Hour 1 Jerry is in for Boomer today so it's Gio & Jerry. We talked about the Jets press conference with Aaron Glenn and Darren Mougey. Glenn said everything Jets fans would want to hear. There are still decisions to be made, including what to do with Aaron Rodgers. If not Rodgers, who are they realistically getting? How much did Glenn have to do with the Lions successful turnaround? When teams are stuck in quarterback hell, like the Jets, it is going to be tough on the head coach. Rodgers comes with a lot of baggage that a head coach has to deal with. Jerry has hope for the Jets, as both the Red Sox and Cubs figured it out. I mean, we had a Cubs/Cleveland World Series. C-Lo is in for Jerry and is here for his first update and starts with the sounds of Aaron Glenn from the press conference. Darren Mougey referenced getting a Super Bowl back to the Jets. The Jags welcomed Liam Coen as the new Head Coach and it didn't go great. In the final segment of the hour, Al & Jerry are struggling to get views on YouTube. Hour 2 In the last 3 years in the playoffs, we looked at penalties called against the Chiefs and those called against their opponents. There is a big difference. This is why people think the Chiefs get the calls. A caller said maybe great teams commit fewer penalties. A woman thinks the refs knew about Dave Portnoy's bet against the Chiefs and favored them because of it. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with the sounds of Aaron Glenn, wanting ‘this job'. Glenn said ‘get used to winning'. He will not be calling the defense because he wants to be ‘the best head coach'. Pete Carroll met the media and was interrupted by Marshawn Lynch. Jerry Jones talked about the risk of hiring Brian Schottenheimer since he has no head coaching experience. In the final segment of the hour, Brett from Long Island vs C-Mac is now a YouTube video on the WFAN channel. A caller said maybe the Chiefs don't make mistakes so they don't get flagged. Hour 3 There's a pic on X that shows a 45 year old Tom Brady compared to a 38 year old Kenny Stabler. Kenny looks no less than 55 years old. Kenny was probably drinking and smoking a lot. Gio thinks it's really the food we're eating here compared to Europe, where people still smoke and still look healthier than a lot of people in America. We took calls on people looking older back a few decades ago than we do now. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with Aaron Glenn talking about the sting of losing the Championship game to Denver and how he came to get that back for the Jets. Gio channels Joe Benigno talking about Darren Mougey. Jerry Jones met the media and referenced ‘glory holes' again and cried during the press conference. The Knicks beat the Grizzlies at the Garden. In the final segment of the hour, we took calls on why people looked older a few decades ago than we do now. Gio has been watching videos about Neptune and the moons around it. Hour 4 Aaron Glenn mentioned in yesterday's press conference that he still thinks about the championship game loss to the Broncos and wants to get that back for the Jets. Gio said they have been in quarterback hell and they're still there. Glenn needs a great quarterback and a great offensive coordinator. Ben Johnson took the Bears job because of Caleb Williams. Mike Vrabel took the Patriots job because of Drake Maye. Jerry was not impressed by Maye, but Gio thought he was pretty good. We have to give Glenn a learning curve. We can't expect him to be a great coach in season one. C-Lo returns for his final update of the day, but first we talked about Gio's dog situation. Jerry used to have a tick where he would say, ‘and a ballsack' in the WFAN newsroom. C-Lo starts with the sounds of Aaron Glenn from his opening press conference. Woody Johnson also spoke about Glenn and GM Darren Mougey. Jon Gruden talked about the challenges of new head coaches. Jerry Jones talked about all the risks he's taken over the last five years. Hour 1 Boomer is feeling bad for Giants fans this morning as Saquon Barkley scored 3 TDs and is headed to the Super Bowl. Boomer was impressed by Jayden Daniels and thought Tom Brady had his best game as an analyst. Turnovers killed the Commanders. The Bills/Chiefs game had a controversial spot on a fourth down that cost the Bills. Dalton Kincaid had a ball he had to catch on another fourth down. The NFL almost awarded the Eagles a TD as Washington kept jumping offsides on the tush-push attempt. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with Saquon's first carry that went for a 60-yard TD. Gio said Jalen Hurts is always by himself on the sideline. We heard Kevin Harlan on the call as the Chiefs went ahead for good on a FG with 3:33 left. Sen McDermott talked about the Chiefs always being at the top. In the final segment of the hour, Eagles fans took to the streets to celebrate, including shooting a gun into the air. Hour 2 The Jets have a press conference later today to introduce Aaron Glenn and GM Darren Mougey. He is a first time GM who has been with the Broncos for 12 years. This is not what Gio wanted for the Jets, a first time GM and first time head coach. We also talked about Glenn potentially working with Aaron Rodgers. And who are the coordinators going to be for the Jets? Will they be first time coordinators? Jerry returns for an update and starts with the 4th down QB sneak by Josh Allen that didn't make it. The CBS broadcast all thought it was a first down. We heard Eagles radio as Saquon Barkley scored his third TD of the game. The refs almost awarded a score to the Eagles as Washington tried to time the defense of the tush-push. Jay Glazer said that Aaron Glenn will meet with Aaron Rodgers to figure it out and not, ‘drag it out'. Jerry had a dream that Danny DeVito drowned in a pool. Steve Cohen talked about the Pete Alonso negotiations. In the final segment of the hour, who's getting these NFL helmets that we have in the studio? Gio thinks Jon Gruden is getting tired of watching games with the Barstool guys. We talked about the same commercials that play over and over again during NFL games and how you really notice it when there's only one standalone game on. Hour 3 The Bills just cannot beat the Chiefs in the playoffs and there's nothing they can do about it. They aren't getting rid of the coach because of that, nor should they. We talked about some of the cap space that some very good teams have going into next season. Boomer is very into Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. Jerry returns for an update, but first Gio wonders what Stephen Waldren would have had us do if we were going to New Orleans. Our makeup artist, Aly, got engaged. For some reason she didn't tell Boomer. Gio heard a new phrase and Boomer just did it: ‘Boomer Asking'. Jerry has the sounds of Saquon Barkley scoring on a 60 yard right. Michael Irvin was not happy seeing the Commanders and Eagles in the Championship game. We heard from Kevin Harlan as Patrick Mahomes ran one in from 10 yards out. Josh Allen isn't sure what went wrong, but it wasn't good enough. In the final segment of the hour, Aly checked in to say Boomer didn't ask her about her weekend, so she didn't tell him she got engaged. Hour 4 The NY Jets are having a press conference today to introduce Aaron Glenn and Darren Mougey. We also talked about the draft and the Giants taking Shedeur Sanders and how that will work with Brian Daboll. We also talked about the NFL free agents that will be available. Jerry returned for his final update of the day, and he started with the Chiefs beating the Bills as we heard Kevin Harlan on the call. Keyshawn Johnson, who was a teammate of Glenn while on the Jets, said there is no way he's bringing Aaron Rodgers back. Jerry is here for his first update of the day, and starts with Liam Coen doing an about face and will become the head coach in Jacksonville. In the final segment of the hour, Pete Alonso is supposedly deep into talks with the Toronto Bluejays. He's a fan favorite, but perhaps he's not a favorite in the locker room. Who knows? Hour 2 The National Championship game between Notre Dame and Ohio State didn't have as many viewers as expected. That could be because while it was happening, Trump was doing a press conference where he was taking questions. It also wasn't