Salomón no fue un bohemio cualquiera, ni un filósofo frustrado con ínfulas de influencer espiritual. Fue rey, sabio, millonario, artista, arquitecto, seductor, coleccionista de mujeres y de viñedos… en resumen: un volcán humano en plena erupción de proyectos y placeres. Pero terminó apagado.Como esos volcanes majestuosos que ya no humean, Salomón se ve a sí mismo en el espejo de su biografía y dice: “todo es vanidad”. ¿El resumen de su existencia bajo el sol? Un álbum de selfies de lo logrado… pero sin alma.EL BUFFET DEL MUNDO: HARTAZGO SIN SACIEDADObserve la precisión quirúrgica de los verbos en el capítulo: “Me engrandecí... me hice... adquirí... amontoné... me hice huertos... probé...” (Ecl. 2:4–10). Verbos activos, contundentes, sedientos. Parece una lista de propósitos de año nuevo para algún coach secular de YouTube. Pero Salomón no era un amateur del hedonismo; fue un catedrático con doctorado en placeres.“No negué a mis ojos ninguna cosa que desearan” (v.10) — El eslogan del mundo moderno. Compró, contrató, construyó, cantó, comió, y coleccionó… mujeres, lujos, logros y éxito - ¿Resultado? Ceniza. Fastidio. Hastío.LA CONTABILIDAD DEL ALMA: SALDO ROJOSalomón hace un inventario espiritual en los versos finales. Y lo que encuentra no es gozo sino desilusión existencial: “Volví yo entonces a mirar la sabiduría, y los desvaríos y la necedad...” (v.12) - Mira su propio legado con la frialdad de un contable que cierra su negocio en quiebra. Lo tuvo todo... y no tiene nada. La fiesta terminó, el vino se acabó, los músicos se fueron, y el alma sigue sedienta.Sí, la vida debajo del sol, esa expresión que repite como una letanía lúgubre, no tiene agua viva, ni pan verdadero, ni tesoros que no se corrompan. Solo tiene promesas infladas con humo. Todo aquello que parecía gloria, terminó siendo diamantina barata.UNA HISTORIA DIFERENTE.Pablo pudo saber lo que Salomón no conoció; que Cristo es el banquete del alma; y todo lo demás es migaja de mendigo. ¡Qué contraste glorioso es la vida de Pablo! No tuvo palacio, ni concubinas, ni jardines de Edén artificiales. Fue azotado, naufragó, vivió en prisiones, comió lo que pudo y predicó a quien quisiera escucharlo. Sin embargo, en su última carta —no al estilo de Eclesiastés sino con esperanza apocalíptica— escribe: “He peleado la buena batalla, he acabado la carrera, he guardado la fe. Por lo demás, me está guardada la corona de justicia...” (2 Tim. 4:7-8) - ¡Ese es el desenlace de una vida no vivida “debajo del sol”, sino en Cristo!Salomón murió rico y seco; Pablo murió pobre y rebosante. Salomón murió con mil mujeres y sin consuelo; Pablo murió solo… pero rodeado de gloria futura. Salomón tuvo todo pero no halló sentido. Pablo lo perdió todo… y lo halló todo en Cristo.UN VOLCÁN APAGADO O UN PEREGRINO CAMINO A LA DICHA.Hermano, hermana: ¿estás viviendo como Salomón o como Pablo?La vida sin Cristo es un carnaval insípido: luces de neón y risas enlatadas, promesas de plenitud que se marchitan al amanecer. En cambio, la vida en Cristo, aunque empapada de cruz y lucha, termina con corona, con gloria, con gozo verdadero. “Y el que tiene sed, venga; y el que quiera, tome del agua de la vida gratuitamente.” (Apocalipsis 22:17)¡No más buffet de mundo! Ven al banquete del Cordero. No más migajas de vanidad. Corre a la mesa de la gracia. No seas un volcán apagado; sé un alma peregrina camino a la dicha y el gozo perpetuos en Cristo.

