Send us a textCal Raleigh aka 'The Big Dumper' hit his 26th home run this week to lead #MLB. If #Mets Tylor Megill was traded to Seattle they'd become a battery meaning the "Big Drip" would pitch to the "Big Dumper". Can we see that happen please? #Braves have lost 8 of 10 and are making the task of reaching the postseason increasingly difficult. Phillies have lost 9 of 10 and now lost Bryce Harper to another injury. #Cubs are still looking good.  #Padres Manny Machado got his 2,500th hit this week and he's played more games than any player since 2015. Is he a HOFer. We think so. #Dbacks are a disappointment as are the #RedSox and #Orioles.   How about #Royals? Shouldn't they be better? #Tigers have been great and #Guardians will hang around w #Twins. Mets season so far has featured pitchers over-performing expectations and hitters like Soto and Nimmo underperforming. Can it last? We have our doubts. The bullpen has also been excellent led by Edwin Diaz who looks like prime "Sugar" and arms that find ways to get outs. Manager Carlos Mendoza has already become one of the best in the game.  Can Pete Alonso keep it up? Francisco Lindor continues to play at a Hall of Fame level every day. What will the team do with Brett Baty, Mark Vientos, Luisangel Acuna and Ronny Mauricio? They all cannot get playing time. And Jeff McNeil is starting to produce wherever he plays. Intro & Outro music this season courtesy of Mercury Maid! Hour 1 The Knicks suffered a disappointing Game 2 loss to the Pistons, which Gio describes as "off and weird". Boomer believes OG Anunoby was frustrated by a lack of late-game touches. Gio criticized Thibs for blaming officials and called a potential series loss "pathetic." Jerry's update began with the sounds of the Knicks' defeat at MSG, where Thibs cited rebounding as the key difference. Meanwhile, the Mets beat the Phillies with Francisco Lindor hitting two more home runs, and Jesse Winker also homered, noting the home crowd's impact. The Yankees lost to Cleveland after Clarke Schmidt allowed consecutive home runs. Russell Wilson's press conference focused on himself, while Jets GM Darren Mougey avoided discussing Aaron Rodgers. The hour concluded with a discussion on how the Pistons' strategic play forced the Knicks to adapt. Hour 2 Gio feels Karl-Anthony Towns doesn't embody the superstar mentality, lacking visible disappointment or fire. Boomer countered that Towns simply had an off night and couldn't find his rhythm. Before Jerry's update, Gio expressed disbelief at people falling for fake Adam Schefter reports on X. Jerry's update featured Mike Breen's call of the Knicks' Game 2 loss, with Thibs discussing the need to win differently. They then played a clip of the Clippers' play-by-play announcer, whom they found unauthentic, and mentioned Shaq abruptly leaving the set due to olive oil consumption. Hour 3 The Mets are thriving at home, drawing large crowds and benefiting from outstanding pitching. Jesse Winker highlighted the home-field advantage. Boomer joked they won't need Grimace this year. Gio jokingly blamed Fat Joe's presence at the Knicks game for their loss, citing a "Fat Joe curse." Jerry's update began with the Knicks' Game 2 defeat at the Garden, where Coach Thibs criticized the foul shot disparity. Charles Barkley advised Mavs GM Nico Harrison to stop doing press conferences. The Yankees lost to Cleveland after Clarke Schmidt gave up consecutive home runs. The Mets beat the Phillies, though Edwin Diaz made it tense, with Carlos Mendoza commenting on his performance. Jalen Milroe addressed potentially joining the Giants QB room. The hour concluded with Jared from Audacy's digital department discussing strategies to increase YouTube viewership for Al & Jerry's Postgame Podcast. Hour 4 Boomer is anticipating the NFL draft on Thursday and the subsequent Friday show covering both the draft and Knicks/Pistons Game 3, following the Knicks' Game 2 loss which tied the series 1-1, a series Gio feels has been competitive and physical, though the Knicks are slightly underperforming. Jerry's final update led with audio of the Knicks' loss. "Inside The NBA" apologized for falsely reporting someone's death. Thibs was frustrated by perceived officiating disparities favoring the Pistons. The Mets defeated the Phillies with Francisco Lindor hitting two more home runs, while Clarke Schmidt allowed consecutive home runs in the Yankees' loss. Hour 1 Today's show features Gio & Jerry as Boomer is out. They discussed Luka Doncic's 45-point return to Dallas, calling his trade and Denver's coach/GM firing unusual NBA moves. Relating this to the Knicks and Thibs, Jerry believes they can compete with Boston in a 6 or 7 game playoff series, while Gio predicts a second-round loss to Boston in the same timeframe. C-Lo's update included the Yankees' win (despite a shaky finish), Cody Bellinger's five-year chicken wing ban due to food poisoning, Gio and Jerry's fake scalped ticket stories, the Mets' shutout loss, and the White Sox's latest defeat involving Mike Tauchman. Later, Doncic received a standing ovation in Dallas. The hour concluded with Pat Boyle seeking a Masters golfer to bet on and Gio watching a tornado documentary on Netflix. Hour 2 Gio isn't overly concerned about Devin Williams' early struggles, recalling Edwin Diaz's initial adjustment in New York. He criticized Brett Baty's throwing error and questioned Jeff McNeil's continued presence on the Mets. Regarding the Masters, Gio prefers top 20 bets. A caller shared details about Masters ticket prices and pickup. Jerry joked about shooting a 150 at Augusta. C-Lo's update included the Yankees' win. The show discussed Chris Russo's disbelief over Cody Bellinger's hotel chicken wing order and Keith McPherson's unfamiliarity with "scuttlebutt." Zach Gelb interviewed Ian Eagle about his and his son's Emmy nominations. Luka Doncic's 45-point return was mentioned again. The final segment covered the Rangers missing the playoffs, which annoyed Al last year, and the current Giants draft talk also bothers him, with a question raised about the lack of Jets quarterback draft discussion. Hour 3 Justin Fields addressed media questions about the Jets potentially drafting a quarterback, stating he doesn't answer rhetorical questions but is open to teaching. Jerry believes Fields still needs instruction himself. The Steelers lack a quarterback, and Aaron Rodgers didn't appear at Pat McAfee's Pittsburgh show. The upcoming Kickoff to Summer show was mentioned. C-Lo's update covered Masters practice rounds. Allen Lazard is staying with the Jets on a reduced contract. DeShaun Watson claimed doubters will be proven wrong, but Gio called him a "slimeball loser." The show also pondered OnlyFans' profitability despite free content. The hour concluded with a discussion about Al Leiter's field in Bayville, NJ, where Jerry's son recently played, noting Al's funding of the field. Hour 4 Thibs' job might be in jeopardy if the Knicks underperform in the playoffs, especially with Michael Malone available. The Rangers will have a new coach next season, highlighting the NHL's trend of rehiring coaches. The show questioned why good coaches are repeatedly fired instead of addressing player issues.
