A look into Orson Welles' final film, the posthumously edited and released: The Other Side of the Wind; as well as the Netflix documentary which accompanies the film: They'll Love Me When I'm Dead. Both film and documentary showcase, in their own way, the declining years of Welles himself and his on-screen stand-in while giving form to the anxious changes taking place in Hollywood during the late 60s- the collapse of the studio system and the emergence of youth culture as the dominant creative force of the coming decade.
Joel Murphy and Lars Periwinkle share their thoughts on the Academy Awards telecast. Joel also discusses the creepy doll horror movie The Boy and the Orson Welles biopic They'll Love Me When I'm Dead.

They'll Love Me When I'm Dead"**. I Do Not Care If We Go Down in History As Barbarians"**.
This week is a true cinephile’s delight. We’re diving into They’ll Love Me When I’m Dead, a new documentary directed by Academy Award Winning filmmaker Morgan Neville. They’ll Love Me When I’m Dead chronicles the making of Orson Welles’s previously unfinished final film, The Other Side Of The Wind. Today on the podcast we have Karina Longworth interviewing director Morgan Neville about all things Orson Welles. Karina hosts the beloved Hollywood history podcast, You Must Remember This, and recently released her first book, Seduction: Sex, Lies, and Stardom in Howard Hughes's Hollywood. Karina and Morgan talk about the making of They'll Love Me When I'm Dead, Orson Welles' impact and why they went with that title. Spoiler alert: it's a great title! While this interview is not actually spoiler heavy, both films are available on Netflix if you want to watch either before listening.
Erin and Paul review two mid-'80s comedies about people experiencing "one wild night" in the big, scary city: Martin Scorsese's Kafkaesque 1985 black comedy AFTER HOURS, and Chris Columbus' 1987 teen romp ADVENTURES IN BABYSITTING. Christopher Cross and Dylan Schwan are here to inform you on one of the most interesting remakes made this century with Luca Guadagnino's Suspiria. They make sure to compare and contrast with Dario Argento's 1977 original film just in case anyone needed to hear that. They go into the multiple changes and additional plotlines in the new film as well as how (un)necessary some of them ended up being. Dylan and Chris took the time to see The Other Side of the Wind, the final film from Orson Welles released by Netflix. They go into the background troubles of the film as well as the legitimacy of labelling it an Orson Welles film when he wasn't around to finish it. Dylan watched the companion documentary, They'll Love Me When I'm Dead, directed by Morgan Neville, to confirm all the theories he had about the film as he watched it. Next week, Chris and Dylan witness the new Bad Robot film, Overlord. As the first R-rated release by the production company, will it give them another attempt at making a good movie? Should they keep handing multi million dollar films to untested directors? Find out next week. You can find Film Fallout every week on iTunes, Soundcloud, Facebook, and Instagram, as well as anything else that pulls an RSS Feed. The podcast (@filmfalloutcast), Chris (@HammerkopCross), and Dylan (@DreaminDylanS) are also on Twitter. You can also find Chris' film writing at goombastomp.com. Please feel free to share the podcast with anyone who may enjoy it, and rate and subscribe on iTunes to help spread the word as much as possible!