“Probé luego el placer, y quise gozar de los bienes, pero he aquí, esto también era vanidad” —Eclesiastés 2:1Salomón, ese sabio que probó todo lo que el corazón humano codicia, se convirtió en el cronista lúgubre de la vida sin Dios. En Eclesiastés 2, lo vemos como un hombre que se echó al goce, a la risa, al vino, a la arquitectura, a los conciertos, al dinero, a los deleites, a los aplausos… y al final, se topó con la pared de la verdad más sobria: “todo es vanidad y aflicción de espíritu.”Una vida sin Dios es como un carnaval sin alma, una fiesta sin sentido: colorido, ruidoso… y hueco. Un globo inflado con aire caliente. Un brindis en una caverna oscura.Hoy exploramos cuatro síntomas de esta carrera vacía bajo el sol.1. El efecto “chiste gastado”Salomón dijo: “A la risa dije: Enloqueces; y al placer: ¿De qué sirve esto?” (Ecl. 2:2).¡Ah, la risa! El opio momentáneo de los vacíos. El espectáculo del bufón que intenta entretener al alma que se desangra. El humor secular se burla de todo, especialmente de lo sagrado, para luego darse cuenta de que, el chiste más repetido ya no hace reír, solo revela la desesperación. ¿De qué sirve la risa si no hay redención? Es como un payaso en un funeral. Puedes reírte hasta quedarte sin aire, pero no hasta quedarte sin vacío.2. El efecto “aguanto una más”“Propuse en mi corazón agasajar mi carne con vino…” (Ecl. 2:3). El hedonismo moderno sigue la vieja receta de Salomón: si algo da placer, entonces debe ser bueno. El problema es que el placer sin propósito no es deleite, sino adicción. El borracho se jacta de “aguantar una más”, pero en realidad, es la copa la que lo aguanta a él, lo sostiene, lo engaña y lo esclaviza. Y el hedonista contemporáneo no es más sofisticado que el borrachín de la esquina: sigue cayendo en camas distintas buscando descanso, pero encontrando solo insomnio moral. Agustín lo resumió bien: “Nos hiciste, Señor, para Ti, y nuestro corazón está inquieto hasta que descanse en Ti.”3. El efecto “no tengo de esos”“Me engrandecí… me hice huertos, jardines, fuentes… y amontoné también plata y oro…” (Ecl. 2:4–8).El síndrome moderno del “no tengo de esos” es la codicia travestida de aspiración. Salomón tuvo todo lo que Jeff Bezos y Elon Musk desearían. Y sin embargo, fue el primer millonario deprimido registrado en la Biblia. Los centros comerciales son los nuevos templos paganos donde la gente va a adorarse a sí misma con las ofrendas del plástico. El alma consumista quiere llenar el corazón con bienes materiales, pero la eternidad no cabe en un carrito de compras; el alma humana fue hecha para Dios, y ninguna cosa creada puede saciarla.4. El efecto “espejito, espejito”“Engrandecí mi obra… y vi yo que no había más que vanidad y aflicción de espíritu.” (Ecl. 2:11).El mundo grita: “¡Sé tú mismo! ¡Exprésate! ¡Ámate! ¡Enpodérate!” El problema es que uno puede explorarse, conocerse y hasta adorarse… y terminar odiándose. Porque el ego es como el infierno: nunca dice “basta” (Prov. 30:15–16).Salomón se miró al espejo y no vio grandeza, sino vacío. Lo había hecho todo, y sin embargo, su alma seguía preguntando: “¿Y ahora qué?” La autorrealización sin Dios es como inflar un globo con agujeros: trabajo, esfuerzo, aire… pero nunca plenitud - Todo lo que el hombre hace fuera de Dios no es otra cosa que pecado y condenación, aunque parezca virtud.SIN DIOS, NADA - IGUAL A DIOS, NADIE.Solo Dios hace al hombre feliz - Sin la mano de Dios, todo es pan sin levadura, vino sin uvas, alegría sin alma.El verdadero gozo no es tenerlo todo, sino conocer a Aquel que lo es todo. La vida bajo el sol es un carnaval insípido si Cristo no es el Rey del desfile.