a very close game most of the way. Boomer thinks Jalen Hurts is hanging onto the ball too long, the same way Sam Darnold did his last 2 games. Hurts does not look like the QB who had a great performance in the Super Bowl a few years ago. He was arguing with C-Mac about his takes on the Commanders/Lions game. Hour 3 It looks like Rob Saleh is going back to San Francisco. Gio wanted somebody with head coaching experience. Boomer thinks Glenn will be a great head coach, but the Jets are in a whole different situation. How much of the Lions success is on Glenn? There's Dan Campbell, the offensive genius of Ben Johnson, and great drafts by the GM. Ben Johnson is going to the Bears, who are in the Lions division of course. Who will be a part of Glenn's coaching staff? Gio is not excited with the choice as he doesn't want another first time head coach here. Gio thinks if he was never on the Jets, he wouldn't even be considered. Boomer said maybe somebody with experience doesn't want to come to the Jets. Chris Spielman could be a GM candidate, and he has zero experience in that role as well. C-Lo is in for Jerry and here for his first update of the day and starts with Aaron Glenn on a podcast talking about an interaction with Bill Parcells. We heard the sounds of Ohio State beating Notre Dame for the National Championship. The Knicks beat the Hawks at MSG. In the final segment of the hour, Ben Johnson is going to the Bears and it looks like Aaron Glenn is coming to the Jets. Gio thought Johnson was going to the Raiders, but he really wants to work with Caleb Williams. Hour 2 We talked more about the Jets looking like they will agree to a deal with Aaron Glenn to become their next head coach. Gio doesn't like it because it's another coordinator with zero head coaching experience. We talked about Glenn's gameplan this past weekend against Jayden Daniels. It's looking like we're getting two fair weather games this weekend. C-Lo returns for an update, but first we talked about the Championship game in KC where Walker Hayes' ‘Fancy Like' was blasting through the stadium as the NFL Today was trying to broadcast. Aaron Glenn was on a podcast a few years ago and talked about relating to players. We wondered if Glenn would keep Aaron Rodgers at QB. Lance Newmark could be coming as GM as they worked together in Detroit before Lance went to Washington. We wondered who some famous people named Lance were. We heard the sounds of Ohio State beating Notre Dame in the National Championship. Kirk Herbstreit was emotional after the game. The Knicks beat the Hawks at MSG. In the final segment of the hour, our own Peter Schwartz has been hired as the GM of an arena football team playing at the Nassau Coliseum. The idea is to recruit local players. Peter will pick the coach. The coach will pick the players. Is this a full time job? Does he have an office? Hour 3 The Jets are expected to hire Aaron Glenn today, according to Ian Rapoport. Peter Schwartz has been named the GM of the Long Island arena league that is starting soon. The team doesn't have a name yet. We tried to come up with names for the Long Island team. We also talked about Italian Lizards on Long Island and how they got there. C-Lo returns for an update, but first we talked more about Peter Schwartz being the GM of the Long Island team in some new arena football league. The Jets are most likely signing Aaron Glenn after interviewing him today. Players are said to be excited at the prospect of Glann as head coach. Chris Simms, like Boomer, didn't like the throw from Lamar Jackson to Mark Andrews. Bill Belichick said the Ravens beat themselves. ‘You can't win til you can keep from losing' is what Tom Brady said (an old Belichick saying). In the final segment of the hour, Peter Schwartz joins us on the phone to talk about being the GM of the Long Island team of the new arena league. Hour 4 The Jets are interviewing Aaron Glenn and Lance Newmark and will most likely hire them as head coach and GM. Gio doesn't like the idea of these guys as they have not held these positions before. And for the Jets, that matters. The Jets need an alpha male like Rex Ryan or J ...

