With plenty of names expected to hit the market, the Giants will have opportunities to upgrade key positions, but how aggressive will Joe be in making moves?  One of the biggest names on the market is Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins. At just 26 years old, Higgins has shown flashes of elite play, but injuries have limited him over the past two seasons. He's never caught more than 75 passes in a season, but has still managed to put up strong numbers as a No. 2 receiver.The offensive line remains a major concern, and Chiefs guard Trey Smith could be a big-time addition. At 25 years old, Smith has been one of the best guards in the league, ranking 11th overall per PFF. However, his medical history—specifically blood clots in his lungs—will be a major factor in any long-term deal. The secondary is another area that needs attention, and Dolphins safety Jevon Holland is a name to watch. Though he had a down year in 2024, his previous seasons have been stellar. The same goes for Jets cornerback D.J. Reed, who has been a consistent presence in coverage. Reed has experience mentoring Sauce Gardner?  Another wide receiver option could be Bucs veteran Chris Godwin. While he's coming off an ankle injury, Godwin has been a reliable target for years, catching nearly everything thrown his way. He has experience as a WR2 alongside Mike Evans in Tampa Bay, meaning he could seamlessly transition into a similar role in New York. If the Giants want to go the veteran route, Stefon Diggs and Amari Cooper are two big names to consider. Diggs, at 31, is coming off a season-ending ACL tear, while Cooper just had the worst statistical year of his career. Are they past their prime, or do they have enough left in the tank to be difference-makers?  On the offensive line, Ravens tackle Ronnie Stanley and Vikings tackle Cam Robinson could be options, but both have had injury concerns in recent years. If the Giants want to upgrade the right tackle spot, would either player be willing to switch positions?  At running back, Aaron Jones is set to hit the market after another productive season. While he's still effective, he'll be turning 30, and the Giants have to consider how much gas he has left in the tank. The cornerback market is also intriguing, with players like 49ers CB Charvarius Ward, Bills CB Rasul Douglas, and Lions CB Carlton Davis III available. Each brings a different skill set, but which one makes the most sense for the Giants' scheme?  Finally, 49ers safety Talanoa Hufanga could be an under-the-radar signing. Hour 1 Today is the day Rex Ryan gets his interview with the Jets. Rex and Brian Flores are the only decent candidates for the Jets. Gio would prefer the ‘next Rex' over the old Rex. Gio said no other team would even ‘sniff' Rex Ryan. Why isn't Jon Gruden on anybody's list? Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with John Mara saying, ‘we stunk this year'. Joe Schoen was asked if he talked to Shedeur Sanders. Jeff Ulbrich gushed about the Jets players and the locker room. Rex Ryan was on ESPN radio and said he's getting the Jets job because, ‘I'm the best guy and it isn't close'. Robert Kraft took responsibility for Jerod Mayo's lack of success. Jerry Jones was an actor on a TV show called ‘Landman' and Jerry has some clips. He sounded really genuine. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer said Sam Darnold had a hard time handling the blitzes against the Lions. He probably lost some confidence and looked flustered, so the Rams will probably try to do the same thing. Hour 2 Boomer was busy texting us all a bunch of Instagram reels. Gio was learning about black holes yesterday and Boomer said there is no way he will ever be in one so not to worry about it. An old man caller said he's trying to sell his Giants season tix which he's had for 65 years. He watched old guys play like Frank Gifford. We talked about the Giants lack of quarterback play for a couple years now and are not expecting much for next season. Gio is liking Kyler Murray these days and would be interested in him as a QB for a team that is not drafting a QB. He's a quality ‘scrap heap guy'. Boomer said because of his contract it is going to be costly for a team. Boomer is looking for some ‘change of scenery guys'.