It's time for The Truth!Today, Sam and Dougie are looking at how Hansi Flick's slightly surprising appointment at Barcelona last summer has turned into a masterstroke, and how the German has immediately brought the Blaugrana back to the top table of European football with a string of youngsters and some of the most exciting attacking football on the continent. There were question marks about Flick after his ill-fated tenure with the German national team, but his record at club level speaks for itself. And yet, when he was appointed at Barcelona to replace Xavi last summer, there were plenty who felt that this could be a step in the wrong direction for a Barcelona side mired in debt and already one step behind fierce rivals Real Madrid, who had just won La Liga and the Champions League, and then gone out and signed Kylian Mbappé, who was widely considered the best player in the world. But Flick took Xavi's possession-orientated philosophy and made it more direct, more streamlined; put his faith in the youngsters emerging from La Masia; and turned good players into superstars - all whilst staying true to his own brand of football and putting perhaps the boldest style of football in Europe on display for all to see. So was this a stroke of luck that the players matched his philosophy, or has the former Bayern treble-winner worked his magic again on another squad willing to do whatever he needs for them to get to the very top? Hello Rank Squad! We have our Champions League finalists, after PSG joined Inter in the showpiece event by beating Arsenal 2-1 at the Parc des Princes to progress 3-1 on aggregate. In today's episode of the Data Center Frontier Show podcast, DCF's editors speak with hyperscale data center industry veteran Yuval Bachar, founder and CEO of hydrogen data center operator EdgeCloudLink (ECL).  Bachar has held data center leadership positions with Microsoft Azure, LinkedIn, Facebook, Cisco, and Juniper Networks. He was a founder of the Open19 project, which creates open hardware designs for enterprise users, and holds eight U.S. patents in data center, networking and system design. During the interview, we asked Bachar about ECL's flagship hydrogen data center projects near Houston, TX and Mountain View, CA. He went on to outline ECL's future plans for expansion and sustainability in response to growing AI demands. Within the context of Bachar's forecast outlook for hydrogen data centers, DCF's editors also inquired about natural gas as a transitional power source and the challenges of natural gas infrastructure.  With the AI boom is driving heavy interest in the upsides of hydrogen data centers, Bachar also took time to emphasize his company's ongoing commitments to sustainable data centers, as reflected by the industry at large. Our hydrogen production strategy discussion also touched on hyperscalers' intense needs for new energy solutions, before circling back around to sustainability in data center operations. Phased Development During our interview, Bachar said that ECL is expanding its hydrogen data center business with a focus on Texas, aiming for 100 megawatts in the first phase of campus development there and additional phases every six months. The company plans to complete four sites in the next four to five years, contingent on hydrogen availability and supply chain capabilities.  He emphasized that the urgency for data centers to meet AI demand is critical, citing estimates of the industry needing 50 to 100 gigawatts of power in the next five years, while highlighting the importance of rapid deployment and sustainable practices. He further noted that ECL is positioned as a significant off-taker for hydrogen, influencing suppliers to invest in cleaner hydrogen production facilities.  Bachar underlined his company's sustainability bona fides by stating, "We can deliver data centers which are fully sustainable right now." He noted that ECL aims to use a blend of gray and blue hydrogen initially in its data centers, transitioning to green hydrogen as production increases. 

ECL is redefining data center design by leveraging hydrogen as a primary power source, moving away from reliance on traditional grid electricity often derived from fossil fuels. This innovative approach focuses on sustainability, efficiency, and flexibility, aiming to reduce carbon footprints and dependency on energy grids. Led by founder and CEO Yuval Bachar, ECL has successfully launched a 1-MW hydrogen-powered data center in Mountain View, showcasing its modular, off-grid designs that enable faster deployment and scalability. H2Tech sat down with Yuval to discuss ECL's work to expand its capacity and pave the way for more environmentally friendly and cost-effective solutions in the data center industry.

