Hour 1 We started with the Giants quarterback situation and Boomer thinks they are going to announce Jaxson Dart will start this week against the Chargers. Boomer said it seems that Dart has a little ‘red ass in him'. I am going to google that to see what that means. The only way things get worse for the Giants is if they play Dart and he stinks. The Mets have their final 6 games of the season that will determine if they get into the playoffs. They have been horrible over August and September. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the sounds of the Lions beating the Ravens. Brian Daboll was asked if Russell Wilson would be the starter and he said they will do what they always do which is evaluate everything. Mike Francesa called the Jets ‘losers'. In the final segment of the hour, a caller is angry at Mets fans for expecting even more from Juan Soto and Pete Alonso. He also yelled that most of the team is minor leaguers. Hour 2 We started the hour with the Mets situation and lots of callers seem to be angry at Steve Cohen, with one caller wanting the Wilpons back. A caller wondered if Gio was still thinking the Lions were going to have a bad season. Jerry returns for an update and starts with a Derrick Henry fumble as the Lions beat the Ravens. Aaron Glenn talked about the Jets defense having to get better. Boomer said Jets fans are mad Glenn is showing emotion and also mad when Rob Saleh didn't. Peta is upset with Tom Brady for saying ‘kick the dog' during the broadcast. Pete Alonso talked about going into the final 6 games of the season. In the final segment of the hour, we heard a speech from an FDNY firefighter to the Ryder Cup team pumping them up. He went full America on them. Hour 3 Today may be the day the Giants make the announcement that Jaxson Dart is starting Sunday against the Chargers. We talked about quarterbacks that were really good as rookies, like CJ Stroud, and then things may not be the same the next season. Jayden Daniels already missed a start with an injury last week. Boomer talked about the importance of where players go. Tampa seems to be the perfect place for Baker Mayfield. Indianapolis seems to be the perfect place for Daniel Jones. A caller wonders why we think it will be better with Jaxson Dart. There's only one way to turn a dead team into one that's alive and that's a young quarterback. Gio wants to go to the Ryder Cup, but he said it seems like an absolute disaster to get in and out of there. A caller debates Gio on whether Juan Soto is a real ‘needle mover'. Jerry returns for an update, but first we talked about some teams being desperate for a QB, and maybe Russell Wilson or Jameis Winston could go to the Bengals if the Giants go to Jaxson Dart. Jerry starts with the Lions beating the Ravens and we heard from Dan Campbell after the game. The Lions sacked Lamar Jackson seven times. Brian Daboll was asked why the passing game was so terrible. Adam Schein talked about Jordan Love's highs and lows. Deion Sanders was on the New Heights podcast and asked about the spelling of his name. He got it from ‘Old MacDonald'. In the final segment of the hour, Bob Papa doesn't like Giants fan and ‘content creator' Bobby Skinner having an opinion since he doesn't go in the locker room or attend press conferences. Hour 4 The Lions beat the Ravens last night and some people had the Lions in trouble this year because they lost their offensive and defensive coordinators. But Dan Campbell kept saying it was about the players and he's looking right. Boomer said having Jared Goff at QB is a huge difference. The first few weeks have had better play this year than in previous years and Boomer said it's because guys played in the pre-season. The Vikings and Steelers are playing in Ireland this Sunday. Jerry returns for his final update of the day and starts with the sounds of the Lions beating the Ravens. We also heard from Dan Campbell after the game. Phil Simms was on with Kay Adams a ...
