On Eavesdroppin' comedy podcast this week, Geordie co-hosts the episode with special guest Crystobelle Mathew-Rosacorde, a gorgeous Gen Z true-crime lover who steps in to co-host in Michelle's absence… What happens when you want to throw a party and your parents won't let you? You kill them, obviously... This week, Geordie looks at the grisly case of Tyler Hadley, an angry 18 year old student from Port St Lucie, Florida, who didn't let strict parents get in the way of throwing a good party. Listen now to find out more! Our special guest host Crystobelle follows with a deep dive into the creepy life and times of Greg James Daniel, aka Onision: a sketchy YouTube star from the early 2000s known for grooming teenage girls and giving them sex tips... When Crystobelle discovered Onision on YouTube in 2015 at the age of 12, she was instantly obsessed with the mildly attractive 'emo' dude who let the drama of his life play out online. But the more successful Onision became on YouTube, the more he abused and mistreated the women in his life. From harassing ex wives and girlfriends to asking young girls to submit pictures of their bodies so he could rate them, Onision's online presence was questionable. Throw into the mix an attempt at starting a cult, plus allegations of child neglect and having sex with minors and you get the picture. Listen now to find out more.So pop on your headphones, grab a brown lemonade and join Geordie & Crys for this week's episode. This week we are Port St. Lucy or as the young people would have called it Port St. Lousy. I'm sure it can go without saying that Port St. Lucy is not in anyone's top 10 destinations to travel for a good time. A stark contrast to its far away neighbor Miami. That may be why Michael Mandell was shocked to be standing in the middle of a house party being thrown by his best friend, Tyler Hadley. This party had teens and young adults dancing, drinking and doing several illegal substances all without much interference from Tyler. And I'm sure the thought and question going through Michael and anyone who knew Tyler would be, how was he going to explain this to his parents?Join us while we discuss the case of Tyler Hadley and his last party. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/latanya-pauline-mitchell/support
On July 16, 2011, 17-year-old Tyler Hadley was preparing to have a party at his parent's house. He had been planning this event for a few weeks, but Tyler didn't post on Facebook until that day. He told everyone that his parents were out of town and that it was time to party! That evening, around 60 teenagers would go to the Hadley household in Port St. Lucie, Florida, having no idea the horror that occurred just hours earlier. Tyler Hadley, was seemingly just a 17 year old highschool introvert. When Tyler started to experience anxiety and depression, in his mid-teens, he also started drinking heavily, and doing drugs regularly, to cope with those issues. His mother; Mary Jo, did absolutely everything she could to help, but nothing, Mary Jo, or Blake Hadley could do for their son, Tyler would help. And, what would transpire on July 16th of 2011, would impact the lives of many. This is the Case of The Murders of Blake and Mary Jo HadleySupport the showIf you're interested in receiving bonus episodes, early release dates, an everything scary sticker and ‘thank you' as well as a shout out on our regular feed! True crime is back! In case you're new here, this is a True Crime and Supernatural show. It's been a while, but this week Zoey brings back the true crime element with the story of Tyler Hadley, a Florida teen with troubles. Tyler's parents, Blake and Mary-Jo Hadley told him that by the end of the summer, they were going to put him into a drug rehab facility. Tyler made the decision to then kill both his parents, then throw a huge party. But the real kicker is that the bodies of his parents were still in the house while the teenagers were partying. This week's episode is a grim one. But before we get into it, Robin lists off popular Southern foods and your hosts track how many they have had before. Robin, of course, scores high, but Zoey's score may surprise you.CW: Mentions of Suicide. Sources: https://hauntedhospitality.wordpress.com/2022/09/13/ep-76-the-party-to-end-all-others/

Tyler Hadley was a troubled child that wanted to kill his own parents. On the morning of July 16th, 2011 he decided that would be the day he would go through with the murders. Tyler proceeded to throw a huge party at his parents house while they were dead in their bedroom.
The Hadleys lived in Port St. Lucie, Florida, a town that was not built with teenagers in mind. There was only one movie theater but seven funeral homes, and the mall was pretty far away. There wasn't much to do, but on Saturday, July 16, 2011, the teenagers of Port St. Lucie had big plans - Tyler Hadley was throwing a party. No one could believe that Tyler's parents would let him throw a party - he'd been in a lot of trouble recently, and they were strict. But Tyler insisted - the party was on. Part 2 of the Tyler Hadley Story In 2011, Mary Jo and Blake Hadley had it up to their ears with their younger son, Tyler, who was 17 and already doing drugs, drinking, battling mental illness, and they didn't know what to do. They had tried therapy, inpatient programs, and medications to help calm his brain battles. On July 16, 2011, after having his phone and car taken away for coming home drunk one too many times, Tyler had convinced himself that his parents no longer loved him and that only left one thing for him to do: Kill them and go out with the biggest party ever. When you still live with your parents and you decide to throw a house party, the first thing you might do is check with your parents and see if it's cool. Then maybe straighten up a little and promise to clean up afterward. But, for 17-year-old Tyler Hadley, none of that happened. His strict parents didn't agree to a party, because he was grounded. So, Tyler's Project X party plan consisted of getting rid of his parents first and then cleaning up the house to get rid of the evidence. On July 16, 2011, he posted on Facebook: "party at my crib tonight... maybe." When a friend asked him about the parents, he assured him that they would not be there. Little did the party-goers know, that when they flocked into his crib in Port St. Lucie, Florida at 10 p.m. to drink, smoke cigarettes and pot, pee on the neighbor's lawn, take selfies and play beer pong all night long, his parents were actually there. Tyler Hadley casually killed both of his parents before inviting 60 guests to his house for a party. Their massacred bodies were upstairs in the master bedroom. Tyler, who was high on ecstasy, xanys and also drunk, told his friend what he had done. News spread around the party with lightning speed. On July 16th, 2011, a troubled 17 year old named Tyler Hadley managed to throw the house party of the year and every high school / college aged kid in Port St. Lucie Florida was talking about it. At this party, anything went. No rules, no restrictions, no parents, it was a teenage paradise, but one question remained, where were Tyler's parents? Tyler told anyone who asked that they had gone out of town, knowing full well that in reality, his parents had never left the house, and that nearly a hundred people had been unknowingly dancing on their grave. Tyler Hadley's case may sound like the story of another run of the mill angry young man, but it's much more than that. It poses terrifying question, how well do any of us know our own kids? Tyler Hadley was 17 years old when he decided to bludgeon his parents and then throw the rager of a lifetime (in his eyes.) Close to a hundred people attended this party not knowing that in a separate locked bedroom down the hall, the bodies of Mary Jo and Blake Hadley were laying under a hodgepodge of household items. We redid this case to offer some new information and woah, somehow it's even more disturbing the second time around. BUT to lighten some of the darkest moments, we have added in clips from the original episode because we could never replace the original "FA SHO!!" ;) A Thousand Fireflies by Ryan Hadley See How Much You Love Me by Amber Hunt Tyler Hadley's Killer Party by Nathaniel Rich for Rolling Stone HelloFresh: Go to HelloFresh.com/morbid12 and use code morbid12 for twelve free meals, including free shipping!