Hour 1 Championship weekend is set and most of the games were decided by teams turning the ball over. Boomer does not like Patrick Mahomes flopping and the refs calling penalties every time that guy gets hit. He gets treated differently than any other quarterback in the league. Gio doesn't think he'll be treated the same way because they are playing the Bills. Nobody wants to see the Texans move on, so Mahomes got all the calls. Gio thinks the Bills going to the Super Bowl is a bigger story so Mahomes won't get all the calls. With the Lions defensive performance Saturday night, has this hurt Aaron Glenn? Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the sounds of the Bills beating the Ravens as Mark Andrews had a tough fourth quarter. On the 2-point attempt, Boomer thinks it's more on Lamar Jackson than Mark Andrews. Lamar Jackson talked about his turnovers that cost them the game. Josh Allen talked about moving on to KC. We heard one of the many great runs by Saquon Barkley as they beat the Rams. AJ Brown showed up to the game in a Honda Accord. Dan Campbell was very emotional after the loss to Washington. In the final segment of the hour, Matthew Stafford is going to take some time to decide what to do next. Gio said he immediately goes to the top of the list of available quarterbacks. Hour 2 If the Jets are going to hire Aaron Glenn, it may happen soon now that the Lions got bounced. Ben Johnson is also available now and if teams want these guys, they have to pounce. Mike Borganzi was hired by the Titans so he's not coming to the Jets. A caller wondered, if the Chiefs are getting treated by the refs, how is this not a rigged game? Boomer said there's no way to prove the bias, but it's the perception we have. A caller talked about the Chiefs taking a safety and screwing bettors, but B&G said that helped other bettors and the players don't care about the spreads in games. Another caller wondered why the Ravens went for 2. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the final call as the Bills beat the Ravens. The Baltimore announcers said ‘the Ravens beat the Ravens'. John Harbaugh talked about Mark Andrews and how he'll handle the adversity now. We heard from Buck and Aikman as the refs do everything they can to help Mahomes. We heard both Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley score on long runs. Mike Kafka is getting a second interview with the Saints. In the final segment of the hour, Tom Brady and his agent have both said he is going to fulfil his 10 year commitment to Fox. Gio said he is rarely annoyed by broadcasters during games. Hour 3 We talked about Jalen Hurts' performance yesterday against the Rams. Boomer thought he held onto the ball for too long in many instances. We also talked about Washington and how Dan Quinn will probably be the coach of the year and Jayden Daniels will be the rookie of the year. Boomer said this is what a great quarterback can do for a team. The Giants and Jets both need that. Boomer thinks it's easier for the Giants to be at 3, since one of the quarterbacks will ‘fall to them' and it won't be their decision to make. Boomer wonders if the Raiders move up to 2 to take Shedeur Sanders. What are the Giants selling to their fans if they don't get Sanders or Cam Ward? Boomer said this Commander's team reminds him of the 2007 Giants. Caitlin Clark was in the box in Kansas City with Taylor Swift. Jerry returns for an update, but first we we talked about Al & Jerry being on YouTube now and nobody watching it. Jerry plays a message from former Bills head coach, Marv Levy. He's 99 and sounds awesome. The Ravens came up short against the Bills as Mark Andrews dropped a game tying 2-point conversion. Lamar Jackson talked about his turnovers. Texans' Kris Boyd talked about shoving his coach, sort of. Saquon Barkley ran for 205 as the Eagles beat the Rams. Dan Quinn talked about Jayden Daniels being clutch and making great decisions. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about the ...

Hour 1 NFL Divisional Weekend is upon us and the marquee game is Sunday night with the Ravens at the Bills. This game is likely to come down to who turns the ball over the most. People are acting like Lamar Jackson can't play in the cold weather. The man plays in Baltimore. Boomer wonders if the Chiefs will ever come out and just blow somebody out. Gio wonders if the Texans/Chiefs game is the big upset nobody's talking about. C-Lo is in for Jerry and is here for his first update of the day, but first we talked about Chris Berman's comb over flying in the wind. C-Lo has audio previewing the Divisional games this weekend. Aaron Rodgers was on with Pat McAfee who already doesn't like the narrative of whatever happens with Ravens/Bills. Things are not looking great between the Mets and Pete Alonso. They have a number and are not going over it. Sal is yelling for the Mets to get Vlad Jr. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about Commanders kicker Zane Gonzalez dealing with OCD while kicking high pressure field goals. The book AJ Brown was reading on the sideline is up ‘53 million percent' according to Gio. Hour 2 The Giants have the third pick and the Jets have the seventh, and both need quarterbacks. Seven of the eight QBs left in the playoffs were first round picks. Two of them were the number one pick, two were the number two pick. Gio always hears the narrative that you can get a good QB in the second round but that's really not the case. Boomer thinks Cam Ward is the best QB in the draft. It seems like Ward is going to the Titans number one. A caller doesn't like Gio saying Joe Schoen had bad drafts before this last one. Dion Sanders is not going to want Shedeur going to the Browns. C-Lo returns for an update, but first we shook a lot of hands last night so we will likely get norovirus. C-Lo starts with Nick Sirianni on the Rams and Sean McVeigh on the Eagles. Bob Uecker passed away at the age of 90. We heard Uecker on the call as the Mets eliminated the Brewers. Arod tweeted about his passing but thinks he's Cleveland's play by play guy. In the final segment of the hour, a guy who works at the Pentagon wanted to know if Boomer was coming to the inauguration. Hour 3 We wondered what playoff teams could still win if their quarterback goes down. The two best running teams are the Ravens and Eagles. Is that Boomer's Super Bowl prediction? Boomer and Phil Simms were gushing about the Ravens at last night's event. A caller wants the Giants to trade for Patriots backup Joe Milton. C-Lo returns for an update, but first the Dolphins are one of the teams playing in Madrid this upcoming season. Boomer said in 2028 or 2029 there will be an NFL division in Europe and they will all be expansion teams. Gio thinks it sucks and he hates it. Bill Belichick supposedly didn't sign his contract yet at UNC but that doesn't seem to be a big deal. Ed Werder said Jerry Jones is enamored with Deion Sanders. Adam Schein doesn't see it happening. He thinks it will be Kellen Moore. We heard Jerry Recco on the call as Rutgers won in Nebraska. In the final segment of the hour, Rams linebacker Jared Verse said he hates Eagles fans. Hour 4 We talked briefly about the Trashers hockey team from Connecticut that Netflix did a documentary about. Boomer did the Andrew Marchand podcast, but you have to pay to hear it so good luck with that. Gio hit construction this morning and had to pay more congestion pricing because he didn't get in by 5am. We talked about the best stiff arm guys of all time. C-Lo returns for his final update of the day, but first we talked about charcuterie boards (I don't know what to tell you folks). A caller said he wants to clean up the dog poop in Gio's yard (he has a poop scooping business). C-Lo starts with Rick Pitino on the Brandon Tierney podcast to talk about culture. Shannon Sharpe and Ochocinco took a question about dating from the audience. The Moment of The Day: Chris Russo rubbing down Gio and other WFAN emplo ...

We talked about Mike Tomlin and how Steeler's fans want him gone, while fans of teams in need of a head coach would love him. Boomer said Woody is making the decision on who the Jets head coach will be. Boomer said he feels like the Jets are hiring Aaron Glenn. So once again the Jets look like they're going with a first time head coach. C-Lo is in for Jerry and is here for his first update of the day, but first we talked about that time Gio used off brand ED pills and he ‘locked up' and firefighters had to come help. Gio asks if any of us have tried Viagra. C-Lo has the sounds of the Knicks beating the Sixers in Philadelphia. In the final segment of the hour, Gio got a letter in the mail by someone who doesn't like the ‘subway surfing' that's done in the show open on CBS Sports Network. CBS actually took it out of the open earlier this week. Gio wonders if it's safer on top of the subway or in the subway. Hour 2 We talked about baseball free agency concerning Vlad Guerrero Jr., Pete Alonso and the Mets. We have not seen the flurry of activity we expected from the Mets after the Juan Soto signing. Gio said nobody really cares about pitchers and catchers reporting, they just like that it means better weather is on the way. If there was a draft for months of the year, January and February have to be the 2 last picks. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with the sounds of the Knicks beating the Sixers in Philadelphia. The Nets suffered their worst loss in franchise history last night to the Clippers. Drake Maye missed the Mike Vrabel introduction because he was busy getting engaged. In the final segment of the hour, Sports Illustrated put Brianna ‘Chickenfry' from Barstool on the front cover of the swimsuit issue. Gio went over all of the controversies with ‘Chickenfry'. Hour 4 Tonight Boomer, Gio and Phil Simms are doing a chalk talk at Tellers. Gio wants Boomer to stay over his house tonight, but Boomer is not doing that. Hour 1 The two main names that are out there for the Jets head coach position are Aaron Glenn and Brian Flores. Some Jets fans seem really interested in Matt Nagy. Does his experience in Chicago help him deal with the pressures of being in NY? Boomer wouldn't be disappointed with Nagy and Mike Borganzi as GM. Jerry is here for his first update of the day, but first we talked about Sam Darnold's future with the Vikings. Gio thinks JJ McCarthy will start and Daniel Jones will be the backup. Mike Tomlin met the media to talk about the season. He was asked about teams wanting to trade for him and he said, ‘save your time'. In the final segment of the hour, Chris Russo is a huge fan of Timothee Chalamat and the Bob Dylan movie. He was finally invited to the premiere in London and got to meet him. Hour 2 We talked about the Eagles fan who went viral for calling a female Packers fan the worst word imaginable. The internet found his name and where he worked and the guy got fired. But there's another wrinkle that makes it interesting. It turns out, the Packers fans are ‘content creators' with a YouTube channel and the guy wore a bodycam to record footage. We also only see the clip of the Eagles fan and have no idea if they did anything to instigate it. They clearly went to the game to get a reaction from Eagles fans. The woman didn't seem threatened and didn't seem all that mad about it. Gio thinks all involved are ‘scumbags'. Jerry returns for an update, but first Gio is limping because his knee is swollen and he can't bend it. Jerry starts with audio of Mike Tomlin meeting the media to talk about the season. Hour 1 Sam Darnold went back to his NY Jets days with his performance last night in the loss to the Rams. He held on to the ball way too long and took too many sacks. He threw a pick and fumbled a ball that was returned for a TD. ‘Sam Darnold peed himself in the biggest moment' according to Gio. And now it looks like the Vikings will turn to JJ McCarthy next season and Darnold will go elsewhere. Gio is very annoyed today and Boomer is getting under his skin. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with Kevin Harlan on the call as Darnold fumbles and it's returned for a TD. Hour 1 Wild Card weekend is over and there were a lot of disappointing games. The most disappointing performance from an individual was Justin Herbert and the Steelers were the most disappointing team performance. The Steelers looked ‘leader-less' according to Boomer. The Ravens/Bills is going to be a great matchup of 2 MVP candidates in their prime. In the Packers/Eagles game, cameras caught AJ Brown reading a motivational book while sitting on the bench. That was him sending a message that they were barely using him. He had one catch for 10 yards. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the sounds of the Commanders beating the Bucs. We heard the Baker Mayfield fumble and the game winning FG. AJ Brown talked about the book he was reading on the sideline. Jordan Love was asked about his struggles, including 3 INTs. Josh Allen had an incredible TD throw on 4th and one. Mike Tomlin talked about the Steelers performance. The Jets seem to be waiting for someone still coaching in the playoffs. We talked about the Rooney Rule and whether it works or not. Hour 2 We talked briefly about colleges and universities having a ton of money to pay athletes and yet they are still looking for alumni to donate. Boomer got a letter from Maryland looking for money. We talked about the draft and Boomer doesn't think Shedeur Sanders will agree to go to the Titans or the Browns. That would set him up to be drafted by the Giants to play with Malik Nabers. The dream scenario for Deion would be for him to coach the Raiders and for them to draft Shedeur. There are reports Tom Brady really wants Ben Johnson for the Raiders, but there is no QB there right now. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds of Bucs radio as the Commanders kick the game winning FG. Baker Mayfield had a terrible fumble and Todd Bowles was asked about it. The Eagles beat the Packers but it wasn't pretty and Saquon talked about that. Jalen Hurts was asked about AJ Brown reading a book on the sideline. Boomer wonders how we each ‘find our flow'. George Pickens was asked after the Steelers' loss if he's optimistic going forward and he said, ‘uh, nah'. Kevin O'Connell is preparing to play as if they're playing in Los Angeles. The Patriots hired Mike Vrabel. He was banned from men's hockey in the state of California. We talked about traffic now that congestion pricing has been put into place. Boomer said businesses seem to be hurting because of it. Hour 3 We watched a lot of bad football this season in the NFL. There were a lot of really bad teams. Betting and fantasy keep us interested in teams and games that are terrible. The poor level of play even spilled into Wild Card weekend. There are a lot of things that contribute to ‘crappier football'. Boomer thinks they're adding another game and teams will have 2 bye weeks and Netflix will be in the mix for the regular season.
