didn't know who the guy was. … He was a really interesting individual.” 21:15: Ernie was a one-man analytics department in Foxborough. 21:40: On Drake as a leader. Does he have the capability to take that step from rookie quarterback to captain/leader? “He can't be afraid to be an assh*le.” 27:10: On Maye leading the spring workouts. He would call out a cadence and if the team jumped, they'd run again. He had the reins. “I think that's a good sign. …. For this team to be successful, [Maye] needs to continue to mature into a genuine leader.” 30:25: On Brady telling Gronk he wouldn't throw him the ball if he kept making mistakes. “I don't care how good you are.” Brady was “so detail-oriented.” On building trust with pass catchers. 35:12: Over/under on Stefon Diggs. We take 70 catches, 950 yards, and five touchdowns. Over or under on all three?

This Summer Break Replay is in honor of Taylor Swift owning her entire music catalogue.f you haven't heard, Natalie went to the Eras Tour. That means she has been doing a deep dive on her favorite songs from Taylor Swift. Which means that she has also been reflecting on how misogyny plays into the songs she has written and how widespread everyday misogyny is reflected throughout Taylor's career. Elizabeth Kyle is the perfect Swiftie to help guide Natalie through this conversation. The two women discuss the social dynamics that goes into being a Swiftie, the focus on the men she has had relationships with, and how she has been treated as a professional in the music industry. Between the two of them, they go straight from a Lover to their Midnights Era, and talk about how being aware of how internalized misogyny and widespread cultural misogyny affects people on a larger scale. Topics that are confronted are the way we view success among women creators, to the way we talk about women who have had bad relationships, and how we talk about other women's bodies and our own bodies. And that's some real Vigilante Shit.Follow us at @menivetoleratedpod on Instagram and https://www.patreon.com/menivetoleratedpod on Patreon for bonus content! In Ephesians 5, Paul tells us to look carefully about how we walk, “not as unwise, but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.” With the summer months approaching and the kids soon getting out of school, we want to encourage you to work with your kids to get off their screens, get out of the house, and make the most of the time rather than wasting their time on foolish pursuits. Here are some suggestions. For those who are old enough, have them secure a summer job. All of our kids should be required to perform daily and weekly chores around the house. Have them engage in outside yard work. Help them look for opportunities to volunteer. If they are too old to participate in your churches vacation Bible School, have them volunteer as helpers. Guide them to develop a short list of books to read over the summer months. Encourage them to develop a daily exercise plan. Teach them how to get into the habit of having daily devotions. Encourage your kids to have a wise summer.

He explains the steps and measures he took to create his first game, Allow Me to Mansplain and the ways he intentionally crafted rules and gameplay to foster discussions around the concept of mansplaining. The episode also dives into what is currently taken into consideration when it comes to diversity in game creation and where we need to head next to make sure gaming is a welcoming place for everyone. Natalie and Kervin also share their personal experiences of wanting a safe, diverse community to play games with and what it's like when you're having a hard time finding it or you're not being heard when explaining why the current situation isn't making you feel safe and welcomed.Make sure you have subscribed to us on Patreon! What if the most ancient hate in the world is making a stunning comeback—and most people don't even realize it?In this eye-opening episode of Thrive LouD, Lou Diamond sits down with multi-talented performer, activist, and host of the "Being Jewish" podcast, Jonah Platt. Together, they pull back the curtain on the recent explosion of antisemitism, revealing why it's not a new phenomenon or a fleeting internet trend, but part of a centuries-old playbook that has found new fuel in today's social media-driven world.Key Highlights:Jonah's Personal & Professional Journey: Jonah shares his evolution from a Broadway performer and producer to one of the most recognized Jewish voices online, candidly discussing how personal experiences, world events, and even being diagnosed with ADHD shaped his path.October 7 and Its Aftermath: Lou and Jonah dissect how the tragedy in Israel became a catalyst for a global surge in antisemitism, and what makes this wave of hate so coordinated, widespread, and insidious.Left vs. Right—Understanding Modern Antisemitism: The episode explores why anti-Jewish sentiment shows up differently on the political right and left, outlining how exclusion and double standards have quietly pushed Jews out of certain social circles and institutions.Breaking Out of Echo Chambers: Jonah explains his intentional approach to reaching non-Jewish audiences, offering practical strategies for making Jewish history, identity, and reality accessible and compelling for all.Turning Shock Into Action: Both Lou and Jonah discuss why now is the time for every listener—Jewish or not—to get involved, whether through speaking up, supporting education, or taking part in community initiatives.Action Steps for Listeners:Educate Yourself & Others: Use Jonah's and Lou's recommended resources—like the "Being Jewish" podcast or the book Jews Don't Count—to gain a deeper understanding of Jewish identity and anti-Jewish hate.Get Out of Your Algorithm Bubble: Proactively engage with diverse voices online; follow, comment, and share Jewish creators and moderate voices to help humanize complex issues.Support Inclusive Education: If you're an influencer, business leader, or educator, create space for open discussions about Jews and antisemitism, and advocate for Jewish inclusion in DEI initiatives.Show Up Locally: Attend school board and town hall meetings, and encourage representation and support for Jewish groups within your community and at universities.Don't Wait for Others to Act—Start Now: Whether it's having a conversation, supporting Jewish creators, or volunteering behind the scenes, find one actionable step and take it.This isn't just a conversation for the Jewish community—Jonah and Lou make it clear that fighting hatred and building bridges is everyone's responsibility. Tune in, get inspired, and discover how you can be part of moving “the ball up the court” in the fight against bigotry and for a more inclusive future.TIMESTAMPED OVERVIEW00:00 "Exploring Jewish Identity in Media"05:07 From Side Hustle to Influencer08:59 Understanding ADHD and Self-Acceptance12:42 Navigating Antisemitism and Identity14:11 Resurgence of Right-Wing Antisemitism18:11 Foreign Influence Fuels Antisemitism21:39 Inclusive and Educational Show Success23:29 Engage and Invest Strategically28:26 Intentional Podcast Success32:05 Struggling to Fully Delegate33:23 Summer Break for Show Expansion37:03 Inception: A Film-Only Masterpiece40:11 FlyKit: Jet Lag Solution Product43:25 Respect Every Role and Task