Hour 1 The Giants lost again last night, as they are now 2-19 in their last 21 prime time games. When do you go to Jaxson Dart? The Chargers come to town next week and then they go to New Orleans. You can't throw him to the wolves against the Chargers. The Giants kicker was hurt again before the game even started. The Giants had first and goal and couldn't score and had the worst plays called. They never got Malik Nabers involved in that game. The Jets and Giants need to stop the bleeding by bringing in an established head coach. C-Lo is in for Jerry and is here for his first update and starts with the sounds of the Giants not scoring with first and goal. Brian Daboll said he would be booing too after last night. Andy Reid commented on the fans booing the Giants. Aaron Glenn said this is not the same old Jets, and he hates that term. He said the team is fighters. The Mets lost their series against the Nationals, including yesterday when Alvarez was robbed of a HR in the ninth. In the final segment of the hour, golfer Patrick Cantlay put his hand behind his back in an effort to not high five fans, including children. How do we feel about that? Hour 2 Yesterday, both the Jets and Mets lost. The Jets fell to 0-3 while the Mets dropped out of playoff contention. Boomer noted the Jets are rebuilding, unlike the Mets who spent heavily. Gio believes the Mets are "consistently inconsistent" and don't deserve the playoffs. Aaron Glenn claimed this isn't the "same old Jets," despite their loss. C-Lo's update included Patrick Mahomes recovering his fumble and Russell Wilson struggling. Daboll faced questions about a QB change. The Jets' blocked FG return initially gave them hope. Aaron Glenn emphasized they're not an "instant coffee team." The Yankees won in extra innings with a Ben Rice grand slam, while the Mets lost to the Nationals. Gio advocated for Jaxson Dart as the next QB for the Giants, while Boomer felt the Falcons and Rams had crushing losses. Issues with the "tush-push" continued. Hour 3 Daniel Jones is having a great season so far with the Colts. Sometimes it happens for guys in places where it would never happen in the place they originally were. A caller doesn't want Sauce Gardener to have the ‘Sauce' nickname anymore. We went over Daniel Jones' stats so far, which are very impressive. We took a bunch of calls from frustrated Giants fans. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with Cris Collinsworth saying there's excitement in the Giants building about Jaxson Dart. Mike Francesa didn't like seeing Aaron Glenn dancing after the blocked FG the Jets returned for a TD. Francesa continued screaming about Glenn and the ‘same old Jets'. In the final segment of the hour, today is Al's birthday but CBS did not send food like they normally do. They didn't realize. Hour 4 The Giants are going to have to play Jaxson Dart because the fans are sick of saying the same thing year after year. Gio doesn't want him starting this week at home against the Chargers. He wants him starting the following week in New Orleans. Boomer's worried he won't be able to protect himself out there. Boomer also said he has some Baker Mayfield in him. C-Lo returns for an update and we hear Russell Wilson's second interception of the game. Aaron Glenn wants you to know they're not the ‘same old Jets'. He hates that term and doesn't know what it means. Frank The Tank went off on the Mets again as they lost to the Nationals. Evan Roberts is getting aroused about playoff scenarios. The Yankees beat the Orioles in extras as Ben Rice hit a grand slam in the tenth. The Moment of The Day: Mike Francesa doesn't want Aaron Glenn dancing. In the final segment of the show, we looked at the early betting lines for this coming weekend. Gio said starting Jameis Winston won't excite Giants fans the way starting Dart would.
Hour 1 We started with the local baseball teams and who they will likely play when the playoffs come (assuming the Mets make it). We also talked about the Bills winning again last night, with Boomer noting they have not had a turnover in 8 straight games. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the Yankees beating the Orioles 7-0, and they did it without a HR. Jonah Tong struck out 8 as the Mets beat the Padres. Clayton Kershaw announced he is retiring after this season. We heard Suzyn & Dave Sims arguing about saves in Pittsburgh vs saves in NY. Tua threw a pick on the Bills 21 yard line as the Dolphins lost to the Bills. We heard from Mike McDaniel after the game. Quinnen Williams said the players made a pact to not be as bad as they were against the Bills. Carson Wentz is ready to go for the Vikings as they take on the Bengals. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about some of the NFL matchups this weekend. We talked about the 40 starting Jets quarterbacks since Joe Namath left. Hour 2 The Buccaneers will be in their creamsicle uniforms on Sunday when they play the Jets. Is this going to be a Todd Bowles revenge spot? Aaron Glenn has been using a lot of corny cliches like ‘big ships turn slow' and ‘it's not instant coffee'. Boomer said you have to be lucky enough to have a great QB to be successful in the NFL. Anthony in Belleville called in and talked about his Chargers and Gio's old mullet. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds of the Bills beating the Dolphins. Tua threw a pick late in the game on the Bills 21 yard line. Tyreek Hill talked about being 0-3. The Yankees shutout the Orioles 7-0 without hitting a HR. Jonah Tong struck out 8 as the Mets beat the Padres and Pete Alonso had another HR. Clayton Kershaw announced that this will be his last season. In the final segment of the hour, Gio said everyone seems to be turning on the Eagles. Al Michaels seemingly took a shot at them on the broadcast last night. The NFL told officials to watch the Tush Push because they have been offside in the past. Gio's wife asked for a Super Bowl prediction and he said Eagles/Ravens. Boomer thinks the Packers are the team to beat in the NFC and the Ravens in the AFC. Hour 3 Patrick Mahomes said being 0-2 is a great opportunity to show people on Sunday night football what the Chiefs are really made of. Mahomes has lost 3 games in a row for the first time in his career. Gio said it seems impossible that they would lose to the Giants and go 0-3 to start the season. We still don't know for sure if Andrew Thomas is playing. Gio is not expecting the same Giants offense we saw in Dallas. Boomer said the Chiefs offense is not that great, but Gio cautioned it's still Patrick Mahomes. Gio is wearing a Dua Lipa hoodie he got yesterday. Who has more commercials, the Manning brothers or the Kelce brothers? Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Tua interception that was costly as the Bills beat the Dolphins. Mike McDaniel spoke after the game and sounded like a doofus. Russell Wilson loves playing at MetLife because he won a Super Bowl there. Eli Manning was on Peter Schraegger's podcast and talked about helping Jaxson Dart, who took it too literally. The Yankees beat the Orioles 7-0 without hitting a HR. Chris Russo asks Ian Eagle about travel while doing all these games and Mike Francesa eulogizes Robert Redford. In the final segment of the hour, Gio got a box in the mail to ‘open on air on football Friday'. It's a Vikings male cheerleader bobblehead. Hour 4 We started with a preview of Jets/Bucs and took a call from a guy driving down there. Gio told him not to sit near the cannons as they will be going off all game. A caller went to the wrong airport as he confused Charlotte and Charleston. Jerry returns for his final update of the day and starts with the Yankees beating the Orioles 7-0 without hitting a HR. Jonah Tong had a great start for the Mets as they beat the Padres. Clayto ...
Hour 1 Boomer is out today so it's Gio & Jerry. Gio is going to see Dua Lipa at MSG tonight and now his wife might be bailing on it because she has a cold. The Mets set an MLB record for number of different pitchers used in one season: 46. That number will tell you how bad the pitching has been. With Tyrod Taylor starting this week, he is the 40th to start a game for the Jets since Joe Namath. C-Lo is here for his first update but first we tried to name as many Jets starting QBs as we could. C-Lo has the sounds of the Yankees beating the Twins as Trent Grisham hit 2 more home runs. The Mets lost to the Padres as Machado hit a grand slam. Aaron Glenn talked about Tyrod Taylor starting this week. He also said, ‘big ships turn slow' and they're going to ‘chop wood'. In the final segment of the hour, our match at Pebble Beach with Skratch Golf has been posted to social media and YouTube. Hour 2 Joe Benigno calls in as we want to see if he can name the 40 Jets starting quarterbacks since Joe Namath. He did not get all 40. I think he got 23. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with the sounds of the Yankees beating the Twins thanks to two Trent Grisham home runs. Juan Soto missed a game tying home run by inches as it went foul in the Mets' loss to the Padres. Manny Machado hit a grand slam. Dave Sims and Suzyn Waldman got into a disagreement about saves in NY vs saves in Pittsburgh. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about ABC suspending Jimmy Kimmel indefinitely. Hour 3 Andrew Thomas is trending toward playing for the Giants this weekend against the Chiefs. The Giants defense has to do much better than they did against the Cowboys. After the Chiefs, they have the Chargers, so they could be looking at 0-4. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with the sounds of the Yankees beating the Twins as Trent Grisham hits 2 home runs. Manny Machado hit a grand slam as the Padres beat the Mets. Aaron Glenn talked about Tyrod Taylor getting the start for the Jets this weekend against the Bucs. In the final segment of the hour, Gio is going to see Dua Lipa at MSG tonight, and his wife may be too sick to go. We talked about how great Afrin is. Hour 4 We talked about announcers and whether you watch a game or turn a game off because of who the announcer is. Gio also asked Jerry if he cares who wins the MVP, in regards to Aaron Judge and Cal Raleigh. It seems like the award is more Player of The Year and not MVP. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with the sounds of the Yankees beating the Twins and the Padres beating the Mets. A number of coaches have commented, and don't seem worried, with Tom Brady's relationship with the Raiders. Aaron Glenn said ‘big ships turn slow' and they are ‘chopping wood' to get the defense improved. He also said Tyrod Taylor is not a ‘celebrity quarterback' and is just ‘one of the guys'. Baker Mayfield also talked about working with Taylor on the Browns. Gio thinks Baker is already penciled in for the NFC offensive player of the week. Kyler Murray apologized for wearing a Michael Vick jersey while posing with his dog. The Moment of The Day: Suzyn Waldman & Dave Sims battle on saves in Pittsburgh vs saves in NY. In the final segment of the show, a Bucs fan said that Tyrod Taylor has been a ‘Buccaneers Killer' every time he faced them. We did some research. He's 2-0 against them and last played them 8 years ago, so let's relax. We talked about kids laughing at ‘6-7' and tried to figure out why. A guy named Brady Cook will back up Tyrod Taylor on Sunday for the Jets.
Hour 1 We started the show with the Mets, who had a big first inning and beat the Padres. We have 11 more games to go and the Diamondbacks are right on their heels. Gio is encouraged by last night. Boomer thought he gave up on the Mets. Gio thinks the Yankees should want to play the Astros so they can pay them back. The NFL came out and said Tom Brady is allowed to be in the Raiders' coaches' booth. Boomer has a cold already, so we set the over/under for illnesses for the show this Fall/Winter. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with something strange Al did on Monday that involves him being a ‘penis hypochondriac'. The Mets scored 5 in the first. The Yankees had a 10-1 lead and barely hung on to beat the Twins. Cal Raleigh hit his 55th and 56th home runs of the season. In the final segment of the hour, Gio has an odd story involving multiple men in a Penn Station bathroom. Gio has so many questions. Hour 2 The Giants play the Chiefs this week and Boomer said the Giants are going to be in for a rude awakening on offense as the Chiefs have a very good defense. The Chiefs have struggled offensively for the last 3 games. Boomer also said Brian Daboll is not getting fired during the season no matter what happens. This is actually a great time for the Giants to be playing the Chiefs. Gio said the sportsbooks are begging you to take the Giants at 5 ½. Gio thinks it's a ‘get right spot' for the Chiefs. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds of the Yankees squeaking by the Twins after having a 10-1 lead and the Mets' big first inning as they beat the Padres. Nick Sirianni had to answer questions about his team being offside on the tush push. Dabo Swinney said if they're tired of winning, they can let him go. In the final segment of the hour, country singer Zach Bryan tried to fight another country artist, Gavin Adcock, at a festival. Hour 3 We started the hour talking about the Yankees and whether their fans want to face the Astros in the playoffs or if they are trying to avoid them. Two of our Yankees fans called and neither thought they could make it to the World Series. Boomer said the AL & NL are wide open for any playoff team to make it to the World Series. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Yankees barely beating the Twins even though they had a 10-1 lead. Francisco Lindor's wife played the National Anthem on the violin before the game. Lindor himself homered a little while later. Cal Raleigh hit 2 more home runs to make it 56 on the year. Jerry Jones was asked about the phrase, ‘glory hole'. Stephen A. Smith talked about Molly Qerim leaving ESPN. In the final segment of the hour, Gio's wife had to go into the city last night for a friend's birthday and that sounds like a nightmare. A Tuesday night Broadway show. Hour 4 Gio talked about taking a flight out of JFK and how expensive it cost to park but we still pay it because we want to get out of there. We also talked about choosing self-checkout over going to a cashier and how valet parking people are sometimes in cahoots with criminals. Jerry returns for his final update of the day, but first we hear from Cardi B as she said she and Stefon Diggs are having a baby. We heard from Pete Carroll on his relationship with Tom Brady. Brady is playing in some flag football game in Saudi Arabia. The Mets scored 5 runs in the first and beat the Padres. Evan Cedric Mullins homered. The Yankees had a 10-1 lead and then barely beat the Twins, 10-9. Cal Raleigh hit 2 more home runs making it 56 on the season. The Moment of The Day: Al had pain down there and used a mirror to find out what was wrong. In the final segment of the show, Mike Hill from Boomer's Foundation stopped by and told us about going to Burning Man.
