Warmest of Welcomes everybody This month on the Mooglecast, Max and Zac share a one to one episode with no guest chair, no scripts, just a general chat about a variety of topics including trophy hunting burn out (R.I.P Gary), Dissidia NT 7 years later and series of games we overlooked in our lives. for the pre show we discuss the mystery of socialising aswell as usual run of the show, plat shout outs and a Tomb Raider focused entry of The Record. As Max over explains Tomb Raider has multiple era's that are suitable for retro and classic gamers and modern gamers Max and Zac both gush about GOTY contender Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and list some games that have completely been missed by them including Persona, Sly Cooper and The Evil Within. Lastly Zac has come up with a fun and mysterious new data-tastic way to tackle his backlog that compromises on finishing games and still earning some trophies, have the boys entered a new chapter in the trophy hunting meta game? Only one way to find out, as Aerosmith once said, 'Just Push Play'. Next month Colin and Zac will be taking the Mooglecast in an Xbox Direction but until then be excellent to eachother. Max

It's April! In celebration of April Fools' month, every week this month we at the Part-Time Fanboy clubhouse will be talking about our favorite “bad” movies. Andy catches up with Marko in this super chill episode of Beyond Synth, where they dive into all the usual nonsense — candy cravings, weird chocolate bar names, and the eternal mystery of Tim Hortons. There's also a solid chunk of video game talk: Marko dishes on finishing Baldur's Gate 3, Robocop, and Evil Within 2 (aka “the milk game”), while Andy finally gets deep into Metal Gear Solid V and rants about how good old games still look and play today. They bond over overpriced game releases, modding drama, and how emulators often outdo the actual companies. Of course, it's all soundtracked by killer synth tunes! just two buds talking games, music, and life. These yokai better watch out! After a brief sojourn, the Xbox Game Pass "Surprise Me" button is back in control of game selection. For this episode, it has chosen the first-person action title developed by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda Softworks. Following in the wake of their Evil Within franchise, the developers have hung on to some elements of horror, but also diverged from their usual mechanics to craft a more action-heavy experience. Will these elements find the right balance, or will they be locked in a struggle for control just like the game's dual protagonists? NOAH: Is Evil Within or Acquired? - STUMP THE RABBI (219) https://youtu.be/FJTh_JY2Lgs Experts studying the Nazi war criminals debated whether these people were inherently evil from birth or it was acquired. In Parashat Noah HaShem says Evil is within man, but the sages explain that there is a deeper meaning to how it got there. Once we understand the source, it becomes easier to remove it, and tonight we'll learn about some of the benefits of doing just that. This will be followed by your live questions about different topics. Enjoy, Share, Learn and Be Holy.

With spooky season right around the corner, the brothers start the celebration by delving into the survival horror genre. First up is The Evil Within, directed by Shinji Mikami and released in October 2014 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. This is one of the longest games the brothers have reviewed to date so there is much to discuss. Tom and Pete complain about what the brothers have dubbed “the Scooby-Doo battle”. Ant and Tom are pretty sure they know what a phonograph is and Pete gets confused about what might cause explosions of flammable material. Ant and Tom impress with their death totals, but in different ways. In the latter half of the episode, the brothers discuss the confusing story behind the game and Ant rattles off all the survival horror cliches that were jammed into this game. This week the brothers ask what upgrade would you choose to be your first if you were in your own personal survival horror experience? Run further without losing your breath, hold more ammunition, health upgrade to take more hits from enemies. In the podcast "Hidden Killers with Tony Brueski," psychotherapist and author Shavaun Scott discusses the deeply troubling case of Matthew Farwell, a police officer who began grooming Sandra Birchmore from the age of 12 and later engaged in a sexual relationship with her, which he encouraged to remain covert. The conversation explores the psychological complexity behind individuals like Farwell, who prey on vulnerable young girls, and questions why such predatory behavior persists in institutions like law enforcement. The discussion highlights the importance of preventing unsupervised interactions between adults and children in settings like police programs, schools, and other organizations, suggesting stricter rules and greater integration of women to reduce the risk of abuse. Scott emphasizes that while it is tragic that society needs such safeguards, they are necessary to protect children and maintain public trust in these institutions. The conversation also touches on how generational trauma and historical neglect have allowed such behaviors to go unchecked for too long, stressing the need for accountability and cultural change to better protect vulnerable individuals. Matthew Farwell groomed Sandra Birchmore from age 12 and engaged in a sexual relationship with her. Hidden Killers With Tony Brueski | True Crime News & Commentary
KI TITZE WAR AGAINST EVIL WITHIN - STUMP THE RABBI (215) https://youtu.be/O97MH5W3N44 The Masters of Mussar coin the first verse of Parashat Ki Titze as symbolic to the war against our own evil inclination. Some would say that what is evil to one may be pleasure for another, so how do we know what is evil? In times of ignorance and confusion, the holy Torah is here to remind us what is evil in the eyes of HaShem. After we learn that, we'll cover some of your questions and make sure we've all received our spiritual nourishment for the day. Enjoy, Learn, Share and Be Holy. #KiTitze #Judaism #Jewish #Parashat #ParashatKiTitze #RabbiYaronReuven #Torah #ParashatHaShavua #Shabbat

Using LACHASH to Defeat Evil Within: Torat HaChassidut (6) https://youtu.be/m_aWMpqkQuM What is a LACHASH and how can it help us defeat those horrible feelings and traits within? Rebbi Elimelech of Lezhinsk's Tzeitel Katan goes deeper into the world of Kabbalah to give us extraordinary tools that can help each person eliminate the evil and thereby get closer to HaShem. Though not widely known, these were some of the tools mentioned at the time of the Talmud and still used today by scholars that are more aware of the ongoing war within than the war outside. Enjoy, Learn, Share and Be Holy.

It's yet another sad day for the industry - Unfortunately just another week of mass layoffs, studio closures, and project cancellations thanks to out-of-touch, overpaid executives and bad management. On the morning of May 7th, Microsoft officially (and unexpectedly) closed down Arkane Austin, Tango Gameworks, Roundhouse Games, and Alpha Dog studio. As a result, hundreds of talented folks are suddenly unemployed and the future of promising IP like Hi-Fi Rush, Evil Within, and Prey are now in indefinitely in limbo. Of course, Sony is also in a hell of their own making (albeit a temporary one) thanks to a wildly misguided decision regarding Helldivers 2. It's a lot to unpack this week but it's not all doom and gloom; Nick takes the time to share his thoughts on the wacky world of INDIKA.