Ahora, responde esta pregunta: ¿Dónde sitúas el pasado, en lo que tienes delante o en lo que tienes detrás? ¿Y el futuro, en cuál de esas dos categorías lo sitúas?Lo más seguro, como hispana que eres, es que sitúes el pasado detrás y el futuro delante. ¿Por qué? Porque los occidentales tenemos este concepto del tiempo como algo lineal, y nos ubicamos en esa línea mirando hacia delante, a lo desconocido, y dejando atrás lo pasado, lo ya vivido. Ese es el concepto que nos hace creer, por ejemplo, que a la gente mayor es a la que le toca morir, y no a los jóvenes o a los niños; o que la vejez es el gran enemigo a enfrentar (o a evadir, evitar y temer), puesto que es el final del camino, ¿y quién quiere llegar al fin?Los orientales, sin embargo, tienen el concepto opuesto: para ellos, el pasado está delante porque es lo único que pueden ver, lo que conocen, y de él pueden aprender lecciones de vida gracias a las experiencias ya superadas. El futuro lo ubican detrás, porque es dos cosas: desconocido e incontrolable. Esta mentalidad les permite ver a la gente mayor como valiosa por su sabiduría, y considerarla el mejor referente para las generaciones jóvenes. Para los orientales, llegar a la vejez es un privilegio al que no temen.No voy a negar que le tengo miedo a la vejez (al fin, soy hispana), a las arrugas, a la falta de productividad, a perder facultades... Y que, por causa de ese miedo, concibo la vejez como la antesala de la muerte, dejándome vencer por un concepto mental y cultural. Pero si realmente creo que después de la muerte de este cuerpo hay una resurrección y una vida en una tierra nueva donde no habrá llanto ni dolor, porque esta primera etapa de la existencia ya pasó (Apoc. 21: 4), ¿no debería ver la vejez (e incluso la muerte) como una culminación deseada? Me parece que sí.En este, como en otros de los grandes temas de la existencia, me descubro a mí misma cayendo en grandes contradicciones. ¿Y sabes qué? Hasta que le nació su primer hijo. Después de ser padre por primera vez, su conferencia pasó a titularse: «Cinco posibles sugerencias para criar bien a tus hijos». Y entonces nació su segundo hijo. Tras ser padre por segunda vez, ajustó de nuevo su conferencia, y puso por título: «Dos posibles alternativas que te pueden ayudar a criar mejor a tus hijos». Y entonces llegó su tercer hijo, y dejó de dar esa conferencia. La vida le fue enseñando su ignorancia y él, lejos de aferrarse a una opinión inflexible que defender a capa y espada, aprendió a cambiar en función de la luz que iba recibiendo.Así actúa Dios con nosotros. A través de la Biblia, nos invita a dejar de aferrarnos a creencias arraigadas que tenemos y que, en el fondo, se basan en nuestra ignorancia. Dios pone en nuestra mano un libro inspirado por él mismo, que nos abre un camino de crecimiento en función de una luz cada vez mayor. Esa luz la vamos recibiendo en un proceso de lectura diaria acompañada de oración. Sin esa lectura, sin ese proceso acompañado de oración, no seremos transformadas, y seguiremos siendo discos rayados, dando discursos por la vida que no se ajustan a la verdad. Careceremos de verdadero aprendizaje.Es necesario ir haciendo una revisión constante y coherente de nuestras actitudes y opiniones, para que cada vez estén en mayor sintonía con las Escrituras. Esa revisión humilde de la verdad es la que nos impedirá caer en conductas contraproducentes, como la que señala Eclesiastes 7:16: creernos sabias en exceso o demasiado justas en nuestra propia opinión. Respecto a este pasaje, el Comentario bíblico de Andrews afirma: "Lo que justifica el inusual consejo de Salomón es que, a veces, lo que nosotros consideramos bueno o malo no necesariamente es bueno o malo. Tal vez no comprendemos todas las ramificaciones o no tenemos suficiente conocimiento como para evaluar correctamente".* Por eso necesitamos aprender, para cambiar y ajustar. No somos tan sabias como nos creemos.¿Cuán fuertemente te aferras a criterios inapelables que no se sostienen con la Biblia? Haz un alto en el camino, reconsidera, no te creas sabia en exceso. ¿Por qué has de destruirte?«El cambio es siempre el resultado final de todo verdadero aprendizaje». Si un ser humano, concebido y nacido en pecado, no puede ser perfecto, ¿a qué exactamente nos llama Dios cuando dice «anda delante de mí y sé perfecto»?La palabra hebrea usada en Génesis 17: 1 es tamîm que, aplicada en la Biblia a personas, significa «completo, íntegro, sincero, piadoso, honrado». La vemos traducida en Proverbios 2: 21 como «los íntegros permanecerán» (RV95); o en Proverbios 28:18 como «el hombre honrado será puesto a salvo». Salmo 101: 2 usa esta expresión: «En la integridad de mi corazón [tamîm] andaré en medio de mi casa» (RV95).Echando un vistazo a otros pasajes bíblicos que usan la palabra tamîm aplicada a personas, vemos que la integridad/honradez a la que nos llama la Biblia está asociada> a vivir respetando la ley de Dios: «Bienaventurados los íntegros de camino, los que andan en la ley de Jehová» (Sal. 119: 1, RV95);> a no mentir: «El que dice la verdad de todo corazón» (Sal. 15: 2); «el testigo honrado» (Amós 5: 10);> a tener un conocimiento profundo de la verdad: «¡Contigo está uno que es íntegro en sus conceptos!» (Job 36: 4).«La palabra tamîm designa a un grupo de personas para la cuales la adherencia a valores éticos y sociales basados en el temor de Dios es de vital importancia».** No es ser perfecta en el sentido de no pecar (lo cual, como sabemos, es imposible), sino en el de ser íntegra/honrada porque te adhieres a los principios y valores de la sabiduría, que es el temor a Jehová (Prov. 1: 7). Esa adherencia da paso a un caminar en humildad con el Señor, y ese es el llamado que él te hace.Cuando Dios te invita a ser tamîm, no te está diciendo que puedes ser impecable, sino que te está invitando a comprometerte con él de todo corazón para vivir con verdad, integridad, honradez y sabiduría; es decir, con profundos conceptos espirituales.