Hour 1 We started with love for Baker Mayfield and the disbelief of what the Browns did when they got rid of him for Deshaun Watson. Boomer loves him some Tom Brady, but him sitting up in the Raider's coach's booth with headsets on is ‘B.S.' Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the sounds of the Chargers beating the Raiders. We heard from Jim Harbaugh after the game. The Bucs beat the Texans in the early game. Aaron Glenn talked to the media and compared the Jets to building Legos. Brian Daboll talked about having to be better all around. The Yankees were shutout in Minnesota, 7-0. The Mets host the Padres tonight. In the final segment this hour, we talked about the injury to Joe Burrow and rumored quarterbacks for them. Hour 2 Gio has no idea what to expect from the Mets the rest of the season. The good news is they're still in a playoff position. A woman calls in to see if Boomer is going to the Bengals Ring of Honor game, as she has tickets. Boomer said he thinks he is going. Jerry returns for an update, but first we got to watch some of the footage from Skratch from our match at Pebble Beach. Jerry starts with the sounds of the Chargers beating the Raiders as Geno Smith was picked 3 times. Jim Harbaugh talked about having ‘multiple guys open' on every down. The Bucs came back to beat the Texans. Aaron Glenn met the media after watching the tape and talked about the loss to Buffalo. Brian Daboll was asked about the soft defensive coverage that let Dallas score to tie the game with seconds to play. JJ McCarthy is out this week and it could be 2-4 weeks. The Yankees were shutout in Minnesota, 7-0. The Phillies clinched the N.L. East. In the final segment of the hour, the Dolphins are a 12 point underdog against the Bills and it's only week 3. If they get whooped in Buffalo, Gio thinks they could fire Mike McDaniel. We talked more about Tom Brady being in the Raider's coach's booth last night. He's doing the Bears/Cowboys game this week and then the Bears play the Raiders. Boomer said Ben Johnson shouldn't talk to him. Hour 3 It should piss the Mets off that they were leading the division earlier in the year and last night the Phillies were celebrating the NL East title yet again. I guess it's possible for the Mets to catch fire the rest of the season and into the playoffs. A caller thinks Brian Daboll's approach to the media will get him fired. We also talked about the resurgence of Daniel Jones in Indianapolis. Gio wonders how Boomer thinks Carson Wentz will play this week for the Vikings. Jim Irsay's daughter has been on the sidelines with a headset on and a clipboard. Gio wonders what's on her clipboard. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds of the Chargers beating the Raiders. Pete Carroll was asked about Tom Brady's involvement with the Raiders coaches. The Bucs came back to beat the Texans in the final seconds of the game. Todd Bowles talked about the Bucs run game. Aaron Glenn met the media and talked about the ‘outside noise' and said this isn't ‘instant coffee' and that things take time. Adam Schein talked about how bad the Bears are, considering he thought they would be good this year. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer did change out the coffee in the back and then he told us Robert Redford and Eddie Giacomin passed away. Hour 4 Gio wonders what's worse, decaf coffee or non-alcoholic beer. We took a lot of calls from people who drink decaf and want to fight Gio about it. Jerry returns for his final update of the day and starts with the sounds of the Chargers beating the Raiders to improve to 2-0. Jim Harbaugh talked about it being a ‘blue collar game'. Aaron Glenn met the media and compared the season to Legos. He also said a season is not ‘instant coffee'. In the past Robert Saleh called the NFL an ‘instant coffee' world. The Yankees were shutout in Minnesota, 7-0. The Phillies clinched the NL East. The Moment of The Day: Adam Schein on the Chicago Bears: Amat ...
